I was shopping at the Lowe's located on McMullen Creek Parkway in Charlotte and looking at the flags and flag poles and small flag stands. Meanwhile both an Employee and another man named Joel (dressed in business attire) stopped by to see if I needed anything or if I was finding everything all right. Joel may be someone from the Corporate Office and I think it is located in Charlotte now. Joel was dressed very well, was very friendly, and was a great listener. I explained that every time I purchase a flag stand it breaks quickly thereafter. I was on the website on my cellphone looking the various flag stands over and reading the reviews at the time. Joel went out of his way to make my shopping experience a great one. He said since I have have bought three and they all broke, this one would be on Lowe's. No cost to me! So nice to feel like an appreciated customer. Thanks to Joel for listening to my dilemma and finding a solution!! He walked with me to the checkout and told the associate that the flag stand in my cart was on Lowe's today. No cost to me. He thanked me for coming in. I must say I am very impressed that Joel listened to my issue and immediately solved it by making this customer both cared about and heard. I was very impressed and thankful. Great location right in town for home improvement needs including hardware goods, plants, etc. Staff is overall welcoming. I find fair pricing on plants. I was able to get a slab of plywood cut down for a table top after mine warped up years ago from my uncovered balcony. Cost gone up but I got it made anyway. read more

We were incredibly disappointed with Lowe's new return policy. Apparently they have tightened their belts and won't accept returns after a certain date. I enjoy coming to Lowes, we have frequented this location in the past; Parking lot is safe and easy to get in and out of. However - once again, be careful and be mindful of the new return policies. They have a tremendous selection of items, just like Home Depot - They just seem a bit "Softer" than Home Depot - not sure how else to describe/put it. Value - What can I say, everything is expensive in this "Pappa B" world; - Hopefully things will change for the better come January. Nevertheless, kid working the Customer Service desk was polite and kind - so I have to say the Service is OK. read more

Always find what I need. Open 7 days a week. Its home improvements on a high scale, from appliances to ceiling fans. Sometimes, things can be a bit pricey. That may be due to inflation and supply chain issues. It costs more, and imports may have difficulty getting things stateside. In spite of all of that, I enjoy my trips. Happy shopping read more

DO NOT go here for kitchen remodeling. I hesitated to write this review but in hopes that I can save at least one person from the unnecessary stress, here I am. We received terrible service from the bottom up on our kitchen remodel. The "designer" Sydney was clearly a novice at best. Many wrong parts were ordered and many were not ordered at all. We did not receive the proper refunds for mis-orders and we stopped receiving communication from the store. The contractor we met through Lowe's for this project was great. He was patient and tried his best to receive responses, clarifications, and help for all the mis-orders from Sydney but he too was mostly ignored. We LOVE our Kraftmaid kitchen. The quality is great. However, Home Depot also offers Kraftmaid cabinets as well as many local retailers. Please go there. Kraftmaid also has excellent customer service and gives quick responses; as I had to be our own advocate at points when Sydney was unaware of the products offered and telling us that some items simply did not exist. Attached is one of my last email correspondences with corporate if you would like some insight on what went wrong. We had been back and forth as we had been promised compensation for the delay and lack of refunds. The offer they gave us was a joke and at one point their attempted switch of blame was insulting. I have turned it down so that I can be vocal and warn others to avoid this all together by avoiding Lowe's for remodels. We went into this excited to make our house a home but have left with an incomplete kitchen remodel and unnecessary stress that has snowballed because of this overall terrible experience. Trey Lankford who works with RELIABLE SERVICES sent only one installer into the house to perform the original install. This resulted in the cabinets not being level when installed. IT TAKES TWO PEOPLE. We reported the problem to Lowe's and Trey came back a second time to attempt to level the cabinets, but they were still not level and have never been level. THE CABINETS NEED TO BE LEVEL FRONT TO BACK AND SIDE TO SIDE. Some of the cabinets are unlevel by .25 inches or more. We reported the problem again to Lowe's and this time Reliable Services was sent to the house twice to attempt to fix the problem, but the cabinets are still not level, as shown by the images. Reliable Services shaved down one of my cabinets the second time which makes the cabinet unusable. RELIABLE SERVICES OF INDIAN TRAIL/STALLINGS WILL DESTROY YOUR CABINETS. Very incompetent!! These cabinets need to be removed so they can be leveled on the back side and reinstalled. No one seems to be willing to take the time to do this. In addition to the cabinets, we recently found that the box around the refrigerator is not level either as we recently pushed a refrigerator into the box and found the gap around the refrigerator to be very uneven. We need to get these cabinets leveled as soon as possible so we can proceed with the countertops and other remodeling tasks. The countertops will crack if the cabinets are not level. This is why our countertop fabricator will not do the install. We have been waiting months to get this fixed by Lowes. They are supposed to contact me in a few days so I will be happy. Such a disappointing experience today. Came for a variety of things. It was hard to find anyone to help. I had to kluge together virtually everything I needed with a more expensive solution. The irrigation selection was very meager. In some cases in the hardware section, they had an empty rack for the less expensive SKU and then all they had was more expensive SKU so I ended up spending more money than I wanted to. I really love this Lowes! The store is always clean and organized. They always seem to have what I need. You can order on the app and pick up in the store very easily. The staff is always really friendly and always wanting to help. What more could you ask for? I paid in full for installation and delivery of Pella Windows (not cheap) but you have to pay in advance in 1st week of August 2020. In September, they delivered the windows to our house and placed in front against the side of the home with installation to be in a few days. They now say that installation maybe end of October as the windows lay out in the open in front of my house and a danger to my pets and children. Not to mention easily stealable too. Really completely unprofessional and unreliable for a pay-in-full in advance from a "respectable" company. My go-to Lowe's. They have what every Lowe's has. This one is just closest to home. Despite it being in a heavy traffic area it's relatively easy to get in and out of. Just avoid, at all costs, Pineville-Matthews Road. There's lots of staff at this location. Always more than you expect in every department. Compared to most "catch-all" stores like Target and Walmart, people working at Lowe's typically know exactly where to find stuff when you ask. It's a Christmas miracle y'all. Not collectively wondering with shopkeep about where something might be. If I wanted to do that I'd just search on my own. At Lowe's that has literally never happened to me. These literal walking encyclopedias know where everything is no matter which department. Last time I was here a guy helped me solve a problem I hadn't even thought through entirely. Even going so far as to make logical conclusions as to the outcome of what I had planned and the failures thereof. In the end finding me a different solution that undoubtedly saved me time, money and sanity. Joy at customer service should find another line of work. Upon me walking up and trying to spend $300+ in your store on some door hardware and telling the lovely Joy at customer service it will be a phone sale. She immediately starts talking to her wonderful co worker about how "my boss is not going to answer the phone" "they never answer the phone" like I'm not even there. I spend at least $4-5,000 in your stores a week. Treat your customers with respect or they will shop elsewhere. Home Depot is right down the street, Ferguson is right across the street. Joy should be transferred to a different department like cleaning the bathrooms or something where her poor attitude would be better utilized. read more

Things were going good as an employee until it wasn't. At first, I was welcomed in with open arms and shown a facade about the company which was a lie and something all companies do just to get a body. Lowe's don't care about their employees, there's been multiple complaints about the A/C and nobody cares, not even the ASM or store managers and you know it's bad when customers chime in on how hot it is. The only reason we received A/C in inside lawn and garden is because a CUSTOMER noticed an employee getting red in the face in almost passing out and trying to figure out why it has to get to that point in the first place while it's still employees on the inside sweating until they've went into a state of delusion. You can complain to them about how you need a break because of how hot it is and they'll just turn the other cheek and tell you to work twice as hard. There's been customers who vomited because of heat exhaustion and they still don't care. Micromanaging most definitely lives here while they favor other employees and which ones can do what they want. I've witnessed an employee almost passing out and they get upset when they expect them to not wanna stay. If you wanna be worked like a robot and have no life outside of Lowe's and they tell you it's a flexible schedule -- yeah right I suggest you work here otherwise if you want better for yourself don't EVER come here and they have reported my review so I'm just going to keep creating them anyways read more

I always seem to forget about this location for Lowe's just because it's placed where it's a weird distance off of HWY 51 and then Park Rd/Johnston runs behind it, so you really only see the back of the store. Luckily, I've had to run in here for a couple of things on my way home from work so it's pretty convenient that it exists. If you are coming from the HWY 51 side, you can turn too soon and end up weaving through the parking lot that includes Sunbelt equipment since you can rent some heavy duty stuff here - maybe it's a shared/joint venture between Lowe's? I'm not sure, but I guess if I ever have to do some major lawn work/construction - definitely need to check them out. After you traverse the gauntlet of Sunbelt equipment and find a space, it's pretty much your typical Lowe's set up inside. I didn't really see much of a garden area, but I wasn't looking for it the last trip I went. The parking lot is super busy - they may even use this space as a Park & Ride for folks that work uptown, there was just an unusual amount of cars parked... unfortunately for the cars, the lot is totally exposed to the sun. There aren't that many trees around to park next to, but I guess it's better than nothing. read more

I would like to start off by saying that this is the first time in 9 years that I have purchased new appliances or fixtures from Lowes. I came in towards the end of March to purchase a new dishwasher 3 new bathroom faucets, 1 new kitchen faucet and 2 new toilets. All of which have now been installed, look and function beautifully! The Sunday morning I went in a young gentleman by the name of (Trevon, I believe his name was) helped me. The department he worked in was appliances. However after ordering my dishwasher he went with me to pull the other items I wanted to purchase in a different department. They had all of those items on site and they did not have to be ordered. He was very nice and helpful. I highly recommend ordering with him. Now to make a very long story short. The delivery was free. I did however pay for the installation of all of my purchased items. I was told that R&R plumbing would be reaching out to me within 48 hours to set up my delivery and installation date. I mentioned I would like to have all of the items on hand installed first and then have them return to install the dishwasher since it was going to take 2 1/2 weeks. This did not happen. For about 2 1/2 weeks I made somewhere around 8 to 12 phone calls not to mention spent around 5 hours in total speaking with both Lowes and R&R plumbing. Everyone I spoke with at Lowes from the store level to customer service was for the most part very friendly and extremely helpful. And I recognize the problem is really not Lowes. It is the 2nd party installation company, R&R plumbing! You cannot get these people on the phone! Lowes sent many emails and left many voicemails trying to get them to call me back. I did not hear from them until the day of the scheduled installation. Even then I had to return to Lowes not 1 time but 2 times the day of installation to purchase additional parts both Lowes and the plumber working for R&R plumbing did not communicate to me! This is the reason I gave Lowes 4 out of 5 Stars. At the end of the day Lowes went above and beyond and made everything right! Ken was great too! read more

I have ordered three to four times from the website for in-store pickup at this location. Pretty much every time it is a disaster in one way or another. Today was no exception. I placed my order, and was charged 2x the amount my order cost in three separate transactions. Now that my order is ready for pickup, I've been on hold for literally a 33 minutes and 22 seconds on call #2 trying to resolve the double charge and finally hung up. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SHIT. I hate I didn't get the manager's name to call her out here. For all the aggravation I experience with this process, should have just gone in and picked up my items. Next time I will. Or I'll just go to Home Depot and hope for a better experience. Can't be any worse. read more

Been waiting almost a month to hear from their one man show installer to get my blinds installed, The one man has failed to respond to Lowe's at all, even when corporate got involved. As big as they are, they have nobody else to come and install them!!! What??? They use individuals instead of companies to install the products in they sale. I guess it's cheaper and you can only use local store so you can't go to another store to get their installer. Their response is for me to wait and I guess hope this guy decides to respond. Probably a big mistake using lowes. Spent most of my time being stressed as they said the equipment didn't arrive. Than the installation contractor lowes used had problems and never came to see how we wanted the fence and he didn't align the post straight and evenly to the ground. Also he put the gate lock backwards. Few more reason I wouldn't use lowes, but tried if typing. Wouldn't recommend using lowes for your fence needs. This isn't my usual Lowe's but the one I wanted couldn't find the lumber that I needed so they sent me here. Where we learned that railroad ties are stored outside because a) they weigh too much to steal and b) they stink to high heaven. The people were very friendly and offered to help me load the dang things but I realized quickly that there was no way I could get them out of my car when I got home. Hell, I think three people would be challenged to move these things. We'll have to try something else to keep the dogs from tunneling under the fence. Aside from the lumber, this is a pretty standard layout for a big box home improvement store and they have pretty much anything you could possibly need, from power tools to doors to drywall and wiring. And buckets more. Prices are good, but I would suggest that you check your local Wal-Mart first if you're price-sensitive. read more

Is this place a joke? I called the Pineville, NC location to confirm they had a dishwasher in stock (Since the website has inaccurate stocking levels... I called a location earlier in the day and learned In-Stock / Same day pickup means its in a local warehouse and they can deliver in two days!!!). Back to Pineville Lowes for 25-1/2 minutes (I took a picture of the call!) and finally hung up after no one me up from hold for 15-minutes. Called a second time, someone picked up and then hung up. Finally I called back to discuss with a store manager. After 10-minutes of waiting learn the manager is magically in a meeting. Worst customer service. My dishwasher died yesterday, on Easter Day and all I want is to buy a replacement.... Today! As a final note, I later found out the 8 dishwashers they in "have" in stock is a lie. I truly can't stand going to "home improvement" stores. It's along the lines of going to "walmart". No staff knows where anything is. You ask one staff remember about an item, and they call another staff member, only to have that staff member calls someone else. 4 staff members later we get the answer of "sorry, not sure". The restrooms were super clean at this location. That's not something you see every day. Wish that the stores would train their employees to know where certain things are. Trust me, i understand it's a BIG store and there are a great deal of items to buy... BUT... at least have certain people that can be called for certain sections. Don't get me wrong, everyone was super friendly. But I waited about 40 minutes for help. like other reviewers I find home improvement retailers to be pretty vanilla--necessary, but nothing to rave about. But, the Pineville location is the excepotion. They are significantly better supplied and merchandised than others. There are three other Lowes closer to us than Pineville's Lowes. We needed a plumbing part and did not know if there was even a part that could marry two pipes in an S couple. There is, but very few Lowes have them . Found it on aisle 33 and there was a helpful associate who actually knew DIY plumbing who helped us with the part and a few other parts that it turned out we needed. BUYER BEWARE (CARPET INSTALL): After getting carpet installed a month ago we have been arguing back and forth with this store and their install department about the damage done to our house. We've been told we should have EXPECTED DAMAGE when getting carpet installed. Who would every agree to pay over a thousand dollars for carpet just to have other areas of the home damaged?! The installers didn't show up on time, didn't bring their own equipment, left staples all around the house and driveway, and left other messes all around the home (including the bathroom). It took them 2 full days to install 2 small rooms of carpet and some stairs. They even broke our entryway light. We went back and forth with the store and their install department being told multiple times we would receive call backs, but never did. This is the worst customer service I've ever received. I will never step foot in a Lowe's again. We ended up receiving a $270 refund that will not cover even cover half the damage, but Lowe's doesn't care because they only offer 10% of the total as compensation. read more

This rating & review is for the Garden Center here. I haven't had the opportunity to really explore the rest of this Lowe's store. I believe the employee's name is Darius, who works in the Garden Center. He's really nice and was there each time I was there in the mornings and would look at me and mouth "Good morning" or , "Are you ok?". This gentleman is deaf but made it a point to make eye contact with me and acknowledge me. I always saw him on the mobile stairs stocking high shelves, moving plant carts, or watering plants. Lilah is also another star Garden Center employee. She knows where everything is and knows a TON about the plants. Super helpful and friendly. read more

Bought a storm door from them. After installation we discovered there were parts missing from when it was manufactured. Lowe's upon my complaint committed to replace the door and install it free of charge. Almost a month later and eight trips to the store to follow-up, Lowe's has not fulfilled their commitment and apparently blocked my phone number. I needed to buy about $1,000 of shower tiles. Theo in the tile department was extremely rude and uncooperative. After about two minutes of asking him about inventory, he walked away and went to talk to his friends at the counter. I had to find another person outside the tile department to help me. I was able to get Melissa to help me who was extremely helpful and friendly. Do not buy bathroom tiles from the store. read more

I went to Lowes looking for some firewood for a recently purchased fire pit for our backyard. Turns out firewood is pretty hard to find when the weather gets warm.. I didn't see any bundles out front, but after speaking with 3 employees, and walking around the store I was met with a very kind Lowes employee who walked with me to the back, where they had a pallet of firewood that they hadn't set out yet. He then walked me all the way up to checkout so that I wouldn't have to carry the two bundles myself. I thought this was a great gesture that he would go so far out of his way to help me. The wood was cheap too - $5 a bundle. I think this is where we will be buying our fire wood from now on. read more

This review is based on this location's truck delivery alone. I jumped on their 50% off patio furniture sale last month and I took advantage of their delivery for $56. As long as you order everything online, they will deliver it all for that one fee...even if they have to make multiple trips. Score! If that isn't fantastic enough, when the delivery guys came, they even took extra time to put together my furniture. Seriously, that saved me hours of work and frustration. They were so nice to do it and they took the cardboard boxes with them. The managers that called to schedule the deliveries or confirm a return were so courteous! Lowe's is the closest home improvement store to our house. Even so we had to drive out to Walmart on S. Tryon to look for a special mouse trap that my wife insisted that they carried. Of course they didn't have. I suggested that we try Lowe's. We went to the one near the house where they had a lot of the sticky traps she wanted. Lowe's is the best place that I've found for just about anything having to do with the house at a good price. read more

I bought a refrigerator and the ice maker kit with it on Sunday, 1/14 for delivery on Monday, 1/15. When delivered I asked the Lowe's employees to switch the door so that it opened into instead of away from the kitchen. Common sense? They were not very happy with this request. It has been 38 hours and ice maker still is not working. When I called to ask someone to come back out, I was told that it was not possible as they had other customers to take care of. I tried to explain that I was also a customer who should have been taken care of yesterday.
