I just bought a brand new Whirlpool fridge from Smart Buy for $800 (plus $80 delivery) and list price was $1400. Screaming deal! And, it's working great. Delivered the next day and was new with plastic on panels and insides taped still from factory. I was able to register with Whirlpool immediately online and bought manufacturer 3 yr extended warranty for $170. This math made my thrifty heart happy. As other positive reviewer said, it's not Home Depot, and I had to request my invoice be emailed to me twice, but Angela, despite being overwhelmed with her duties, got me what I needed on a Sunday. One small paint ding on left side that would be hidden with one small photo or some paint. Kick plate below fridge was a bit scraped up, but who cares? I will shop with them again read more

PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!!!! They will say anything to sell you a product in there store. My father in law drovefrom Las Vegas Nevada to buy a oven that they posted on offer up. He asked if they still had the product and they reply with yes we do. So he decided to take the 8hour drive to Sacramento to buy the oven and when he got there they told him that they didn't have the oven. But they could order the oven for him. He decided to take a look around saw a oven he liked. He inspected a little but with the small amount of lighting he didn't realize that there was grease stains. But realize that there was a missing piece at the bottom of the oven. The employees told him that they would order the piece for him and ship it to Las Vegas. (He purchased the item 1/4/18.) He came back home Monday night 1/7/18 and called them Tuesday morning to ask about if they had order the missing piece they told him that he can order it and to just send them a picture of the purchase made so they could send the money to him. We try ordering the piece and it was sold out in every website we checked. We had the oven in the garage until we could get an electrician to came and install the oven. But mean while in the garage we realized that there was grease stains inside the oven. My father n law try to reach out to Sofia and Emily they were just beating around the bush. Telling him that they would get the manager to call him. He also send them videos of the oven and Sofia told him that he could return the item but he had to wait til Monday or Tuesday to do the return(mind you we live in Vegas and we work so driving out Monday or Tuesday isn't a Option unless we loose out on a day or two of work) so he try to call them and see if there was a better option but they would just forward his call when they would see the 702 area code. He would also text them and they would just ignore the text. I was able to call them on a 725 area code which they didn't realize was also a Las Vegas area code and finally answered me. The lady told me that she would forward the number to he manager so I could speak them her or him but never for a call back but they finally decided to text my father n law back telling him that they weren't going to do the return after all . That he check the oven and for all they know we connected it and used it. And also told us to take them to court. SO PLEASE PLEASE DONT GO TO SMART BUY. NEGATIVE FIVE MILLION STARS. I am so disgusted with this company. The fact that humans like the ones who own and operate this store made me lose all the rest of my faith I had in humanity. Our family's trusty dryer we have had for years stopped working last week. So I had been searching for a new washer and dryer and saw an ad on CL for a Whirlpool Washer and Whirlpool Electric Dryer set for a great price. So I sent an email. I drove over an hour and a half because after receiving my email about the set, Jeff have me a call and told me that it was in stock. I clearly stated when I got to the store that I needed an electric dryer. He assured me that that's what I was buying and we went ahead with the purchase. Since I was told my set wouldn't be delivered for over a week I came and picked it up myself. (Another 3+ hour round trip) When I got home with my new set I tried to install it and realized it was a GAS dryer. As soon as I texted Jeff about it he told me he was sorry and it was his fault. He told me that he would make it right and find me the dryer I was supposed to get and "personally deliver" it to me ASAP. Fast forward a few days. I was getting irritated with being ignored and blown off so I told Jeff that I wanted a refund. He instantly called me back telling me, "Great news! We just found the dryer you need through one of our vendors!" I was so happy but still a little skeptical. Fast forward two days going by without anything delivered. I kept asking for Jeff and supposed owner Lauren to simply text me a picture of the dryer that they had gotten for me so I could confirm that it was the right one. Lauren texted me a picture of a washing machine telling me it was a dryer. When I called her out on it she said she hadn't realized it wasn't the right one and assured me that my dryer was there but yet could not send me a picture of it. I got frustrated with waiting for a delivery and kept being told that they couldn't make the delivery each day because it was raining. So I decided to go down there and do the exchange myself. Before I went, I was asking both Jeff and Lauren over and over to please confirm that my dryer is indeed there waiting for me, and if I got off work early to come exchange the dryer there would be no surprises or issues. My boyfriend and I got off work early to go exchange the dryer. We get all the way down there and both of the people that I had been speaking to (who knew I was on my way) weren't there. My dryer wasn't there, either. The only two people running the store were what seemed to be teenagers (probably their kids) and supposedly had no idea about my situation and told me that my dryer wasn't there. I was LIVID. I was PROMISED and GUARANTEED that if I came down there that I would receive the item I had intended to buy. I ended up leaving the dryer there with them and demanding a refund. Which was the biggest pain ever to get. This is the worst company that I have ever dealt with in my ENTIRE life and I would never do business with them again. In the end I got stuck with a washing machine I couldn't return because I used it once and still no dryer. I bought almost $ 7000 worth of appliances in September that were supposed to take 6 weeks to arrive and when I called over and over again they said they were almost all in and that they would be delivered November 5th. Cali was in charge and she assured me that they would be delivered that day. Well I called on November 4th and they said that they did not know when they would arrive the next day..... After calling over and over they finally told me that I was too impatient and that they refused to give me the appliances. They told me that they would refund me the money via check and it would take 48 hours to get that out to me. It has now been over 20 days and MANY CALLS later... that they refuse to answer and STILL NO MONEY BACK! Now I have to use a lawyer to get my money back... Avoid this seller at all cost. We purchased 2 appliances from this store (both were NEW not used). The first was a Viking Wine cooler. When I called into the store they said they didn't accept credit cards because they were having trouble with their processing partner so they asked me to pay via Venmo. I asked why they had so many bad reviews on Yelp and they explained that the store had previously been under different management and that things had now changed. After talking with them we decided to purchase the Wine cooler first and see how the delivery went; then purchase the second appliance (Viking 42 inch Fridge) if the first went well. The first ended up going OK.. they rescheduled delivery once, but it arrived and was as described. They then called us about the second appliance to see if we wanted to now purchase the Viking Fridge and explained that they have a new card processing vendor and are now accepting credit cards. We placed the order and scheduled the delivery. On the delivery date they were a no-call no-show. We called them to find out what was going on and they said it was the delivery drivers fault because they were having trouble with their truck. We then rescheduled the delivery and the same thing happened again. Over the next month we rescheduled a total of 8 deliveries and all were no-show no-call. Finally we asked for the delivery companies number. When we spoke with them they explained that Smart Buy had called them about a delivery but had been jerking them around and had never committed to a date or pickup location because they didn't even have the appliance in stock. I then called and asked Smart Buy for a refund. They said they would and pretended to process a refund. When it never showed up I called to follow up and they texted us a screen shot to show they had sent it. But after two more weeks we still had not received a refund. When we would call to follow up they would make up a variation of stories and ask us to just wait a little longer and that it should post. Ultimately they never refunded us the purchase amount and never delivered the second appliance. We ended up having to file a credit card dispute and the card provider ruled in our favor and credited us back the full purchase amount. My advice is to stay away from Smart Buy at all cost. I personally had a horrible experience with Smart Buy and ended with no appliance and no refund. I waited deliberately to make sure I was reviewing out of facts rather than emotion. The sale price was quite reasonable so I ordered and purchased the DeWalt portable saw for my son on 11/24/18. They said it would be 7-10 working days, which was reasonable. I called 11/28 to check the status of the order. I was told by the owner that she would call me back. I waited about 5 hours and called again with a message that the voicemail was full. About an hour later she did call back and said that it should be in on 11/29 in the afternoon. I waited until 4 pm to call and was told it would be in Sat. afternoon. We weren't happy but what can you do. Afterall Sat. would be the 10th working day. I called about 3pm, left a message, and received a call from one of the employees. She said it would be in after 5pm. I called at 5:15 pm with no answer. My son has made 2 60 mile round trips to pick this saw up. We decided to go to the store and wait for the vendor to deliver it. The 'office manager' said that it won't be delivered until 7-8: 45 pm. I gave them a 45 min. lecture on Customer Service and Communications, including the necessity of a store phone. They all agreed including the Service Manager. It came down to they offered free delivery to my son's home in exchange for a good review on Yelp. I told them it depended on the delivery on 12/11. I called on the 11th and told them I would come to get the saw instead of delivery. The store employee, I saved the return call from the store bypassing the owner, said the saw was in the store. I said I would be there about 11:30-noon. I arrived and the 'office manager' told be that they had a problem because the other employee took the keys to the delivery truck and was in San Franscisco. She had returned and went to the vendor to pick the saw up. I thought the saw was at the store. Makes you want to say 'huh?'. They finally got there about 20-30 min. and asked if they could put the box in my car. As soon as the box was set, I left. I wouldn't trust these people as long as their mouths were moving. Their prices are great but I will not deal with slight of tongue or 'I didn't say that' conversations. At least get on the same page. Hope people have everything in writing before they leave the store, including delivery promises. read more

I recently purchased a double oven from Smart Buy. The thing you must know about this business is that it makes money by purchasing a variety of demos, floor models and other discounted products at low prices, and then passes the savings on to the consumer. This isn't Home Depot, where you'll pay top dollar for the boxed item. The products they purchase, as far as they know, are in excellent working order. Since they deal in a relatively high volume, a couple of duds may sneak through their quality control process, and such was the case with the oven I purchased. Let's be real clear: I bought a four thousand dollar BRAND NEW floor model from Smart Buy at a cost of less than half the retail price. I live in the South Bay area, and they promised its delivery within one week. They complied and kept me up to date at all times about the logistical details. Because we were engaged in a remodel, the oven sat for a week before we could install it. When we did, we found it was wired in what seemed an unusual manner. Sure enough, when powered up, it didn't work. We contacted the manufacturer, who gladly provided us with a full one year warranty and sent a crew out to look into the problems. The problems turned out to be that the oven was a demo--it had no guts. There was no way for anyone to know this until it was powered up. No one is to blame. I contacted Smart Buy right away, and they responded immediately. Polite, professional and concerned, Cali, the sales rep with whom I worked, made me feel sure the company would make it right. Within a week's time, we had a replacement that works beautifully. I got a screamin' deal from Smart Buy. I would have paid more than twice what I did to buy this item from any other vendor. They honor their agreements, they follow through. If they make a mistake, they fix it. If you can't handle the ups and downs of purchasing an item at a price that seems too good to be true, you need to stick with your basic retailer and just pay full price. I love getting deals, and I really did well with Smart Buy. I will definitely purchase from them again. Both Sophia and Cali were excellent at communicating with me and keeping their word. read more

Then they refused to install them after i paid to have them installed. SHADY SHADY PEOPLE. Long story short they promised to refund me 50% of my money to accept the used appliances, sent me a confirmation of my refund via email , then reversed it so i never got my refund. STEER CLEAR!!! We ordered a set of 3 large appliances for our kitchen remodel and were told 2 weeks until delivery. They required payment of $4800 up front (big mistake!). After numerous stalling tactics and broken promises, we still had only gotten one of the appliances after 2-1/2 months, and it was missing parts. I demanded a refund for the appliances that I had not recieved and was told that they didn't have checks at the store and couldn't process a credit card refund there, so the owner would have to take care of it. I spoke with the owner and she promised she would take care of it the next day. Never received a dime back from them. I told them that i would pursue legal action if they didn't return the balance of the deposit, and was told by the salesman that his uncle was a lawyer, and good luck. Hmmm... nice customer service. Be Careful. I was told the Kitchen Aid Oven I wanted to buy was in pristine condition. When we arrived there were some finishing strips missing. Nothing huge that would have changed our mind because I was told there was a 1 year warranty and it was a great price. What stopped us cold is they said "Cash Only." We always use credit cards because they warranty the purchase --- even if you break the item by dropping it on the way to the car. And if a purchase isn't legit you want to have Citibank on your side to get a refund. So cash only -- meant we had to walk away. The absolute worse buying experience ever at Smart Buy. ALL of the 5 star reviews have been removed recently likely by Yelp because of fraudulent accounts attempting to mask their true reviews. DO NOT trust any 5 star reviews but look at the authentic 1 stars and see the trending reasons of dissatisfaction by REAL people. They have craigslist ads advertising appliances they dont even have in stock. Once you get there they will have an excuse as to why the item you came for is no longer on the floor even though you called and were assured it is there. They then tell you they can get any other appliance and quote you a price thats too good to be true and guess what it is. Your order will take extremely long (weeks) and you will be continually strung along excuse after excuse and they WILL under deliver if they ever do at all. They also require you to pay up front so you potentially will trap ALL of your money with nothing to show. Be prepared to be contacted by several employees from different numbers none of whom really seem to know how to run a business nor will they have the info you are looking for. They will blame it on being a new business or a vendor or driver delay etc. Good luck with any customer service or getting a refund because they have a manager that isnt ever available. BUYERS BEWARE! I went to this place and found out they had moved to a new location in Rancho Cordova at 10826 Olson Dr Unit C. I drove to the new place and purchased a washer and dryer. They told me they did not accept CC so paid via Zelle. Well the weeks went by and my washer and dryer never arrived. They kept giving me the run around with one excuse or another. After almost a month I got fed up and demanded my money back. Of course they also kept delaying that, even though a refund through Zelle should have been instant. I did some research and I found out this place has been reported to the Better Business Bureau as scamming many people out of their money. Apparently Sophia Alfi who is either the owner of this business or related had another business named OEM Appliance also doing these kind of shady business. I went in person and demanded my money back. The employee who had first told me only the owner could do the refund ended up doing the refund. Save your money with this place. I bought a refrigerator to go in the garage. It was delivered without the grate at the bottom of the refrigerator. I called and was told to go in the store and they would have the missing piece. Once I drove over an hour in traffic to the store I was told they would have to order the part because it was not available in the store and it would be sent to my house in approximately one week. The store clerks seemed very confused about what I was talking about and had to call someone offsite to get clarification. I waited patiently for a little over two weeks for the piece to come in. I called and was told that the part was in the store and it would be delivered to my house that day. Needless to say it was not delivered and I have attempted to call and text the store however I have not heard from anyone in this establishment regarding the missing piece to my refrigerator. read more

I want everyone to know they may have good prices but their business sense is the worst. I had to order a stove because they didn't have the one I wanted. I get that no problem. They called about 2 weeks later. I even accepted that it was past the date. They asked if Tuesday would be good to deliver. They called me. Anyway Tuesday comes, my husband waits for hours....no show no call. I call them the next day and she explains must have been miscommunication. Ok I said...so we scheduled another date. Again no show no call. I call again (full voice mail) so I called and called and called until she finally called back saying that was her personal phone. At that point do you think I care. Again a date and time was set....and no show so I call and explain how ridiculous this is. Needless to say 2 more times 15 or more phone calls and it is still not delivered. Between being told their delivery man no showed and then they got another one and then he couldn't do it that day....etc. My husband decided to drive there and get it. When he gets there my stove is not even there. They say it is at the warehouse but he can not go there. So again several phone calls later it is set up for the next day......Yippie the 5th delivery date. Several phone calls later after they give me the wrong delivery man's number someone shows up with my stove. Not aware he is suppose to take my old stove and give me a check for an inconvenience on the delayed delivery. Of course he knows nothing about it. So he calls her and she tells him someone will pick up her old stove tomorrow .........Like that would really happen. I said no way its leaving tonight so I call and she does not answer the phone He then said that they told him a check will be mailed to me. I don't believe that line at all....so I called over and over until she finally answered. I said I would be there tomorrow for the money they told me I would receive. So after that she never answered my calls again.. The next day I drove down there again and asked for money. Once again they knew nothing about the money and had to call someone again. They didn't have the right amount, but by then I accepted what they had and want nothing to do with the a company that continues to lay to you day in and day. And that is after I paid for it. Very very frustrating. Why lie to your customers, Be honest to the purchaser. I would say unless the item is in the store and you are there with a truck to load it up at that time. it is not worth the wait or lies and the non returned calls. If you are reading this review it might be too late for you. This is the worst place to buy an appliance I would not buy anything from them. In mid January I Purchased 3k worth appliances at this place and right away I regretted it. The first sign should of been the salesman's eagerness to get cash in hand. He would of given the whole store away to have cash. Next the excuses began with delivery issues. Literally they told me our driver was in an accident next a freight felt in our driver and the final one was our driver quit. Anyway it went from bad to worst. We called and went by the place at least 10 times and every time they Would start texting another person and always would tell you anything to get you to back off. We were promised delivery again and again and nothing. So finally we had enough. Went to the store and they threatened and allegedly called the police when I told the guy I was going to the news or that I would picked sign their store with bad business practices because they refused to return our money for non delivery. This was before the dude tried to short us 100 from the agreed price of the refrigerator. There is a scam they are doing and not sure how they are getting away. They promise to order the items yet if they deliver anything it is damaged goods and when you go to return the items they refuse. During my many visits I witnessed several other clients being short changed for non working appliances. I would stay clear of this place they are doing a scam.
