As a first homeowner, I had NO idea what I was doing. After different advice from multiple sources (ok, mom and dad), I ended up at Lowes after doing some shopping online and comparing brands, quality and costs across the board. I wandered into the Lowes appliances section, which is on the far left side of the store, which was to my dismay, since I came in through the far right entrance. The washers and dryers are displayed in a large open area. After wandering around for 5-10 minutes and no one walked up to offer any assistance, I ended up approaching the two guys sitting around chatting at the appliances service area. One jumped up to help me. Joel was very helpful and gave me his opinion on best brands within my budget. I ended up getting a Samsung washer and dryer, with the proposed 20% off the slightly scuffed washer. There was also a 10% off discount that week, free one-day home delivery and installation. At the register, I used my newly approved Lowes credit card to receive 5% off my purchase. The next day, an automated message called me to announce the delivery appointment time for the following morning. The delivery guys came within the first hour of the 2 hour time frame and installed it before the 9-11am time frame ended. I was very satisfied with their efficiency and their promise to deliver on time. Overall, Lowes was a solid choice. I can't say it's the best since I have nothing to compare it to. However, you can't go wrong with an appliance purchase from Lowes. read more

Lowe's Home Improvement - Delivering my washer and dryer to me! - Hardware Stores Near Me - Chamblee, Georgia

I am not sure if this problem is now with all Lowe's locations or just this one location. But if you need to replace a mechanics wrench by Craftsman that has a lifetime warranty and you do not have a purchase receipt, then don't bother going to this store. The employees at the customer service desk said that their manager told them to no longer honor the lifetime warranty of Craftsman tools without a receipt. The manager was not available so I could not confirm this. And I could not find any clear information on the Lowes(dot)com website from my smartphone regarding this. I purchased the tool from Sears 25 to 30 years ago! Who keeps purchase receipts for that long? So I had to contact Craftsman directly to get a replacement. read more

Worst Lowes ever. Beware!! Ordered a refrigerator. Had to reschedule delivery Took many , many, many phone calls to the store to get someone on the phone then was put on hold for over 20 minutes and finally hung up. Tried again and finally got someone and was told they would call me back in about 20 minutes. It's been 24 hours. No call. Can Not get Anyone on the phone at this store. Called the 800 customer service number and found out entire order cancelled. Had to reorder and they would not give the same sale price so it cost more and will be almost a week before it can be delivered Never had this kind of experience anywhere except this Lowes in Chamblee GA read more

Worst experience ever. LOWES deserves NO Stars. The salesperson in the lumber department was out-of-it. He promised to have my lumber put in the cart, waiting for my husband to pick it up the next morning at 8:00 AM, Not only was it not there, but the husband the next morning also had to locate all the boards, which took considerable time. I had spent an hour finding the appropriate lumber and dealing with a very confused salesman who used the F word when I asked him to help me find the appropriate boards. I reported it all to the manager and based on her reaction, I'm not so sure any action will be taken to correct it. We then went to Home Depot at Tilly Mill and had an excellent experience. This store used to be well manicured, service was good, and in the past two years it has literally fallen off a cliff. Gypsum? Not in stock. Peat moss? Haven't had it in two+ weeks, door thresholds? All beaten to hell and missing screws or other components. Go to Home Depot. This place should close. Three days later and still not able to reach anyone by phone at the Lowes Chamblee. I also tried calling the 1-800-445-6937 number and waited in hold for more than 45 minute .... no one answered. I was charged for the delivery or items that were never delivered and I was charged for an installation that never happened. Be careful if dealing with this location. read more

I originally ordered 320 of the wall blocks (item # 477087 Model #17H035-ALL) and this order arrived with 309 correct blocks and 11 blocks of a different size. I was short so I ordered 200 more online, same order. What do you know but Lowe's has (2) items with the same item number. So in Lowe's infinite wisdom, there delivery group pulls by the item # and doesn't check the model number. The 200 block were supposed to arrive on June 10, 2022 from the Chamblee Store in Georgia. My store is the Sandy Springs store. It was noted to me that a computer decides what store the online order will be fulfilled from. Come to find out that neither the Sandy springs store or Chamblee store had enough blocks. My blocks didn't arrive on June 10, 2022. As a customer, I called the national customer service line for help. Very nice but all they did was to call the Chamblee store for me. I hung up and called the Chamble store on June 11, 2022 asking where are my blocks. I spent the first 35 minutes on hold and then decided to get into my car and drive to the store. I made the 15 minute drive while still on hold. I was able to talk to a manager that tried to help, and said that some of my blocks were on a truck for delivery by 2:00 pm. The truck showed up at 4:30 with.....you guessed it the wrong blocks (Item #477087 model#308788) arrived. While trying to help the nice delivery person to unload I noticed that the blocks were wrong so I asked him to take them back. The next day, I had to spend my time driving to another store to find the blocks that I needed. I drove to the Alpharetta store here in Goergia. The had the model block that I need in the quantity that I needed. I took a block to customer service and placed an order. We even pulled up the correct item and model on the screen and placed the order. I thought that was full proof. Monday I came home and there are 97 blocks on my driveway and some are the wrong block.....hmm how and why? I looked at my Alpharetta receipt to see if the quantity is correct. Guess what, the customer service people ordered the wrong block. Again, I had to take on this problem myself and call Alpharetta store and cancel the order. I have called Lowe's customer service department (3) times, very nice people but they have no authority to fix this issue and it is still my problem to fix. I'm currently short the blocks that I need and have spent about $300 of my time and other works that I have scheduled and Lowe's still hasn't fixed the issue. Because I'm in the middle of a project, 75% of me still needs Lowe's but if I could I would never set foot in a Lowe's for sometime to come. I will be telling all my friends and people I run into about this experience and tell them to find other means to get products. This is still my problem to fix and no one person at Lowe's can fix it. read more

Such a shame that customer service is not what it used to be. When you call to check on an appliance delivery that never arrives and are lied to by an associate of Lowe's. Not only do they not help you they tell you to call a different store that you did not buy from to check the order, ask for a manager to state they are the manager and hang up. Guess what they were not the manager. So they would treat you horrible on the second call and prior to hanging up said fine come to the store. The manager obviously knew I would show up, never apologized for the associates behavior or they gave that I had to drive to get a response. He had no concern that his employee would loose out on the sale. Shame on you Lowe's as you have driven a customer elsewhere from now on. Website says 12 of product are available, arrive at store and staff says they are out or product. Call store after returning home, they answer after about 100 rings, stuff me on hold 15 minutes - basically until I choose to hang up. I guess they prefer to leave on hold so they do not have to listen to the rings. I know hiring staff is difficult nowadays, but these people are not even pretending to care. read more

Two recent good experiences. I went there two weeks ago on a Monday to find a washing machine to replace ours that finally died. We never really liked it, so we didn't try to resuscitate it. I wasn't in the appliance area even 10 minutes when a friendly sales associate arrived to help me. I had researched their machines beforehand, so I already knew what I wanted. We did the paperwork, arranged the delivery for that Wednesday. The installers arrived on time, and zip, zip, done! I also went to the lighting department to but some lampcord, and was immediately helped. The next example was today, involving my wife. She loaded up on various plants in the garden shop and was struggling with them in her cart. One of the associates immediately waved her into his line, checked her out, and then heiped her load the plants into her SUV. We both noted that this store has staffed up with more helpful associates than they've ever had since this store was built. Keep up the good work! read more

I ordered a grill to have assembled and delivered on my anniversary. I placed the order 4 weeks ahead of time. The day before the scheduled delivery I received both a text and phone call confirming delivery. The next morning I am waiting for the grill, and nothing arrives. I spent 2 hours trying to call the store and nobody answered. I am assuming they never assembled the grill because they have 3 in stock, so it is not a supply issue. Clearly they are not organized, and they didn't even give me the courtesy to call and let me know there is a problem with the delivery date. Absolutely horrible. I'm giving a 5/5 for Alicia - the person who helped me with cutting/sizing my drywall! Parking - Huge lot. You'll be able to find a spot & take any large items to your car without any worry ...Back to Alicia - Wow, she was AWESOME. I had to get a plumber to fix my upstair's neighbor's leak in his tub. Guess where they had to cut? Yep, my ceiling. After figuring out the usual costs of drywall, I figured - hey let's do a DIY *btw, I tried. I failed :( Once Alicia showed me what I needed... I kind of got scared. Why? Because theses drywalls are pretty massive. I drive a SUV, not a truck and I told her it was a tiny patch. I'm nowhere near expert level on drywall. She immediately got her cutting stuff and started to look at my measurements. Before I knew it, she had cut everything I needed & I even took home the extra drywall. During the process of cutting my drywall, I asked Alicia questions about what to buy/use/if the youtube videos I saw were correct when repairing, she said yep, and buy this type and that. Definitely will be asking for her again if I need to get any repairs done! read more

I there was a star to represent negative numbers they would have received it. Spent almost $4k to get kitchen cabinets a new countertop. After the delivery being delayed multiple times, I took me driving to the store and stand by the Asst manager as she made the changes for the delivery. Customer service is horrible and no one ever picks up the phone, when they do they just forward you to another depart and you end up in the same phone loop. After the delivery was supposed to be fixed I get the cabinets without the counter. This required another trip to the store to remediate the issue. This time I'm told it's in the back they don't know why it was not put on the truck. I'm down to picking up the order myself now having to rent a truck to do so. I paid to avoid this mess. This location is very convenient to my home but after today's experience with the absolute lack of customer service, it will be a long time before I will ever give them any more of my business. With the exception of a very nice associate that answered my phone after the literal 36th Time that I called the store trying to check on my order, the entire rest of the experience was beyond horrible. I placed an online order that should have been ready within an hour or two. The order was still not ready four hours later, and nobody would answer a phone in the store when I called multiple times. Then a male associate called me and said that they didn't even have two of the items that the app stated that they had, and the largest item they stated they could not get it off the shelf as they don't have any forklift drivers. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and the manager would not even speak to me on the phone when another associate asked him to speak with me. The lack of customer service and leadership at this location is abysmal sadly. Worst Lowe's I ever been too. They have had my money for over a month. Told me my Refridgerator was discounted and they didn't understand how I got my order. Made me drive all the way to the store because they wouldn't answer the phone. Even customer service couldn't get in contact with there own store. They keep transferring me back to the store instead of refunding me the my money saying it's nothing they can. Do. The Refridgerator showed up the next day after they lied said it didn't exist no more. Then they driver wouldn't take it off the truck saying that it was damaged and claim my roommate told him not to take it off which we never seen it in person. I ask this issue to be escalated more then 8 times and. Nothing has still happen. I haven't had a Refridgerator since 30days. Which my food went bad of course and I have to eat and drink somewhere everyday outside of my house. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. SOMEBODY NEEDS TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE ASAP. I have told them I'm not available for calls before 3pm I have a job. M-F they still if they contact will be while I'm working to say they tried. This store has the worst customer service that I have seen. I've called this store on three occasions to get information regarding a product that I purchased. I wasn't able to speak to anyone. Each time I was put on hold without speaking to a soul. I then called later in the day, hoping that I would get in touch with someone. No luck. My last attempt was later the same day. Every time I walk into this Lowe's, I turn to my boyfriend and say, "I love this smell!" It's the smell of a Lowe's store. It's unique and unforgettable. This particular store always has great customer service and a knowledgeable staff. The store is always clean and well maintained. I really appreciate the fact that if one particular clerk can't answer our question, they will find someone that can. I appreciate the friendly smiles and efficiency as well. Wife and I came in and purchased a new washer/dryer and fridge. The gentleman that helped us was fantastic. However, we got a call a couple days ago from a Jennifer about our order. We've been trying to call her back for two days and have either gone, unanswered hung up on or stayed on hold for an obscene amount of time. This Lowe's is pretty awful, and this coming from a guy who hasn't had a terrible personal experience here (except for the key copying incident below). I'm not sure if it's endemic to the company but the shopping experience at this store falls far below Home Depot. There never seems to be anyone on the floor to help, and those who are don't seem to know what's going on. At Home Depot, if you ask an employee where to find a product, they immediately tell you (I think they are required to memorize the store layout). At this Lowe's, if you ask the same question, they almost always pull out their cell phones and have to search the Lowe's website. The most odd experience I had was that I once came to get my house key copied. I told the guy I needed two copies. He starts to run the machine to make the first key and then just walks away. He NEVER came back. To this day, I have no idea what happened to him. I went up and down the adjacent aisles and couldn't find him. It was so ridiculous. Honestly, I ended up making the second key myself (it's one of those automated machines that isn't that hard to figure out). The place is generally a mess when I've gone, with packaging debris invariably all over the floors of certain aisles. I have actually had employees complain to me about this store's management, and that lack of leadership/management is evident in many aspects of this store. The people here are nice, but it's a frustrating, time-wasting shopping experience. Drive the extra 10 minutes and go to the Home Depot nearby. read more

I usually come to this Lowe's because of having gift cards. It's a bit farther from Home Depot so I only come if I'm in the area. Today has solidified why I prefer Home Depot. I just wasted an hour of my life here today. Searching for wrapped pine straw alone in the garden center for about 15 min. Still never found help. Then went outside garden center and asked an employee where pine was. He told me to pay first then pick it up from a storage truck. I pay and then there's no one at the storage truck. Finally Ian comes to help and I sit in the car while he goes to grab my pine straw. After two separate 15 minute searches he comes up empty. I then repark my car and go to customer service to return my payment. Cashier was extremely helpful and made a call which revealed that the pine straw was sold out. Upset can't even describe how I felt to discover this. I left with a refund, happy to have spent the last few bucks on my gift card (I also bought some smaller items) and that I'm never coming back here again. Major kudos to Ian and the nice woman at customer service. They earned this review its only stars. read more

I always experience the BEST customer service here. This morning I needed to make a copy of a key, and the key machine was down due to the hurricane :/. A member of the staff was entering work at the same time and told me they do it your self machine was down, but he'd happily make me one at the other key machine (which ended up also being down ‍). Service is always a challenge at this location. I went in three weeks ago to buy one piece of plywood and have them cut it on their saw. They advised the saw was broken. I waited three weeks because I know their attitude on service and I wanted to give them plenty of time to get fixed. I went in today and it's still broken. No one seems to care or be concerned. They have hundreds of new saws and they could just install one, but that's not their culture. It's a drive to Home Depot but I think it's worth the effort. read more

My first visit to Lowes. Long time HD customer. We have recently moved and Lowes is more convenient. Looking to replace a kitchen sink and after wandering around and back to customer service for help for calls for help to aisle 42 no one came. Clearly woefully short on staff as is the case in most large retail. Suggest they have a system to ensure, at minimum, help calls are responded to as now the calls go over the loud speaker and into a dark hole. Not sure if I will return. I remodeled my kitchen and bought everything at Lowe's to take advantage of a rebate from Samsung. I bought range, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher on the Thursday before Memorial Day. Today is the third of July and I still do not have the dishwasher. Manager has a victim mentality and does not take responsibility for the product not being delivered on time. I was transfered to correct department. Phone rang for 5 minutes and then someone picked up and hung up. Twice now, I have been to this location. Both times I have had to hunt down help, or figure it out myself. This location is poorly merchandised with unfriendly staff, and desperately needs to be cleaned. My husband, myself, and two other customers stood in the flooring aisle for over 30 minutes last night, with no one in sight to help. After 30 minutes, a deafening fire alarm went off, so we started to leave, and then it stopped right as we got up to the front. No communication over the intercom as to what was going on. The way they've merchandised the laminate flooring, the lights reflect off of the "middle tier" of the panels, and you can't actually get a decent look at the color of the laminates. Samples were strewn everywhere, in a mixed up hodge podge, so that if you were looking for a specific sample, you had to dig through 10 stacks to maybe find it. We attempted to lift up one of the flooring panels from the mid section to pull it down and look at it, since there was no employee help to be found... a literal dust cloud came off of the panel, and parts of my hand were almost black from touching it. I doubt those panels have been dusted in the last 6 months. Which is pathetic, because when people are being asked to make an easily 5k investment on flooring, they need to be able to see what the CLEAN flooring looks like. We went to self checkout, there was no one at the checkout lane (we didn't have any issues, thank goodness). As we went to leave, we saw the woman working the express checkout was chatting with a friend instead. I smiled at her, and got a blank stare back as we left. Home Depot for flooring it is! read more
