We needed a new toilet, and I knew I needed an associate to go over some of the options and features so I could better decide on which brand and model would suit our home best. I should mention I first visited a competitor establishment the night prior and I couldn't find anybody to help me in 20 minutes so I left. So I decided to try Lowe's instead. I'm very glad I did. I went straight to the bathroom section, and a young man with dark curly hair named Ayman greeted me right away and asked if I needed help. I asked him if he knew anything about toilets, and he said he knew a fair amount and would try to help me. Indeed he did! He answered all of my questions, and help me find the right toilet we need in a manner of minutes. Bonus: it was on sale and much less than I thought I'd have to shell out! First time I got the "free" battery...and was charged for it...had to drive to store to return. I purchased a double wall oven on October 15. It was to be delivered on November 10th. I went to Lowe's today to pick up an accessory for that oven. I've been waiting for more than 45 minutes to pay for my purchase. I requested assistance from 3 people to no avail. This is not a good start for my project. Update: When Stephen finally arrived, service was fast - I was out of there in 5 minutes. Stephen was personable, knowledgeable, and professional. I may have been a little hangry. Andrew originally helped me start my project. He was patient, answering all my questions. Although there was a hiccup with the quote, he handled it with professionalism. The standard Lowe's itemization needs work; the breakdown of the numbers wasn't clear, but again, Andrew answered all my questions. Sterling the contractor handled my home measurement. As for prices they are competitive, but usually economically I do better with the orange place. This last week have found fly traps that have been effective, as well as other household supplies. Their selection of lumber is impressive, and they remind me of 84 stores from back in the day. It's a clean store, and I like finding things easier. While I like hiking and getting steps in, I'm not really a fan of shopping. This saves time. That alone is important. The employees are certainly friendly and helpful enough. In these strange pandemic times, we aren't leaving our houses much. However, since we are spending more time in our homes than ever before -- especially my family -- I'm trying to tackle more home improvement projects. We've had nice weather the last couple of weeks so I've had the windows open. I wanted to keep my deck door open but I didn't have a screen door and didn't want the bees and bugs to fly into my kitchen. I measured my door and took to the good ole internet and did a quick google search for what I was looking for. A screen door from Lowe's was the first image that came up. I clicked on the door and read the specifications, reviews and it seemed perfect and in my price range. I didn't want to go and search for the door in the store and it not be there so I ordered it online and chose to pick up at the store. After 24 hours, Lowe's sent me an email saying it was ready for pick up. I went the next afternoon and I was amazed how easy the process was from start to finish. I went to the customer service desk, gave my order number and they went to the back to get it. Within a couple of minutes, I had my door and I was on my way. Once I got home, I was able to read the instructions and install my door with one tool. Easy-Peazy! My only regret is that I didn't buy this door sooner. read more

Buyers beware of Lowe's very short return policy (48 hours) for some categories of products. We bought an electric pressure washer on 5/28/25. The box was never opened. On the 31st we decided to buy the next larger more powerful electric pressure washer. We took the first purchase back to the store on 6/4/25 and were told the item was one that had to be returned within 48 hours of purchase. There was no indication from the checkout associate or on the receipt at the time of purchase of the unusually short return window. Ordered and paid for 45 single poinsetias on December 1 st to be picked up December 14 th Called and asked if they could be picked up the morning of December 13 th and was told no problem. Arrived at 9AM to pick up flowers. After behind the counter discusion betwee two emoloyees , one being Adam, and my being an invalid was told to sit in my car and they would bring them out. After sitting in my car for 45 minutes saw Adam taking a pick up to another vehicle called out to him and he did come to my vehicle. I was told that they were trying to reach me which is bizarre since they knew I was waiting in my vehicle and calling my home made no sense. I was told they do not have them and they are on a truck which would be in that night. My sister went on the next day December 15th and was told no truck came in so they were not there. They never answer the phone. They sub out their service work to other companies and if there are issues, Lowes will not help you and expect you to resolve with these unscrupulous third parties. Also, if you purchase something online and it is not installed for whatever reason, they force you to go into the store to get a credit for the item that was not installed. On Monday, March 29 I ordered online a gas oven/range for about $1500. In part I chose this because it showed that the oven was available for delivery in 3 days: on Thursday, April 1. The evening before delivery was confirmed between 8:00 am and Noon. So I took off from work. After 11 am I received a call from the delivery service that there was a delay, but they'd be at my home by 5:00 pm. So, I took the rest of the day off. By 7:00 pm that evening we had heard nothing else. Calls to the delivery service were hung-up on in the automated system, regardless of what number button was pushed. The next day I called Lowe's and after being on hold for 40 minutes, twice (once I was disconnected), (I can share the screen shots from both 40 minute holds) I was told that I was never set for delivery on April 1, but rather for Monday, April 5, despite the emails indicating April 1 and the delivery service. On Sunday, April 4 I received a call from Lowe's that my oven would NOT be delivered on Monday, April 5, but that the best estimate was MAY 12... 6 weeks after the original date. Note that I made my purchase, and my credit card was billed on March 29, all based on the promise of a delivery in 3 days... not 75 days, or frankly I would NOT have made the purchase or would have looked for a different model. On the call April 4 call, the customer service rep assured me that he'd have someone from appliances call me to see if there was an available, similar model. That call was to come yesterday, April 5. No one called. In fact (again, I have screen shots and I'm happy to share) I called the appliance department at my neighborhood Lowe's (at the suggestion of customer service) more than a dozen times over a week and the phone I was connected to NEVER picked up a single time. At one point I called the store's customer service desk, and suggested that no one was picking up in appliances. They immediately transferred my to appliances with the phone ringing 20 minutes, and again no one picked up. I tried those dozen+ calls morning, mid day and evening. In short, I feel deceived about delivery. Customer service has been abysmal and my advice to anyone right now is to never, ever believe anything Lowe's tells you as all evidence is that only one thing is done in a timely way: billing your credit card. The Jermantown location is the most incompetent retail location I've ever had the misfortune of dealing with of any location of any chain store. First, I ordered a shed from them for installation/assembly. They sold it to me then were CLUELESS as to the entire process and it seemed like they had never sold a shed before in their collective lives. Having not sufficiently learned my lesson about their incompetence, I ordered a grill and patio furniture online from Lowe's. Much to my horror, this order was "fulfilled' by this same location. They gave me a delivery date and the day of that supposed delivery, they simply never showed up. After an hour on hold with customer service, they told me one of my items hadn't been assembled and they forgot to tell me. This was only discovered after an hour wasted on the phone with their 1-800 number and the third party delivery company they contract with to make deliveries. This store MIGHT be okay if you are simply buying an item but it is a DISASTER if you have to deal with them on sheds or delivery items. Come to think of it, maybe their management are spies paid by Home Depot to destroy the place? That's the ONLY explanation for the awfulness of this location's delivery process. read more

This Lowe's seems better organized and more clean compared to Lowe's Alexandria (VA). We came here to return something we bought at the Alexandria store. The return counter was easy to find and there were 2 employees there. They wore face masks and observed social distancing (with marks on the floor). The return process was quick. The air conditioning inside the store was efficient (it was 100F outside today). We were greeted and acknowledged by staff walking by in the main store as well as in the garden center. Overall I'd say this store is far better and friendlier than the Alexandria store. More pleasant to shop here. read more

I recently picked up a grill at this Lowe's for a Father's Day gift. The grill was already pre-assembled and on display out front of the store, so i decided to purchase one! It was toooo easy! The customer service I received that day was wonderful. I walked right up to the customer service desk, told the female worker which grill i wanted and that i needed a tank of propane. She rung me up, told me where to pick up the propane, and had another worker help retrieve my grill! It took no more than 15 minutes. That's my kind of shopping! Quick, easy, and affordable! I purchased a washer in April, and the sale went great. However, the washer is leaking 5 months in, and trying to get service is impossible!! I came in here today to pick-up some general household cleaning supplies, but I ended up leaving with much more than that. The electrical section caught my attention more than anything in the store, and I found some really cool solar powered porch lights. The ones I have on the house now are all weathered and tarnished, and these lights seemed much more modern and efficient, so I figured why not! I kept walking around and honestly gave some serious thought to replacing the kitchen faucet. I ultimately rejected that idea, because I am by no !rand that skilled at plumbing, and I didn't want to get myself stuck and then need to have to call in a professional. I couldn't locate an Associate either to give me guidance. Door knobs however were something that I felt confident in replacing on my own. Before heading to dinner with a friend, I popped into this Lowe's to return a thermostat that wasn't compatible with my tenant's HVAC system. The employee was unfriendly (didn't smile or make eye contact) and was very much business as usual, but at least she was efficient and completed the return within a minute without causing a fuss that I didn't have a printed receipt (it was an online order). The store was mostly empty and not a popular time to visit at around 6pm on a Friday afternoon. Very unusual for this type of store. read more
