Stupid Yelp won't show my the review I'm updating. If you've ever gone from store to store looking for a product, you know how much of a hassle that is to do. It is much better to call a few places until you find one that has what you need right now. I called Lowe's on a Tuesday at 11:00, not a holiday, and it rang for 10 minutes without answer. Colossal waste of time. I'll go elsewhere. Oh, and don't use a credit or debit card here unless the machine accepts your tap to pay or NFS (if they offer NFS). We stopped in here for a few items for our garden. We were able to find them pretty easily, including a large stake to support our cactus that keeps falling over. We spent time in the garden section and looking at tools and things were well organized and easy to find. We checked out at the self check out area and were in and out quickly with everything we needed. The parking lot was crowded, but we easily grabbed a spot a short walk from the exit. This location definitely comes through whenever we stop in, and has been pretty reliable. read more

Last year, I provided a scathing review of the woefully poor service, and Lowe's has scrubbed it from the review section, revealing censorship of honest feedback. Beware. As an elderly, disabled woman, I had to drive numerous times to Lowe's due to extremely poor management. No one was calling me back even after leaving message after message. I will never return to Lowe's as this store caused me mental and physical pain due to mistakes and to my disability. I want to like Lowe's. I feel like I try really hard to like Lowe's. When I need something from a hardware store, I almost always check Lowe's first. Yesterday, I was looking for some shelf pegs. Since I am often bad at describing details when put on the spot, I came prepared with a close-up picture of the pegs in question. First, I searched around the store, hoping to be able to find the item without help. After over thirty minutes of searching on my own, I finally decided to ask for help. I walked up to the customer service area, but the cashiers were all busy, and had long lines. I watched another woman stop a sales associate for help. He seemed to take his time explaining things to her, so I decided to ask him for help as well. He said, "They're on aisle 29." I told him that I had already looked there, but would look again. I looked again. I went back up to the customer service desk and explained that I was having trouble finding an item. The girl picked up her radio and said, "Sean, do you copy?" She asked him to come help me. The same voice which had already sent me to aisle 29 replied, "You know they're on aisle 29, right?" I felt that he said it in a very condescending tone, as if I were dumb for not finding this product (which they turned out not to carry at all) where he erroneously thought it should be. He declined to come help, so the girl walked me there herself. We didn't find the shelf pegs on aisle 29. We went to a different help counter, where she asked another associate if he knew where they would be. Judging by the way she asked him, it seemed like he was probably one of the most experienced associates in the store. He informed me that they had stopped carrying those specific shelf pegs in the store years ago. He referred me to Ace, saying he hated to refer me somewhere else, but was pretty sure I would find them there. (I did.) In my opinion, this was actually better customer service than just telling me to go look on aisle 29. I was grateful to finally know where I could go to pick up the item I was looking for. I'm sure I will continue to shop at Lowe's in the future because they have good prices on a lot of good products, but their customer service is very hit or miss. read more

You know you're old when you get excited about the price of boxes the Lowe's in west Sacramento only seems to carry banker boxes, and it rings up to $30 ish just for 3 boxes!! I got 4 large (simple... god I hate banker boxes... ) for literally half the price! It's a well set up store, friendly staff, perfect Lowe's to go to if you're moving and need a lot of boxes and don't want to spend a ton on boxes... comparable to Wally World's prices. literally the worst experience I've had at a store. I am building garden beds and ordered 10 16ft 2x6s and a few other small things to be delivered. i decided to go with Lowe's because they said I could have it here by the next day Between 2-6. So from 1 o'clock on I waited for them to deliver because someone has to be here to sign. by 6pm I'm tracking the truck and it hasn't moved. It says "you're the next stop". By 9pm I assume they're not coming. (they didn't text me to update me at all) The next day I spoke to someone online, they said it'll be delivered that day. So I call a few hours later to see when they're coming, then they tell me it can't be delivered until the next day. i ask if there's anyway to have it delivered today, she says no and gives me a 12 hour window for the next Day. I'm posting this yelp for my husband, we both have a pro Lowe's business card. We have gone to Lowe's for many years .They recently changed their refund policy. in most cases, they will not accept anything back without a receipt. My husband had to learn this the hard way, and now he's making certain to save all of his receipts. He recently went to return some items that he bought too many of when the return person tried to scan the items for a return, they did not scan. When my husband bought them, he went to self check out and they scanned perfectly fine. The return person would not even look at the receipt or pull up his pro Lowe's card to double check that the items were on there. She just scanned them and said nope these are not ours repeatedly. my husband went and got another receipt out of the car that had two of the same items on it after a lengthy altercation with the return person. She finally agreed to return two of them since he showed her they were on the receipt. He asked for a manager to try to get the other items returned, a manager came and scanned the items and she said these are not ours. My husband then went to the item in the store and brought the whole box to the manager who tried to scan them, and they did not scan. She finally agreed to let him return the rest of the items. He was very upset, especially with the way the return person handled the whole situation. She was very rude and very dismissive. It's the principle of the matter, the return person should have been way more accommodating, even if the item was only worth $.84. He's refusing to go to Lowe's anymore and we will be advising both of our sons who also have cards not to go there and to anyone else not to go there......it's not worth the trouble. We will be cutting up our Lowe's cards and canceling our accounts. This was a very unsatisfactory shopping experience. read more

You're far better off shopping at Home Depot, Ace Hardware, or any other home improvement store. Here's the issue: employees are encouraged to promote a store-branded credit card by offering an enticing discount at checkout. What they don't clearly disclose are the serious financial strings attached. These include a high-interest rate, recurring monthly fees, and a hard inquiry on your credit report that can negatively impact your score. Additionally, payments can only be made by creating an online account and linking a bank account. If you don't complete that setup--which isn't properly explained--you could be hit with 30% interest on unpaid balances. My biggest concern is that this system seems designed to exploit customers who may not fully understand what they're signing up for. My elderly father, who is hard of hearing and not fluent in English, was talked into opening one of these accounts without being informed of the full terms. While the employees were polite, it's clear they were following management directives to meet credit card sign-up goals--regardless of the customer's ability to fully consent. I don't fault the employees personally. I fault Lowe's corporate and local management for creating a system that prioritizes profits over ethics and customer well-being. Came here to get some shelving, brackets, and other hardware. We are doing little projects - new office and converting a closet to a pantry. The store is quite clean and has pretty much everything you can think of for home improvement. Also toward the back they have a pretty large selection of marked down appliances and then in the very back there is a large clearance section, be prepared to dig because there's just so much back there.I wish I could give more stars but we had to wait so long for someone to help us get our lumber cut. After about 15 minutes they did call over the PA for someone to help us. The person didn't come but Myles saved the day. So friendly and professional. We had a nice chat about the day and the projects we were doing. He shared with my wife and I that he and his wife have a baby on the way - so personable and kind. After he confirmed the measurements he cut everything super quick and asked if we needed anything else. Myles thanked us for coming in and rushed of to save the day somewhere else. There's is no one I went as far where customer service but a single worker. When I finally talked to somebody, a cashier who knows nothing she called the supervisor (in garden dept) I waited, when she finally came and I show my phone what I want, she look for 30 seconds on the shelves she said" oh here's a small one why don't you get it instead. I very much appreciate him, he took much stress away from me while assisting me with ensuring my new appliances were on a delivery truck to be delivered after numerous attempts at the delivery date being changed by someone with in the Lowe's distribution centers. I love this location because it is close to my home. Today I picked up chlorine and acid for my pool. The store was very organized and the people were very helpful. My cashier was nice, funny and seemed to loved his job. I should of got his name and give him a shout out. I ordered 2 patio umbrellas and a chaise lounge on 4/9/25. For delivery on 4/22/25 as one of items not available until then. A few days later I received a phone call, they did not have the color I ordered for 1 of the umbrellas! Apparently they couldn't get it from another store or warehouse. I decided I didn't need that umbrella but still wanted the other umbrella and chair. On 4/21/25 I received text and email stating delivery between 7:30am -11:30am. OK I am ready then I checked my email and received an email sent at 7:00am stating I had to reschedule delivery. I have cancelled the order and will go somewhere else for the items. read more

Every time my hubby and I came to this location, we've always received genuine customer service from the cashier peeps. Today we walked in to make a copy of key. We thought they used to make copies of keys somewhere in the hardware department, but they no longer do that. Instead there's a lime green kiosk machine near the front registers where you can conveniently make copies of your own keys, yourself! Peep my picture! The process is super easy; all you need to do is follow the prompts and after paying $5 + tax ($5.41) your copied key is made! Fine place to go get small stuff, screws, bolts, some plants. Not the place to go for large appliances. They totally screwed me with a refrigerator I purchased. They tell you your items will be delivered on a certain day from this time to this time, and items won't show up. They did this to me and to a friend and they just tell us that the item didn't make it on to the truck and they don't bother to call you to let you know so you don't waste half of your day. When the refrigerator was finally delivered 2 weeks later, it arrived with major damage (after getting the runaround for two weeks!) I spoke to a manager by the name of George, he could care less about anything. Didn't even bother to say sorry once. Feel like the employees cared much more than he did. Lowe's Greenback ran a promotion in partnership with Beutler to clean home air conditioners. The service was fine. I paid by check because they found something else that needed repair. The repairman didn't submit my check right away and Lowe's starting calling me about the payment. After the repairman did submit the check to Beutler who forwarded it to Lowe's for deposit, the bank returned the check to Lowe's because it was damaged. The check wasn't damaged when I gave it to the repairman. Then I have Lowe's calling me asking for my card number to pay for the charge. I understand stuff happens, but that check should have been returned to me before I stupidly gave them my card number. I have made myself vulnerable to possibly paying for this twice. That part is my fault. However, I feel that the Lowe's Beutler partnership and payment arrangements should be more tightly set up and controlled and that this issue that occurred between merchants should be taken care of between merchants. Had it been properly set up, I would never gave been put in the middle of this. This has resulted in eight separate phone calls and a lot of my time to straighten out an issue that was not caused by me. Never again will I sign up for promotions run out of Lowe's. They say they will notify you before a delivery, but the notification came so close to delivery that I wasnt there. The toilets weigh 100 lbs each and I am a senior citizen. I cant move them. I had given lowes instructions to deliver them to my garage. They left them instead on the front porch. Worst place. I went into the Lowes in Citrus Heights, CA on Saturday morning, August 16, 2025, to purchase a new microwave. A lovely young woman helped me right away in comparing the size of my current appliance to new ones to ensure a perfect fit. It was a rather quick and fun experience and I didn't hesitate to include the delivery & set up fee plus removal of the old microwave (even though it was an additional $200). The installation company (Premiere) called me on August 21st to set up an appointment for August 22nd. I took a half day off of work to be at home for the delivery/installation. The installer showed up on time but when he opened the box (in perfect condition), the microwave inside looked like it had been thrown from a moving truck - it was obvious someone placed a knowingly damaged appliance in a new box. No problem - he returned the item the same day and informed me that Lowes would be in contact when the new microwave was available. Today is September 19th - over a month since I purchased and paid for my new microwave and it is still not installed in my home. I've had numerous frustrating phone conversations with Lowes employees in which I've been told everything to "It's en route" to "We are working to find a microwave that will fit unless you want to pay additional fees for the installer to complete cabinet work (they had the wrong customer)". So much disorganization and lack of actual solutions I will probably never return to Lowes again. At this point, I have a poll going to see when I finally get the items I paid for - perhaps it will be my Christmas present?? read more

Extended warranty company jerking us around. 5 technician visit and multiple parts replaced for the SAME ISSUE and it still won't work. Their solution? Send out another tech. Iam at Lowe's a lot and I love that they have a boneyard section I have purchased a lot of items and saved a bundle and never had any issues at check out so I was shocked when I went in one day to purchase some paint and stoped by the boneyard section and found a audio cord I needed marked down to $1.99 I thought what a great deal I can't pas it up so I grabbed it and headed to the checkout what I didn't expect was when the employee scanned it and noticed the price that came up she picked up the phone called someone and told them the price that came up and then hung up the phone and informed me that I couldn't purchase the audio cord she removed it from the register put the audio cord under the counter scanned the paint hit the proceeds button and told me the total I asked about the cord and told her it was in the boneyard section and marked down and she told me that she couldn't sell me the cord I purchased the paint I never thought Lowe's would treat a customer like that read more
