I had the best experience EVER at Lowe's yesterday on Shoal Creek in Austin, TX. I was met by Thomas as soon as I entered. He helped me find a gas fire pit, he found a cart, he loaded it onto the cart and waited while I checked out. He and Greg helped me get a propane tank and then took the fire pit and tank to my car and loaded them for me. On a holiday, July 4, when folks may not be happy to be working, I was delighted to have such a wonderful customer experience. Thank you guys for making my day!! read more

I walked into this store yesterday and the day before looking to buy a new dish washer. Neither time did anyone in appliances check on us to see if we needed anything. Yesterday the cabinet guy stopped after we flagged him down and at least he was able to answer a few questions. After he left we still never got to speak with the appliance guy. We waited for him for 15 minutes and finally walked out. Walked into Best Buy and was out of there in 15 minutes with a brand new whirlpool dish washer and they sold it to us for $100 less than what Lowes had it for. I just canceled my Lowes credit card because it's useless since I'll never shop here again. read more

We needed a new staple gun to do repairs to our screened in porch and so i went online ordered one for curbside pick up. We were notified the next day the stapler was ready for pick up. We went to the store which was very very business based on all the cars in the parking lot. Parked in a curbside pick spot called in and our order was brought out immediately and put in our trunk. We are senior citizens and are not going into stores and are so very very grateful for Lowes offering curbside pick up !!!!!! What a disappointment. I came to Lowes to purchase a washer & dryer set on July 27. The associate in appliances was somewhat helpful, they entered the order for the units. However, I had to steer the purchase by requesting a stacking kit, delivery, and a 3-yr warranty. I was informed that it would take two weeks for delivery. No problem. The day before my delivery, I received a voicemail that stated the washer & dryer units were not being delivered and I would have to call appliances to speak with a representative to find out whether I needed to order a different unit or set up a new delivery. Ok, I get it. These are hectic and unpredictable times. So, I call the number provided. No answer. Call again later. No answer. Call the next day. No answer. Call again. Bounced between extensions but no answer in appliances. Seeing as I have now paid for a washer & dryer and my credit card statement is due, I decide to go back to Lowes to speak with someone in person to set up a new delivery date. I am directed back to appliances where I am informed that the person who sold the units no longer works for Lowes. Ok. I don't really see the point in telling me this, but fine, that associate doesn't work at Lowes anymore. So, what about the appliances I ordered and have now paid for? This is when I am told that there "are units" but they are designated for other customers. Again, no problem - just make sure my name is next on the list. The associate schedules a delivery for me on Aug 11 because they see that more units are coming in and mine will be on that truck. Great. August 11 arrives. Washer & Dryer do not. I call Lowes. No answer. I call again. No answer. I go back to the store because I was supposed to have a delivery. I am directed again to appliances where they look at the inventory and schedule me for Saturday. I am told now that an online customer who placed an order after me was given priority on the units that were delivered on the 11th. We schedule for the next incoming shipment and set a new delivery date of August 15. August 15 arrives. Washer & Dryer do not. I call Lowes. No answer. Instead of calling again I just go in. At this point I have moved my schedule around to wait for three deliveries that did not arrive. I head directly to appliances this time. The associate informs me that there are two separate ordering systems and that online orders get priority over in-store orders. He looks at the inventory and sees that there are available units at other locations nearby, but I would have to go home and request store-to-store on my own. I ask why he can't call the inventory from one store to another. He says that Lowes doesn't do store-to-store. He looks in the inventory for the distribution center and sees that there are units available. I ask if my order is one of those. He is not able to confirm. I was advised to go home and put in an online order to the SAME EXACT WASHER & DRYER I ALREADY PAID FOR because an online order would probably arrive faster than the in-store order I placed last month. This is absurd! Instead of ordering a second washer & dryer from Lowes to see which would arrive first I went to customer service and cancelled my purchase. I then went and ordered the same washer and dryer unit from Best Buy, for $300 less, and guess what....it was delivered on schedule. read more

This store is great... unless you need human interaction to accomplish something. Getting an employee to help out is next to impossible. Finding one with useful information is rare. I went in to buy a dishwasher at lunch time and there were no employees working in the entire appliance department. I shopped for some other items and 15 minutes later still no one there. read more

I stopped by this Lowe's on my way home to wanted to buy a stud finder, and after looking all over the store I stopped a employee to ask, but he didn't know and told me to ask these other employees that were approaching, so I walked up to them to ask where I can find one and his response was - I think its around aisle 13 or in that area, my response was are you sure? I didn't want to walk around searching - so his response to me was just look in that area you should find it - Now as a shopper who wants to buy something from this store WHY are they making it so hard to buy it ? Worst customer service experience ever!! I purchased a major appliance, turned out to be the wrong match to go with the washer I had previously purchased, this Lowe's was supposed to pick it up at no charge to process my return and refund considering I had already purchased the correct appliance that I needed through Lowes. You simply cannot get a person to answer phone calls and when they do answer no one follows up on the customer question or concern, zero accountability. Worst experience of my life trying to get an oven installed by Lowe's. They won't communicate with you or call if problems arise. Took WEEKS longer than it should have to get a new oven (10 weeks+). When we ordered an oven specifically because it was in stock, they didn't bother telling it us it wasn't actually in stock and had no estimate for when it would be available. They didn't even call us to let us know this delay (we called them after radio silence). It took an hour of being on hold and transfers to learn they had no intention of reaching out to their third party vendor to setup the install. In summary-- there aren't enough people working at Lowe's to give you the time of day or good service. If you need an appliance now, just pay more for an appliance company. Lowe's is in no hurry to help you. Would give zero stars if it were available. read more

I don't know why I continue to buy appliances at Lowes. They are always late when it comes to delivery, and although I was initially told by the Sales Associate that they would move the existing refrigerator to the garage so that I could give it to my handyman, the delivery team said that if they had to disassemble the refrigerator (which they knew they had to do), their "policy" prevented them from leaving it in my garage. When I asked them about the discrepancy and what difference it made to them, and noting the obvious fact that leaving it disassembled in the garage was easier for them than loading it in their truck and that I would assume the liability (if any), their unintelligent and patronizing response was the standard "it is Lowe's policy". I have now been waiting on a washer to be delivered for three weeks. I purchased it online, and received a prompt saying I would be called 24 before my delivery. A week later, I was called at 9am on a Monday and informed they were 30 minutes from my apartment. I fly out of work to meet them. I end up waiting the whole day: they never show up. So we schedule it for Wednesday instead. On Wednesday: no show. So that is now 2 full days of work (totaling the cost of the washer in my wages) I've missed because of the terrible customer service. I called to complain and was told I'd be called in a few days to schedule the delivery. Still no call. They did the same thing to me a month ago when I bought my dryer. I waited all day to be told it was never put on the truck, even though I was told by the representative he was watching them put it on the truck. I will never buy an appliance here again. read more

I was thrilled yesterday when I bought my expensive new fridge to replace one that had died. It is very difficult not to have a fridge when we are in the stay at home order for COVID-19. We came into the store with all of our appliances picked out and just needed to buy them and schedule delivery. It took over an hour and then on the delivery day the stove never came. No one from the appliance department called and told us why. We had to call over 20 times before we got someone to actually answer the phone in the appliance department. It's insane! We have to wait an entire extra week for them to ship a new stove since the other one went missing. read more

I'm very loyal to Home Depot, but I went back to Lowe's recently, and I was impressed by their selection of outlet and switchplate covers. They have a wider variety of appealing designs than Home Depot does. Their electricians tools were priced well and seem good so far. Additionally, an employee was very helpful in my search for good baseboards. She had some good advice and helped me sort through their selection, which I thought was better than Home Depot's. I think what it might come down to is the target market for each store--Lowes is better on cosmetic things that regular homeowners can probably install; Depot is better on the heavy duty projects. read more

By far the worst customer service! I recently order a range and fridge, got an email saying they were both in. I live about an hour away so I called the store just to make sure, the man who answered the phone confirmed they were both in, I even had him DOUBLE check! I go to pick my appliances up 2 days after I call, went back to appliances to let them know I was there to pick them up, the man working that day went to the back to find them and I was left sitting there for AT LEAST 30 MINS!!! He comes back and SURPRISE.... They couldn't find my fridge. So about 3 days later I call again, no one would answer in appliances so my call was pushed back to the main line 5 freaking times people! So finally someone answered the phone, he was very helpful, the only helpful one through this entire process. He took the time to go back to physically look for the fridge and get this... He said he had no idea why they couldn't find it when I was here last time because it had been sitting in the pickup bay since it got there, which was when I got my email. So I tell him I will come get it tomorrow (which is today) and he suggested that I call ahead and have someone bring it up front so I will not have to wait longer than I have to when I come to get it. Here we are today... I am just leaving the house so I call, rang through to appliances and was put on hold for 10 F'ing minutes, then I hang up to call back and someone answered right away without asking me to be put on hold. Like wtf? So I tell him I am just calling to have my fridge brought to the front because I am on my way to pick it up. He tells me he is too busy because he is the only one working in appliances today and doesn't have time and he has never heard of someone wanting a fridge brought to the front of the store... HA.HA. That's funny because I believe it was your co-worker that suggested I do that. Then he offers to transfer me back to customer service to see if someone else is free to do it. Ok. A young lady answered "Lowe's customer service how may I direct your call?" I explained to her what was going on and asked if she could find someone free to bring my fridge to the front, she asked me to hold for a moment after I explained... Then, haha, get this, she picks the line back up "Lowe's customer service how may I direct your call?" Holy shit! I almost lost it, I had to hang up before I lost my cool. Thankfully my mom was with me and called back because I would've walked into this store and raised hell. P.s. This is the first review I have ever written. It's a shame it had to be a bad one. The last time I went, it was during the last hour before they closed. I've worked retail and hate people who stroll in 5 minutes before we're about to lock the doors, so I planned to be in and out as quickly as possible. Thing is, they'd already shut one pair of the front entrance doors and blockaded them off with carts. I walked to the other entrance, walked in and grabbed my garden stuff, only to find they had closed the garden center gates as well and there wasn't a single employee in there. What is the deal with this place? I can't put my finger on it, but it seems to be really unhappy employees. I was looking for a specific drill bit, and I asked the woman in the Lowes vest standing in the drill bit department, and she said, "Oh, I don't know, I don't work here." My smartass response was, "Oh! I guess it was the Lowes vest and name tag that threw me off..." I guess she meant she didn't work THERE, in that department, but still. I've called the store manager a couple of times - no voice mail and never answers. I've emailed him to the address given to me by his team, it's a bad address... Having been a devotee of Lowe's for many years it pains me to write this, but I must. I walked into the store a couple of days ago. A salesman was going to show me where the item I was looking for was stored. On the way there, we passed clearance appliances, I glanced at a Samsung Washer. I'm attaching the image for everyone to make their own decision. Half will agree with me, half won't but that's not even the point, it's how it was handled. I saw the original price was $899. It was then marked to $720, then $450. There was a note that said "50% off" with an arrow pointing to the $450. I thought, wow, that's great, it's only $225. I'll take it! The salesman confirmed that this was the price. I asked if I could get an extended warranty or something. He walked us over to the main person in the department, who followed us over to the machine. "It's not $450 minus 50%, but I can see how some people would think that". Really? I told him, the arrow should be pointing to the original price of $899 with the note of "50% off" OR add the word "Now" so it's clear the price now is $450. Anyway, the salesman right in front of me grabbed a black marker and started scratching off the note, thereby acknowledging even further that it was deceptive etc. Now, I was getting annoyed. Instead of saying "can I help you find a washer" he kept repeating "If it was $225, trust me, I wouldn't sell it to you, I'd buy it myself". Seriously? So I now was annoyed and said "why don't you sell it to me for the $225 and call it a day then". He again repeated he would buy it for that price. Anyway, it was a strange encounter. I've spent tens of thousands at Lowe's, and to be treated like that was just surreal. The original salesman thought it was $225, the new salesman acknowledged that he could see why people would think that and markered off the offending text on every machine there. And then the manager, who I can understand is busy cannot be reached. Wow. That's all I can say. I thought Lowe's was the best at customer service, but this left me really disappointed. Luckily I have the original photo of the tag, and yes it's a linguistic issue, but when your own people don't understand it, and then use a marker to black it out.... that tells me I wasn't too far off the mark. read more

Just had the absolute WORST experience at this Lowe's. Simply tried to purchase a gift card for a Christmas gift. The associate didn't know what they were doing and completely mutilated the card, including scratching off the code on the back. We immediately went to the customer service desk and asked for a new one. They refused because the code had already been scratched! The "manager" was completely unhelpful when all we wanted was a card that didn't look like it was dug out of the bottom of a drawer or had been previously used. We told them we would be canceling the purchase with our credit card company if they wouldn't help and they didn't care at all. I have never been mad enough to write a review before, but Lowe's made me angry enough today to do so. Yesterday I ordered an item online, paid for it with a credit card, and received a receipt from Lowe's saying I could pick it up anytime after 7pm. Made a special trip up to Lowe's in north Austin only to be told that they don't have that item and cannot get it from any other Lowe's. So why was I allowed to order and pay for an item that isn't even available?!!!!!!!!!!! Similar thing happened with Home Depot several months ago. Guess they both use the same lousy software. I AM DONE WITH THE BIG BOX HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES!!! I will never again be seduced by their low or special prices, because it is usually a lie. I purchased a chainsaw "poulan pro" literally a couple days past the one month mark. It developed a crack in the chain cover and I brought it to this store hoping for just a new cover. The return desk personnel first tried to convince me it was still safe, then gave me every reason in the book why they couldn't help me and told me I was basically stuck with it. I ended up taking it the store off 620 and 183 and received an immediate refund, no questions asked. As far as I'm concerned a store is only as good as they way it addresses a customers concerns. Very uncooperative, and not helpful at all. My family owns a bunch of properties and we use Lowes and Home Depot for all our repairs. Well, we had ordered a backsplash for one of our duplexes. The installers put in the WRONG tile backsplash and claims it was our fault for not saying the correct tile. Why in the world would we have grey floors and brown tile? They don't even match. So after they installed it, they claimed we were the ones who told them that was what we wanted. Absolutely not. We tried getting this corrected, as it looks terrible in the duplex. We've called, we have gone in, and we have repeatedly asked for them to change the tile to what we requested. Nothing. Kia made us wait 45mins at the store, then told us there was nothing they could do. This is Lowes mistake and should be corrected, as they were the ones who wrote down the wrong tile color. We won't be using Lowes EVER again, as our experience was awful, and they don't correct their mistakes. Shame on you Lowes for your poor quality service and customer skills. read more

Don't go here to buy firewood - EVER! They do not permanently house their firewood stock under a canopy. It is always wet/damp and worthless! Waste of time and money. This is specifically a review of the Lowe's in Bee Cave. Early last year I bought a new dishwasher as I have always bought appliances from Lowe's (although never this location) and had a problem with it the first week. It took three calls to get someone helpful on the phone, another 10 minutes to establish that the thing was covered by their 30 day warranty, only to be told to call another place to arrange for the repair. The repair guy was fabulous! He was also with a contracted repair company through Sears. It sure was a pain to get assistance, though. As I mentioned, I've always bought my appliances through Lowe's and most of 2014 went by and my washer and dryer went out (well, the dryer had been going out for some time but then the washer died...). Hoping I'd had an off day earlier in the spring I bought them from Lowe's as they had the model I wanted on super sale. The sales lady was great and they delivered the next day. A few weeks later the buttons on one side quit working. Not knowing exactly how to handle this I called Lowe's (logical, right?) only to be told by an EXTREMELY rude woman that as it was more than 30 days, "we don't fix it". No assistance. No suggestions. So I asked who I should call and she huffed and said, "The company that made it. Do you have Internet at home? You can look them up." Yes. Really. Turns out the customer service guy (which I did find on the Internet) from Samsung was extremely concerned about getting it fixed. And although he barely spoke English and I'm pretty sure he was reading from a card his customer service was about 9000 times better than either of my experiences from Lowe's. But it took 15 minutes to get an appointment scheduled at a time convenient for me and 10 minutes to fix the thing when the repair guy arrived. Then I got a back-up call from Samsung to make sure it had been fixed and to make sure the repair service took good care of me. I will never shop at the Bee Cave Lowe's although it is pretty close to my house and until now I have always been a loyal Lowe's appliance buyer. Never again, that's for certain. The only reason I gave even one star is because the sales people were great both times. They really need to work on their follow-up service and should probably have people who actually give a darn about customer service answering the phone. read more

If I could go zero stars I would!! I've tried to like this Lowes Location. Ive been here many times and each time the service gets worse and worse!!! This last time I even asked for the manager so I could share my thoughts on what is going on and they took so long to get out to see me, I had to leave!! OMG! This store has suffered from very poor management for some time. I always get the impression there is zero incentive for the staff/management to help customers. Or there is incentive to not help and avoid customers? One or the other. My wife and I were ready to spend over $600 on a new sink and other accessories and had to pull teeth to get any help. A maintenance man helped us and was basically doing the work of several conspicuously absent workers. I'd go elsewhere. Overall, this store doesn't seem interested in much of anything retail related. On 7/23 I purchase a dishwasher from a very professional salesman, Edward Gonzalez! He was incredible. He explains the delivery scheduling process and advises the company "Rickman Services" will contact me. Several days later they do and I reluctantly take a half day off, today, 8/02 in the morning for my delivery between 8-12n. At 9am I call ' Rickman services' and the tell me everything is fine and the delivery man will call me 30 minutes before the arrive. They never arrive. I call them back and they tell me someone spoke to Megan in inside sales and she told them they do not have a dishwasher for me and Megan was to call me. After my head explodes and I wait a few minutes and call and ask for Megan's boss, and of course, after being transferred all over, I tell my story to Trey and continue to ask why such poor service, why did no one call me, he mentions 'The heat' and he will call me back, he promises. The Megan calls me, says she is sorry, she never spoke to anyone and MAYBE, they would get another tomorrow and when can I be home to wait again? I told her to cancel my sale. Trey did call me back an hour later to tell me he was leaving the store at that time to go home. convenient for him. So if you want to have fun in Hell,too, go buy appliances at Lowes! read more

Worst experience I have ever had. Bought a gas dryer Nov 27. After 4 attempts at installation, it was finally completed Jan 18. The first time, the installer called me saying that he was on his way. I said, well I don't have the dryer, are you bringing it? It said "No, this always happens with Lowe's". The second attempt, the dryer was delivered and "stacked" above my washer, but the install had not been arranged, although I was told that it had been. I waited all day and the installer never showed because I later learned it was never scheduled. The third attempt, I was told the installers were coming between 12-6 pm. Again, I waited all afternoon and nobody showed. I called Lowe's and was told by Bobby, that he had cancelled it because the dryer needed to be stacked above the washer. I told him that already happened the week before. He said that delivery never told him that, so he cancelled my scheduled delivery. However, he never bothered to call me to let me know that the install was cancelled. I actually took it upon myself to call Ramco, their installers, and asked when they could come. I was told, "Oh, we are coming today. Didn't anyone from Lowe's tell you?" No, they hadn't. I called the Customer Care center to complain and they took down my story. They promised that the manager from the store at 8000 Shoal Creek in Austin would call me within 24 hours. He has never called. I would NEVER buy an appliance from Lowe's again. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The operators at Lowe's were very nice and we got to know each other very well. They would walk notes back and put them in the desks of Bobby and Natasha to call me. But neither ever calls. read more
