I'm so glad that we finally got a Home Goods in Escondido, because I used to go to other locations like Encinitas, Solana Beach, or Poway if I needed something. There's also a TJ Maxx nearby in the Target shopping center if you need more options, because they are owned by the same parent company and therefore sometimes have the same items. This is a smaller location than the other two I mentioned, and not quite as busy. They have a lot of merchandise still, so you may have a better chance of finding that thing you're looking for. And I love that they have great deals on items, and a larger selection than places like Walmart or Target. I'm usually looking for food items like spices and sauces, and kitchen gadgets and organizers. I also come looking for work needs, like cute glasses and ramekins. Selection of those items definitely varies with the seasons, and they have a great selection of Halloween, Christmas, and even Easter items. I've also come looking for a gift multiple times. There are a lot of great items in the pet section, and they also have the collections of items from places like India and Indonesia occasionally. The line to check out can get long, as this is a smaller store. I've never had an issue with the employees, they all seem nice. HG seem to be in high-traffic shopping centers, and this one definitely is. Parking can be an issue at peak times, because of Aldi, BevMo, Staples, and restaurants like Cali Fish Grill, Primos, and Board & Brew. read more

OMG! I finally found wine bottle gift bags! These were not only in stock here but, I was blown away! The selection is so beautiful. I found two sets of three which is exactly what I needed! Then looking around the store I found a few other items I wanted, not needed really, but they were cheap in price and stunning for the decor I was dreaming of getting one day! I don't care what you are looking for come to this location! It's amazing to see full shelves of what you're looking for! Even prepackaged gift bags or baskets! I've been on a scavenger hunt for Hello Kitty items and stocked up on an assortment of really cute Hello Kitty mugs! They have so many cool things at this store for decorating and furnishing your home. I could spend hours here going through every single aisle (which was what I did actually!). This store is ready for Easter and has so many beautiful decorations on display. I tried to refrain from buying more Easter items but failed miserably. It's hard to resist all of great deals! Home Goods is part of the TJ Maxx chain stores and specializes in home decor, cookware, gifts, housewares, pet supplies, rugs, furniture and a whole lot more. One can spend hours browsing the aisles finding great bargains and deals. Prices are way below MSRP and include many known brands. The staff are very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly. They work diligently in keeping the customer happy and satisfied. They also do a great job in keeping the shelves neat and clean. I had such a great time at HomeGoods. It's my first time visiting any HomeGoods in general, and what an experience it was. As a mid-twenty year old, I dream of classy and/or chic decor, and HomeGoods is officially a place I would go to achieve that for my future home decorations. I've been inspired by their wide selection of cute plates, kitchen utensils and gadgets, lighting ideas, storage units, and seasonal touches. In the photo is evidently the lunar new year decor that is so stunning, I've never seen anything like this in any of the the Asian markets that I've been to around Escondido. What an exciting experience to browse around and be inspired by their pieces. Their decor seems to be on the more pricer side. We were offered support by the staff that are found walking around just to check in, which is always nice. I would definitely consider HomeGoods for my house decorations read more

The rest rooms are coded. That's understandable given the vandalism at some locations. However, why does a representative need to open the door for me? Accessibility: there are accessible parking spots across from the front entrance of the store. If you cannot get one of these spots and need extra room to get in and out of a vehicle you will have to park far out from the entrance because this parking lot is always packed full and the regular parking spots are small with barely any space to get out of a car. The parking lot up to the entrance is all flat ground so it's easier to get into the store. Inside the store is it air conditioned and there are shopping carts to lean on if you need. Experience: there were lots of people inside on Monday (Labor day). The employees were nice and helpful, and the store has sooooo many home goods items you need. I was looking for Dachshund mugs and they didn't have them, but they do have a ton of other great things for a good price. read more

I feel this location to be a bit smaller than the ones I have visited before, but maybe that is good in a way. A way that there is more room to walk. The place is not in disarray too, it was well organized and neat. I don't think the Christmas shoppers had hit this place yet. I pulled up in the strip mall (shared parking) and it was a bit busy. The entrance of the store is not overwhelming at this point. I feel like I wasn't going to knock anything over with just my handbag. I felt comfortable walking down the aisles as well. The only area I found to be lacking in stock was the bedding area, but managed to find something for the master and guest room. I was also to find bedding for our recently adopted pup (most likely he will rip it up, but I didn't pay an arm and a leg for it!) The employee that helped me at the counter was pleasant. What a shame yesterday Saturday, August 10, 2024. I went in there with a small box of groceries that I shopped at Aldi's that morning. So I decided to walk in to HomeGoods in Escondido on W. Valley Parkway.I asked an associate for solar light and she did not even understand me because she did not speak English. I knew exactly what I was looking for and right away a manager went to the front door like I was a thief yes I was not dressed appropriately cause I was working in my yard. So that should not really matter how I looked. They thought I was a homeless person I have been in Retail business for last 40 years and I know exactly what they're looking for. With prices that can't be beat, HomeGoods is always a good decision. It's bright and clean but this HomeGoods still manages to be very cluttered with every inch of space overflowing with merchandise. There are many things to checkout here so if you're looking to kill some time this place is okay. Prices seemed somewhat discounted but the quality is notably better here than other discount chains. Luckily for me they don't sell clothing at HomeGoods or else I'd be forced to stay another half hour.. - Not a place to bring kids.. I went there two times and the same thing happened twice the guy named Larry was very rude and racist. He would not talk nice towards me. He was talking very nicely towards the customer before me but when it comes to me he became so rude and I felt really bad for his coworkers because I think no one like him should have a place in a customer service job. Home Goods Escondido is wonderful! This chain is my favorite place to shop. If you need anything for your house to make it a home, you can find it here. Kitchen stuff (bakeware, pots and pans, serving dishes, gadgets, tablecloths, storage containers), living room furniture and accessories (curtain rods, rugs, lamps, décor), bathroom stuff (shower curtains, toothbrush holders, towels, bath mats), bedding and more can be found. HG has the best assortment of pillows and throw blankets. Practically any color you can imagine. Every HG has the same categories of items but the items themselves are completely different at each location. If you find something you like and are tentative about getting it, put it in your basket and think about it while you shop. If you hesitate, chances are someone else will pick it up and you will lose out. Even if you don't know whether or not you will like the item in your house, get it. HG has a great return policy. Just keep your receipt. If it doesn't work out, return it within 30 days. The layout of the store is nice. Sometimes the aisles can get congested with two carts passing. The visuals hanging from the ceiling make it easy to find the section you are looking for. Most of the customer service personnel stick to the registers. You will occasionally find someone restocking. If you need help, you will most likely have to go to the front to find someone. Everyone is very friendly. If you find a larger piece of furniture, grab a sales associate and they will have a stock person come and get it for you as well as assist you in loading it into your car. HG does not have sales but do have very reasonable prices. I cannot say enough good things about this store. read more

This is a great store for "finds" which begs time consideration before entering. There is no quick stop here. Goods are interspersed throughout the store necessitating a thorough exploration. This Home Goods store is smaller than the one in San Diego, but they pack a lot of merchandise in there and you can find some nice home decor and gift items. I would give it 4 stars but the customer service from the manager was not good. I bought some stuff from their online store, and went to return it in the store. The employee didn't know how to process the return, so she went and got the manager. The manager hassled me a bit, trying to look for an excuse to deny my return. I had to be firm about the fact that I had the right to return the new ununused items in store. When she realized she was not going to be able to hassle me anymore, she gave me my refund. I think she just didn't know how to process the online return, so she was trying to bully me so she wouldn't have to do the return. Nope. The manager needs to honor the CORPORATE policy of customers being allowed to return online items in store. She doesn't get to go against corporate policy. read more

Terrible TERRIBLE service here! Don't go if you have anything else to do with your day. I went in early, a little after they opened to make a quick return. There was one cashier who was already helping someone with a return. I stood in line for 10 minutes before she looked over and said "I'll be right with you." Another 10 minutes and she still can't get through the return with this lady ahead of me. She calls for the manager who comes up, and now sees there are 4 people anxiously waiting in line. Still doesn't do any thing. Manager doesn't open another register or call for help and they are still working on one persons return. 25 minutes waiting I had to leave or I would miss another appointment. Absolutely ridiculous that they have multiple staff members there yet only 1 person can apparently work at the front. read more
