We are constantly frustrated when eating at restaurants over the last couple of years…read more Today, we thought we would try something outside of our norm. Wow, we made a great decision trying Mama Juana Latin Fusion. We had an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in and were greeted by the host, we knew this was going to be something different. The host asked, and was genuinely excited when we told him it was our first time in. When the waiter arrived, he was excited to tell us about the menu, as well as the food itself. He enthusiastically explained that while they had Mexican dishes, authentic Latin food was their real specialty. He made great recommendations and took great care of us throughout the meal. We chose to try the empanadas (1 cheese, 1 chicken, and 1 steak) and some cheese dip with chorizo. Both were exceptional. Full of flavor. My wife and I agreed to split 2 entrees, and that was another good decision. I had the Cachapa with shredded chicken, and she had the Venezuelan Arepas. Neither of us had ever had these dishes, but both were amazing. We were stuffed, but no way we couldn't take a desert home for later. The flan and the Tres Leches were both AWESOME! If you are on the fence, just try this place. You will be glad you did! They take a tremendous of pride in the quality of the food. The restaurant was very clean and had a great ambiance.

It looked the way I wear one when I'm cleaning my house. (2) We were going to order some drinks but the bar was closed and only canned or bottled beer was available so that was a bummer. (3) We could BARELY understand what the server was saying and she was American ‍. (4) The menu was ok, you can choose different items like a mix and match boil and we ordered crab leg boil and shrimp boil which came out relatively quick in a puffed up plastic wrap. It comes with 2 small potatoes and 1 piece of corn mixed in. The food was very good!! No complaints on that at all. Nicely seasoned and plenty of juice to sop up the corn and potatoes with. Regardless of the minor flaws, I would recommend this place for the food alone!

First it started off with not being served or seeing our waitress for at least 10 minutes, mine you it was not busy surprisingly. Then when our waitress came she did not apologize for the wait. Next when she brought us the food we were missing shrimp out of our order and after correcting it, it still seemed like it was skimpy in sauce and protein. If that wasn't bad enough our server kept disappearing for long periods of time. When I attempted to address management about the issue, they didn't apologize or make up for the horrible service. When time to check out our bill had extra mussels even though we didn't order those. So overall this was a highly disappointing time and I don't know if I will be back.

This bean dip was missing something, I'm not completely sure what, but salt and pepper helped. The green and pumpkin-based creamy salsas had the right flavors but were a bit watered down. The red salsa I tried (see photo) was dead-on delish, and the tomatillo was fantastic, with vibrancy and depth; IMO no Mexican food chain does tomatillo salsa better than Papas. - The Huevos Divorciados was a dish I'd had before but never at this chain. This one was mediocre and uninspired. Nice runny yolks would improve it considerably. - To me, if you're not serving esquite with fresh corn, you should just leave it off the menu. No matter how much you try to dress up canned corn, it gives "grade-school cafeteria" vibes. - Service was friendly and attentive - high marks here!

Only complaint is the cups for salsa are too small. Service is very fast. Be ready to eat when you order 'cause the food will be out in minutes. Good beer selection. But the Margaritas are the star. Several flavors to choose from. You can't go wrong with the house Margarita. The ambiance is Mexican family restaurant. There are booths in the bar if you'd rather be away from kids. Plenty of free parking.

Randi responded that she did not work in the kitchen and they did not tell her..... In my view this is More of a reflection on the Management. The interior is really cute and little more upscale with a very cozy fire place in the middle and plenty of outdoor/patio seating. We ordered our drinks and appetizers. Appetizers didn't come out until about 15 minutes later for the crab bisque and a ceaser salad. The soup was good but there were multiple pieces of shell that I was pulling out. Salad was mediocre. After another 15 minutes our burgers came via a different server. They were pretty good! Not the best I've ever had but better than basic bar food. Our server was no longer to found after that. We waited for about 20 minutes and no one was to found. Overall the food was good but I'm not sure I'll be returning due to the staffing issue.
