The Appliances Associate on duty Angela, is an excellent ambassador to the Lowe's Corporation. She is extremely knowledgeable, effective, and engaging with customers. She should be given the immediate opportunity for leadership and advanced training. (She is 2 stars of this review). She guided us to the products we wanted, and we bought, without any hesitation or concern, based on her consultation a washer/dryer, and refrigerator. We got good reputation products at a very fair price. I have been to Lowe's often in the past, and usually leave with something I wanted/needed. I did however feel alone and uncared for, unsupported in my purchase. Even if an associate helped in some way, they weren't knowledgeable or pleasant about it. I wish we would have seen the rest of the 1 star customer service reviews before ordering our fridge from here. Their management team was an absolute joke in helping us with a damaged delivery and eventually promised a discount when the new fridge arrived. Then for 5 days I got bounced around to over 15 different people between the warehouse, different customer service reps, different lowes employees, and different managers all saying that the next person can surely help us only to be told by that next person they in fact could not help. I wanted to rip my hair out by the end of the week. Emailed corporate who responded that the store higher ups would be calling us in 24 hours. They never did. We won't be returning. I don't really like going to any hardware, lumber store, but this place usually has what you need. It's hard to find help sometimes, but I usually can find what I Need by myself. I do love how many Christmas decorations they carry and Halloween too. In the spring they have lots of flowers, trees and bushes. It always seems clean and organized. I am a person who does not like checking myself out, so I hope they don't go completely to that. I always get my paint here, they have a great selection of colors. I like the store. However, I would give some serious thought before purchasing any appliances from any Lowe's. As many people understand many appliances are not built to last and will need service at some point. Purchased the extended service plan for a washer and dryer and had the drain pump stop working. Called in to the service line on 08.05.2025. Was offered one date at that was 08.12.2025 from 0800 to 1700 (You will have to be home all day, no exceptions.) The tech arrived at 1400 and noted that the drain on the washer would need to be replaced. Proceeded to order the drain and scheduled a follow up appointment on 08.22.2025 from 0700 to 1600 (Only option available). After taking yet another day off on 08.22.2025 no technician arrived or called. The automated system that had been texting me all week finally notified me that the appointment was cancelled and that I needed to reschedule. This appointment was rescheduled for 09.05.2025 from 0800 to 1700. The technician did arrive on this date at 1330 and asked me where the part was to be installed? My reply was how would I have the part? The tech noted that the part was to be delivered to the address of the work order (Who knew?) The tech also noted that this was the third call this day that failed to have the part delivered. The part was reordered and an additional follow up appointment was scheduled for 16 September 2025 from 0700 to 1600. Surprise, the AI system notified me that the tech would be unable to arrive and that I needed to reschedule, AGAIN. At this point I was able to order the part on Amazon $32.00 and install myself. Even though I had paid hundreds of dollars for the service warranty, and spent hundreds of dollars on going to the laundromat. Here is where it gets interesting received a notification that since I did not reschedule from that last appointment I could either return the pump or pay for the service fee for the prior appointment. So not only did I have to fix the washer myself I now had to return the part already sent or pay Lowe's a fee. So after rescheduling the appointment and talking to multiple people an appointment was scheduled for 10.17.2025. Wouldn't you know it after taking another day off work the tech did not show up and I was notified that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. Then I scheduled the final appointment for 10.22.2025, ELEVEN weeks after the initial claim was filed. The tech showed up and closed the ticket. Now I attempted through this whole process to talk to anyone about the TOTAL LACK of CUSTOMER SERVICE by Lowe's. Between Lowe's, Sears (the subcontractor) and finally A&E services (the tech) no person really did anything. All I got was were sorry and please reschedule. When I did talk to a person asking WHY is this costing me money when I already paid for a service that I have not received? I received the response "We will escalate this and have someone reach out in two to five business days." NO ONE ever did and no one cared. SO while I enjoy the Lowe's store - they really don't care about following there own rules. In the future I will probably buy from a local dealer that I know and trust. So good luck and just know that the customer service here is exactly what you would expect. You do have choices and I saved about $200 on the washer and dryer but this one event cost me thirty dollars a week for nine weeks, plus my time, effort and stress. Really not worth it. FYI if you want to consider this a one time bad luck scenario for me. I also had a similar experience with my ice maker on my refrigerator with a complete different vendor that took about seven weeks to be repaired. I considered asking myself what could have Lowe's down to make this easier or better. While I kept up my end of the agreement at the end of the day after the second or third week this should not have continued to come out of my pocket. Never again, that sums it up. JOE! What a JOkE! The customer service we received from Lowe's was horrible. Thank god for the delivery drivers. I've never experienced such poor customer service. I was patient and understanding but being told our refrigerator could be signed off by someone other than the person whose name the order was placed in was wrong. Then to be told it would be returned and money back after 7-10 days, at which point we could replace our order and then they could edit our delivery address and not put it in the "note" section was wrong. We are very thankful the delivery driver called us to make sure we were home. Which was not the correct address. They came to our new residence and were more than helpful. The worst experience I have ever had. Found a decent deal on replacing garage door openers and got drug into a feud between the installers and the mega chain. No one will call me back, including Paul Claussen, the store manager. Call the store and "accidentally" get disconnected. This story is almost impossible to believe. I am ashamed that I ever bought anything from this store. The worst of the worst. Everyone is buying everything online yet I believe in brick and mortar stores. My belief is fading fast. Just like any big-box store, it comes down to whether or not you get lucky enough to run into the right employee. One time, I tried to bring back a dead tree. They have a 1-year policy, so I had lost the receipt by the time I took it back, BUT I had put it on my lowe's card. They couldn't seem to find the transaction, but offered me an exchange (great, that's what I wanted) so they called in some guy supposedly from the garden center who claimed that the 12' tree I brought in was one of the SMALL ones, meaning they wanted to offer me an exchange worth less than half of what the tree was worth. Thanks for nothing! However, on another occasion, I had left some marigolds sitting on the top of my car when I drove off. I realized this and retraced my route, but no luck. So I went back to the store to buy new ones, and an employee, Kola, came up to me and asked if I was the person who had left marigolds in the parking lot. I said yes. He had found them and saved them for me. Lastly, this location specifically is pretty good about discounting dying plants if you want to/know how to nurse them back to life. This is especially nice for getting perrenials on the cheap! read more

We just moved here from LA, the associates at Lowes were really nice and helpful. But their delivery service is TERRIBLE. We ordered a washer and dryer that was supposed to be delivered between the hours of 2:30-6:30 pm Wednesday. We call at 5 pm and they said we were delivery # 13 and they were on #11. 8:30 pm rolls around and still nothing. So we call them and the customer service associate said they did stop at our residence, couldn't deliver it bc there was a car blocking the driveway, rang it in as "delivered" and left. Here we are the next day 8 am I'm calling and the delivery manager said he gave my phone number to the other manager and they will "call me back to reschedule" Absolutely ridiculous. read more

This review is for two experiences with Lowes that involved assembly or installation of Items purchased there. The first was a grill. I purchased it and opted for assembly and delivery. I paid for the grill online and scheduled the delivery of it assembled. The day it was to be delivered, I received a call from the store to tell me that the assemblers did not show up and it would be another week. I was frustrated because it seemed odd that they would assemble and deliver it the same day as I live about an hour away from the store. The next week, the day before the rescheduled delivery, I was called again with the exact same excuse. This time the person calling tried to make it sound like my fault for picking that day as the assemblers were only there on certain days and this was all my fault for not knowing those days. This time I asked to speak with the department manager and was transferred to a dead extension, However, my grill did show up two days later. I am still trying to figure out how the igniter works, but at least it's here. My second and last experience with this Lowes was a toilet purchase and installation on 6/4. The next available install date was July 1st. I didn't like that I was informed of that AFTER I purchased the toilet, but I have 3 bathrooms so I figured we'd survive. The day before my scheduled installation I received a text saying that the installer called off and My installation would be the following week. In an attempt to keep this shorter, I'll just say that happened four more times, until I received a text saying that they cancelled my order. I had no way of contacting the installation team and my several calls to the store were transferred around until I gave up and cancelled the order online. After spending many thousands of dollars on tools at Lowes, they lost a customer for life. read more

This week, I shopped for and purchased a new dishwasher, first visiting the store to view, then using the helpful "compare" feature on the website, then back to the store for final viewing, questions answered and tips given by a sales associate, then purchase finalized. On March 14, 2020, I purchased mixed paint from the Glen Carbon, IL Lowes. When I arrived home (3 miles, 2 turns) a gallon of paint was all over my new SUV cargo area. They did not secure the lid on the gallon correctly. I filed an incident report, talked to several "managers" and nothing happened. Then I contacted the claims department. The estimated repair bill is $4200.00. Lowes is saying the are not at fault and it was my driving that made a lid come off of a gallon of paint. I will never buy anything from Lowes again, and would encourage others not to as well. Oh, the customer service employees lie. Within 5 minutes, they told me that the manager was with a customer, not there in the building, and in a meeting. When I walked into the stores and demanded to talk to Paul, they were caught. in 2016 I walked into this location thinking I wanted to buy a Dewalt impact driver. I found a better deal with Hitachi. Sense what I am doing is small potatoes (light woodworking and home repair) I bought a set. As expected the batteries are wearing out so on June 17 2022 I went in looking for Hitachi replacement batteries and expecting prices to be ridiculous. I found not Hitachi but Metabo. A quick google search from my smartphone confirmed that it's the same brand with different names. The sales guy came to assist me to get the security lock off of the batteries. I explained that I had hitachi tools and needed new batteries. Not listening to his custome he tried to explain that they weren't the same brand. He also tried to get me to go with a brand that I absolutely despise. I told him that no I really wanted to just keep the tools I love and get a battery for them. Needless to say I left a loaded cart Lowe's this night and will not be going back there again. Side note I hopped over to Home Depot next door and their sales guy asked me how he could help. When I told him the story above he smiled and sighed "yeah that tool guy over at Lowe's sells a lot of power tools for us here at Home Depot." I know it's a line, but it's exactly how I felt that evening. You would think in a world where big box stores are trying to compete with delivery services one of the things you would really focus on is in-store customer service. read more

I called customer service three times and they all gave me the run around by asking me to call this number and that number. No one knows where my oven is now. I am livid. Ordered some appliances online for delivery. Delivery was scheduled a week after I paid. Not great, but OK. The day came (Saturday), and no delivery. Called the Maplewood, MO store (where it was supposed to come from). Seenms they cancelled it without telling me. After sputtering about "thid party" delivery, the Assistant Manager I spoke with apologized and asked if it would ne OK to delivery on Monday (today). I had no choice really. So I said fine. The day comes. Find out they rescheduled for tomorrow. Called the Maplewood store. The Assistant Manager (named "Andre") kept blubbering on about the third party delevery thing. I told him I didn't care about this. Their problem really. I said I'd just cancel the payment. He said, "you want me to cancel it." In the moment, I said yes. He hung up on me. While Home Depot is a little more convenient for me and their customer service is better, this Lowes is a full-size facility with more choices. Personally, I have experienced no service issues at Lowes and I have always found the items I need. The store is stocked, organized and well maintained (but the exterior blue is fading). I do suggest comparing prices before purchasing at either Lowes or Home Depot. read more

I ordered a new refrigerator 2 weeks ago and I was told it would be delivered on October 22 between 9 am and 9 pm. I contacted customer support October 21 and told I would receive the refrigerator at 9 am October 22. So the next day no waited till 11 am and called the store it was supposed to come from. I was assured it be on the afternoon truck. At 2 pm they called me and said they did not have it in stock and reschedule for 3 weeks. I canceled the order after I was only offered a 10% discount and still had to wait 3 weeks. Called BestBuy order same size refrigerator for $200 less and suppose to have it by Saturday. I would give them a minus if possible. We bought a refrigerator there and it was delivered late on a Wednesday. By that night we were both very sick with Covid and not up to putting the shelves in or even looking at it much. So on Saturday we put it together and realized it was not what we thought we were purchasing. I called first thing on Sunday and explained I had Covid so I needed to take care of the return over the phone. The lady at the return desk repeated 3 times I would have to come in to take care of it even though I reiterated I had Covid. So put on a mask and go in staying a couple of feet from the counter. After several rejections to discuss it other than "It's been more than 48 hours and there are no exceptions " I Finally got to talk to a manager. The "manager" talked over me, accused my lying, refused to listen to me, turned her back to me and talked to the other employees about me while I was standing there. She lost it when I said, "Don't turn your back to me and talk about me." Sad to say it went downhill from there. I have never experienced such rude unprofessional behavior from a store before. There was supposed to be a follow up from the main manager of the store the following day. Of course, several days have passed and we have heard nothing. Sad thing is we have spent so much money there redoing our home. We have now canceled our card there and will NEVER step foot in a Lowes again. read more

It's a Lowe's, they have hardware, fixtures, etc. I'm reviewing this particular Lowe's because I've had some weird customer service experiences here. The last one was a doozy, with my mom having to get a manager to complain about one of the employees. I can't repeat some of the things my senior citizen mom said about this employee, but none of it was good. The other employees are helpful and knowledgeable, so as long as you avoid the rude employee here, you should have a fine experience at this store. read more

Almost every month when I go in to pay my LAR account it is a new, undertrained employee is working the customer service desk does not know how to do the payment and that was the case today. Girl didn't know what she was doing and had a terrible time finding someone to help her. When she finally did, that young lady didn't know how to do it either. When I told the original girl to call the manager, she told me I needed to be patient or if I thought I knew how to do it to come around and try. I acknowledge it's not the employees' fault if they are not properly trained and that is what I wanted to discuss with the manager. However, I don't expect a bad attitude when you obviously aren't qualified to be manning the customer service desk by yourself. Continually pressing the same buttons isn't going to get the job done. Store #1795 is a great store. They have a solid management team, and the associates are kind and helpful more often than not. This store isn't exempt from mistakes or bad employees (especially when the store hires seasonal employees in mass, though they only keep the good ones once the season is up), but I've had more positive experiences here than most places I've shopped. Their Garden Center is especially great! The Garden manager, Rod, and two employees (Naomi and Luke) provided great customer service earlier this summer when I needed many pavers. I've come to realize such kindness and help is the exception and not the norm for major retail stores these days, but this Lowe's has stayed consistently good. Most Yelp reviews for major brand retailers tend to be negative, and most positive reviews are done for a non public survey the stores do, so don't let poor reviews taint your view of this store. read more

I am currently working with Lowe's and Brunaugh Construction & Design (BCD) out of Alton, IL. on a $20K kitchen remodel project. I have had to do quality control on the simplest things. They installed light switches uneven with another box (measured off the cover not the box). I wish I could post pictures. They installed our cabinets wrong which our project is now delayed 2-3 more weeks. They billed us in the beginning for several items that wasn't part of the plan - flooring $3,700 among other things. They were suppose to install a down draft on the stove but couldn't so we took it out. They refunded $400 for the equipment but not the labor to install it. We were told they were going to refund it, Lowe's even asked for my credit card number to conduct the refund. I receive my bill and there was no credit. I ask Lowe's for a copy of all the receipts and they dodged me for 4 weeks. Finally, management had to get involved and I received a copy of my bill. It turns out, Lowe's and the contractor have been exchanging charges on my account - BCD received merchant gift cards for the refunds while they turned around and re-billed for additional services that neither my wife nor I approved. Magically, my bill ends up to be the same with refunds (possibly more) and "new work" they had to bill for. Anybody else smell bull %*iT? I trusted Lowe's, and I wanted to give BCD a chance even though they weren't rated with the BBB. MISTAKE. Hello Home Depot! read more

We bought cork (easy to install snap) flooring and installation at Lowes. Lowe's contracted out their labor to Burton and Burton contracted out the labor to a smaller contractor. The smaller contractor came on Friday, July 11th but said our 10x14 room was uneven and had to go home and get shimmies. The next day the contractor came back and spent 11 hours on this little room and by the end, the floors were more uneven than before, snapping and popping when it was walked upon. Burton sent someone else out 1 week later to fix the floors but this person just "assessed" the situation and said that yes, the floor was put in incorrectly. Another person came a week later to fix the floors but simply assessed the situation a second time. After calling many times to Lowes, we had a third visit a week later. Turns out the first small contractor had not fixed the uneven floors with shimmies. He instead shoddily lay a sheet of plywood down that had carpet remnants underneath it (causing the floors to be even more uneven). He then stapled the recently laid cork flooring, hoping to make the floors seem even (we suppose). Once the third contractor received the correct supplies, the floors were fixed in two hours. read more

I always am able to find things I need with easy accesible assistance which is a plus. The only department that I have seen myself stand around for awhile was the painting department. But we did have problems with a door we ordered and it being a total different one on delivery. We got a refund pretty quick and it was a easy process. read more
