Everyone was so wonderful at this Lowes today - the cashier, the other sales associates. It was my first time shopping there. I want to give a HUGE shout out and thank you to Omar and Martin. Omar noticed I was struggling to load my cart with bagged mulch (I am a petite woman with a bad back - had back surgery a few years ago) He quickly came over to me to let me know he could make it much easier to get what I needed. He told me to check out for the mulch, drive out to the back and he would load it into my vehicle. I was so relieved! I did just that and Omar and Martin were there to load the mulch into my car - super friendly and helpful! I tried giving them a cash tip but they refused it. So I want to "tip them" by praising them through this review - they really made me feel like a valued customer - and saved my back - and I am extremely grateful! read more

I went to go pick up a picnic table yesterday from Lowe's. It was pretty ordered and alls I needed help with was loading it into my truck. I was left waiting outside with my bed open for 30 minutes...nobody came to help me. I went inside twice asking where the person was to help me and the cashier said "I just sent someone out to help you"-they didn't. Finally, for the third time of me going inside and asking for someone to help me the cashier came and helped me. We were two women trying to move stacks of picnic tables to get to the only nice one. Once we finally got to the nicest one we couldn't figure out a way to get it out. A guy finally came out to help and he was out there for maybe 5 minutes. I was left to secure it MYSELF because according to the workers they "couldn't help me secure it". Im 5'2 HOW am I supposed to do that??? I got on the Lowe's APP to do some research on Grout for my shower floor. The app was great, telling me all the options available at this particular store and the aisle number where I could find the grout. If you can do all that research yourself before heading to the store, you will save a lot of time. Trust me! It was such an easy shopping experience. I had 2 4x4x16 posts delivered one was so twisted it was unusable. I have now been calling for 3 days and I've been disconnected or transferred repeatedly to the wrong person or the managers are in meetings. I paid for delivery and I should have gone elsewhere perhaps the managers should spend less time in meetings and focus on customer service. She walked me through the different key types and styles, and then created the keys for me, making sure they were well brushed so they didn't have any metal pieces hanging around and were clean and ready to use. Every single person in this lowes is highly motivated, willing to help, and truly makes shopping pleasurable. I met with the hardware team for finding a screw and an associate spent 20 minute helping me find a screw I needed despite not knowing what sizes I needed. Millwork, lumber, plumbing, and lawn and garden had such amazing staff. The mst team does amazing work doing resets, and the cashiers are beyond attentive . The best I've ever had . Was just there today and saw something out of place since price gouging has been in the news. A smaller plastic container of non National brand of windows wipes, no doubt anti bacterial. Nice and new store. Friendly staff, clean and organized. A couple of self Check-outs as well. They don't seem to have any winter stuff, i.e. snow shovels, snow blowers or roof rakes. They only had some bags of rock salt and windshield scrapers. They have an outdoor garden center that is being stocked, I am sure by spring it will be fully stocked with products and customers. I would recommend day time visits if you are not from or familiar with the area. Great addition to the area. Accessible via Eddie Dowling Highway in North Smithfield, even though the commercials call it Lowe's of Woonsocket. NOT to be confused with the Lowe's on the other side of Woonsocket. read more

Don't shop here. You probably know this already. The people who work in this store rarely have any idea what they are talking about. We bought a washer and dryer, for them to deliver and install it they have you buy new hoses, which is no big deal. However, when it's delivered the people will then tell you that you had to buy a power cord for them to hook it up. All of this ends with a call to a useless manager and a couple appliances sitting in the middle of your house. Bring back small businesses that actually care about customers. read more

After searching for weeks for a grill we wanted to purchase I finally found the one o wanted at Lowe's. Now we were also shopping for a backsplash, dryer, patio furniture over 5k worth of items in the next week or so. This extremely grumpy man whose name I won't share as that is extremely inappropriate kindly unlocked the grill we wanted to purchase. I wanted to see if I could fit it in my Jeep. We ended up unscrewing a side table and he put it in my Jeep in the rain. He said all set have a nice day but we didn't pay. And I kindly asked him for the sticker to go and pay the man proceeded to swear and insist we were "trying to f*ck him and get him fired" I would never steal and I would never not pay for an item. Lowe's has lost all of my future business. Management needs a better handle on all employees. Very disappointing. read more

Just returned from the Lowe's in North Smithfield ,RI. I drove there right after reading on-line that they had 8 Christmas light testers in stock, Aisle 23, Bin 15. No they didn't. A perfectly nice associate took me to Aisle 23, Bin15. Christmas lights all around but no testers. None. Not even a shelf tag saying they once had been there. "But I just checked on-line," I said. I must be honest; I have never been a big fan of Lowe's. I usually wind up walking around clueless, searching for someone to help me find the right light bulb or something. However, since purchasing our home, my boyfriend and I have gone to Lowe's more times than I can count and to various locations in RI. Of all the locations this one was my favorite, it is brand new, huge, and well organized. We were able to find cheap blinds for our home that have actually been a lifesaver and are definitely not lacking in quality despite their low price. I can't really speak for their customer service as my good friend works there and has helped us on our various shopping trips. I really have nothing negative to say but nothing overwhelmingly positive to say either. I personally prefer the family owned hardware stores but this Lowe's location is a good option and is open later. read more

I went to Lowe's in North Smithfield, RI and I had a horrible experience. The customer service representative refused to take back a Troy Bilt lawnmower that I bought in May 2018. The store managers Bryan and Jason were extremely unprofessional. I was not informed that I had 30 days to return the lawnmower. They would not even allow me to do an exchange or to receive a store credit. They did not look up my information to verify the date of purchase. They refused to allow me to return the item. I also purchased a 40 volt Kobalt battery less than 2 weeks ago and paid cash. They refused to do an exchange or a store credit. I spend a lot of money at Lowe's and I am extremely disappointed in their customer service. I have been present when they have accepted returns way beyond the 30 day window for other customers. Their policy is discriminatory and inconsistent. They show favoritism and preferential treatment to who they want when it's convenient. This is unacceptable! read more

This review is based solely on the garden department/succulent selection. Stopped in to look for some succulents for my sisters rustic bridal shower this weekend. The selection was awesome. I have visited several Lowe's locations in the last few weeks and came away disappointed but there were almost too many different kinds to choose from. They also had really cute hanging succulent gardens and different potted styles that we also chose as raffle prizes. I was so impressed with the quality and quantity in the garden department. Only issue I had was being locked in the garden section because the girl at the register took off so we had to carry everything inside and walk all the way across the store to check out. read more

I can't stand Lowe's and now it's even worse. I go there and no one seems to want to help. Just for lumber even. I call so I don't waste my time and I'm constantly back on pick a number. Three times I go through this and get frustrated and hang up. I call again for the operator and same thing. Does anybody work there????? I decide to call Home Depot, 5*'s for them. I call them and any department, they pick up after 2 rings, go Home Depot. WE will NEVER go back to LOWE'S!!!!!! Where do I even begin.... I purchased 2 full kitchens from this location over the summer. I had an associate in the Install Department come and measure my kitchen. She miss-measured in many places and many special, custom features did not fit and were omitted as a result. Their quartz counter top company, Discover Marble and Granite, were incredibly rude, condescending, unprofessional, and I hate that their product is in my house. The kitchen arrived missing few pieces of decorative molding. I'm still waiting 3 weeks later for those missing pieces. Every time I call for an update, no one can help me (including upper management), and they all say they'll call me back. That has yet to happen. Designing the kitchens and picking out finishes with Paul was great. Everyone else is the reason I'll never go back. read more

I attempted to fill out a review of my service at Lowe's official address shown on my receipt--but too many pop-ups to complete the survey. Most would probably throw in the towel--but I feel when a business has a great employee like Tom in the N. Attleboro MA. location-they should know about that employee. I ordered a shower door the end of March 2021 from this store. It did not arrive when promised. I went into the customer service desk at this location and spoke to Tom. He contacted the contractor that made the door and was told it was ready to be shipped. Again, it did not arrive on the promised delivery date, nor for another week. Tom checked on my order and determined the door had not even been made yet. I was ready to cancel the order, but Tom explained there would probably be a wait from any other supplier, and gave me his word he would keep an eye on my order and keep me informed. My door arrived at the store last Friday, and I picked it up and had it installed Tuesday. We are very pleased with the product, and remain loyal customers of Lowe's thanks to Tom. read more

Tucked back out of the way Lowes that normally has everything you want in stock. Remember, this is a big box chain store, so you have to take it for what it's worth. I saw a review saying they bought an entire home kitchen here? That's a horrible idea, blame yourself. Other people complain about not reading the fine print. I purchased a Pella bay window and 4 Pella basement windows back in August of 2018. The bay window was improperly installed, in January ,and leaked. In March the basement windows were installed improperly, would not open and weren't even Pella windows. Had 2 different store contractors and Pella representative come to check what had been done. Apparently the initial contractor had measured wrong. The bay window had too large a profile.Finally, after much back and forth, a new bay window was ordered. August 6th, the contractor came to install the window, only to find they had ordered the same size window as I already had. Been trying to reach the project coordinator for over 2 weeks. No response. At this point I would just like my $6500.00 back. I don't trust them to get anything right. It's been over a year and I'm still waiting for windows. DO NOT SHOP HERE! I bought a brand new Samsung washer and dryer in January 2018. They called and cancelled/rescheduled installation 3 times. Within a month the spin cycle on our brand new washing machine stopped working and we had to wring our clothes out by hand. First service technician showed up and said it was an operator error (I know how to use a washing machine). The next load we put in the same issue happened. Called back and scheduled another service call all while taking another day off of work to wait around. Twenty minutes before I was anticipating the technicians showing up they called and cancelled stating I never provided the serial number ( I did provide it and the customer service rep verified it was under warranty). They rescheduled yet again so another day off of work. Spoke to customer service supervisor who basically just said whoops, sorry. I stated it seems like you are going to just keep sending unqualified technicians who misdiagnose the problem until the warranty is up, in which case I will have to start paying. She had nothing to say. Awful, awful experience.. definitely should have read the reviews for this place beforehand! Now stuck with a brand new washing machine that doesn't drain the water!
