Lowes is not for the elderly. Apparently, Lowes in Boynton Beach Fl. Carry's many different products, but unfortunately "Service" is not one of them. The experience I just received form "Five" of their employees should not happen to anyone, let me explain. I needed two pieces of wood which I located with ease. However, these pieces were each 8 feet long and would not fit in my car. I needed them cut to a length of 4 feet each so they would fit. Here is where the problem starts. I first spent 5 minutes in the lumber dept. looking for someone to cut these in half, when I finally found a Lowes worker, I ask if she knew how I could get them cut, "I don't work in this dept." was the only answer and she kept walking. At the time, there was no one in the lumber dept. so I looked around for help. I saw another worker who just said "try up front" so I went up front. The first Lowes up front worker did not even stop when I asked for help, but I assumed he did not hear me (at least I hope that was the case). I then went to a cashier and asked if she could get someone in lumber to cut these 2 pieces. "I don't know, see that cashier over there" was the answer as she pointed to another cashier. The other cashier said, "if I could not find someone in lumber, I would have to cut them myself at the cutting station". I explained that I was 75 years old, have a totally torn tendon (pointing to my left Shoulder), and a torn Rotator Cuff, and was not able to use a hand saw. Showing little concern, she said "see if there is someone near lumber that can help you". I left! read more

Bought a new dishwasher . Had a problem and Frigidaire doesn't have a lot of people repairing and two months later still was repaired. Although Lowe's has a thirty day return on appliances, the manager TJ went out of his way to help us out and take care of everything l. We actually renovated an entire condo with Lowe's and everyone was great. TJ especially and the girl in the kitchen cabinet dept. I felt compelled to write this because I saw so many bad reviews and that's something I never experienced. read more

After doing some research, Lowe's seemed to be the place to go to have a peice of glass cut for a kitchen cabinet door. And according to the website, the glass cutting is free with your purchase of the glass, which is extremely affordable. But I was told by the employee in that department, that the glass he had was too thin for my cabinet door and that I needed to go to a glass shop. He didn't offer any alternatives and it looks online as though there are many types of glass to choose from. I may be wrong, but it seemed like he didn't want to be bothered and sent me elsewhere. And if he was being honest, lowes shouldn't advertise "free glass cutting for windows and cabinet doors" if the only glass available is too thin to be used. Now I have to go spend a fortune to get this done at glass shop, not to mention another errand and more time spent trying to get something so simple done. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service EVER!!! I ordered new appliances in SEPTEMBER 2020! When it was delivered, the freezer door was damaged. They advised for me to keep it until a new one can be delivered as there was a backlog of orders. I said fine and asked more or less when did they think I would get the new fridge, they advised that it would probably be late November, early December. Ok, no problem. I can live with that. Well...here we are in APRIL and still no fridge! I have called more times than I can count and each time, either the phone rings, and no answer, or I get placed on hold then hung up on. Just had the most amazing experience with Rob in "window treatments". He indicated he was new to the department and didn't know some of the answers. However, he put me on hold for a short time and came back with just the info I needed. Then, when it was time to place the order he said he would do all the calcs and call me back...which he did (integrity)! Then to complete my order (yes, I had a complicated order), he needed to get additional support. He indicated John would call me back within 15 minutes...and he did. All good and my order is placed...exactly as requested. If Rob and John are an indication of the customer experience at the Boynton Beach Lowe's, I give them 5 stars and a thumbs up! read more

I bought a cheap BBQ. The BBQ is NOT the issue, it was the customer service when I went to go pick up the item. It seems they did not put my name on the receipt, even though I gave the clerk my name and address. Why did I have to give it if she never put it on the receipt? So, I had to wait for their security dept to check back on the previous day's video to ensure it was me that was picking up MY OWN merchandise. I had to pick it up at a later time since I needed someone to put it in the car and transport it to the house for me, so it was a buy now and pick up later sort of thing. I contacted their corporate office and they had someone get back to me about this horrendous customer service. After 10 years of loyal service, I am done. I will now shop at Home Depot, Ace, Walmart, anywhere but here since they made me feel as if I were ripping them off. read more

This is a complaint about the Service Contracts that Lowes sells for their washing machines. We purchased a four year maintenance agreement for our new washing machine, last month three months before it expired we had a problem with our machine, we called for service and Lowes sent out a company called Masco Appliance Repair in Ft Lauderdale. It took a week for them to come out to the house, the guy was driving his own pickup truck and the only tools he had was in a bag, he carried no replacement parts, it then took 2 weeks for the part to arrive, that's 3 weeks with no washing machine, I don't know why a large company like Lowes contracts out with such a fly by night repair company, I will never purchase a contract again for repair. read more

I came here at the suggestion of a neighbor who told me they bought their recycling bin carrier at Lowe's. After speaking to 3 different Lowe's staff and NOBODY willing and able to help me locate or find the item SKU number I needed to order on the Lowe's website, I've decided to order the item on Amazon. I ordered a new KitchenAid oven and microwave in early October. The sales person told me both would be in around 2 weeks. Well, they never came in until 11/30/19. When installer came he determined the microwave did not have all parts. Called appliances to see what the issue was, no answer several times. Tried the manager Judith, but she never came to phone. After calling Mooresville, NC they checked with KitchenAid and said the store should have had all the parts. Whirlpool started sending me parts that were not needed. I wrote to CEO to no avail. This is the worst store I have ever patronized. Shop elsewhere. They all don't have a clue and could care less how much $$$ you spend. read more

Had a garage door spring break on me. I called this store to see if they had the size I needed in stock. I wasn't sure what department to call so I went for the operator, after being on hold for four minutes a woman came on and asked who I was holding for. Another four minute and it rang twice and hung up. I called back and went to the operator and I said "I'm sorry we got disconnected and I called back" her response was "I know you called, that's why I answered the phone, the garage door guy is busy with someone". Five minutes later l was hung up on again. I called and asked for a manager, several minutes on hold and a guy picks up, I asked if he was the manger and his response was "who is this!" then says oh, wrong line and puts me on hold again and moment later another hang up. I have called several times and asked for management each time I know get put right on hold and hung up on after a few minutes. Time to call corporate!!! read more

We pay up front a 6,000 watts generator ($799 US DOLLARS), and when we came back they wanted us to take the display one. It was a really bad experience, because, our family members travel all the way from Homestead and it was supposed to be ship from FL to PR, so without the box we couldn't sent it. I don't recommend this location, also one of the employees was really rude and didn't understand us. However customer service was great and they try their best to help us, specially Bobby. We ordered items for "contactless pick up" and in 3 attempts in 3 weeks, we spent roughly 1 hour in the store for each attempt and nobody was able to locate our products. We called before wasting a trip again and was put on hold for 1.5 hours while we bounced from person to person. We spoke to a manager named Elanor who stated she would call us back after she resolved the issue and never did. Lowe's corporate customer service seems to not care either, I waited on hold for almost an hour then they took my information and that was it. I am giving this trip 2 stars only because the three associates that helped me after my initial experience were very nice and accommodating. We went to Lowes to purchase a washing machine as ours caught fire and we needed one right away. I found the one on line and the web said that they had 2 at this store. After finally finding the guy who was working in that department, we asked for the washer we picked on line and without even looking, he said the washer I wanted was not available for 7 days. When I told him I was disappointed and that I really wanted that washer and on line said there were two left, he told me "Well we are not the only game in town" When I asked if he was telling me to take my business elsewhere, he said "If you are disappointed and want that washer today you would need to, otherwise you need to pick another." I picked another and asked if it was in stock, he said he did not know and would not check until I had a final decision to let him know when I did and he would check. (Then how did he know the one I wanted as not in if he didn't check) I picked another more expensive model and like magic it was available. He said he would get the warehouse guy to get it and we never saw him again. I feel like I was baited and switched as all of the "available" washers were more expensive. I will say everyone else we came in contact with was very helpful from the warehouse guys who even loaded it for me to the cashier but that guy made sure I will not be back. read more

On 8/16, I ordered a new kitchen sink from the Lowe's store in Boynton Beach. The next day, a technician came to measure my counter for the new sink. Finally, on 9/11, my sink was installed successfully. Prior to my sink finally being installed, I had to have a carpenter come to grind the formica counter area and my cousin's husband came twice to grind the area more (3 weeks later!.) So, I didn't have a kitchen sink for about 3 weeks. I do not recommend Lowe's for their installation services, especially for kitchen sinks. I believe that the issue started with Lowe's technician not measuring the area correctly. read more

Never shopped at Lowe's before but me and my wife were looking for a wine fridge to pick up and noticed that Lowe's had a 33% discount so we decided to check out our local Lowe's where we confirmed online that there was 3 units in stock. We found the fridge and noticed the shelf price didn't match the online discount and then there was only one fridge left but the packaging was completely missing the bottom with the fridge falling out. I went to the help desk in that section and sounded the help alarm. After it sounded for 3 mins an employee turned it off without acknowledging me and went back to helping another customer. My wife asked another employee walking by and she said she didn't work in the section and said there 'were many fridges in the section' as if to say "just get a different model". I asked another lady that came up to the help desk if she worked in the section and she said no but asked me it I had a "quick question" (sorry that a customer took up your precious time). Basically I told her the item I wanted had a badly damaged box and we asked if there was more stock but she said it would only be available Monday (totally useless if we wanted a fridge on Monday I would Order on amazon and get it in 2 days that's why anyone goes to a store nowadays to get it and go) and then we asked if we could get a discount if the box was badly damaged and she said no since the product inside is fine. I cant even begin to explain the awful quality and service we have received from Lowes at every turn.....I would recommend to never use Lowes or any service team used by Lowes...that is how bad they have done..so let me tell you as I doubt they'll let me upload all the pics and proof... 1. Constant back and forth to try and speak with the specific sales rep that started our cabinet order as apparently only that person can complete our order 2. Constant changing of the order as it was done incorrectly again and again 3. The most unprofessional installers I've ever dealt with...arrived late, left early and often didn't know what they were supposed to be doing as they kept asking me what to do next 4. When they removed by back splash they destroyed the wall with a claw hammer and told me I had to replace it before they would finish the install 5. The cabinets arrived with multiple deep chips...much more than what can be covered with touch up paint....and then the installers painted them any way and voided the warranty. 6. The Installers had to be called back out to the home to build the support for the counter top and to cut the sink box....which they didn't know they were required to do.........and then they mangled the sink box so that it had to be replaced 7. We received nothing but push back from Lowes when all of these mistakes were pointed out and it was like pulling teeth to get them out to the home to inspect 8.When they finally agreed to replace with out any form of compensation...they attempted to use the same company.......We have been without a functioning kitchen since Thanksgiving....and the Lowes management all went on vacation and left us without a word ...hanging 9. When the replacement cabinets arrived......they left them on our porch in the rain..when they were supposed to be delivered to the store first 10 10 000 dollars, 3 months and the worst experience ever and I'm still sitting here without a kitchen 11. This review is specifically for Pia our kitchen designer. What a great and personable designer, excellent customer service and product knowledge. We brought measurements and Pia did an excellent job of meeting our needs. Lowes has an great selection of cabinets to choose from. The only downfall is their selection of granite is very limited and we did not find a pattern we really liked. Prices were comparable to Home Depot, however, attitude and professionalism of the designers is much better at Lowes. read more

After a disappointing visit to Home Depot across the street (I left a review), we crossed our fingers and went across the street to Lowe's hoping for at least some help. And man, did we get it! From the moment we walked in, friendly and willing to help employees offering assistance. Complete opposite of HD. I wanted to cry. I couldn't have asked for nicer experience, and that made all the difference. We needed a piece of wood cut. After 40 minutes of waiting at HD at what seemed like a place where all the rude, lazy and useless employees go to die, we finally got what we needed, at Lowe's!!!! Before we even had a chance to look around for assistance, Dave approached and got the job done in seconds! He was so nice and helpful, it made our day.
