Such a cool pizza bar! They have so many beer options and some specialty craft pizzas. Their menu had me laughing. Nothing about their pizza is traditional and that's what I love! My friend said that she saw a write about this place and asked if we could go here for lunch one day when I travelled to Naples for work. Of course, duh! We arrived and the place only had a few seats left. Apparently everyone else in Naples read this review as well. From what I understand they have a brick oven pizza that was imported from Italy, at leas that is what my friend told me. We were greeted by an older gentleman who sat us at a hightop table. The decor of the place is like Spencer's Gift Shop from the mall blew up inside. There are tons of posters of bands, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sightings, black lights, stickers, etc. It's fun for someone like me who grew up in the era when most of the things seen inside bring back memories. Anyhoo, we ordered 2 local beers on draft. The have a really expansive list of beers and they will explain to you that they have those beers and then point to another section of $hitty beers (that is literally what the headlines says lol) that include Bud Light and other domestics. We ordered a dad bod salad, ranch tater tots, garlic Parmesan wings, and the special pizza of the day, Hawaiian five-o. The dad bod salad is AWESOME! The portion is HUGE! Romain lettuce, olives, tomatoes, pickled onions, banana peppers, salami, parmesan, and "croutons" they make from pizza dough, tossed with a vinaigrette. SO FREAKING GOOD!! The wings were ok. We found them very salty, like maybe they accidentally slated them twice. They were very tender and juicy with a nice crisp skin and they are smoked. Maybe we would get a different flavor when we go again. The ranch tater tots are something right out of the table that the gods eat at. THEY ARE SO GOOD!! They are fluffy, creamy, crispy and pair perfectly with the ranch. That is some d@mn good ranch also! Next time we go, we are trying the other tater tots with the pimento and cheese. The pizza was disappointing. The dough itself was pretty good, but, for some reason, it did not hold the toppings at all. When I picked up a slice to try, it drooped down and alllllll of the toppings came off. Straight up an avalanche, no foundational support. It wasn't like there was a ton of stuff on the pizza either. The sauce tasted to me like it was just crushed tomatoes, as I could not taste anything else but tomato in it. Some people are allergic to pepper and spices. I could not identify what was making our mouths burn but we have more taste buds than most people. Back at this amazing gem! I was in the area for work and my work colleagues went with me. They hadn't been here before and they were in for a treat. We all tried the local brews of beers and each had a pizza. The workers here really enjoy their job and it shows. The vibe, the food, and everything in between in excellent at this place. In town tonight and wanted to find a place to grab some pizza and tried here based on the good reviews. I tried to call in a order but the phones were too busy so I had to order online. I got a Maggie's Brother and added pepperoni to it and then an order of pizza bones. The pizza is cooked well done as expected in this type of oven. Look good tasted great. The pizza bones were surprisingly better than I expected. No char. They came with two dips, a queso and then marinara. Marinara was alright. I preferred the queso. Basket of wings come piping hot and the juicy insides beg for the dry rub. Each visit requires a basket. WARNING: Try this place and you'll be hooked! Recently moved to Naples and have visited lowbrow many times it's a very unique and wonderful experience that I can't say I've seen anywhere else. The food is absolutely fantastic and the staff is amazing as well have yet to have a pizza we didn't like or anything on the menu for that matter. The Long: After a great relaxing weekend in Naples, we were heading back home and in need of some dinner. We were looking for something casual and not too long. Along came Lowbrows Pizza and Beer as "Hot and New" on Yelp. After taking a quick look at their pictures and reviews, we were in! The inside has a very cool relaxed vibe with graffiti/paintings all over the walls. We were seated right away and took a look at the menu. Very puny names such as the Cheesus H. Crust and the Rando Calrosian. We started off with some pizza bones and WTC's which is their version of garlic bread and wings. DELICIOUS!! We then put in our pizza orders. I ordered the pepper-bro-ni which has pepperoni, smoked brisket, ricotta, garlic mushrooms and charred onions. The wait was a little long, but well worth it. Pizza had nice char from the coal fire oven. Food overall was really good. They also had a good selection of craft and standard beers. Lowbrow is a hidden gem. The establishment serves a variety of funky and creative food wood fired pizzas, bar food, and local craft beers. I visited for lunch yesterday with a co-worker and had the Facemelter Pizza. The pizza was phenomenal and a perfect combination of flavors! The thin lightly crisp and smoky crust was topped with flavorful tomato sauce, gooey mozzarella, creamy ricotta, flavorful and lightly spicy pepperoni and cappicola, juicy fermented chilies, and just a hint of sweet honey (a nice touch). The pizza wasn't very spicy, as the name implies, but had a nice amount of spiciness that complimented the other flavors of the pizza very well. The prices were also very reasonable especially compared to other restaurants in the area. Overall, this is a place I would visit frequently if I were a local and will be my first choice to visit again next time I'm in Naples. read more
