I have never seen this kind of customer service! They are disrespectful. Our landlord bought a refrigerator from this store, if I were them, I would have never ever bought anything from this store, because I have seen the ratings, and almost every review is a complaint of this disgraceful customer service. The refrigerator was a replacement for a faulty fridge. The old fridge should have been taken out of the house around 2/3 weeks ago, yet they repeatedly gave us appointments for the fridge to be taken out, yet nobody came. Now, the old fridge has no place to be, and is now in the middle of our dining room. All in all, a disgraceful store, with horrible customer service. Shameful. read more

I wouldn't even give them a whole star! Less than half of a star if I could. I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again!! I'd paid for a detail and was told I'd be contacted within two days. Four days later no one has contacted me and I've not been able to get an employee on the phone to address the issue. When some FINALLY answers the phone I'm transferred and no one answers the phone in that department. I've attempted to speak with someone several times and have yet to speak to anyone. Their customer service sucks sorry and they don't do what they say they will when they say they will. Unlike my experiences at Home Depot, this has been extremely frustrating and I'll not shop there again. I'm going back to have my deposit returned. read more

If I could give a negative star, I would. Last week I purchased a gas grill to have assembled. It was ready on Thursday and today, Friday I went to pick it up. So, how long does it take to pick up a grill that has already been paid for and assembled? All I needed to do was pick it up. Let's try an 1 hour. I waited at customer service. I must say the ladies were very pleasant and professional so I'm going to to blame the issue on poor management. There were 2 ladies working customer service with a line of folks. Someone even came over to Customer Service from self service, stating there were problems there. The man behind me commented - "this is ridiculous, this would never happen in Columbia or Timonium stores". The kicker is that I had rented a truck for 75 minutes from Home Depot, to pick up the grill. The stores are 1 mile apart, unfortunately this Lowe's doesn't rent trucks. The reason I say I blame management is that customer service had to call two people before someone was able to get my grill. Where was the staff. I purchased my gas grill with a gift card, otherwise I would have gotten a refund and went to Home Depot to buy it. The short of the story is because I waited so long in line I had to leave the grill since I used up 65 minutes and had 10 minutes to get the truck back to Home Depot and pay for the rental .... and NO GRILL. I won't get that wasted 75 minutes of time back and I won't be cooking on the grill tomorrow. I will not shop Lowe's. The WORST!!!! If I ever get this grill home I won't be shopping here anymore! Terrible. Horrible Customer service. Ordered a Refrigerator online that was supposed to be delivered between 11-1pm. I was told I would receive a phone call 30 minutes before to let me know they were on their way. At 130 pm, no phone call, no delivery. I called the delivery company who took over 30 minutes to call me back on their system. Was then told I needed to phone Loews directly to find out why I did not receive my refrigerator. Called Loews Customer Care, waited another 10 minutes only to find out that there was a note in the computer that was unclear but stated my order had been cancelled. Customer rep had me wait while she repeatedly attempted to reach the local store directly for more clarification. After a long hold she stated that she was only able to get the automated prompts and no live person was able to answer the phone. I asked for the local store information, discovered it was Catonsville. I was able to speak to a Manager, who did inform me that my order was cancelled this MORNING! No one called me to inform me of this. Although, I did receive a confirmation text last night and 2 confirmation phone calls regarding my delivery for today. I was told that the my refrigerator was on back order and that prevented the store from printing a ticket so there could be no delivery. Well my response was, what about a phone call to let me, the customer know as opposed to sitting around and waiting, taking time off work for a non-existent delivery. Was told Xavier, the back-end manager was responsible for not calling to cancel and he would be spoken too. Well Xavier, you really messed up my day. After this purchase I'll make certain NOT to get any more deliveries from this store. I do thank John, the Asst. Manager for explaining what happened and rescheduling the next delivery. read more

Lowe's delivered great customer service when I bought a washer! Had the model I wanted, delivered it the next day and installed it in 20 minutes, after hauling away the old machine. Stunning contrast to the lack of service and total indifference I had experienced with another store, big box and well known. Bravo for Lowe's!! read more

My husband and I ordered a new washer, dryer and refrigerator from the Lowe's in Catonsville over three weeks ago. Our experience thus far has been a total nightmare. First, we tried to check out with the guy who took our order. He said his computer wasn't working and we'd have to go to a cashier in the front of the store. This new cashier was no more than 16 yrs old, poor thing had no idea what she was doing and had no help from anyone. Another employee finally came over and told us we'd need to go back to the guy we placed our order with. Cool. We go back to find the original guy and he's no where to be found, so some other lady sends us to the customer service desk. Finally, we get checked out and leave. Fast forward a week later, it's washer/dryer delivery day! The dryer gets hooked up and works fine, but the washer is broken and needs to be sent back. A new washer is delivered several days later, also broken. Several days later, a THIRD washer is delivered but doesn't even make it into our house because the exterior is damaged. Keep in mind this is three times in a row now that my husband needed to take off work to meet the delivery truck. We've been to Lowe's three times in person to complain and have been met with total incompetence, rudeness, and dare I say, stupidity. Today, we expected the delivery of our new washer - or fridge - I'm honestly not sure which to expect at this point. We haven't received any phone calls from the delivery company or Lowe's. At this point, we're literally at the mercy of these assholes while they hold our $3,000 hostage. We're tempted to just cancel our orders altogether but fear we won't see our refund for months. I rarely write reviews that are negative unless the experience was truly aweful. My saga started in November when I ordered a GE upright freezer on sale. First, the model that was advertised was no longer made and they had to reorder the freezer (a week later). The freezer now would not be delivered for 4 weeks (not good). The freezer that arrived was damaged adn they waited until the day of delivery to tell me. They reordered another freezer...two weeks wait again. Then they come to deliver it and break the hinge on the unit at my home. The delivery person tells me to keep the unit until a new one is ordered. Lowes has ordered 4 more freezers all have arrived damaged and I have not been notified of this until the day of or in two cases after the delivery window (with me waiting at my house for the delivery). Now I have a broken new freezer and the manager told me they will not re-order the freezer. So basically they are leaving me high and dry. I have written corparat twice with no help and the store management is not willing to make it correct. I have called GE to get them involved. STAY AWAY FROM LOWES AND EXPECIALLY THIS STORE. read more

The Lowes located in Catonsville on Baltimore National Pike,Maryland has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I moved from the Towson area closer to the Catonsville Lowes and will travel back to Towson because I despise dealing with the unprofessional mannerism of the associates. For example, I purchased an appliance last night and was told someone would call me today to schedule delivery window of time for tomorrow. I called and receive the MOST unprofessional young lady at the customer service desk who told me to call back when the store opens in the morning and maybe they can assist you. Maybe? So I should not go to church or leave my house on Sunday because no one can help me? I called back and the same unprofessional associate in "customer service"placed me on hold for 12 minutes. I called back and she came on the line asking a questions, evidently she picked up the wrong line and instead of helping me or saying hold on she hangs up on me. I called back and asked for the manager, and she placed me on hold again until the line hung up. Why should I go through all of this after spending over $1400.00 on an appliance? All I want to know is a window of time they will deliver. Unacceptable!!! I am so disappointed and disgusted with Lowes Catonsville. Towson Lowes will always be my destination and recommendation to others. read more
