I've been doing a massive remodel for my in law suite and I've had to make a whole bunch of trips to this hardware store for supplies at all times throughout the day. You can tell everyone is trying to make do with what ever staff they can have and even though they all seem to be wearing multiple hats everyone is so helpful and nice! They had pretty good stock, I was able to knock out almost everything on a whole list I was only really expecting to get some of which was super nice, and they all worked really well with each other when I needed an item that was locked up or making paint for me. I came in looking for a few kitchen items, and one of the associates (an Indian man with glasses) approached me and asked if I needed help. I did, and I appreciated him asking. I told him I was looking for a specific model of an item, and he said they could check surrounding stores for availability. Great. He then brought over another associate to help, but that associate said he needed the item number rather than the model name. The first associate repeatedly pointed to my phone and told me to look it up on the store's website myself. Aren't employees provided with handheld devices to look up products and inventory? If customers are expected to search for the information themselves, it would also help if the store had adequate cell reception. I couldn't get the website to load, and the associate acknowledged the poor reception and suggested I walk all the way toward the front of the store to get a signal. The second associate eventually walked away, and just as the first associate appeared to be leaving as well, he turned around and asked whether I have an air conditioner and whether I wanted to replace it. I said I have one but don't want to replace it. He then asked me why not, which I found unnecessarily intrusive. He followed that by asking whether I wanted to sign up for an AC maintenance service. I declined. I appreciate associates approaching customers and offering assistance, but there's a difference between being helpful and making a customer feel pressured and uncomfortable. I came in for help locating a kitchen item, not to be questioned about my air conditioner, why I don't want to replace it, or whether I want additional services. The interaction became uncomfortable enough that I was glad to leave the store. read more

Absolutely horrible, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM LOWES, spent about 10k on appliances and bathroom fixtures for our new house. Oven came in last week, delivery guys ran out of the house so fast after I had to chase them down to give them their drill and the old fridge doors they were supposed to take away. Then I unbox the oven the following week for my contractor to install and the whole bottom was smashed in, called lowes they said because it had been more than 5 days I can't get a refund or exchange, are you fing serious? ANd becuase it's been less than a year their protection plan doesn't kick in yet, they kicked me to fridgedaire (manufacturer) who tried to tell me I'd have to pay for it to be repaired, I finally convinced them to pay for all repairs. I will be charing this back since I bought a new oven not one that fell off a cargo ship and was then repaired by a handyman. Hopefully when they lose all the money on this sale it will make them learn. Also bought a vanity the door on it came in all scraped up, the box it came in was in fine condition so it's obvious it was packaged already messed up. I called them they said "oh it's another business that just sells through us so we can't send you a door" if you bring it back to a physical location we can refund you and order a new one" I explained I don't have a car that can fit it and the closes lowes is 30 miles away, they refused to do anything but give me a $50 discount on a $600 item, so I will charge this back too. I'm shopping around for indoor plants. A hobby I just started. The Lowe's off Brokaw didn't have as many plants as the Fremont location. The Fremont location have more plants to offer and the customer service was great. I was looking for a plastic draining pan and the staff were helpful in pointing it out to me. It's not outside or near the entrance which you would think. They have growth hormones which I plan to use when my plants have more roots growing out of their pots. There are plenty to look at. I took a lot of photos but not all because there were so many plants. The plants are displayed very well and organized. If you need work-life balance, taking care of a plant in the office and seeing it grow is rewarding and takes your mind off work. Plants aren't too expensive when you start out with easy ones to raise. read more

This was my first time ever going to a Lowe's. I always lived near a Home Depot or Ace Hardware so there was never a reason for me to go out of my way for a Lowe's. I was visiting a friend who had an issue with her toilet and this Lowe's was the closest store with the part I was looking for. My first impression when I walked in was this place was massive. It was very clean and the shelves looked well stocked and organized. There were a lot of aisles to go through but they were nicely labeled so it wasn't difficult to find the aisle you were looking for. They had a big parking lot outside so parking wasn't an issue. I actually had trouble finding the part I needed. Thankfully, there was a nice guy working who knew exactly where it was. He was very knowledgeable and took his time to help answer a few questions I had. I didn't get his name but thank you for the great customer service. I had bought 8 4-pin GE LED bulbs a few months back. They each have been failing prematurely. The GE box says that they are rated for 15,ooo hours which is over 20 months. These bulbs lasted 3-4 months. Lowes would not provide a return or store credit because the purchase was made more than 90 days ago. They do not stand behind the products they sell. Spoke with a manager and it was as if I was speaking with a robot - "The system will not let me process a return. Have a nice day." Poor product and customer service. The staffs are not just knowledgeable, they are eager to help . We only have small projects like fix the small parts of a toilet. They helped me find my parts and made suggestions. We've been doing some home projects and have been coming here on a weekly basis for the past month or two. The people here are always really friendly and aren't too aggressive about asking if you need help. The layout of the isle numbers are a bit confusing - they're in order until you get to the 30s, and then it's suddenly on the other side of the store. It helps if you download the app and then find the stuff you need on the app. Then it will tell you which isle and bay number to find your item in. The prices have been pretty good, not too far off from Amazon and it's nice to be able to go grab some screws or washers immediately when you need them. Also if you use the app when you check out, you don't need to hold onto your receipt for returns! They also have a locker for pick ups if you order online. read more

I have always prefered Lowes to Home Depot. Twice now while going into the store for a simple purchase I have gotten the hard sell from some guy trying to get me to put solar on my roof. Usually a simple no thank you is enough. Easy to navigate. We found what we needed in the isle right after the garden center. We were in and out in minutes. Parking is plentiful. They have their own private lot and right off the freeway. You can see their sign as you drive down the freeway. It's an easy in and out. The bathroom is really nice. You really have to put on the door to close and lock it. This has to be one of the worst lowes that I have ever been too. And that is too bad because this is the closest lowes to my house. My husband came here on a Sunday to get wood to cut for a small project for the house. We ask the person near the front to get us someone to cut the wood for us. They told us no problem. We get someone there right aways. After like 10 min waiting, and no one showed up, my husband went to the front to ask the associate about the wood cutting. I heard them call over the the PA system. After waiting, same thing would happen. Walk to the front and call for someone just to have no one show up again. After the 4th time. We have almost been waiting for 1 hour. I mean I get it that staffing might be short or that there might have no one available. But just tell us and that we will go in with our life. But the person in the front keep saying there is someone. Heck even if they were on lunch. They would have been back already. I would stop shopping at this lowes and this just completely wasted our time. After waiting for a whole hour, we decided to leave as this just doesn't make any sense. 1 hour wasted and still didn't have the wood to do our weekend project. What a shame. read more

The service at Lowe's compared to the nearby Home Depot is simply night and day. Every time I enter Lowe's I'm greeted by an employee asking if I needed help. Yesterday I had to rush over to find a replacement for a leaking water pressure regulator. When I arrived Paul and Andy approached me right away to help. Initially we couldn't find the same part based on my grainy photo, and the Lowes app didn't have it either, but they, together with Jean Pierre and another gentleman eventually found it in a bottom shelf. Jean Pierre even examined it closely and made sure I had the necessary adaptors included in the package. Sure enough, I got home and it took 5 minutes to replace the part. Plenty of parking. Garden selection is pretty good. Service is usually meh, but today I felt different and it felt really nice. Someone immediately caught us at the front and asked if we were here for the kids building event. We said no, but she said there's extra kits and we should check it out. Apparently they do this every month. Free for kids. Sign up online. They'll give you a kit and goggles. They have an area where your kids get to learn how to build something. They come with instructions and someone is there to help out if you need anything. The service today was great and they were all friendly. If you have a child, I'd suggest checking out one of these monthly events. read more

Jose has been my go-to guy for the rest of the store. He has helped me find the right products for my project or connect me with an expert to do so. The staff here overall make it a good experience for me each time I have to stop in for something or to resolve some sort of home improvement crisis. ha! read more

This is a nice location of Lowe's! I like going to Lowe's for home improvement products and what-not because on their website, they tell you exactly what aisle and bay to find it. For a lady like me who doesn't exactly like going to hardware stores, this worked really nicely for me. I needed new LED light bulbs for my bathroom and I was able to search for them online beforehand. Made my shopping experience here nice and convenient. Also, they have plenty of self check-out machines, so paying is quick too. May I also note their garden section is lovely! Lots of flowers and plants. I took my mom here earlier this year for Mother's Day to pick out a new succulent :) That was actually pretty fun. Finally, staff is friendly here. Typical big box store. Have been here many times over the years with mixed outcomes, sometimes they have what I need sometimes they don't. They carry a myriad of items. From appliance's, lumber, electrical, tools, pool supplies and a pretty decent garden dept. This store is pretty organized with good signage therefore relatively easy to find what you're looking for... Usually they have better service than the other big box store in the area. Today was an exception it was hard to find anyone, but during this Covid19 pandemic I'm gonna cut them some slack... are they short staffed?? Idk?! Today I was looking at mailboxes for my dad who needs a lockbox, I've had a locking mailbox for year's due to the thieving porch pirates. Although I have never been hit (thankfully). I Seen a few good one's but not the same size I wanted. So if I don't find what I'm looking for I will be back. I have been here many times and know the store pretty well. So it's usually in & out pretty quick. Prices are pretty competitive and they have a good selection. Like any store they may be out sometimes and need to restock. I found some great deals in the lighting department. Tabletop lamps with paper lampshades $5 each on sale. And a beautiful clearance lamp marked down from $75 to $20...SCORE! Lowe's left me stranded with a $300+ disaster and zero accountability! I purchased the 2.5 car garage RockSolid Garage Floor Coating Kit in Dark Gray from Lowe's around noon. This kit, which costs over $300, was supposed to include two matching bags of polycuramine coating along with accessories. Since this product sets quickly, it's crucial to use one bag at a time to ensure even coverage. Excited to finish our garage floor project, we started immediately. The first bag covered half of our garage floor. But when we opened the second bag, we were stunned--the color was completely different! After checking closely, we discovered the first bag was "Gray" instead of the "Dark Gray" color that was supposed to be in the kit. Panicked, as we now had a half-finished garage and drying coating, we rushed back to Lowe's with the second bag (opened but unused) and the accessories (all unopened) to seek help. At this point, we weren't even picky--whether it was an exchange or a refund, we just wanted a solution so we could finish our project. Instead, we were met with complete indifference. The customer service team called over someone who seemed to be the manager. Without much discussion or care, he bluntly repeated multiple times: "You need to contact the manufacturer. This is not our problem. We sell you the box, that's all." For a purchase of over $300, this response was insulting and unacceptable. As a retailer, Lowe's has a responsibility to ensure the products they sell match their descriptions. Pushing all accountability onto the manufacturer is unprofessional and dismissive, leaving us stranded with an unfinished floor and a completely unusable kit. After leaving the store, I decided to call Lowe's customer service hotline, hoping for a better response. The phone representative, to their credit, listened to the situation carefully. They seemed surprised and even mentioned that at the very least, we should have received partial compensation for the opened and unused kit. They explained that since the purchase was made in-store, they couldn't intervene directly, but promised to escalate the issue with the store and call me back. But guess what? That call never came. Not a single follow-up. This experience has been a complete disaster from start to finish. Lowe's not only failed to provide a resolution, but they also wasted our time and left us stuck with a mismatched and incomplete project. To anyone reading this, beware of shopping at Lowe's. If something goes wrong, don't expect accountability, support, or even basic courtesy. This will absolutely be my last time shopping at Lowe's. At the Fremont Lowes I tried to return an item (small table) with a receipt, undamaged, not a special order, unused and within 4 days of purchasing it. There was no mention on the item's price sticker, on my receipt, or listed in the non-refundable items posted on Lowe's return policy that this item was not returnable. However, the Karen-attitude woman manger said it was not returnable and even showed me the evidence on her computer screen that showed the item had a value of zero. I left with the Item, went to the San Jose Lowes and got a refund in less than 1 minute. Lowes Corporate management needs to fix the BS that happens at this store. So you just don't have shopping carts and more specifically Sheetrock carts? I literally just walked through the entire store trying to buy a bunch of GoBoards and there were no carts anywhere. I had to carry the stuff I wanted around in buckets until I was able to find the one Sheetrock cart that was available. My husband and I came to this Lowes looking for kitchen cabinet handles. We were able to find what we needed but we were short 3. We asked the help of a Lowe's employee by the name of Gloria who works in that department. Gloria was so helpful and took the time to assist us even though she is busy stocking and doing inventory. She asked for my name and number and would call me the next day if she finds the handles we needed. The next day I received a call from Gloria and told me she only found one more handle but will keep looking if we still need more. Gloria went over and beyond her duties. Great customer service! Salma is my contact at the Pro Desk, and she is incredibly helpful, always takes my calls by the second ring, and gathers what I need while I am driving in to come get it so that I spend as little time there as possible. I broke down and went to Homer's store, the orange one tonight because they're right around the corner from me, and I got truly awful, undeservedly BAD customer service. That's why I drive 15 minutes south and out of my way to go to a clean store staffed by happy people who are usually happy to see me and unusually helpful. read more

She found the item and offered me to put it in the customer service desk. WOW!!!!! This is what customer service is all about. It's been a little bit of time since I wrote a review here. So let's do an update shall we? L O C A T I O N Since last...it hasn't moved (LOL). If you think of Pacific Commons as a grid coming from 880. It's in the second set of shops and you can turn on the first or second light after you get off of 880. It's in the same plaza with Panera, Claim Jumpers, and iTea (cause you know I do things based on boba locations, if there is one!). There's a large parking lot here so not real hard to find parking since it's the main shop here. C O V I D P R O T O C O L There's places to stand for check out that's 6 ft apart. There are hand sanitizing stations when you enter, but not really anyone to enforce anything at the front that I noticed. I T E M S You can't really trust the inventory specified on the website. So if you're really needing something, call the store to make sure it's really there. We were there to pick up some shoe covers. On the website it said there were 7 pairs, when we arrived there were only 2 pairs. But this place is clean, well organized. Similar feel to Home Depot to be honest and we've been to Home Depot a lot. Though I feel like less people are here than at Home Depot. So maybe come here if you're feeling like not needing to dodge people left and right. Okay it's not THAT bad at Home Depot. But it's definitely a lot more folks in Home Depot. C H E C K O U T No Apple Pay which is a bummer. Even the person at the register was sad that they don't have it because of all the COVID issues you would think that would be something they'd invest in. Plexiglass separates you and the person at the register. O V E R A L L As many Lowes, it's the same for me. Good to get what you need for your home improvement needs. I don't quite understand how they number the isles. Isle 1 started close to the center of the store entrance. Isle 22 is all the way to the right side of the store entrance. And the isles are vertically labeled. However, isle 23 started to the left of the store entrance horizontally down to the back on the left side of the store. I was very confused when I was looking for an item needed that day. In addition, it was during a week day morning, all of the check outs there automated, the items I had (concrete blocks) didn't have any scan bar codes. I had to flag down the cashier who was manning the self checkout. read more

I buy quite a lot from Lowe's. Apparently according to lady manager the company policy has changed to not rerun any item if you don't have receipt. Less the complication I had with the proof of purchase she would not take it back regardless item being a Lowe's brand with the sicker and all. As a MVP member it did not matter. I can understand maybe they do this due to people abusing the return policy but in my case item was perfectly in order and could have been restocked with no issue. Additionally I was going to buy more of it. In this case I am not sure as a customer I should e treated like I was. Maybe time to take the business somewhere else.
