First time, for an hour I couldn't get a single employee to help with the purchase of a refrigerator. When complaining to a manager he helped. Today wanted to purchase lighting, same experience, huge lack of employees willing to help. The design center woman and her associate blatantly stopped to rave of her paper display on the counter. Hmm wonder if she thinks those will pay her salary. In addition, when asking for a manager customer service hung up on me twice. I called to find out if they had 5/8 particleboard, the lady that answered was very adamant that they did, she refused to check. After driving 55 minutes to pick it up they didn't have it, they don't carry it. When confronted her about it she lied and said she never told me that. We visit and purchased many appliances from Livermore and Dublin. 10-24-19 called and asked for a supervisor to discuss a strange and disappointing conversation with a call Lowe's Center Rep regarding our extended warrantee. An Appointment was made for 10-28-19 service. The rep on 10-24-19 was loud, disrespectful and belligerent. She indicated she would decide if she 'needed' to call a supervisor. In retelling the problem the rep practically shouted that is NOT Correct. I was to call on 10-28-19 to make an appointment for service. This was, of course, not correct on her part. An appointment had been made during the first call. I believe they were suggesting I was trolling for a new dishwasher. This one is not two years old. There have been problems from the first 4 months. We want this dishwasher fixed. At the moment I rewash glassware and silverware after each time the dishwasher is run. I have given this store numerous opportunities to earn my business and each time they have failed to deliver. Customer Service is non existent. Most employees but more effort into dodging u in the store avoiding the change u may ask them for help. i had an experience where my phone was dead and car battery was dead asked numerous employees for basic help and not one offered any type of help so i spent the night or half the night in my car. I had ordered over $7,000 dollar blinds and roller shades from Lowe's. It has been over three weeks since the order has placed, but still no one call me and let me know when will they deliver them. I called Lowe's few times but still no one can give me the right time, just tell me to wait. This is the worse experience I have with Lowe's. I don't recommend this store, if you try to save a bit but struggle with the customer service, I prefer you go to another store instead. Came in to pick up some material for a customer that was purchased yesterday. First guy at the computer looked up the order, called for someone to get my materials, then moved on to help someone else and left me sitting here. Another gentleman showed up and I had to go through the process of explaining why I'm here waiting and then disappeared, showed back up and helped out a different customer with his purchase. 25 minutes later I'm still sitting here with no materials. No one seems to know what the heck they're doing here. You would think that if someone purchases something and has it set up for pickup at a later time, those materials would get put into a holding location for easy access. read more

Lowes in Dublin has turned into the old home depot. The customer service here is something left to be desired. We ordered some patio furniture and went to pick it up. While we were waiting at the customer service desk for our purchase, a young lady comes up and throws a piece of paper at the customer service lady that was helping us, says "we can't find this" customer service lady "are they looking for it" , Young lady " I don't know" , customer service lady " why didn't you call us and let us know" , Young lady " I don't know and don't care". Come to find out she was talking about our patio furniture. according to her manager they are dealing with her attitude . LOL, really? If you are doing an internet order for a small item, you may want to reconsider. We had to wait over half an hour for poinsettias, which we realize now was a huge mistake and we should have just gotten it ourselves as there was no line for non-internet orders. Yesterday we were there for Black Friday, Jessica, Jared, and Jeanine went out of their way to help us find the "Seasonal" Item that we were looking for. They were all pretty amazing. Today, we open the box to put the TV Stand Together, no instructions. I called and Sean answered. I'm writing this review because I was searching everywhere for black disposable face masks for a funeral. This happened on September 2nd 2021 at around 9-10 pm. I called them, found out that they finally had the product. I drove from Danville late at night after being reassured they had them. Once I got there no one knew what I was talking about. BUT the nicest lady ever helped me out. Her name was Taylor she was sweet, compassionate and so very helpful. She helped me go through boxes on the top even. Doing everything in her power to make up for misinformation. She asked the manager if he could do anything to make it a little bit easier on me. Since they has expensive reusable ones but not disposable. He was very rude even after she mentioned that they were for a funeral he told me that they would NEVER say they had anything they wouldn't??? Why would I make a 20 minute trip for nothing? Overall the store experience was not good. But having at least dealt with Taylor I felt happy leaving the store. More people need to be like her and treat others like her. read more

Last week my wife and I went in and purchased a large patio sun umbrella and paid Lowe's 4448.32 in which Lowe's immediately charged my credit card. They said they had it in stock and would deliver on 6/8/14. On 6/7/14 I recieved two calls from Lowe's that they will deliver at my house on 6/8/14 9:30-11:30am. On 6/8/14 at 9:30am received a call from "Marlon" who told me that Lowe's discontinued stocking the umbrella and would not be delivering. And by the way you will be refunded but it will take up to 7 days to get my money back. WFT? This is not the first time this Lowe's has screwed up for me. Great when you buy appliance, but delivery services are very bad. They said that they would call night before delevery, never happened. They just show up. Now if something breaks, watch out! Do not buy appliances here. We ordered a dishwasher from them and the timeline was two weeks from purchase to installation. It took about a month and the installers installed it incorrectly. Afterwards they told us that the installers would come back and fix it within 48 hours. 3 days went by and nothing happened. When we call back they forgot to submit the work order and also informed us that the 48 hours is just for the installers to call and schedule a fix. They may not actually come until days or weeks later. The problem is Lowes hires cheap contractors to install their appliances and they don't allow you to speak to the installers directly. Horrible service. We have been without a dishwasher for a month and a half now. I would recommend best buy which has on site installers read more

Beware of surprise restocking fees! I ordered 2 bath faucets online. They weren't available at the Dublin store. As I was shopping online, there was nothing at the website page for the item that there would be a restocking fee or that it was a Special Order item. Nor was there anything on my emails confirming the order that there would be a restocking fee or that it was a Special Order. When I went to pick them up, I was surprised that they stamped on the pickup receipt that there could be "up to a 20% restocking fee." I should have walked away right there but I still thought I would use them, so I didn't. Uh-oh! My project had to be cancelled. When I went to the store to return the faucets which were still unopened and in their boxes with the straps around them, they reiterated that they'd have to apply the whole 20% restocking fee. I objected, saying that there was no notification at the point that I bought the faucets nor in any communication until I picked them up. C.S.R said that it was in the Lowes Return Policy. I still objected saying I shouldn't have to dig deep into the fine print as I'm ordering. I said that the restocking fee should be noted at the website page for the item or any item on which the restocking fee would apply. She said it was "Special Order." It was just a couple mid-priced Moen faucets. I asked to speak to a Supervisor. She was it. She pointed to a particular item number convention on my Pick Up receipt and said that this numbering convention meant it was subject to a restocking fee. I shouldn't have to know that! The faucets could have come from another Lowes store--it's not my job to figure all this out when I'm placing a simple order. BEWARE! read more

Customer service? Where is everyone in the door/window department? I tried to buy a security door - it took forever to get someone in the Door Department to help. On one occasion, I waited 20 minutes - no one came so I called Lowe's front desk with my cell and said 'I'm waiting here for help', even then it took another 10 minutes before someone came. It took about 4 trips between getting the door measured by Lowe's and having our contractor pick up the door we purchased. Even our contractor said it took an hour to get help when he picked up the already purchased door. On December 24 (Christmas Eve) my refrigerator went out. I called Lowe's Home Improvement who could not find my warranty. Lowe's scheduled a repair shop To look At my refrigerator on Saturday Dec 29 which I paid for because they said it was not under warranty. On January 2, I called Lowe's repair back As I had found my warranty and magically they located it with the same phone number I had given them Twice before. They then scheduled a different repair shop To come out, as they use different shops if your appliance (does this make sense) is under warranty. On December 31 I had the appointment. I took off work and went home, waited 3 hours, finally called and this new appliance repair shop Bay Appliance told me that they weren't coming out because the repair man that was scheduled to come out had a family emergency (on New Years Eve?). They rescheduled for January 3. On January 3rd, they came out, diagnosed the appliance a second time (remember that the first repair shop had already done this on Dec 29). They part arrived 2WEEKS later but Bay Appliance could not get the guy out for another week. On Jan 24, the repairman came out, and the part he had ordered didn't fix my fridge. He told me that he was going to order another part, which would take two weeks to arrive and that Bay Appliance would call to schedule Another appointment to Install it. On January 24, I spoke with a Supervisor at Lowe's (I had a fridge at this point which hadn't been working for OVER a month!!!!), who was not sympathetic or helpful. Today I called Bay Appliance to check on the part since it has been over 2 weeks, and they told me that they had contacted Lowe's on January 25 to tell them that they couldn't fix it. I called Lowes and they cannot explain why I haven't heard from them since Jan 25. They also cannot explain why they haven't located a shop That can fix my fridge. They are, according to the rep, going to start looking today. They said if I don't heard from them by Monday to call them Back I have been without a refrigerator for 8 weeks!! It's sad that a mega company like Lowe's is putting so many small, privately owned stores out of business. I say this because I went today with my dad to purchase a variety of home improvement items and not one person said hello or even offered to help us. Almost every worker I walked by in the kitchen/bath and remodeling sections were on their phones bored to tears of having to be there. I actually helped a customer find something he was looking for. I finally was forced to ask the young girl with facial piercings (didn't catch her name) for help with purchasing some bath items. She was noticeably annoyed. I asked if she could help me, and she replied she can try. Before I could even finish with explaining what item I wanted she said it's going to be double that price and three weeks out. She was smacking her gum in her mouth the whole time. I was ready to just walk away because of how unprofessional she was acting but I found another item in its place and she eventually was able to be of some help (at least). She told her co-worker while we were being rung up that she hated being here....She didn't even wait until we left. I worked at backyard improvement stores in the past (that were family owned) and we provided an abundance of information to our customers. We never made the customer feel like we couldn't help them with their needs and we always offered solutions. My dad wanted to goto Lowe's so I obliged but this location was appalling in service. read more

I used to have Home Depot where I lived but in my new place Lowes is the closest - so I decided to give it a try. Everything seems messed up 1. price Adjustment: They have a strict policy and do not honor Lowes 5% discount on price adjustments. 2. You have to tell them about the 5% everytime you go to checkout as it is not automatic with the Lowes card (advertised 5% everytime) - ridiculous 3. Window curtains order taking forever to come (not yet arrived). 4. Store has too few employees. I agree with most reviews that customer service stinks. We paid for Blinds measurement on Dec 28th and are still waiting. The person who was supposed to come never called and did not return calls. He finally came a week back but has not sent the measurements back to the store. How much time it takes to do that. He should send them in the same day. It really brings a bad name to Lowes. The funny thing is that the service at Fremont Lowes for Blinds measurement is as bad as this. Maybe it is corporate attitude. Too bad. Most Lowes stores are nice and clean and I like shopping there. Store is completely understaffed and unresponsive. I ordered a washer and dryer. Due to pandemic delays, I waited 10 days for the appliances to be delivered to the store. I was told that the appliances would be delivered by an outside vendor. On delivery day, the vendor no-showed and claimed I did not answer the door. It was Friday and I was waiting near the door and heard nothing and got no calls from the vendor. That same day, I then called Lowe's several times and the delivery department would not answer the phone. Representatives said they were sending email messages but I got no response. I continued to call over the weekend as I desperately needed my washer and dryer and no one would answer the line. On Monday, I emailed and called the corporate office. After sitting on the line for 20 minutes, I opted to have a return phone call. The que advised that my call would be returned in two to four hours. When a representative called back approximately four hours later, she told me that the store had auto rescheduled the delivery for 10 days later. I promptly canceled the order and got online and ordered a set from Best Buy. The product was delivered within 24 hours with no hassle and lots of communication from the store and delivery folks. I wish I could rate this Lowe's higher. In the plumbing department I was told the only person that could help me won't be in for another two hours (Was there at 10 a.m.). At check out there was only self checkout available. While self checkout is sold to the public as a convenience it isn't. Nobody was there to assist anyone who might have an issue while checking out. The four employees in the vicinity of the self checkout lanes were standing down further at a (closed) normal checkout stand having a conversation, completely ignoring customers at self checkout. Remember when Lowe's used to have better customer service than Home Depot? Not at the one in Dublin. read more

I never thought I'd see the day when I would have a say on Lowe's. I don't know the first thing about home improvement, drywall, wiring blahblah etc. However, Lowe's is not intimidating for someone like me even when I'm the only person in the store wearing a dress. I actually found quite a few aisles that kept me occupied while waiting for others to shop. And surprisingly, I've actually found Lowe's to be useful when I planned a bridal shower! Then there came a day when I had a "crisis" and felt that Lowe's could help me. I dropped bottles of nail polish on our floor one day and a bottle cracked, leaving all of the other bottles and some brushes covered in nail polish. Having already made a mess & not wanting to ruin ALL of the other bottles, I needed to find a way to clean and salvage them. I needed a paint thinner or a serious bottle of acetone. When we walked in, I made a beeline for the paint thinner aisle and stared aimlessly at all of the options. Finally, a man came by to ask if I needed help and I explained to him my situation and he was so gracious, doing his best to try to help understand why I was here. We looked through practically every product on the shelf, one that could be used on glass/plastic/wood, Someone else came by to help assist, so I had two people on the job working on it! For my silly problem! We found a sign for acetone, but they were sold out. Even though they didn't have the product I was looking for, I really appreciated their effort, patience and having a great attitude when I presented them with this problem. I'm sure these two men did not expect to come to work today to deal with a girl's nail polish problem! Thanks Lowe's! read more
