Employee lied to me about offering free assembly, I even had him hand wrote on the receipt that the delivery was included, once the delivery came(outside the delivery window) it wasn't assembled. Came back to the store and they couldn't refund me my money because they didn't have the product back yet. They refuse to refund me for something I never received. The manager proceeded to tell me that they normally charge for assembly. Good thing I have the note written on the receipt. Stay out of this store unless you want to get ripped off. Will Never Ever buy from Lowe's again. They deliver defective products and refuse to take it back same day!!! I purchased a dishwasher which took almost a week to deliver. When it arrived and the installer said it was defective, They then refused to take it back because we "purchased" it a week ago. They claimed their 48hr return policy was based on when we purchased it, not when they delivered it. So they left us with a defective dishwasher and needing to figure out with the manufacturer how and when to fix it. Total BS. I've been liking the store for a long time there's just something about the vibe in there that they really care about the customers but tonight I met a gentleman named Clayton and he walked me all over the store looking for a vacuum filter for my craftsman shop vac that would handle cold fireplace dust -- he got the ladder out we made sure the model number matched the one that handles the coldfireplace dust and I left with exactly what I needed -- a very nice filter. This is old fashion 1950s service from an extremely nice gentleman so I just wanted to mention Clayton and hope that the store recognizes him for the wonderful job he does. When I come back I'll be sure to look for him in electrical and he said he also tries hard to work every department in the store and help every customer that needs help wherever they may be any place in the store at any time. I was given the run around to voice my concern with the store manager Scott, I called left my name and number never got back to me. i went to the Escondido swat meet on Friday night approx 8pm, both lots full we parked to Lowe's, completely unaware of one sign facing the outside of the parking lot it was an area that can be towed. my car was towed and extremely costly to get back. I think there should be more than one sign facing the outside to warn the public. Their selection of healthy, disease free plants beats the crap out of even our BEST nurseries in town. The plumbing selection is incredible for a basic home improvement store. The competition is trying hard to push everyone into PEX but not Lowe's. You can find those odd 2" fittings where the competition doesn't barely have a 2" selection. Do not buy appliances from Lowe's. The company they contract with relating to their extended warranties is horrible, Axis Appliance Repair. We are going on repair visit number 4 and my dryer is still broken. First visit the tech misdiagnosed the problem. Second visit the tech came to fix the problem and of course he had the wrong parts. Visit three was canceled after the tech was 45 minutes late, "Flat Tire". Visit 4 is scheduled for Saturday, 3/12. Hopefully they show up. I do not hold out much hope. Went and waited patiently for the blonde lady to finish with customers before me. I was more than happy to wait my turn when she turned to me and shouted at me "I'm busy with these customers", then in a condescending way she nodded her head and asked "do you have a question?" Because of her tone, I was immediately put off and told her "I did but now I won't ask you." She said "well I'm busy". I told her "I was more than happy to wait my turn then you yelled at me, so I'm going to somewhere else for assistance." The customers she was helping looked dumbfounded at her behavior. I hope she learns from her mistake and treats others better than she treated me. The other people I asked questions of in the store (paint and flooring guys) were very helpful and patient (I even waited in line for paint with no issues!). I know it's kind of off putting to leave a one star review because of the actions of one employee but I'm writing this right after leaving and the rating is based on my feelings towards that specific experience with that specific employee. I genuinely hope she learns from what she did as I did have a conversation with the supervisor. Not out for vengeance but if she treats me, a total stranger, like that for waiting in line then she probably treats other people poorly, so I figured telling someone would be more beneficial than not so hopefully it stops. Do Not Order Appliances from this store! Loyal, longtime Lowe's customer here. Recently ordered a fridge that was delivered by their crew. The delivery men set up and took the box away then told me to remove all the plastic and wrapping myself. Before I could inspect the fridge, they were gone. I never signed anything to verify the delivery or conditions. When I got all the wrapping off I noticed scratching and a dent on the freezer door. I immediately contacted the dept manager, Michele, who said they could offer a discount or replace the door. She asked for a photo of the label and damage. I emailed it right away. She promised to call Samsung to order a new door and would return my call shortly. This was two days ago. Never responded to my emails or follow up calls. So I called the store operations manager, Brandon, who actually blamed me for taking receipt without inspection. I informed him how the guys left with the packaging still on and he apologized and said he'd refund the delivery charge (he hasn't) but the best he could do is take the fridge back and inspect it then redeliver a new one in a few days. Photos were not acceptable proof. So I'm supposed to go without refrigeration for a few days?? What about my loss of food? His answer to that was if you buy the service plan they'll reimburse your food loss. Of course I refused to give them another dime. I offered for them to put a credit card hold for a second fridge on my card and to deliver a new one when they pick up the old one but he wouldn't budge. He finally convinced me to just replace the door and that he'd call Samsung to someone out right away and call me back in five minutes. This was two days ago. He's now dodging my calls. I ordered a dishwasher on 9/11 on 9/20 i got a call saying dishwasher and hose arrived and whoever they use to install called to schedule delivery and install. i scheduled first available for 9/25. The man who came to install checked out my dishwasher and said he couldn't install it because my current dishwasher didn't have an air gap hose or the dishwasher hose that my receipt showed i paid for (was supposed to be delivered with the dishwasher). I asked this man if he had the equipment to install the air gap and an extra hose since my receipt shows I bought one. This guy literally said "no you'll have to hire a handyman." and left the dishwasher in my entryway. I went back to lowe's to buy this stupid air gap and pick up the hose that he did not pickup when he got the dishwasher. what is the point of hiring Lowe's for installation if i have to make multiple trips (picking up hose that should have been picked up when installer got dishwasher) and for picking up an air gap hose for the handyman i had to hire for this ridiculous piece that the lowe's installer was too lazy to install. Ordered a refrigerator online from this Lowe's and it has been the single worst customer experience of my entire life. Incompetence, late, no-shows, no remorse, rude. First, when they showed up to install the fridge, they claimed we needed to hire a plumber and install a new system because they could not turn off our water, so they didn't install it. We hired/paid the plumber, and all he had to do was turn off the water valve under the sink. Completely unnecessary waste of time and money. When we arranged for them to come back to install the fridge, it took 4 times for them to actually show up and do the job. It took approx. a dozen calls and begging for someone to care. Showed up 7 hours late one time, and completely no-showed twice. This meant my husband, me and my mother rearranged our schedules and canceled work meetings for absolutely no reason. One of those times, it was an actual store manager, Aloha, who promised he'd come. He no-showed, and didn't even have the decency to call and let us know. When they finally showed up to install the fridge (with much protesting), they then refused to haul away our old fridge, which we'd paid for. After spending another hour on the phone to get them to come back in the afternoon, they no-showed again. We eventually had to hire a private haul-away service to do their job, which we paid $150 for, plus $22.50 tip. Upon requesting to be reimbursed for the private haul-away service, they have offered us a gift card to Lowe's for $150 (as if I'd want to shop there again) and are refusing to reimburse us for the $22.50 tip because that was our "discretion." When I explained that it was also within Lowe's discretion to reimburse us for it . . . crickets. We've spoken to at least 3 managers at this store about our situation who NEVER apologized. (Shout out to Aloha, Danny, and Zack.) They were universally rude, hostile, and totally indifferent to the complete mess this experience has been. At one point, when I asked Aloha if he cared that one of his customers was being treated this way, his response was "Well you're not the first person this has happened to, a lot of other people have had much worse experiences." I've lost probably 20 hours of my life dealing with this issue by phone, email, and waiting at home in an effort to get these people to simply install a fridge and take an old one away. Despite that, they still couldn't get it together. So please, take it straight from Lowe's manager, Aloha - a lot of people have had much worse experiences than even I have. I visit this location whenever I'm in need of a tool or supplies that you can't find at a Staples or Home Depot. Their staff are knowledgeable and friendly and always eager to help. Had just about the worst experience, I could possibly have a Store. Was rebuilding my house from a flood and came in here a total of two times and will never come again. I will avoid the store at all costs because no one is willing to help you and even when you ask a simple question they are incredibly rude. I'm sure there are some people that are great that work there but the six people that I interacted with were miserable. Not to mention they could've had a lawsuit on their hands when I had the "expert loaders" get the $3000 of laminate flooring I just bought put into the truck. They wrapped it and put the entire pallet in the car and as soon as I started to drive away at 10 miles an hour it all started flying off. They could've killed someone behind me. It was an incredibly traumatic experience, and all I got was sorry we can't go off site out of the parking lot to help you but if you bring it back we can help you put it back on. If I just spent thousands of dollars on their material, don't you think they would've made sure it was secure? Very offputting and obviously they don't care about their customers enough to worry about their safety. I am not a social media person, but I am so upset that I need to blow off steam. I ordered an LG tower with a 5.cu washer (which seems to be the major issue) from Lowes on August 26, 2023.I am Awestruck that two Large company's LG and Lowes cannot get 1 properly constructed washer/dry tower delivered to a home in the course of 3 and half months. Now Lowes tell me it's going to take an additional 2 months to receive my LG tower.!!! How do they stay in business?? I have made many calls to Lowes to find out why my order keeps getting delayed explain I had no washer and dry and was taking my clothes to the laundromat which if you haven't been there in a while, it is costing me $8-12 a load depending on the machines size. ( I do about 5-6 loads of laundry a week. 5 loads at the average $10 for 15 weeks is $750. (my water and electric bill are nowhere close to this) and a day pay approximate $380 I am already out $1,130 waiting for Lowes to deliver a machine that I have almost finished paying on and haven't received. AND they want me to wait another 8 weeks which equates to an additional $400 in Laundromat fees!!! LOWES expects me to wait until I have paid the cost of the machine in Laundromat fees and pay them for the machine too!!! DOES THIS SEEM RIGHT???? The last customer service person was so blasé saying there's nothing we can do that's just the way it is. She wouldn't even get a supervisor involved. I guess it's ok for a large corporation like LG and Lowes to give bad service with no repercussions. It seems they are so big the little guy doesn't matter. Hate to break it to you but I matter. On September 13th they contacted me and said that they did not place my order because it was on the same invoice as the dishwasher I purchased from them at the same time. (I received the dishwasher after Labor Day) So Lowes proceeded to close out my original order and reinvoiced the order of the LG Tower on September 15th with a delivery date of September 25th. I received a texted on the 24th saying my delivery window was between 8 and noon. I was very happy about that so I took the day off to wait for my machine. IT NEVER CAME!!!! So, I am out a day pay and a vacation day NOT HAPPY. I called to ask why they would send me text if they weren't going to deliver it and they told me the Tower never came from LG the reason I got the email is that the hoses were in and ready for delivery. REALLY!! What good are the hoses going to do me without a machine???? Then I was promised the machine on the November 7th, After I called LG and found that they were shipping it out on the 3rd. Evidently it never got to Lowes warehouse because it was a no show again (I didn't take the day off) Then they said it would be there on November 26th. A machine did arrive at my home, but it had a big dent in the back and when the delivery people say OH NO this may not work when we install it. I wasn't even going to try so I refused the order and got a call saying they would put a new order in and it would be delivered December 1st. Guess what I was just emailed that there is a delay and the new delivery date is January 31, 2024. Each time the they change the order number I go to the bottom of the list as a new order. Sorry but I think I should be a priority as I have been waiting so long. This is a bad tracking system because I have had customer service people tell me well its only been two weeks and I have to tell them to keep scrolling down it was ordered on August 26th!!!! They have all the information and detail on all the calls I've made. So, you can look them up if you don't believe me. The day of delivery they called and said they did not have the washing machine. The refrigerator was damaged on both doors. Took forever to get anyone to help. Made me purchase a new one before shipping the replacement (WTF?). The second and third refrigerators were damaged even worse than the first, my credit was going to hell and interest was charged all because they did not process credits after each purchase of defective product. Everyone I spoke to claimed to be a manager. This was the worst experience ever. I ended up returning the refrigerator and buying one from Pacific Sales who delivered a perfect product in days.
