Had a special order delivered to store for pick up. Received the WORST SERVICE. Took about 30 minutes for them to retrieve my item from the back and it was placed behind the counter. Only 2/6 employees (there were 4 computers) behind the counter were actually working while everyone else were just talking to each other (not the best thing for a customer to see). Instead of signing a piece of paper and getting my item so that I can go home, I had to wait another 30 minutes while they helped 2 others that came in AFTER I did and they had an insane amount of small items to return. Customer service needs to be improved. read more

Sorry, Lowe's...you've forced my hand. I REALLY didn't want to give you such a low rating but your service was so unbelievably bad that I have been given no other choice. My apologies in advance, this will be long winded. I just have to get it off my chest while I am all fired up. My wife and I spent over $800 here on a new dryer and BBQ grill (Sunday). Very friendly staff, helpful hipster type guy in appliances (not unlike the smiley actor in their commercials that talks about next day delivery and pick up of old appliance) helped us get the right one and set up delivery for the following day. Assured us we could schedule with the delivery company for later in the day to not intrude on work schedules. Surprise, surprise - delivery company gives the window of 2-6pm. Comcast, anyone? Lady I speak with at 8am (Monday) says that she will contact the driver and tell him to make us the last stop, they deliver until 6pm and I live 5 minutes from this Lowe's. At 1pm, my cell phone rings. It's the driver, informing me he will be at my house in 20 minutes (40 minutes earlier than my 4 hour window). I tell him that will not work, please wait while I try to figure something out, "I'll you right back on this number." I call my wife, who calls her mother, who graciously offers to be at our home when the delivery happens. I call the driver back, no more than 5 minutes has elapsed, but he tells me he just dropped the stuff back off at Lowe's and I'll have to go get it myself or he can drop it off tomorrow. "No way," I tell him, "we just spoke." His reply? "Yes way, no more deliveries today." He hangs up. At this point, I'm not yet furious; still under control. I borrow a coworker's pickup truck (God bless you pickup owning people who undoubtedly get this request once a week from friends) and head to Lowe's at about 5:30 to get my stuff. What do they tell me at Lowe's? "Oh, that driver has not come back yet to drop off the stuff." "Uggggggh, that LIAR told me 3.5 hours ago that he dropped it off." A very nice young lady on the commercial side (Aleesha, I think) tried her best to figure out what was going on. She was awesome and wanted to help me, but their system in dealing with these "3rd party" delivery companies is so screwed up that she didn't even have anyone to call. Spent 2 hours there trying to figure out where my stuff was. She schedules the delivery of the BBQ for Tuesday, sends me home with another dryer from stock. She assures me that by writing on the delivery form to put the BBQ in the sideyard will not be a problem. Tuesday, no show. Came home to find my old dryer still on the curb (I'm sure the neighbors are thrilled). Call Lowe's: "No, sir, I'm sorry. That delivery request was never made." Wednesday, driver calls me to tell me he will not be able to drop off BBQ without someone there to sign paperwork. I call Lowe's, ask for the manager, and lay into her. I'm not that kind of guy, I hate confrontation...but I really let her have it. She took it in stride, they're either very well trained to deal with "irates" like me at this point or she gets a lot of practice from other unhappy customers. Driver calls me back 10 minutes later to say it's done, BBQ is there and dryer is gone. So why am I so pissed? Every Lowe's employee I spoke with was too quick to blame this 3rd party company. Yes, they are the culprits. But In my business, I am accountable for anything my partners do to my customers. Don't tell me it's out of your hands, it isn't. And unfortunately, this "3rd party company" earned only 1 star for you. Pick better companies to work with. I will never trust Lowe's again these types of purchases anymore. **Update, this is great. One of the most painful experience. Do not order any high value items through special order. They are slow, they overcharge, the items are defective.Very poor communication for when the order will be installed. Some of the workers at the returns desk/customer service lack basic mannerism and courtesy.Those ladies treat you like customers are only trying to get freebies and swindling them. They will not listen to you, they will argue back, they will treat you like they own the store and they are paying our salaries. The underpaid workers at Walmart have more understanding and are more polite and patient than these spoiled, arrogant and rude workers at LOWES at Dublin. I do not want to give out names here but seriously I regret giving them business for thousands of dollars in return get only insult and high blood pressure If you walk into this store, ask for a small item here and there, pay and walk out you will not know anything but if you order blinds, appliances, etc which need you to interact with them, you will know the true color. read more

I callled for a window quote at the end of July. I am still waiting for a call back. I have called back 4 times and requested a call back from Jen. I still have not received a call back. Today after calling and having my call hung up on twice I called and asked for a manager. I have now been on hold for 25 minutes. The receptionist has only checked back twice. I ordered a $7.00 part online and chose to pick up my item at this store. Boy what a mistake. I went to Customer Service where there were two people "working" but told me to head over to Pro Services all the way across the store. When I got there, no one was working over there. I waited 10 minutes over there and was told to head back over to Customer Service. Been sitting here waiting almost half an hour now and still have not received my item. If you are ordering from Lowe's DO NOT try to pick up at this location; either have it delivered to your house or get it yourself. This is one of the most disorganized stores. we have been here before and it usually isn't this bad - but after this past trip we will be taking out business to Home Depot (even though it is further away from us). they may be more cleaner but the service is HORRIBLE. while i acknowledge that this doesn't necessarily apply to everyone - but 3 of 3 numnuts is pretty bad. first, we were at the plumbing area trying to pick the right tools to fix our toilet. (we had previously bought something and it does not seem to be working right) - so we pressed the "help needed" button and a sales rep came after a few minutes. so if you don't know the answer, shouldn't you find someone who does? the initial rep called another one of his buddies over. the second guy admitted he did not know which item would work for us and then the first guy's great advice was "buy the most expensive item since it's expensive, it must be the best" - HUH?!?!? we just chose one of the items and headed to customer service. we were greeted by this lady who really did not make any sense. we explained that we had previously bought an item which is not working properly. so we asked if there was a problem with the item we are about to buy if we can return it. so genius told us "you can't return the item if we install it; but if it doesn't work you can return it" WTF? i told her that doesn't make sense since we have to install it to see if it does work...that's when she clarified, "well, you can see if it works but if you actually install it we are not allowed to return it" HUH? there was no use arguing. we left without any of the items we wanted to buy. hubby was pretty PO'ed to say the least! read more

I already knew people at Lowes Dublin didn't now really know their stuff and kinda didn't care about helping you. It's okay since I didn't need their help much. However, I tried to call them to let them know their hours on google and on the Lowes website state they are open from 6am to 10pm Mon-Sat but the store doors show 6am to 9pm so that they could update their site. My first call was picked up by a lady after hitting # (on 2/27/20 at around 12:38pm who said hold on and put me on hold. No sup as i requested, picked up and it went to the prompt. She picks up again and I said still waiting for the sup or mgr. She says hang on and then disconnects my line. I called back and this time, she didn't bother picking it up anymore and let it ring. I called 5 more times to see if she was just too lazy to pick up the phone or didn't give a crap. Either way, no one ever picked up again over the course of 15 min. I wanted to tell them because I walked over to Lowes at 9:30pm and they were closed despite what their company website says. Another person that just showed up too was wondering the same thing and we griped for a minute then went on our way. This store's customer service is not great and prices are too high. I go here because it's down the street. Normally, I go to Home Depot where they actually know what they're doing. How does Corporate say you close at 10 and you decide you're gonna close at 9pm lol. Clowns... And like another reviewer, I asked to have a screen door person call me and they said no problem. They never called me as scheduled. I called them a week later, no one picks up. I go over there and they gave me the same run around despite my complaint. I just went to Home Depot and got the item I needed ordered in one day. I will buy small items from them because they're close but I spend my big purchases at Home Depot. lazy employees make this store very frustrating. they see you searching each aisle in vain, trying to locate specific hardware, and mostly ignore you. if you can find an employee, they usually will offer the number of an aisle to look down, then go back to ignoring you instead of walking with you to locate said item. We placed our order in May to pick up in June- we paid over $2700 in MAY and they called us at least 15 times during this period to tell us everything is in place- NOT. we have printed receipts with pictures of our orders and they confirmed that our shipment was there at least 6 times over the phone! I would give a one star for how I was treated today at the beginning... But a supervisor saved the day and treated me, a customer, respectfully-- as I was being respectful to them, and it should have been an easy return transaction.! The wise alec girl, I believe her name was Ebony in customer service, told me I couldn't return something (a $10 cover that we didn't need),because it was over 90 days. We purchased an entire shower unit, drain and all the valves and plumbing needed ($1,500 worth), but I did not know it was over 90 days. I ask her then if I could have credit to the store and return it without a receipt, and she said no. And I said I thought you could without a receipt, she said no your receipt is old and we don't do returns without a receipt. I asked her again for credit to the store and she said no... I asked her if I could please speak with somebody that would be able to help me, and she never answered me, she just wandered around the returns desk and talked to another cashier, etc. For a couple minutes she didn't come back to me nor eye contact or correspond with me at all. I finally got her attention and asked her 'is somebody coming for me?' She said 'ya', and pointed to a management person who had come to the customer service desk for me, but wasn't told the situation, (and they were wondering why they were called), until this customer service rep who was thin in build, happen to be dark skin color, and possibly 19 years old, ( and I think her name was Ebony, or something like that), pointed to me waiting patiently. Interesting that, management had no problem in returning my item without a receipt. ALSO, a customer came up to another cashier next to me, and said they didn't have a receipt for their return. There were no questions asked, his return was processed and he was out the door... I felt like I was treated very rudely by this girl and Lowes does not need a person like that working for them. She needs to learn that the customers pay for her working there. She needs to be cooperative and/or should not have a job. She needs to be told that there are several home-improvement stores in competition, and if Lowes doesn't get customers then they are out of business... This store has some good prices on certain in store items. However, stay away from ordering anything in their custom window covering department. The woman in charge of that department is nuts. She yelled at my husband and myself, refused to sell us what we wanted to buy, and argued about the price of posted specials. When we complained to the store manager, he apologized. So haven't been overly impressed by this Lowe's in the past but today really pissed me off!!!! I ordered 3 small samples of paint online to pick up. When I got there I was told my order showed up as 3 samples of the same color- not one of which I ordered. So the young man takes me back to the paint area & proceeds to make the samples I ordered. It took awhile for him to find the colors as I patiently waited. I looked up to notice he was at another cash register talking with someone? I was quite confused as to why he would walk off while helping me & then go help someone else. I know he asked several times about one of the paint colors & said he was having a hard time finding it- was he looking it up & maybe this person was helping??? An older man working in the paint area had been helping others & once he was finished & noticed me standing there said " your paint samples are done. They've been sitting on the counter." I looked at him in disbelief & asked why no one told me they were done? I don't even remember what he said but I told him how frustrated I was with this whole order. He said "yes" he could tell I was" & walked away. No apologies from him or the other man. Guess it's not their problem. I won't be back. Just got totally SCREWED over by Lowe's on a large delivery of mulch for my business. Whoever their "third party delivery" trucking company is the worst, and on top of that Lowe's does NOT answer the stinking phone (not even at the Pro Desk) even after I let it ring for 20 minute -- which is absolutely infuriating. My delivery was supposed to be yesterday morning, when it did not show up it was promised to me yesterday afternoon, when it did not show up again it was promised to me first thing this morning -- just got a message that I will have it late this afternoon. Nothing but lies, incompetence, people who don't answer the phone, and anonymous third party vendors to blame. I have always had excellent service from Sue at Pro Desk but she can't run the whole place alone and when she is not there no one gives a crap. I cancelled this order and will never order from them again. They shorted my last sheet rock delivery, broke two more of them, and did not leave a bill of lading... these delivery guys could not deliver a sandwich into a ziplock bag they suck so bad. read more

Lowe's 1-800 Customer Service number has no idea what goes on at the store level. And, it may not be news to you, but, you need an appointment to order kitchen cabinets. I did not know that and wasn't informed of that until my third call to Lowe's. Here's my story... I am pretty good on a computer, so I went online and built my kitchen using their kitchen planner program. I figured that I could then call the store to get a quote for the cabinets I selected. I had previously created a kitchen on the Ikea website and when I finished I had a purchase list and the total cost - No such luck with Lowe's! When I was done with the Lowe's online kitchen creator program, I discovered that program just leaves you hanging - absolutely no instructions on what to do next! So, I called the Lowe's 1-800 Customer Service number (1st call). The C/S Rep. didn't know what to do either and called Lowe's in Dublin (my local store). When he came back on the line with me, he said that I should call the store directly and ask for Louis or Alexis and provide the code number that was furnished by the program to get a quote. As instructed, I called and spoke to Louis (2nd call). He said that he had just started with an appointment. I explained that I had a complete kitchen online and just needed to know the cost. He took my contact info and the code number for my kitchen and said that he would call me back at 8:30 PM. By 9:30 PM he had not called me back, so I figured I would call again the next day. I did (3rd call), only to find out HE IS ON VACATION! Wonderful! Lowe's is having a sale on cabinets and he goes on vacation. But I digress. It was on this third call that the guy in mill works (I was forwarded to that department by the store operator because no one was available in the kitchen dept.) told me that I would need an appointment "because it takes 2 hour to create a kitchen." "But I already have the kitchen plan completed online," I said, "I just need to know how much it will cost?" "Okay, you will need to speak with Alexis. She is in from 8 to 5," he said (it was already after 5 pm). He took my name and number and said that he would have her call me "tomorrow." Now, I wouldn't have minded if Alexis called me to say "Hey, I'm booked and cannot look at your kitchen today, may I make an appointment for you?" I never heard from Alexis. Went to buy a refrigerator and paid for delivery and installation. Had to reschedule the delivery 2 time. And the delivery people did NOT even made it on the confirm delivery date and time. Wasted 5 hour of my time sitting at home waiting and clean out the old frig for nothing. Wasted my energy. First time doing business with them. And will be my LAST. Went in to this Lowe's in Dublin, CA to purchase a few items. I came across this one store Associate, whose name was Rose, and experienced a very unpleasant experience. In my experience as a customer,...I have learned that when a customer asks questions to receive service or would like to receive more information......it's a given that customer service skills, which include knowing how to listen and verbally communicate, plus being respectful to the customer.....go hand-in-hand. Unfortunately, Rose could not deliver as she was VERY disrespectful and rude when I had attempted to ask a simple question that she was clearly incapable of answering in a PROFESSIONAL manner, and rather demonstrated an unwillingness to help a customer. Instead of allowing me to speak, and ask BOTH of my questions,....she interrupted me abruptly in a very unpleasant manner.....and said if I don't like her answer to go and talk to a manager. Well,...HAD Rose let me talk and not rush to answer a question she didn't let me even finish......maybe I wouldn't seem in awe and astonished as to why she provided "some type of response" that did NOT even answer the question she rudely cut off....and brushed off my second question that I wanted to ask and didn't get asked! In my humble opinion, Rose behaved in a very immature, disrespectful and unprofessional manner,....and is in need of training. If someone likes to behave in this manner....they should stay home and not waste a customer's time. Rose was hired to help and meet the needs of customers....not to be rude and disrespectful to LOWE's returning customers! Went there with my son and husband to get some cutain rods and they were all out and barely had any in stock, but most significantly to me every single kids car cart that they had was broken! For being a home improvement store you would think they would have working carts or at least put the broken one away. And non of the store employees would help us with the carts either. I recently moved to Dublin in January and needed a few things for my new place. I went to Lowe's but didn't receive any customer service at all. I then went to Home Depot and again, no service. I obviously was upset, however I needed to purchase a few items and decided to go back to Lowe's since it's closer to my house. Thank goodness I went back because Craig was great! He approached me (which is what anyone should do in a customer service environment) and helped me find all my items. He did that by understanding me and my needs; asked me questions; explained the difference between the different tools and even suggested what tools would make sense for me based on my experience using tools and how much work I plan on doing around the house. He even shared stories and experiences that pertain to what I needed. I went back to Lowe's a couple weeks back and Craig was there again and he even remembered me. Again he helped me with what I needed. Craig deserves to be recognized for the exceptional work he does. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES here! There is a HUGE disconnect between Lowes.com and the actual store itself. I am actually really appalled by the HORRIBLE customer service I received last week when we purchased a washer online at Lowes.com. There is absoloutly no communication between the store, the website and the delivery company. After shopping in person and online at Sears, Lowes and Home Depot we found a washer that got good reviews and that was close to our price point. What got us to purchase from Lowes was that it promised next day guaranteed delivery and set up! With a family of 5 two of which are toddlers; we are constantly running our washing machine. I thought we will only skip one day of the wash which would not be a big deal. The Dublin Lowes called us and the delivery company called us to set up a time for the next day deliver. We selected between 2pm - 4pm. So my wife takes time off work to meet the delivery people for and they no showed! We called and got the run around and they said the next delivery day would be that following Monday. Guess what? they NO SHOWED again!!! We called and the CS rep kept saying "i dont know" & "who did you talk to"? By now, my wife has had it and they offered a measly 10% off for our inconvenience. Long story short, they finally delivered our machine after 7 days of its original delivery date. Never again and I suggest you save yourself some aggravation and shop elsewhere. read more

Last Saturday Aug 31 I made an appointment for Sept 3 for noon to purchase a master bath vanity. I had an appointment with Paul in the cabinet dept for noon. I was stuck in traffic and I called to say I would be 15 minutes late, David in that dept said no problem. I arrived 15 minutes after the scheduled appt and was told by Paulo that he couldn't see today because he had a 1pm appt. after battling traffic from Castro Valley to Dublin I was frustrated and angry that he wouldn't even start the appt. I don't feel that appts should be scheduled so close that there is no wiggle room. In 2016 we ordered a full kitchen remodel, we ordered cabinets and used their contractor to remodel our kitchen. My kitchen came out beautiful! We have spent close to $100,000 On service and products at Lowes. I will never use them for any projects again. Customer service is terrible! Purchased a Bosch dishwasher in April from Lowe's, the Dublin store refused to coordinate an installation for me because I was out of their coverage area. No problem, when I finally was able to get an installer for the dishwasher, late April, it was discovered that it was missing a silverware tray. When I initially called the store the response by the appliance clerk was that If there was not an "extra" silverware" tray in the models on the floor, I would need to "purchase" the silverware tray from the manufacturer. My question is why on earth should I be asked to purchase something that I technically had already purchased but not received. I then asked to speak to a Manager, whose name was Lucy, that promised to look into the situation and to date still haven't heard back from. When you call the store good luck, you will either; a) wait for hours for someone to answer, b) someone will finally pick up but you will be "accidentally" hung up on while waiting to speak to the manager, or c) you will finally succeed in reaching a manager who will promise to "look into" your situation and you will never hear from them again. Extremely poor customer service which is obviously reflective of the poor management at this store. read more

This store is terrible. I order a ladder online on the last day of the Black Friday sale to get a deal. Because the popularity of the item, a lot of them had been sold out and I had to buy it at the Dublin store while I am actually living at San Jose. The payment went through successfully. Then I called the customer service twice to ensure that I can pickup the item at store within 7 days. When I drove all the way to Dublin, they told me this order was cancelled and they didn't have it. Then why didn't they just notify me at least I don't need to drive this far. Now I lost my deal too. I bought a Bosch dishwasher for almost $900. Installed it, and it had an error code E:15 on its first run. When I came back to return the dishwasher, customer service was not helpful and even walked away during my return leaving me standing around wondering what was going on. Just left Lowes Dublin Ca. Terrible. Wanted to buy a replacement cushion for outdoor furniture. Found item, took to check -out. Young man said "no price". We said can you get it? He said no cant leave. We said can you call. He just stared at us. Meanwhile my husband left to try and find price. Two other check out people standing around. Our guy took off outside to talk to friend???? Had one of the other checkers watch till. Hey couldn't he gave done that to check price?? Other idle checker says "you know he couldn't leave". I said yes but he could have called. She said that's true but who knows if someone would answer. I would fire all three of these waste of space employees. Btw. Ordered their item online for store pickup due Oct 4. Still not there until Oct 10. No calls by them to me. Had to call 5 separate times, cut off on hold twice. Previous store pickup experiences were not ready for 30 minutes or lost. This store is run worse than CompUSA (which went out of business). It would otherwise be great based on displays. Worst experience EVER!.. Called to see if what I needed was in stock. Passed from phone to phone. NO ONE ever answered or took any responsibility..
