Don't buy anything from Lowe's. I bought a mower w/ extended warranty last year brand-box states guaranteed to start. The first mower was assembled had to be Returned and Replaced due to no start condition. the replacement worked fine until it didn't about 5 days before the one year mfg. warranty ended 5-26-26. Jumping back to time frame of right now with customer service repeated phone calls lowes stated the purchase of my mower could only be returned to store with in 30 to 45 days after originally purchase and Lowe's used the original purchase date which I already knew would happen thus that's the one of the-reasons I bought an extended warranty on original mower in case anything happened to start with. I don't usually purchase extended warranty first of all so this is my first experience... i was told at local store that's a manufacture issue. Repeatedly I assume there experience can tell with out looking at mower or checking it i was Informed the same From Customer service both heavily leaned towards that answer could not figure out why they kept saying it was a mfg issue In fairness that's ok assuming date of purchase and failure my next step was to call mfg so I called they told me to take to my local Lowe's store.. Seems like run around and bs to me, my thoughts after conversations with the store is where to send this Mower or am I suppose to send my mower to Mfg like you and everyone keeps telling me at Lowe's. Not realistic. I asked Lowe's manager and sales reps to include on line chat and via phone with customer service they couldn't tell me what to do Not a single person helped. Apparently Lowe's no longer sends equipment out for repairs by a new policy and procedures that changed after or before my purchase but associates were not aware during my purchase apparently no one told me and they still took my money for that service, Out of Principle I fought them for this entire summer and I eventually gave up in the beginning of summer because i used our electric mower most of the summer but with all the rain it's another Lowe's disappointing purchase I finally had it with Lowe's . The warranty company and customer service all jokes. I called repair warranty company again and again along with store and placed a online claim it was denied even though it was in the two year extension of warranty period because the original date of failure was five days before the mfg warranty ended, note it is now several months past the mfg warranty period and clearly in the the extended Lowe's coverage warranty and that' should contractually cover but they refuse I'm stuck taking to service repair center at my cost. note the issue is not fuel related for all you haters it's not maintenance related either it's an actual warranty covered item that when engine is warm it's stops running. Terrible service, yesterday Hassan Holliday, a department manager screamed at my 87 year old mother and left her sobbing. She was referred to the store by corporate to replace a gift card. This worker presented himself as the Store Manger and treated my mother so rudely. Apparently abusing the elderly is his thing, I would suggest that you skip this store. I went to Lowe's to get a new screen door, they would not sell me one for installation unless I pay $35 to have somebody tell me the size of my door. So I paid the $35 to have the door measured, then they called me up and told me that I had to replace my perfectly goodfront door because they would only replace the screen door if I replaced my front door so they expected me to replace my $3000 door with another door for absolutely no reason. Went to Home Depot, their screen doors cost less, and I will have the door installed within three days. They saw no reason for anything to be changed. Guess who I will go to next time ! read more

I visited store #2589 on 12/9 and had the worst experience ever. Nicole who is supposed to be the supervisor of the appliances department has the worst attitude. She is very rude and disrespectful. She yelled at me and walked away from the desk after I asked for a manager. The assistant manager who she got to help me was very blunt and short in his responses. He seemed unphased when I voiced my concern about Nicole and held no accountability. He also refused to provide names of the employees when I informed him that I would be filing a complaint. On June 1st my friend and I were shopping for plants. The staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about the plants we were buying. As I was helping to load all of the plants into the car, I plopped my purse into the shopping cart. Once everything was loaded, we headed home. Once we got home , I noticed that I had left my purse in the cart. Rushing back to the store, I went right to the customer service desk. The young lady behind the counter was kind and sympathetic to my dilemma. A young man behind the counter walked over, reached under the counter and handed me my purse. He said he found it in a cart when he was bring them in from the parking lot. Nothing was missing. I was so grateful. These two Employees were kind and genuinely happy to return my purse to me. They made no snide remark, no eye rollin, etc. In my excitement of getting my purse back, I failed to get their names. I truly have never been here and it have more than 30 cars in the parking lot. I wasn't sure why until I tried to make a purchase. They had a huge clearance section and I found a bag of bottles for a $1. I asked a lady to verify that they were the correct price and she confirmed it. I walked around and when I get to the register the cashier says it's $12. I was thinking wait it says $1. So she checks with someone else and she said no look it's $1 times 12 bottles. Oh I don't see $1 each I see, price $1. Then she points down the 4" labels and says see x12. Who prices anything like that? A huge $1 sign on a label then after you go to buy it, it's $12. Ordered a washer dryer on Black Friday. How exciting--I thought--to get a discount AND get my new washer dryer in the house we'd just moved into. It's been absolute hell for an entire week--and we still have no appliances. What ensued was a classic run-around, bounced from this store to that store, to the delivery service, to customer service, to yet another store, and then back again to the very beginning. With no washer dryer to be seen. Another yelper had an identical experience to ours a few years ago: Paul G. said: Ordered Washer / Dryer online from this store. There was a problem with the order and they were not able to deliver. At that point I received a message that they would contact me again with an ETA on when new units could be delivered. Sunday I called the delivery company and was told that they didn't know anything about it and I should contact Lowe's. So I called the Bel Air Lowe's where the order had been placed. They had trouble finding my order but after some searching, for some reason, they were able to find it. They told me I had to contact the White Marsh store. Lowes, you're mostly fine. Your delivery guys this time around, however, failed. From the start, the delivery guy took one look at me, frowned, and barely spoke. He did not introduce himself. He went about working on the lower building door with tools to keep it open. I was confused about the delivery, thinking that hookup would include putting the drip pan in. The guy wasn't exactly pleasant, explaining and showing me why, but ok. I had other questions, but the delivery guy decided to insult me to my face in my house, for asking questions that, as a paying customer, I'm entitled to do. He interrupted once, twice, then told me to let him speak, because "You don't know anything." Partially true about plumbing and appliances, but that's kind of beside the point, AND the reason I asked questions. I do know about customer service. And that was not what I got. That man was salty from the moment *I* greeted him. I've been having delivery and service people in and out of my condo quite a lot over the past 2 months because of a flood in my building. Every single person who has come out has been courteous enough to at least listen and answer my questions. The bulk of the order came from Lowe's in Avondale PA and that came through on time with a courteous driver. However, the order from Lowe's Abingdon was 3 weeks of run-around, hours on the phone with customer service, incident reports filed, and straight up lies told to me by Lowe's and the shipping company XPO. Do not get any appliances delivered from them. I ordered a fridge online as my fridge died. Took off work the day of delivery. They were two hours late, said they couldn't put the fridge where it was supposed to do I told them to put it in the garage and we would try to get it upstairs. They unwrapped it and there was a big dent in the front door. They took it back. So the delivery coordinator called and said that they have 3 in stock but couldn't do anything until the other came back tomorrow then they would have to reschedule another delivery. Meanwhile, my food is in coolers spoiling. What happened to the sense of ergency when it comes to customer satisfaction. This is clearly Lowes fault and they just shrugged it off like "oh well". I,ve been in customer service for over 20 years (a few of them working at Lowes) and I've never seen such ill regards for the satisfaction of their customers. Even though this Lowe is on Constant Friendship, a busy and sometime hectic street, this is my go to location for all of my home improvement needs. People are very helpful and friendly here, and unlike the home depot locations, the workers actually ask if you need help and are located through out the store. Overall, great location and it has about everything that I need right away. read more

Well, the carpet is installed. What a mess of a process this was! I will not use Lowe's again for custom ordered carpet. They make it entirely too difficult to get the work completed in a timely fashion. I ordered 160sq. yards of Mohawk Smart Strand and the Mohawk padding (which we absolutely love) and the installers were polite over the phone scheduling installation. I was repeatedly told that it was a "one day job" and the installers would get the work done quickly. The installation took 12.5 hours and I don't understand where 12.5 hours = 1 day installation!!!!! They sent two installers who worked hard, but were overwhelmed with the work. I spent the entire day cleaning up after them (loose razor blades on the floor and scrap carpet/padding). I also ran the vacuum for them so that they could keep working. At 8pm, the supervisor shows up and has a "pow-wow" with the installers in the front yard of my house. Instead of coming back in to finish the job, they start cleaning up outside! They come back inside after cleaning up only to finish around 9pm. I paid Lowe's $.42 per square foot for them to move furniture and haul away the old carpet. I spent my entire day cleaning up after the installers and moving furniture. I would also like to mention that I demanded the carpet to be power stretched (I recommend everyone reading this who buys carpet in the future researches how power stretching is required to be completed at installation to ensure full product warranty's). It was obvious that the installers did not have a lot of experience with the power stretcher because it took them a substantial amount of time in each room to arrange the poles on the power stretcher. Thanks Lowe's for sending me to Home Depot. I am building a new home, and we will send our 5,000 sq. feet of flooring to them....... read more

My husband and I were in this Lowes last evening. Friday December 6. Originally we were there to get one item, so we didn't think that we would need a cart. But after looking around we wanted to get more things and decided that we would need a cart. So my husband went to get one and accidentally happen to walk through a section that was apparently off limits to customers, because one of the employees (Amanda) snapped at him in a nasty way, telling him that he wasn't supposed to go through that way. The way she spoke to him was completely uncalled for and very unprofessional. If we hadn't have needed what we were there specifically for, we would have left right on the spot. With rude, nasty employees like that working there, we most likely won't be back. Which really sucks because we spend a lot of money in that store. read more

Last week I went back to this location three times to pick up some additional flower pots. The first time I went was early in the day and no one was in the Garden center. I could not get the pots myself because they were very high up on the top shelf of one of the metal units. I walked around to find someone to assist and no one was available. There were very few staff on the floor in other departments. Second visit, different time - midday, same story. Finally, on the third visit I stopped in at about 7 pm. There was a cashier in the garden shop but no one else. The line was stacking up behind me so I decided to go to the customer service desk and request a manager. The young lady was very polite and paged for a manager to call the service desk. Over the 15 minutes I stood there, she paged at least six times. There was no response to her calls for assistance. No manager came; no manager called her. I felt terrible for the staff members who were trying to help, but how is it possible that in mid-Spring with a busy outdoor season at hand, the store is understaffed and no management on site? An older gentlemen from the outdoor equipment was willing to climb the steep ladder and get me the pots I needed. This store was not managed so poorly when it opened. I don't understand how Lowe's can disregard these issues. I went back today at about 2:00 to get some outdoor replacement cushions and was assisted through the tight aisles by a lovely young lady. There was only one cashier working and 6 people in line. Shame on you Lowe's, this store needs to be fixed. Other than the flower pots and cushions, I have been doing all of my other shopping at the nearby Home Depot - you have lost at least $1,000 in sales from me so far this month. I purchased a lawn mower online for pick-up at this location because it was closer to my residence. I always read the reviews first but made the arrangements anyway. I arrived around 530pm after work and got in-line behind one individual working with one of two a customer reps; the other rep was on the phone which seemed to be a customer. I started to replay the negative reviews in my head, as no one advised me or the customers building up on the line behind me; "someone will be with you shortly". It was my turn around 15 minutes + later eventually approached the rep working with the man in front of me. I explained that I purchased an item online and she asked for my name. She stated that she was going into the back to look for it and she would be right back. So I'm thinking she would check the back, return to say I would have to go to the rear and pick-up my unit. To my surprise, she returned with my mower on a flat bed and proceeded to check me out. I'm satisfied with my first visit to this Lowe's and will return; if my future visits are not customer supportive, my next review will be applicable. read more

I am absolutely disgusted by the customer service, craftsmanship of subcontractors, and over all lack of caring I have received from Lowes store #2589 in Abingdon, MD. I spent $12,773.00 on my flooring project with Lowes. The install was done on 11/23/2020 and 11/24/202. Not only was the craftsmanship of the install absolutely terrible, but they actually did damage to my home. Since having Lowes install my floors my home is no longer up to building code and there is actually safety concerns regarding the damages caused by Lowes subcontractors. Almost a month later I have been the one to reach out to Lowes all but two times, both of those times were followed up with vague conversation about how they will be in touch soon but of course never have. I have called the manager, I have call the customer service line, I have written the customer service people, all met with the same we will look into it and give you a call back. Almost $13k in work and not a single call from management after hearing about damage to my home. I still have yet to receive an apology or a date for when they will be fixing my floors (not installed correctly, you can see the planks are bent from them beating them together, and you can feel the lips because they don't meet correctly due to bending), stairs (which they cut the nose of my stairs off with a saw), ceilings (they cause two rooms of my home to have nail pops all the way across the ceiling due to them slamming the boxes of planks down in the rooms above), my damaging the water line to my fridge, knocking pictures off my walls, leaving my dining room furniture outside in the dark, and many other issues that would take entirely too long to type out individually. Husqvarna lawn mower. In for repair twice in sixteen months. 1st time repair was free. 2nd time, $102.00. Three year warranty which did not cover the clutch assembly. When I asked exactly what the warranty covered, the answer was "I don't know, every manufacturer is different. Had I purchased the extended warranty, any and every repair would have been covered." In other words, screw you pal! During my 42 years of home ownership, I have never ever had a lawn mower fail and need repair. That said, obviously you need to stay away from Husqvarna mowers since neither they nor the dealer has any credibility. I am extremely disappointed in Lowes. I bought a fridge in October, its been fucked up since day 1 (doors and lights don't work), and its taken until now (March!!) for them to agree to send a replacement. However, the idiots scheduled the pick up of broken fridge, and delivery of new fridge for different days. Broken fridge got picked up 2 days ago. (the pick up guys were at least very nice and efficient) They never called to say when new fridge is arriving, just that its sometime today. So my fiance calls to find out what time. He gets put on hold for 30+ mins. Hangs up and calls back. Put on hold another 15 or 20 mins. Then Lowe's hangs up. He calls back. They hang up. He calls back. They refuse to answer. Repeatedly. So he drives 45 mins to the store for the bitch manager to be completely useless, and make excuses for not answering phone, tells him there is no delivery scheduled for us, and they won't come today. Never mind that our food has been defrosting in Coolers for 2 days already and is well on its way to Ruined by now. She refuses to cooperate at all, and acts like she doesn't give a shit, and just keeps repeating "Well I don't have a delivery for you." instead of fixing the fucking problem they created. If I didn't need a fucking fridge so bad, I'd get a refund and go elsewhere but I don't have fucking time to go fridge shopping again! Fucking Bullshit.
