Should have read the reviews before buying here. Hubby and I were in need of a new dishwasher and we wanted a Bosch so headed to Lowe's versus Best Buy. At Lowe's the first red flag(1) despite it being empty, no one came over to help us and we had to search for help. (2) We found and paid in full for a $800 dishwasher that we specifically asked if it was in stock and they said yes and that it would be earmarked for us and deliver with installation within 3 business days. We bought on Saturday, so should have been installed by this week Friday at the latest. We get a call the next daySunday saying they're not sure we would be getting the dishwasher because they aren't sure if it's in stock! After some back and forth we get a call back from Aaron K. saying that it is indeed in stock and we should hear back by Wed from the contractors. Wed comes and goes and no one calls us. We have to track down the contractor ourselves since Lowe's is useless and we find out that Lowe's never faxed over the request so now the contractors says they can't come out until the following week because Lowe's dropped the ball (3) We call Lowe's and speak to Aziz B. the assistant manager and explain the situation including that the store in writing, as well as on our contract states " Notes: Basic installation of in-stock dishwasher includes installation available within 72 hours" and because Lowe's dropped the ball there is a delay in our dishwasher being delivered and installed. Aziz goes on to say the contract is referring to 72 hours only if there's an available installer to which we reply there was an available installer and the only reason for the delay was because Lowe's forgot to fax the report. We kindly ask Aziz if he feels that Lowe's did the customer right and he has the audacity to believe they have even though they take no responsibility for their mistake. From now on, Home Depot where we have had excellent service and they understand taking ownership of their products and service. read more

My husband prefers Lowes to Home Depot because he thinks the service is better, but I beg to differ. It's about the same, hard to find help. Once in awhile you'll find a knowledgeable person who's helpful, otherwise it's someone just there who seems like they don't want to be there. I bought a wine refrigerator that was pretty heavy, waited forever for someone to help me load it into my van, ended up doing it myself which probably wasn't a good idea. I was pretty pissed since it was in the evening and not a busy time , I asked a couple times for help too, but they never came. read more

I have been doing DIY for over 20 years. The main stores I have been buying my stuff have been Home Depot and Lowe's. I have come across many store assistants who have been generally helpful, either in guiding me to the right aisle or giving their expert opinion. The best of the how-to advice has been at HomeDepot. However, the worst possible personal experience I have had has been at Lowe's Dublin. Not once or twice. several times with the same person as follows!! There is a tall guy in the lumber section who is so rude and unacceptable. I am not sure what is wrong with him. I feel sorry for him and for the people who working with him and for us needing to deal with his poor attitude. I would rather go to Livermore Lowe's or HomeDepot for wood and not ruin my day. I hope the management is aware/alert enough to realize this and deal with it. No doubt, this poor attitude shows itself in a flash of a second. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. I have been waiting for a fridge delivery for 2 days now. My old fridge stopped working so we ordered a new one. It was supposed to be delivered Saturday between 7-9am which never happened because supposedly they one they were going to deliver had a dent in it. Funny how no one called me to tell me prior to me calling the manager (Dorita) and trying to find out what's happening. The first story she gave me was that the delivery was canceled by the person that ordered the fridge. I told her that this can't be the case as no one called to cancel as we needed the fridge. The second time I spoke with her I was told it was cancelled as they found out the unit had a dent in it. She then had the delivery manager (Arnie?) call me. He swore to me that I will be first on the delivery schedule next morning, he even gave me a 7:30-9:30am delivery window and promised that he will call me once it gets loaded on the truck. Never got a call from Arnie. At 9:30am the next morning I called the delivery company (3pd) as I couldn't get a hold of anyone over at Lowe's and they told me that there is no way they could deliver 7:30-9:30am as they they start deliveries at 9 on Sunday but I shouldn't worry and it will get to me by 11am. Was I surprised when yet again it didn't make it by 11am... I tried calling the delivery company again and they told me that due to truck issues they will be late another hour and they will have the driver call me. Since the driver never called I tried calling Lowe's. It took me over 30 min to get a hold of someone who after trying to transfer me to the manager somehow hung up on me. After few more failed attempts to talk to someone at Lowe's I gave up. The drivers finally showed up and oh by the way they had 5 deliveries before me so the story they gave me that morning about the truck issues didn't quite add up. Anyway- beyond frustrated... all of my food is spoiled including a ton of baby food. No one to complain and no one you call will truly care so if you need a fridge in a hurry do yourselves a favor and order it somewhere else. read more

LESS than 1 star... You don't even deserve that. We purchased a clearance refrigerator, and they offered to deliver it. When it arrived at the house, we were told it got damaged after the purchase... the cord was probably run over. We were told it wouldn't work, and to fix it ourselves. It was returned to the store and Manager Luciano stated he was going to take care of this... He never showed his face when they arrived... finally we were given two options... buy a larger fridge that would stick out into a door way or buy a brand new fridge... We stated deliver the fridge we purchased and we would find someone to fix it.. They set up delivery for today at 10 am... as of 5 pm they have not showed, and asst. mgr Teresa doesn't know what to do, doesn't know if or when it will ever be delivered... No one in the place can be of any help at all. Still no fridge, and all food will be lost. Great job Lowes read more

Horrible experience, I placed an order to install an equipment paid upfront for it and now they are not taking care of installation. Worst part is when I call on phone nobody picks phone, in rare case when they pick the phone nobody is able to take the call , store manager doesn't come on phone line. read more

We had been in to this Lowe's the other day to look at ovens. Aaron came over and answered some questions we had. He was knowledgeable and attentive. Three days later, we came back in (evening) to actually buy one of the ovens based on Aron's input and professionalism. Though we had to seek the manager to get someone to help us and others who were hanging out int he Appliance Department, we ere pleased that the person who showed up was Aaron. He helped the people ahead of us and immediately came to us once he was done. He had answers, he knew ho wot order online, etc. He allowed us to leave feeling good about how we were handled. Delivery takes place in two weeks. We'll see how the back of this purchase does. But, for now, thank you Aaron. read more

This place has gone down hill drastically in the past year or so. Don't know if it's a change in management or if they have new hiring requirements or what but the majority of their employees seem to do their best to avoid customers. You would think you're at DMV! One of my favorite examples are all of the folks sitting behind the counter at the return desk. Usually no fewer than 4 people sitting around while only 1 of them is helping customers at a snails pace. A few of the others have finger nails so long (which is disgusting in my opinion) that it would be impossible for them to work even if they decided to but somehow continue to text on their phones while the line gets longer. The attitude is what makes it even better. The "you're bugging me, what do you want.." mentality is rampant there. Management that has allowed this to happen needs to be replaced along with all of the lazy employees. I guess the word is out that Lowe's will hire you after you get fired from McDonald's for being too lazy. The Dublin store is a joke.... read more

Called from INSIDE the store and stood in FRONT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE CHICK WHO DIDNT EVEN pick up the phone as it rang in front of her she said they didn't have the product . This is one of the worst experiences ever. I would give them a 0 if I could. My wife and I bought a washer and dryer combo along with pedestals. It took about a month for the delivery since this was a special order. We got a call the day before with the details of the delivery. We noticed that all of the items were there except for one pedestal. We called Lowes and were informed that they did not have both pedestals and only had one come in. I may be naive here but isn't this the purpose of placing an order? So that all parts would be delivered at the same time. We get the delivery and they set up the washer and dryer with one pedestal. We were told that the other pedestal would be delivered in a few days. ONE MONTH goes by and no status. We called the Dublin location and were given the run around by their "CUSTOMER SERVICE". Their customer service rep kept transferring me and finally just put me on hold for 25 minutes. Finally another person comes on and claimed that she had just started her shift and the person before left for the day. Are you kidding me?! This is what they call customer service? I asked for the manager who reluctantly came on the phone. My wife ended up talking to him since I was so pissed off already. This store is the worst and has no concept of customer service. I purchased some wood fence boards online. The site had plenty available, but the following morning when I went to pick-up my wood, they sold it to someone else! A complete waist of my day, not to mention the loss of income I had to deal with. The customer service really SUCKS!!! They don't care about the customer, nor do they know what they are doing!! I love Lowe's Gardening Center. Today I found lots of great deals in their garden clearance section. Rose bushes for $3, and Hibiscus plants for $5 each I ended up buying a lot of plants on clearance. They had ton's of plants marked down from $5, $3, and $1 each. one of the store employs told me that they only keep plants out for two weeks when they get them in and then if they don't sell within those two weeks they put them out on clearance and mark down the prices. read more

Lowe's - shame on you. We ordered a shower door to be delivered directly to our house. We received multiple messages indicating it would be received on 9/7. On the date of the delivery, we didn't receive anything. We called the local Lowe's and after several minutes (and being hung up and calling back) we were told that the product would be delivered to our a house a week later. That the product had been shipped to them instead. We called customer care (corporate) and they set up delivery for two days later. As to our $80 delivery fee refund, that had to come from the local store. The local store manager (Aziz) calls us the night before the delivery and says they can offer a $25 gift card (for a product that cost over $500). Seriously, this is insulting. After further discussion, he says that maybe he can get us $50. SERIOUSLY LOWE'S - YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO REFUND US THE $80 DELIVERY FEE?? After more conversation with corporate, we get a call back saying that after the product is delivered, they will discuss a potential refund of the delivery fee. AFTER THE PRODUCT IS DELIVERED - so we can't refuse delivery in the meantime. RIDICULOUS LOWE'S. read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH LOWE'S....8 days ago, I purchased a patio furniture from online web site of Lowe's and it was supposed to be delivered to my home for free within 24 hours. Guess what happened. 8 days passed and my items were not delivered. I called customer service may be tens of times, sent e-mails but they all promised to solve the problem but they never did. Finally today I learned that the items I purchased from the web site of Lowe"s did not exist in their stock !!!! Why are you selling products that are currently unavailable or out of stock ? Lowe's doesn't seem to me to be as geared towards the hardcore home improvement as much as home depot. They do have more decorative items though. The self check out area is a disaster! When I tried to buy several large appliances with delivery, they insisted I only needed one phone number for them to call and refused to take down the second number. I don't have any signals receptions around my house and I don't want to sit around hours just wait to get called from them to setup a delivery. Needless to say, I went to HomeDepo, they have no problem taking down two numbers. read more

I have ordered a washer and dryer recently (2 weeks ago) the washer delivery was cancelled by an unknown source. I had to be very firm about getting it delivered. The dryer was given a delivery date a week later. A representative called and said it was not available until the end of this past week and he would call to confirm delivery for today. No phone call. I called and the representative said it won't be in the store until the 12th. Had I known 2 weeks ago this was the case, I would've gone elsewhere. Every time I get someone different on the phone and they say they can't tell by the computer what has occurred. Never shopping with Lowes in Dublin again. It was my 1st & last time with them. My shower door in one of my rental units began leaking and the ceiling in the living room below began to crumble apart from the water. I began the process of ordering another shower door and enclosure at the Dublin Lowe's. Poco, the plumbing department expert, took the order and a great guy, a subcontractor of Lowe's, came out to measure the shower. But Poco could never hang on to those measurements and thus could never order the shower enclosure. When he did find them, he had trouble communicating with the shower enclosure company. Then he would lose them again. I was going into Lowe's at least once a week to complete the order, but nobody-not even a manager had the ability or will power to complete it. They could not find the measurements, the proper person was not there or out to lunch, they could not communicate with the shower enclosure company, or the shower enclosure company was confused about the order, or Lowe's did not know how to order from the catologe-not even the managers, then they would misplace the measurements again. I spent hours upon hours trying to work with them. Six months of this went by while my tenants were watching the ceiling crumble and water damage was destroying my house. I then started the process at the Union City Lowe's. Frose, the plumbing department expert was fantastic! Eugene the manager of the store was equally great. They started the process of ordering a shower door enclosure and they knew what they were doing. Then they both transfered out of the store! The new manager is now Coop, short for Mr. Cooper. The wrong door and enclosure was then ordered, then it was ordered again, but the wrong parts came. I do not know how many times the shower enclosure was reordered. Each of these cycles take between 1 1/2-2 months. It seems like they put you in the back of the line each time waiting for all the other orders to go through just as if you were ordering for the first time. My tenants had to stop taking showers in the master shower because the damage got to be sooo bad. Chunks of drywall were falling down on them in the living room and the water was causing stains in the carpet below. The tenants eventially moved out. I tried to explain this to the managers at Lowe's, but they are more concerned about their damage control. Now ONE YEAR LATER, I am still waiting for the shower enclosure to be installed and my house is vacant, costing me $3500 per month. Hopfully this time the parts will fit properly. YOU MIGHT SAY THAT THIS IS AN EXTREME CASE. NO ! THIS IS THE NORMAL FUNCTION OF THESE STORES !!! THEY ARE GREAT IF YOU BUY A TOOL OFF THE SHELF-BUT NOT FOR SERVICES !!! I have delt with Lowe's before and even Lowe's managers will tell you that a few years ago, if you had a problem with install sales, the manager would tell you to get lost. He could care less because they had all the work that they wanted plus more. Now these stores are hurting for business, but they have not changed their attitude towards their customers. And that is coming from the mouths of Bay Area Lowe's managers. They need to change their attitude and start taking care of their customers or else people will go elsewhere and get first class performance, customer service, and top of the line quality. read more

I headed straight for the lumber section because I knew exactly what I needed that day. I needed to purchase a 1/2" thick 4'X4' MDF to make a couple of shelves for a bookcase. I knew that there was a woodcutting department, so I went over to the woodcutting area to have the board cut to size. I pressed the button for assistance and then waited and waited and waited...I then went to customer service and requested some assistance since the the button was meaningless apparently to the employees, but even then no one came back to assist me. Just as I was about to walk out of the store a guy came down the aisle that was a bit irritated and finally cut the board. Worst service I have ever experienced at a do-it-youself store! read more

We recently just purchased a new home in which we were making some renovations to it prior to moving into it. We order carpet from this Lowe's knowing there would be a lead time. We ordered the carpet on 12/13/14. When we paid for it, we were given an estimate delivery date of 11/24/14 (days before Thanksgiving). My husband and I were skeptical it would get done before Thanksgiving but hopeful, as we were waiting on the carpet to move into our new home. Thanksgiving came and went and we did not hear a word from Lowe's or their "installer". Attempt #1: We called a few times and finally got a hold of a person from the installation department to follow up with the order. They told us that from what they can tell the installer did not have the order yet but we would be called as soon as it came in. They could not contact the installer due to holidays. We told ourselves, well its Thanksgiving so maybe we'll hear after the holidays. Again, we were hopeful. Attempt #2: We called on 12/01/14 and spoke with another representative from the installation department. Let me remind you this is again after trying a few times all in the same day before actually getting a hold of someone to talk to. She told us that the manufacture should be sending the order out shortly and we would probably hear from the installer on 12/05/14 to schedule the installation. Attempt #3: 12/05/14 came and went. The hopeful feeling has now disappear completely. So on 12/8/14, my husband and I decide to head over to Lowe's to speak to the representative at the flooring department. We were on our best behavior as the guys that work there were helpful although, we were annoy at the whole situation as it is. When the flooring guys looked up our order they both said "this is the one" as if they knew there was an order that had problems. They looked up the information and told us that at the time when the carpet was order the manufacture believe they did not have enough carpet to fulfill the order. So the order was placed on hold but, however, they found another roll to fulfill the order on the same day the order was put in. They neglected to take the order off hold until 12/01 when we called to check the status. The manufacturer immediately took it off hold and ship it off. The guy at the store told us expect 5-7 business days for the installer to receive it. He even called the installer letting them know that we've been waiting for this for awhile so call us the first thing when they got it. Attempt #4: On 12/09/14, we received a call from Lowe's installation department letting us know that the installer did receive our carpet. They were instructed to call us first thing the next morning to schedule an install. 12/10/14, came and went. Attempt #5: On 12/10/14, we called Lowe's again. We were not able to get a hold of anyone until after hours (5 PM). At which the lady we spoke with from the installation Department remember speaking to my husband on 12/09 informing us of the carpet status. She apologize for the installer not calling and said she would try with us on the phone. She was did not get a hold of anyone but reassure us she would email and send over a fax to ask them to call us the next day to schedule an install. It is 12/11/14 and we still have not heard from Lowe's or the installer. We called and the lady we were dealing with called in sick. So we spoke with another guy from the installation department who we had to explain the situation all over to and again, given the run around. In all of this, we also sent an input on lowe's website to let them know of our frustration for this entire process. It only upsets us more knowing that this is for something that we have clearly already paid for but after a month we still have no product to show for it. The customer representive who responded to our comment/questions from the lowe's website responded with a chipper tone that would only pissed us off more. She regretted that we were experiencing so much trouble and that it would be escalated to the senior management at lowe's in Dublin. It's been a few days but we have not heard anything from their suppose senior management. She ended the email with "have a great day!" Up to this experience, we have been loyal lowe's customers. However, now we would have to really think hard to want to make another big purchase at lowe's. Update: We were finally able to schedule a install date through Lowe's. There installer still never called us and we had to take time out from our work to call Lowe's to literally chase the status of our carpet. The installation still is another week out. No explanation from the installer on why they did not call nor any apologies from Lowe's. For the amount of time wasted on this matter, I would expect Lowe's to compensated us for doing their job (following up with the installation, etc.). It's your job, so do it! read more

This is my second negative review ever written on yelp about a company. It takes a lot for me to complain about a business. If you are planning on making a large purchase think twice about doing it from Lowe's. I spent a long time (months) researching and figuring out what would be a great gazebo to purchase for our backyard. On Sunday, December 22nd I called the Dublin Lowe's confirming they had it in stock and available. I went to purchase the Allen + Roth Aluminum Roof Black Steel Gazebo and was told they didn't have any in stock and haven't for awhile. I requested for the employee to confirm this by checking for me since I just spoke to someone a few minutes prior. He wasn't pleased and came back saying he was correct the first time none were available. I was thankful to at least get some pictures of the two sets of chairs we were going to purchase. Later that evening I went online and learned that Union City had the chairs for 50% off. I called the Dublin store and spoke to Adam the ASM. I asked if Lowe's price matches from store to store. He said he would do it for me all he needed was to see the price. In the evening the following day my husband and I went back. The MOD told us that he wouldn't price match and that Adam wasn't working. I brushed it off and ordered the furniture from Union City online right there in the store having it be delivered to our house. RJ let us know that there was indeed the gazebo available for purchase and the other employee didn't check. I was very excited at this point because our entire plan was to put the gazebo up and surprise our three boys with smores Christmas Eve. We had everything planned down to the sitter taking the boys out for the day. When the box came out there was a huge dent in the side. We asked if it was damaged and the 2 employees said no they just checked. The traffic was horrendous that evening (big rig closed down 2 lanes on 580 for hours) and backed up everywhere so we took them for their word and loaded the 400 lb box in the truck. Christmas Eve mid morning we opened the box to find out the frame was in fact completely bent at a 90 degree angle. I was very frustrated by this point. We loaded back up the truck and headed back to the Dublin Lowes. I requested to speak with the MOD. As we waited the employee credited back the $1,142.32. We continued to wait for 15 minutes. A total of 40 minutes. With the MOD a no show we decided to leave and make the purchase online. I really didn't want to spend my Christmas Eve correcting some major mistakes on Lowe's end. As you can imagine I am one customer that isn't satisfied with our experience at Lowe's. If I could I would give it zero stars. read more

Staff have been friendly and helpful each time I have gone in. We ordered a patio outdoor dining set for delivery and staff were diligent with calling us they day before and 30 minutes before delivery to ensure we were home. Also had a helpful staff member assist us with finding the right light bulbs for our kitchen- they were very knowledgable. I discovered that the outdoor seating set I purchased went on sale in their flyer a few days later and had no difficultly getting the difference back when I went to their returns desk. read more
