I've never experienced more insulting customer service than I have at this Lowes today. It's not my normal store and I would never experience anything like this at my normal Lowes. But I'm a credit card holder and gold member And had to place an order to be delivered two days ago as the same day delivery. After the status being stuck in processing your order, I called the store to check on what was happening. The lady asked me to hold and I waited 40 minutes before the call was dropped. And that's the good part of the review. Afterwards, I called corporate Lowe's one, 800 customer service number and spoke to a very nice gentleman named John. After waiting a little bit for him to make several calls, he explained to me that apparently the status order was never changed for them to contact their delivery team to reach out and get someone to pick the item up to deliver to my house. But he said he talked to a manager at Lowe's and they would contact me before the end of the day to let me know what's going on with the status and gave me a case number. When I didn't hear anything this Sunday, I called about 30 minutes before the store closed. The woman with beyond sarcastic with beyond rude, kept telling me to lower my tone and even on top of that kept calling me, sir. I tried to explain to her that the guy named John at Corporate gave me a number and told me what was going on. She kept telling me I didn't tip enough and that a driver hasn't picked anything up because of it. Which is totally bogus because I've used the service before and there is no way to tip on the Lowes app. After she kept being rude and talking all over me, and claiming that I was being allowed and the one Doing so she refused to let me speak to a manager. Even after requesting it. Then for a Third time she called me and I said you know I would really like to get your name and she hung up on me. I tried calling back but no answer. I don't know who the general manager is at this Lowes but he or she needs to be fired. Went back up to the Bartlett Lowe's within a week of the purchase, with the paint can showing the custom color sticker that clearly shows paint codes barcode and paint stats to buy another gallon. The paint desk stated that "the new system no longer allows them to create copy's of their OWN custom paints." By far the worst Lowe's location I've ever had to deal with. Unfortunately, they are also the closest to me. I have placed in-store pickup orders online six times in the last few years. Guess how many of them have been canceled... Every. Single. One. Each time it has been for the same reason - item not in stock despite being listed on their site as available at the location. Other times I have gone to the store to grab a substitute for something they showed out of stock only to see two dozen of the "out of stock" items on the shelves. I understand that accounting for stock and displaying it online can be a challenge, but I've never seen a store get it wrong so consistently. On a couple of occasions, I've tried to call and ask employees to verify something is in stock before ordering or heading to the store. I've never been successful with this though - either you can't get someone on the phone or they can't verify it for one reason or another. The only reason I give it two stars instead of one is because some of the employees are nice and do actually try. And prices are usually good when you can actually get what you are looking for! TL;DR version- good prices, but don't trust anything to be in stock regardless what you see online. read more

The wood cutting machines are always "out of order" and I've had the lumber employees tell me the machines are fully working but they're discouraged from using them because of "liability" issues. So therefore the regular shoppers can't even get the lumber home because of size restraints in most vehicles. Asked someone to help me lift cement board once (I'm a short female and the piece was very large for me to handle) and I got laughed at by the employees. No one actually working the cash registers anymore either. This location on 64 is terrible. Even more so than the Germantown location. read more

This place is in sad shape. I went in for an appliance at 1:30PM. I was told by an associate that the item was in stock but I should order online and and pick it up. So I did. And I waited around for 7 HOURS until they determined that it wasn't even in stock. During that time, I was ignored by several employees on the sales floor and even hung up on twice when I called in. This place is a complete mess. Look at the photos. They are of the customer service area and are the first thing you see when you walk in. This whole store is an unorganized train wreck of upper mismanagement and overworked employees. I spoke with one who was on her 12th hour of her shift and at her breaking point. Everyone I talked to was unsure of where anything was. Even the appliances on display are out of date and no longer available even though they're market as "clearance". I do like to browse the aisles like I'm at Walmart lol even when I know I only need one thing like air filters. Getting help is like pulling teeth, I find it difficult to find an associate that can help me or when I do find an associate they have no clue where an item is located and tells me "oh that's in the garden center" umm sir no it is not, I'm looking for brackets to place on a staircase to hold the rail up! I can't even list the difficulties I had simply trying to purchase a Dishwasher from Knoxville where I live to be delivered to a Lowes customer that lives in Bartlett. Dealing with the Customer Service at Lowes Bartlett was an absolute NIGHTMARE. It ranged from being told that my credit card was denied twice (which according to the Credit Card department at my bank was not true) to Lowes finely approving the purchase ONLY to find out two days later when I called to ask a question that the purchase had been cancelled. I had no idea. I then spent hours trying to get through to anybody in Cust Service to try to get the store manager, Rudy. At one point I was literally on hold for 1 hour. FINALLY Rudy just happened to answer the phone and he explained that I should have called the East Knoxville store where I live to place the order. FUNNY THING the East Knoxville store told me I had to go through the East Bartlett store. That's why I called the East Bartlett store to begin with. I ordered a tool box Dec 30th, online it said it would be assembled and ready pickup three days later on a Tuesday. When I got there to the store no one could tell me where my tool box was, only the top part that didn't need assembly. The customer service associates didn't even know who to contact or ask about who assembles or when they came in etc. The store managers and assistant managers lied to me twice. Both said they'd get someone on it, never did... after three weeks I had enough and had to get ugly. Within two days I had my toolbox. Don't get anything assembled expecting a real date from Lowe's. Back in my hometown, I have multiple good friends who work for Lowe's; therefore, I have been partial to Lowe's vs Home Depot. I have been to this Lowe's multiple times and each time the customer service has been extremely lacking. My last visit was the last straw. I asked a simple question, which was where could I find an item that was published in their ad. The answer I got was " it is somewhere in the back right of the store. " Not to mention the other times I have been there and asked for help only to receive stares of incompetence. I have called the store to see if an item I ordered had come in, and I was on hold for over 90 minutes on my third phone call. I even drove to the store while I was still on hold and showed them how long I had been waiting. The manager could care less about my complaint. Shame on me for coming back to this store. Home Depot has offered me much better customer service. Never again will I set foot in their store. read more

This Lowe's location lacks quality management. Retuning an item at the one open register (there are four registers available) will steal about 15-20 minutes of your life, much more if there's more than two people ahead of you. I venture into this Lowe's location quite often and I am constantly greeted with out of stock items....especially residential electrical items such as bulk packaging duplex receptacles, single pole switches, 3-pack GFCI receptacles. The "Electrical" aisle where the switches, receptacles, cover plates, new/old work junction boxes are located perennially looks like a tornado came through. Mismatched items, items showing in stock but unable to locate, etc. remind the customer why ordering the same item(s) online from the really, really big compAny is More Appealing and amaZing OfteN. Bartlett Lowe's, c'mon...you guys were phenomenal when this store first opened and for many years afterwards. Let's get back to greatness! read more

While this Lowes gets a bad reputation, I've personally experienced the opposite of this reputation as I've been over a dozen times while working on a bathroom project this week. The staff here is truly helpful, even if they are overwhelmed at times with volume. I want to specifically mention John in plumbing. While I have a fair bit of remodel experience, plumbing is not my forte. John has been able to not only provide help about where parts are located in the store, he's been able to answer multiple questions I've had about how to do certain things. A "normal" employee might have knowledge about their section of the store, but John's knowledge surpasses that. He has been immensely helpful to me on multiple occasions. I'd love to see management recognize him for his diligent care with each customer. read more

Very frustrated. Me and my mother Selina went into this lowes on the recommendation of the guy we chose to do the work.We went back and spoke with Brittany about replacing 2 bathroom vanities (Cabinets,Countertops,Faucets,And Lights). We showed her what we liked and didn't like and she made up a list of everything we needed. We then gave the list to our installer. He went and ordered everything on the list and got a call the next day saying our order was ready. We got excited, however when he went to pick it all up he found out they didn't have it all. Large vanity and countertop had to be ordered and the 2 faucets they didn't have and wouldn't getting anymore in. So installer spent an entire day driving around from lowes to lowes and finally got both faucets from other locations (yes, he is awesome). So now, days later, we are still waiting but been told by different people we are missing different items and nobody seems to have any idea of when any of it will be in. What In The World??? Waited over an hour to be helped in the grill section even after stoping multiple employees and being told they would be right back. Granted it's Memorial Day and busy so we were kind and waited patiently. Finally got someone to help and was told it would take 15 minutes to get the grill down because they were all on the top shelf. 30-40 minutes later we finally got it. The box had a hole in it but we were hoping it was just from the forklift but when we got home the grill had a huge dent like it was dropped or something when they were taking it down. We came back to switch it out and the man at customer service was very unfriendly this time almost like he thought it was us who damaged it and mumbled under his breath as he was walking away. We ended up just returning the grill and going to the other one down the road which was much better. read more

Update: Added additional stars because the manager fixed everything. It was still very inconvenient, but they took care of things in the end and rebuilt my trust that the rest of the process would be seamless. It took me 1hr and 30 minutes to be seen by an associate to purchase my appliances. I knew what I wanted, yet it took them 1 hour to enter the info in the system. She then sent me up front to pay, where it took another 1 hour because the system crashed and they had to call IT. Then, my dishwasher install was cancelled without my permission the day of the install. Which meant another call then trip to Lowe's where I spent another 1 hour waiting on them to fix things. If any of the staff was friendly, maybe I could give them a couple of stars.. but only the initial saleswoman was friendly. How I wish Sears appliance never went out of business. read more
