The service is rather spotty. Starting with calls to the place, most times you get misdirected, hung up on or the person is hard to understand. At the store you need to roam the aisles to find some to help as they seem to be short staffed all the time. While the selection of items is acceptable, they seem not to stock specialty items and their accessories. Do not attempt to ask for an item not found and ask them to call you back for they won't. Their follow up is atrocious. I have submitted several requests to have an appt set up for a kitchen remodel and they have yet to call me. This location is abysmal. I've gone in on a number of occasions and waited over 30 minutes for attention from staff who seem more concerned with socializing and passing off responsibility. I recently decided to install some laminate in my 221 sq ft living room. I had planned this to be a weekend project, but decided to have the Lowe's team do the install. I had already purchased the flooring and underlayment, so I did not anticipate too much more than the $1.99/sq ft install fee they advertise. I was wrong. I paid to have them come and formally measure the space to calculate their estimate and they returned a quote of nearly $1100. When I started questioning why there was such a big difference between the rough quote I calculated and what they quoted, I was treated like a simpleton who couldn't possibly understand how complex the project was. Their sign clearly says the $1.99 includes the labor and even moving the furniture in the area; turns out it does not. There was a charge for removal of existing flooring, another charge to haul off the flooring, another to remove baseboards and I would have to move the furniture and provide separate areas for the workers to stage their materials and tools and make cuts. I can singlehandedly remove the carpet, pad and tack strip in less than an hour; why it's such a labor intensive job for a team of experienced men, I don't understand. I will be returning the flooring and having a more competent company do the job start to finish and drive an extra couple blocks to the Home Depot in the future. read more

Let me start by saying I am a young woman and home owner. My friend (male) went with me to Lowe's for the first trip, where I decided to trust them with the vanity top install. This is the only part of my double bathroom remodel I'm not doing myself. They did not address me, they addressed him. When I informed them it's MY house the work is being done on, they continued with 'well who is paying for it?' Wow. Seriously? That would be me, dipshit. Fast forward, after the correction, I've gotten 2 phone calls for my friend, why? Why is his name on this information at all? I answered and explained immediately that my name is Shelby and this is my house, I am who they are talking to regarding the vanity install. The response, 'oh *friends name* must be your parent. We put the name on here who is paying for it.' SERIOUSLY?! AGAIN?! The blatant disrespect I've experienced now 3 times as a young woman in a home improvement store is disgusting. If it weren't for the extreme professionalism I've gotten from their contractor, US Marble who is doing the installs, I'd have GLADLY taken my business elsewhere. I have no intention of purchasing anything further from the store. Additionally, no one knew jack about the products, etc and the cashiers didn't know how to give the military discount (yeah I'm also active duty, surprise!) at check out. We decided to go to Lowe's for a special on their Samsung appliances that they were advertising. After waiting an hour in the appliance section we were helped by an associate.The sale turned out to only be for the appliances on the list. The sales associate and the manager could not find this "list". After the manager disappeared, I met up with my wife at the counter that she had been patiently waiting at. My patience was not so forgiving. After requesting that a manager come help us, the associate decided to freak out walk off. I floured her to the front trying to get a manager, The associated was cursing me with f this and f that. When I made it to the front, I could hear her being rough with stuff and screaming the 'f' word more. I was in the aisle where any customer could hear this. Finally a manager started helping us again. They gave us 10% off because they could;t figure out the special they were advertising over the appliances. This gave us a pretty good deal. Now everything is supposed to be in tomorrow and they called to tell us the refrigerator is on backorder and won't be available for another month. 2 months is a long time for appliances. I called the manager this morning (happened to be the same manager from the incident(Bobbie)) and she was useless. She also claimed to be the GM. She obviously needs help with customer support personnel staffing and managing in general. Good luck getting help at this store. There are very few helpful people that work at this place and the management is very very poor quality.The normal guy that sold us our W/D was awesome, but I think it was a fluke. As a matter of fact, I had one of their employees tell me that no one could use the cutting saw by the lumber. When I asked if a manager had the skills to operate it, I was told that they were female and probably couldn't operate it. Obviously that was concerning. Who talks like that these days. That day we waited for 30 min. for a manager and there was literally no one they could find. POOR POOR POOR Customer service on many fronts. Lesson learned...Home Depot it is! I do not believe Lowe's really cares if they get yet another scathing poor review because they simply are a necessary evil. Yet I am compelled to report that yet again they over promise and under deliver, so buyer beware! I am in the middle of a construction project and required a small free standing bath tub quickly. I looked high and low for one in stock at several suppliers. No luck. So I ordered one on line because Lowe's web site stated the tub would be available for pick up December 9th. On the 8th I called customer service and they reported to me that in fact the tub had shipped from the supplier and would be available the 11th. OK, a two day delay I could live with. On the 11 I called again - and if you are not paying attention I am doing all the follow up as I have heard nada, nothing from Lowe's - and was told the tub had been delivered to the distribution center in Denver on the 11th. Further, I was told that Lowe's had to pick up the tub, I could not, and bring it to the store. There they would put it on a truck for delivery and all this apparently would take another five (5) days. WTF?? Any of us would be fired for such bad work performance! Needless to say, I have now wasted ten (10) days trying to get a tub that advertised to be available almost a week ago! I arranged to pick up the tub myself from the store as I was told it would be there on the 14th. I of course tried following up again today and the response they were happy to give me was that I was "mis-informed". I insisted on speaking with a manager, Leo, and he told me he would personally call me back in 1/2 hour. It has now been 2 hours and no call from Leo. AND NO TUB!!! Here's another one star for the store that has the worst customer service ever. If 50% of your store's reviews are 1 stars, you would think Lowe's would try to improve things. Yesterday I asked a clerk seated in the cabinet section to help me with a custom order. He didn't know how but called two women to help. They arrived and while they never addressed me once, they spent 5 minutes or more arguing with the clerk as to why they couldn't help me. Some of the excuses were - I have client coming in 15 minutes and I'm new and don't know how. After 5 minutes standing there listening to why they couldn't work, I walked off and went over to doors where a nice employee Art helped me with Roxul insulation. I went to the customer service desk to ask for a manager to complain about the 2 women in the cabinet department and check out. I wait in one line and as soon as it is my turn the clerk goes to a different register. So I move to that line. I wait again and it's my turn and the clerk goes to another register. Rather than wait in a third line, I flag down a passing employee for a manager. Brian, who was acting as manager or assistant manager, went back with me to cabinets and asked one of the women to help me. She spends 3 minutes telling him why she can't. I then interrupted and said to Brian - Excuse me, see what I mean about not being willing to help? Brian had to stay with us demanding that the woman help me for me to get waited on. Incredible. After another 5 minutes he finally had to leave to help another customer and the woman was no longer willing to help. This store is also filthy. read more

It is easy to float in a big box store, never getting help, which is why they can be undesirable. It has been a while since we have been to this store and was really pleased just how friendly and helpful the staff was in asking did we need help. Their prices, stock, and cleanliness was duly noted, and the exit luncheon area smells like hotdogs in July but the staff was the deciding factor to return soon. read more

Ok, I'm not one to usually write reviews but this last experience has me enraged. First of all, my husband and I wanted a refrigerator which was on clearance so we knew we'd have to find a store that still had it in it's box (not a floor model). Our closest Lowe's (Parker, CO) is amazing- great selection, great employees, we've never had an issue with them. However, this store on Havana had the fridge and the Parker location's appliance department couldn't even reach ANYONE at the Havana location to do a visual check of our fridge in their store. Finally after about 20 minutes of them calling back again and again I decided to just drive up there. Upon arrival to their appliance section we saw no one. When we finally tracked down someone, they couldn't answer a single question about the refrigerator and told us the person who works in appliances was in a meeting and wouldn't be done for an hour...we waited. When we finally had someone who works in appliances help us, she rang us up wrong TWICE before insisting she finally had it correct. Well, she didn't. We had set up next day delivery and installation (since it stated on our particular fridge that it was eligible for next day delivery and installation even though they were telling us it'd be a week out) and we purchased it. On the day of delivery and installation, we called to get a window of time (that we weren't given at the time of purchase) and they informed us that our fridge wasn't even in the queue for delivery. I had taken the day off of work and insisted on it being delivered, luckily she complied. The delivery and installation men were extremely rude, messy, and didn't even know how to attach and turn on the water. I wasn't even given the opportunity to examine if there were any dents/scratches before he was trying to hurry me to sign the paperwork and get out of my house. I did however see some scratches/scuffs and asked how I document them. He just told me to clean it with stainless cleaner and the proper fabric with the grain, but he never addressed the scuffs/scratches with me. Lastly, he told me that the tape, protective wrappings and Styrofoam still has to be removed (by me) didn't give me the owner's manual/instructional booklet, and left all sorts of paper scraps, tape and Styrofoam ALL over my kitchen. I am VERY dissatisfied with this particular Lowe's. I talked with the manager and even though she was pleasant, she didn't really offer me anything just simply said, "Thank you for the feedback." I will definitely give Lowe's another chance but will NEVER return to this location. read more

Being the closest home improvement store to both work and home, I have shopped at this Lowe's at least 20 times in a variety of departments this past year. Not once has anyone offer to help me while I wandered the aisles. I spend more time looking for items or help than actually making purchases. After being ignored in plumbing and then in appliances, even after asking customer service to send someone to help me purchase a refrigerator, no one arrived. After over 15 minutes of waiting, I said enough. I then drove a few miles to Appliance Factory, purchased the same refrigerator for the same price and then I went to Home Depot where I immediately was offered help with selecting plumbing parts. I was back home in less than an hour with my mission accomplished. Driving a couple of miles for good service on the same/similar priced items is well worth it. Goodbye Lowe's. read more

I purchased 3 bags of bird seed from the Lowe's on Havana Street in Aurora on 10/24/13, brought them home, opened them and left them unattended indoors on a carpeted area for about 1/2 an hour and when I returned to them, tons of tiny pincher beetles and more white, small worms were crawling out of the bags and onto my floor. I immediately returned the seed to the store and received the worst customer service! The return clerk, through no fault of her own, was constantly answering the phone while she was working with me.....and there were at least 3 other employees just standing around within earshot of the phone ringing - maybe they could have helped?? The clerk and the manager both had flippant, "I could care less" attitudes about my bug-infested seed. Bottom line? Don't expect good service from Lowe's and do expect bugs to come crawling out of their bird seed. I will never go back there (I've had many disappointing experiences with their less-than-helpful staff and poor quality products) - lesson learned. Stay away from this Lowe's in particular!!! I have mixed feelings about this location. We received great customer service from the people within, however, the vendor from quick corner wasn't pleasant at all. He was rude with how he handled our food and then made snarky comments. When I called to make a complaint to lowes, the call service representative was amazing and the manager called back within a day to inquire about the incident. Unfortunately, I missed the call, but I spoke to another manager within the same day. He made an excuse for the vendor saying that it's hard to manage a vendor when they have 150 employees to manage, but he said he would bring it to the owners attention. All I really wanted was for the vendor to be notified and I think the manager should know that just because they aren't apart of the company, the vendors still are a small representation of their company. Just because they aren't apart of the company, doesn't give them a right to give rude service. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I went into the store on July 4th to buy a washer and dryer. They called on Monday July 6th the store called to schedule deliver for Thursday the 9th. I gave them very specific instructions to call my cell phone prior to delivery. Since the delivery is going to my rental and is currently vacant. I told the scheduler that I can be reached on my cell phone on Thursday and once I get the call I can meet the delivery guy within 10 minutes. On Thursday after waiting all day, I called the store to get a status of the delivery. I was told that their driver was already there and they had called and I did not answer my phone. When I asked what number they had called the number was completely wrong. They made no apologies whatsoever. I asked them how come they called the right number on Monday to schedule the delivery and they gave their delivery driver an incorrect number. How am I expected to be there when I never got the call? Somehow Nicole "the store manager" felt it was my fault. I explained I had scheduled the HVAC guy to make the gas connection later this evening. I asked them to please try and call their driver and have them come out right away, they refused. Now I have tenants moving in tomorrow with no washer and dryer. The soonest they will come out again is next Tuesday. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EXPERIENCED. read more
