I want to commend Lisa in Dublin's delivery dept. Yesterday we bought a new washer & dryer to replace our machine that broke. While we were at store we schedule delivery for next day. There was a set of circumstances in which the drive wouldn't deliver these items. While I'm disappointed with the driver, I want to commend Lisa in the delivery dept. She helped resolve the set of circumstances that led to non-delivery today. She was a true professional with excellent problem solving skills & empathy for the mishap. I love coming to lows.. I can't always say there's employees around to help when needed but I find my way around to the items. I have to give these full four stars to the appliances department. The guys are so helpful and super knowledgable. , I can't remember he's name ( preggo brain) I bought all my appliances from him and felt he was so honest and upfront didn't feel like he was trying to up sell at all. I knew what I wanted and he was happy to match price and place the order. All my appliances were on hand and were delivered as I needed them... Due to kitchen remodel. The company that delivered was great. I have to say one of the guys was unhappy and tried telling me my fridge wouldn't fit only cuz he had to bring up to second floor ( townhouse) but I told him this is what I wanted and you'll see it fits perfectly ;-) ... It was quit the challenge to bring it up but the two guys did an amazing job not once did the touch the walls and were so patient .. Yes I tipped them This store I really love I brought my in laws couple weeks ago for their new appliances that were delivered today and they were amazed by customer service and the delivery co. I need to update my review on LOWE'S............I found it useless to complain to customer service on their POOR SERVICE...they tried to humor me........On a Friday afternoon I googled Lowe's corporate office in South Carolina,,,,,,,time difference.........8 pm that same evening I received a call from corporate's assistant.........I FELT LIKE A VIP.....within two days Lowe's sent a brand new top of the line dryer to use until mine could be repaired, the manager called me the next day at 10 am apologizing and was told Corporate told her to take care of me.......I received a call every day for a week and then every other day for another week from corporate office...[I thought it was funny, like I was being stalked, in a nice way] .....my dryer was repaired n/c and they offered to sell me the 900 dollar loaner dryer for 250........I bought it for my daughter I was told that if I ever have a problem to contact them immediately. I basically told them that LOWE'S had poor reviews on social media and they need to . take care of business..........social media is the higher power..........I think........ For anyone with any problem anyway anywhere..........go CORPORATE......that makes a huge difference. Good job Lowe's read more

I agree with what everyone else is saying. The customer service is really lacking here. I had to have keys made twice since the first time it was done incorrectly. I had to search the floor each time for an employee and neither said hello and both acted frustrated that I wanted keys made. I also ordered appliances and the delivery service that they use was over 3 hours late. This store needs some serious help! read more

I would have given only one star for lowes in dublin for the incompetent and unprofessional young boys and girls that work at customer service, but the operator Eilene who handled my Purchase order promptly and professionally deserves a medal for bringing my rating for this story to 4 stars! My order of a simple lamp took a whole month to hear back from because the children at customer service kept saying they would transfer me but just hung up the phone or told me my order was delivered. EILEEN WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO ACTUALLY MADE IT HER MISSION TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THINGS AND GET BUSINESS TAKEN CARE OF. Though, I do not have the product I needed for my business, I still respect the professional business ethics that Eileen at Dublin Lowes had provided. Update from Lowes on my Tile order received 3/19 - an order that was placed about a week ago. Oh sorry the distribution center is only now processing your order along with three other orders from the store - could take up to 4-7 days to receive it in the store. Jeez, why why did I bother? Keep in mind this is basic subway tile. The tile lady told me over the phone well hey looks like you need 100 or so of it - looks like the livermore location has about 80 units of it -So i said how soon can you get it from the Livermore location, can you escalate to Aziz, store manager AGAIN, getting 80 from Livermore would help my project proceed. Sigh no response after two days. Fail to understand why one store system can't talk to the other and why they can't expedite orders if it is in a neighboring Lowes. Anyway never got a call from Aziz. My husband walked in to the store today - yes yes reluctantly but hey we already paid for this tile. Turns out he found something online that was available at the store of suitable equivalence. Guess what though - he waited 25 minutes in the tile section pressing that button for assistance before someone came to help him. He has more patience than me. Oh and he saw our kitchen cabinet guy and they waved to each other. Anyway, what was this tile not on display at the store and only available via an online search - who knows? Why didn't their tile sales rep notify us of something equivalent and available and in stock - who knows? Oh I know because of Lowes management and Corporate not emphasizing customer experience and training for their front line employees. Thats why. Aziz told me its basically futile escalating to Corporate. I believe him given the futility I have experienced thus far with Lowes for my major remodel. Sigh. I wonder if ACE or OSH can buy my Lowes gift card from me and give me ACE dollars of OSH dollars - I shall ask for sure. read more

My wife and I travelled 30+ miles to the Dublin Lowe's store on Saturday Feb 23. We were looking for a granite countertop, but there was no one scheduled to work the weekends. We were in disbelief, but we flagged down an asst mgr (Jordan) who explained that they were understaffed and schedule the staff in the cabinets/countertop dept on the weekdays ONLY. So everyone who works during the week cannot get any questions...and I mean ANY question...answered. Jordan seemed to think there was nothing wrong with that. We left. I called the 800 customer service number. They took my complaint and said that the store manager Luciano Yanez will call me directly to discuss the ridiculous absence of sales staff on the weekend. He hasn't called, and I don't expect a call. There is clearly a management problem, and that starts at the top and flows down through the staff. If no one cares about a department being staffed on the weekend, don't expect them to care about your installation, or purchase. The Dublin store is run by managers who are oblivious to customers. read more

We placed the order, about 10 days later a very nice lady called to make the installation appointment, 3 days later Jose arrived on time, professional, very polite, went right to work. I can't say enough how amazing the service here is. The store is clean , employees are friendly , courteous and very well trained to deal with customers and keep them satisfied!!!! I came in trying to purchase rain barrels and found out that they were sold out so I talked to the manager , Sly. He worked with me to order it from another store to have it delivered to their store for my convenience and it was ready that night for me to pick up. He is one of the most patient and knowledgable store manager I have ever dealt with specially in the home improvement stores. He helped us not just in recommending the best products for the flooring project we had for our home but also helped us get the best deals that we could possibly imagine. We were amazed at the service we got at Lowes today. As the other reviews said, nothing like a normal big box store. I wish I could recall the names of the two gentlemen that helped us. We picked up a firepit. One person looked all over for the firepit in stock and immediately checked all surrounding stores. When he found it wasn't anywhere he was quick to get us a price on the floor model. They gave us a good deal and wheeled it to a cashier so the price reduction was clear. This staff is so incompetent, moronic, and rude. From the first moment walking in, I simply asked if a posted price was correct and the employee replied with such an unnecessary attitude like we had unconvinced him to answer our question. Then foreign lady in the garden section was ringing someone up & took over 15 minutes to count 10 rows of bricks that were all stacked the same height (which if you know math, you count how many is in one row and multiple it to how many rows there are) well she re-counted each row about 5 times so obviously waiting & watching this was ridiculous and frustrating since I was only buying a vase. I went inside & walked up to a register, the cashier scanned my item and told me the bar code wasn't working and that I had to walk back to where I found it and take a picture of the price posted & bring back to her (why she thought I was a employee there is beyond me) however the price wasn't posted. I went to another register & none of the other cashiers could figure out how to scan the code & proceeded to say they needed to call a manager, by that time I was feed up, I left & didn't buy the vase. I work in retail and if a price on our merchandise isn't posted, it is DEFINITELY NOT the customers responsibility to find the right price. I have had to cancel three different orders for three different items since they could not be delivered in a timely manner. I went to another site and got one of the items in 2 days. Additionally, they have an archaic, if not any way (if they care) of advising and updating status. "Processing" in one case meant, according to c/s, that it wouldn't even be in the state for 2 more weeks! Shameful. The CEO should be sent packing. read more

I want to sing the praises of Steven in the Flooring department of this Lowe's store. What a professional, courteous, and pleasant young man. He helped me choose and purchase carpet, linoleum and carpet padding in a timely and thorough manner. I had been to Orchard Supply first and left that store in San Ramon with a big headache and nothing but frustration. Even went to the Lowe's in Concord and was told none of the things I would choose were in stock and would need to be ordered. So disappointing. Steven in Dublin was such a "breath of fresh air" and had everything I needed in stock. He helped me from start to finish, getting the products, helping with the purchase, and loading my car. I was looking for a gazebo/pergola and for the last few days have been visiting the store often.Some of the items I desired were out of stock and I thought I finally found something but then I got something closer to what I wanted at OSH. Irrespective of that, this review is for the outstanding service I received from Curt the supervisor and a few others at the outdoor department. ****CAUTION***** Lowe's refund, exchange, replacement policy is worthless; 90 days only is printed faintly on the cash register receipts !!! 30 days on appliances....... The quality of their merchandise sucks!!! I bought an Oak Brass Hinged Toilet Seat thinking is was solid wood. It turned out to be a thin veneer on press-board. The top lid broke within 6 months and Lowe's wouldn't replace or refund my money even with the receipt. The Manager referred me to the faintly written policy on the reverse side of the receipt showing only 90 days! Ok, this USED to be my go to place. Service took a dive and that's an understatement. Floor help is a joke if you can get it and even the cashiers are bothered by your presence. If you like standing around while the employees talk it up with each other, this is for u. Does anyone stock this place or is that too much trouble too? Clearly being mismanaged. I purchased a stove from Lowe's and it was scheduled to deliver on 4/22/2015. The night before they gave me a time window 11am to 1 pm. I waited until 1pm and nobody came. I called and they told me they had to change the deliver time to 3 to 5pm. Fine. I waited but by the end of the day, they called me and told me they couldn't deliver on the day, and they have to schedule me another day. Then, last night, they scheduled the delivery to today, 4/23/ 2015, 12 to 2pm. But still nobody come. I called the carrier and they told me it was not their fault. It was dispatcher's fault. I was wondering, how come the dispatcher scheduled a time without knowing the carrier's working time. What a company is this? They wasted me two days and still no stove in my home. read more

Horrible customer service! We used to shop at the store a lot due to superior customer service compared to Home Depot. We do a lot of DIY projects and are contractors. However, after ordering a garage system online they gave us such a bad run around and cancelled our order claiming we requested it, that we will take our business elsewhere. 6/15-ordered 2k garage storage system. According to website, delivery was supposed to be on 6/28 6/20-received an automated call from the store saying delivery would be on 21st. Received a call from a person an hour later apologizing saying wrong fax was received and that our order is still scheduled for 28. 6/25-called corporate to check on order status as online systems said it's still processing. CS rep called the store and said they will deliver on 7/1 instead due to needing a bigger truck. I advised them we are out of town and CS rep called the store to reschedule to 7/5. 6/27- received email from Amy that order needs to be canceled due to it being out of stock till August 15. It said someone will call in 4 hours to confirm. No one did! 6/28-Amy called saying she is processing my cancellation request. I said I don't want to cancel. She said it's fine and checked the account and confirmed delivery is scheduled for the 5th. 7/4- received voice mail from Steven saying he processed my cancellation request!!!!!???? Called the store and talked to Steven, the manager. He still insisted I requested it. Then went on saying that my order still hasn't come in. If i wanted to reorder i was to place a new order and then he would give me another tentative delivery date. I suggested he calls manufacturer and find out when it will be available first. He refused to do it without new order and another charge on my credit card! No apologies, since apparently it's a special order and he doesn't have any way to follow up or perhaps drive to do anything extra for a customer. Nicely done Lowes read more

Worst customer experiences today! At checkout, cashier was talking to the other employee, I patiently waited, after their conversation ended, the cashier gone and disappeared. Left me and other 3 customers in queue waiting unsure if any one will return! Finally, a customer behind me approached to one of employee to came and help the checkout, that employee who came was clod and mean. As I asked her if there is any plastic or cardboard from the store so I can put the pots in to prevent my car getting dirty. She said " there is no plastic, no cardboard, I have nothing". I asked if there any papers, as a couple of pots were wet. She said "I have nothing". So I said may be there is something over the customer service. As I went over the customer service counter, when I approached to counter asked, before I could finish my question, the customer service said "there is no plastic, no cardboard, I have nothing". Wow... i got it. I returned the $202 purchase and walk out the Lowe's empty handed. The customer service sucks! read more

I've never felt the need to review a Lowe's before, and I've always had terrific experiences in them. Until this one. Honestly, it felt like the people had 0 interest in actually selling anything. I went in with 3 items on my shopping list: a bucket, a floor lamp, and a metal shelving unit. The bucket was easy. I found a floor lamp I liked, though the box seemed dinged up. Then things went sideways. In looking for the metal shelves what I found was a display with the shelves...only I wasn't allowed to buy them. They were reserved for Black Friday even though that's over a week away. I thought about looking for another aisle with the same shelves but then thought "well hey, if they really don't want me to buy these today, why argue". So then I decided to just checkout. Well despite a plethora of employees standing by the checkout lanes, none were open, and my only option was self checkout. Alright, not a big deal...except, self checkout doesn't have a moveable barcode reader so I had to pull the rather large floor lamp box out of my cart and onto the the checkout stand and manipulate it so the barcode could read...which, it did, and said the product wasn't recognized and I should wait for assistance. And so I stood there, watched as no employee seemed to notice or care, and finally decided "hey, if they don't want me to buy this, why am I trying so hard to give me my money", and I put the floor lamp back. I went in planning to spend around $120, and I left having spent $4 on a bucket. And honestly, I don't think they care. read more

The "Help" button makes a difference. They may be understaffed and some employees might be wandering around, but these buttons all over the store will get you one of them and their attention. The automated announcer just won't stop until an employee cancels it at that particular place where you pushed it. Very similar to Target's. Some of their "newer and recent" staff can use a little more training, but still acceptable. The store is always clean and smells fresh. There are enough spaces on the aisles and most items are in stock with corresponding shelf location addresses referring to the displays and vice versa. They even have a new phone app that maps the store and tells you where you can find the items on your shopping list. Their layout is very consistent so shopping at different store makes it easier. All these store features almost eliminates the need for staff help. They have new ideas & products presented and highlighted through displays. They always have good deals and clearance items as well. Their prices are even comparable to online price. The parking is ample and are well-lit. read more

About a month ago my husband and I went into Lowe's Dublin to purchase some roof shingles! We had first done a search on the internet and found that Lowe's online had the shingles we wanted, in the color we wanted and the PRICE we needed ($33.09 a bundle). The Lowe's website said that they had them in the Dublin store so we thought we would go there to buy them instead of making the purchase online because we wanted to see them first. When we arrived at the store we discovered they didn't stock them in the store BUT they did have a little sample of it that we could have. A very nice gentleman named Dennis Holland in the ProServices department served us in the most polite manner I have ever seen. Since they didn't have the shingles in stock he needed to get the stock # and the price at the Lowe's website which he did! After paying for the shingles with our Lowes credit card we scheduled the delivery without even looking at our receipt. Probably because we were so amazed at the customer service we were receiving from Mr. Holland. A week or so latter I was looking at that receipt and I noticed that we were charge $40.29 per bundle instead of the $33.09 that we had seen on the computer screen. So after calling the store and talking to Theresa, she said to return to the store the following day and speak directly to Mr. Holland, which we did. Both Theresa and Mr. Holland explained what had happened, a different vendor was supplying them with this particular shingle so the price increase reflected that. Both Theresa and Mr. Holland said however that they would honor the lower website price. Without blinking an eye Mr. Holland called the manager over (did not get his name) and explained what had occurred and the manager nodded his head and said "honor the lower price"! No arguments, no debates, no huffing and puffing of egos and nothing but good old fashion CUSTOMER SERVICE! Rare indeed for a big box store! Everyone, Theresa, Mr. Holland, the manager, and even the clerk who handled the credit to my account transaction was smiling and truly, genuinely happy to serve us! I have not been so angry in a long time, but my first trip to a LOWE'S store in Dublin, CA, takes the cake. My wife and I made this fateful trip into LOWE'S about 10 days ago. All I can say is BEWARE. Listen to the shenanigans LOWE'S pulled on us. We were in the market for a dishwasher, washer/dryer stackable unit, and a refrigerator. We were met by Salesman Mike in the Appliance Department. He was a very pleasant fellow and saw to our needs, we thought! He had everything we wanted. So the sale was made. Delivery was to take place on Monday, August 22nd, 2016. The dishwasher arrived and was installed without incident. But there was something wrong with the washer/dryer, damage I believe so it did not arrive as scheduled. So a days work was wasted. It had to be rescheduled. But the kicker was the refrigerator. The installers arrived withe the frig. But immediately this one guy starts measuring the front door and the entry way in our kitchen. I mentioned that the new frig was smaller than the one we had for several years. But he persisted as if he was looking for an excuse not to make the delivery. Then this guy says that the existing line was leaking and that they required a shut off valve behind the the frig. So he was happy he found his niche and excuse not to make the delivery. He said I would have to call a plumber to make the corrections before delivery could take place. I wrote down his instructions exactly and I had him read them to make sure I got it right. He said I did. So the next day to the tune of a $206.00 plumber bill I had the repairs made. But COLIN from Above All Plumbing said the installers instructions were ridiculous and unnecessary. But COLIN installed the new equipment anyway and left saying that there will be no problems now. But before COLIN left he had the occasion to speak to a LOWE'S manager on our telephone. His name was J. BORGIS of LOWE'S, Dublin. COLIN noted to me that this BORGIS character did not refute what COLIN was telling him about his errant installer team. As the next morning arrived after another wasted customer day my wife calls me saying she just had a disagreement with some other LOWE'S installer knucklehead. Now I discovered that LOWE'S was refusing to install the frig to the new copper line that COLIN had just installed the day before. Incredulous I went directly to the LOWE'S store in Dublin. I asked Salesman BRIAN for a manager in the Appliance Department. After waiting 30 minutes for the no show manager BRIAN escorted me to Customer Service. Low and behold this BORGIS guy appears. He was already aware of my plight after COLIN spoke to him the day before. But I explained the whole travesty all over again. He made a phone call to someone. And now his stance was a total reversal of how he responded to COLI N, the plumber, the day before. He became excessively argumentative, as did I. I told him to come back to my place and recover LOWE'S dishwasher as the whole sale was off. I told him I will be seeking a complete refund. Curiously, later I went back to Salesman BRIAN and asked about the copper piping. He said the the Installer Company and LOWE'S have a "secret" agreement. Apparently the Installer has LOWE'S believing that the copper piping is bad. Above All Plumbing totally refutes this saying that plastic braided piping that the installer wants use is subject to bursting. I used the word "secret" agreement because LOWE'S and the Installer Company has kept this issue of the copper piping to themselves and never bothered to share this information with the customer until after the fact. SHOP AT LOWE'S AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! read more

WARNING: DO NOT GO TO THIS LOWES LOCATION. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY HAVE VERY POOR COMMUNICATION WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS. When I brought this issue up to a manager at this Dublin Lowe's location (specifically, Michael--the manager from Installation Services) and used the poor overall ratings they received on Yelp as evidence to support my claim, his response was that this particular area within the tri-valley has "unusually high expectations" and therefore, he does not take the current Yelp reviews seriously. Wow--he is a manager and that is his attitude. I'm going to assume, if you're reading this review, you DO take Yelp reviews seriously. I highly encourage you to read all their other reviews--With the experiences I've had here, I have to agree with many of the negative reviews. They have consistently been written up about their bad customer service and their overall rating is quite low. If anyone from **LOWE'S CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS** is reading this, it would be wise to take a visit yourself as a customer to this location and truly experience the awful treatment you will receive once you step foot in the store. read more
