    Shrimp Burger (Special)

First timer here! My husband and I came for lunch. First, the young man at the counter was killing it! Idk his relation with the establishment but their lucky to have him. The food was good. I loved my shrimp but not my whiting. It wasn't well seasoned in my opinion and pretty thin, thinner than others I've had. My husband had the shrimp burger and he liked it but didn't like that it broke apart easily. The pineapple lemonade was really good! It was nice and clean on the inside. I'll definitely come back! Nice spot for some real good home cooking seafood.

Delicious , hot & fresh food. Good soft, music to enjoy my dinner with. Croaker w 10 piece shrimp & 3, yes 3 sides! Super nice & friendly, making sure everything was good. Try. Low. Country. Shrimper!

Besides placing orders and eating in or as take-out, they cater too!

I came here for the first time this past Friday night with some girlfriends for my birthday. My Hubby was out of town and as the ladies were texting earlier in the week on where I may want to go, I knew it should be where I normally don't go to (due to hubby's food allergies which includes shellfish, gluten, dairy, nuts, tomatoes, etc. . ) eat. Maybe because I was just up north last month and had my share of lobster, shrimp, crab, etc . . I was still in the mood for it and wanting to find a casual place. Looking on Yelp helps! And as my friends texted possibilities, I was checking out reviews and decided on this one. We were calling it "the hole in the wall" since I wouldn't have noticed when I driving down Butler Rd. Apparently it was packed per one friend's text at 6:30 pm but we had a table. It's one of those, order/pay at the counter (very nice young staff), get a number and find an available table, they bring the food out to you. They were really good about swinging by the table to ask if you wanted more refills, etc. I had the shrimp & grits. Very tasty!! (Sidenote: my daughter made me lunch with shrimp pad Thai and the shrimp was too tough). This one was great! One of my friends ordered some type of dinner plate that came with three sides that she had to select. She got fries and two small salads which she gave one to me (she's not a big fan of vegetables) and that was quite delicious, nice and fresh! Another had ordered crabcake & grits. Prices were decent, good food, casual atmosphere (there was at least one tv on the wall), excellent service. I'll be back and only wished this existed when our kids were younger!

    16 Piece Shrimp Basket

I heard so many great things about this place, so I tried it for the first time. I unfortunately was not pleased with the fact that I only got 11 pieces of shrimp. Which should have been a 16 piece order. I probably would have let it go, had I not paid more than $15, and driven more than 20 minutes. The online price states 9.99, so that needs to be changed. Other than that the overall the flavor was decent. Not sure if I'll be back.

Tables are filled quickly but serviced fast. Food comes out hot and fresh. Dining area is a bit loud during lunch. We ordered the cheddar hushpuppies( soft and melts in the mouth) and nola grilled gulf oysters (savory;garlic butter, herbs, parmgiano-regiano, pecorino romano, crusty bread) for our appetizers. We loved the nola grilled oysters it is so fresh and delicous. We decided to try a platter of different kinds of oysters. My favorite is the sweet jesus( Maryland oysters ;sweet and clean, less salty). Also tryed a dozen of the happy hour barcat oysters from Chesapeake Bay Virginia ( meaty texture;salty to sweet finish). The most fresh tasting oysters I've tasted in the east coast. They shuck the oysters for you too. For our main plate we both had the charleston shrimp burger(housemade shrimp pattie, lettuce, tomato, charred lemon caper tartar sauce, brioche bun). The shrimp burger is amazing!!!!The best seafood burger I've ever tasted on the east coast. I would recommend 10/10. The photo can be deceiving, quality of the shrimp pattie is unmatched on the east coast. Overall, this restaurant is excellent for fresh seafood. There is more seafood menu items other then oysters and shrimp, looking forward for our next visit!!!!
