Very helpful staff. There's always people asking me if I need help when I'm shopping. I've had to go into the store a few times a week recently and Nick from the tile section (or at least this is where I always see him) is always very helpful! Even when he isn't familiar with a certain department he tries his best help us. This man deserves all the praise- he needs a raise!! I've been helping my parents with their bathroom renovation and they wanted a custom-sized bathroom vanity. We measured the space, met with one of the kitchen and bath designers, Terrence, and told him we were looking for cabinets made with real wood instead of particle board (or as close to real wood as possible these days). Terrence was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. He told us to look at the brands Schuler and KraftMaid and luckily Lowe's has sample doors available showing every design those brands carry. We were able to compare prices for two designs that we liked and he showed us a digital mock-up on his computer of what the cabinets would look like and printed them off for us to take home and mull it over for a few days. We chose the KraftMaid cabinets and are eagerly awaiting their delivery. read more

The Garden Center is mediocre. The houseplants especially are limited and not well taken care of. This is surprising given how close St. Pete is to Costa Farms! If you need outdoors garden bed type flowers this is a good location. Otherwise, for houseplants beware that you really look at the health of the plant and consider going to a private nursery. There is no service unless you aggressively seek it out.. The prices are no better than private nursery. You can get good value but you have to really beware. read more

Big box home and garden store similar to its orange colored competitor. They are similar in both positive and negative ways. Parking is generally easy and the I terror is setup in similar fashion with a paint department, garden center, electrical, tools, and etc. laid out in groupings to make it a bit easier to find items. But they also suffer some of the same issues. Sometimes it's hard to find employees for help and they are out of stock or don't carry something I'm looking for. Similarly, they run specials/discounts if you know when and what to look for and you can get those items for a really good deal. I haven't had to return anything so I don't know much about customer service from that standpoint. They also do self checkout. So if you're a loner, you can make it a shopping trip where you don't interact with anyone. read more

We special ordered a set of doors that cost $2400 and it came in with the swing on the wrong side. Not only did Lowe's try to charge us for a return stick fee but said we had to deal with the manufacture since it was their mistake. They have some great deals on plants always look outside in the clearance section because if you have a green thumb you can bring them back to life. I rarely write reviews, but after today's infuriating experience at the Lowe's paint department, I feel compelled to warn others. I spent nearly an hour waiting for assistance on something as straightforward as tinting a can of Kilz3. The young man who initially tried to help was polite but unfortunately lacked the product knowledge to answer basic questions, understandable for a new hire, but clearly reflective of poor training. The real issue arose when the woman with the mohawk, someone who's been there long enough to know better, finally stepped in. Rather than providing any real assistance or guidance, she brusquely told me, "That can't be tinted, you'll have to tint it yourself," despite the word tintable being printed right on the label. I could accept the product limitation, but what was unacceptable was her smug, dismissive tone and utter lack of professionalism. No offer of an alternative product, no attempt to explain, just condescension. This isn't my first encounter with her, and frankly, it's always unpleasant. After today, I'll be actively avoiding her, and possibly this Lowe's altogether. Customer service shouldn't feel like an inconvenience to the employees, especially after waiting nearly an hour. This could be caused by two different reasons. The pump and improper installation. If your not getting water in the unit then you know its most likely going to be the pump itself. If there is water in the unit, then you have something causing the overflow and there is either something like a crimp in the hose or the rise on the unit is too much for the unit to handle. Just to also make sure you will need to dump the water out and flip the unit over. They have a resivior of water at the bottom of the unit that has a little float valve. I came here to find flooring, tile to be specific and there was no one here to help. This has been the running story every time I have come here over the last 15 yrs. I needed appliance and no one was available, I needed lighting. I was given bad advice and now stuck with lights I don't want left in the trunk of my car. I was given bad advice two years ago when I purchased shower doors, I gave the guy the measurements & he ignored them. My tile guy had to come back with me for it was obviously I was not being heard. I have to dock 3 stars. I wrote a review on my phone and forgot to put it here. I read what I wrote and got pissed off all over again. I went to Lowe's in St. Pete because I wanted a piece of glass cut for a frame.  I found some other items to purchase.  I head to the glass aisle.  I wait for a human being with a red vest.  I only wait about 10 minutes before I encounter an employee who tells me the glass cutting machine is broken.  I take my cart to check out.  Christine, the cashier, waits on 2 customers ahead of me.  Each customer is asked about veteran status, provided their subsequent totals and each paid w a card.  While Christine is ringing my items up, I asked when the glass cutting machine will be fixed.  She stated that she did not know but I should go to the glass cutting dept to ask.  I can't do that while I'm checking out but I told her no one is there to cut glass because the glass cutting machine is not working.  She proceeds to disagree with me because she was 'just back there."  I told her that I had no idea what glass they were cutting since there was no machine to cut the glass.  She finds that amusing.  The problem is that I don't.  She provides me with a total.  I have my credit card in hand.  I asked her why she didn't ask me about veteran status.  She finds the need to answer my question with a question:  'Are you a vet?'  I can't speak to a manager because they are 'all' in a meeting.  I have zero idea how many managers this store needs.   I'm guessing very few since there is no mamager working presently.  I call the store x3.  The first time after being on hold and transferred to different associates, I am asked if I wanted to continue holding. I do and I'm hung up on.  Now I'm still pleasant at this point because getting angry isn't going to get me anywhere, right? I call the 727 # again.   Do the hold thing and  then informed that I didn't call the store, I called Corporate.  I call the 727 # again.  Do the hold thing and then I'm informed that management is not available. I call Corporate.  I asked about Ms. Omni and I'm told I have the Corporate # saved in my phone.  Yeah, no. Why would I have Corporate in my phone.  I have better things to do then call Sh.  I state that I want to write a letter to complain.  Sh tells me that is 'not the process.'  Are you sensing another problem here?  She asked me for my zip code.  What that has to do with my writing Corporate is beyond me.  How many different Corporates are there?  Sh doesn't know either. When I asked how the public knows what the process is, I'm told 'I dont know.  They just do.'  She then apologizes and says that management will review my "complaint and decide whether they will contact me or not.'  She apologizes again.  I hate it when people apologize and don't mean it, don't you?  I don't buy that lip service.  I understand as a long time lover and stock holder of Lowe's that it's important to you that I drink that Kool-Aid but I can't.  Are you seeing another problem here? I call for the manager 8/19.  That would be Debra with no last name.  I explained my numerous attempts to reach management and I wanted to give her the courtesy of letting her know that I was contacting Corporate.. a courtesy that your store feels the need not to give me.  Are you seeing another problem here? When buying any sort of appliance to be delivered, be wary when ordering from this store. I ordered a fridge on 1/30 from this store and even paid a slight premium because I had a tenant who needed a new one as soon as possible and the sales associate, Connie Bianco, told me the one we picked out was the cheapest that could get there next day. $700 more than I wanted to spend, but figured I would go for it given that I could get it next day and keep my tenant happy. I was told by Connie that I would receive a call from the warehouse that afternoon, Thursday, with a delivery time for Friday. That call never came, and thus Friday morning when I still had heard nothing, I called the delivery department. The gentleman was friendly but told me they have it on schedule for 2/4. At this point, I call back to store. After roughly 30 minutes of struggling to get someone anyone on the phone, I finally get Connie again. She tells me something along the lines of 'Our system shows it in stock but the warehouse doesn't have it. I'll work on getting it figured out, but it looks like it won't be until the 4th.' Here is where I made a mistake on my end. I took Connie at her word that the order would be fulfilled like she had stated it would. I should have cancelled the order on Friday and went ahead with a non-corporate, locally owned business but I instead stayed with it. It is currently 2/4, I still have no fridge, and have had to give my tenant $100 for the inconvenience... Needless to say I'll never do business here again. read more

DO NOT ORDER CUSTOM KITCHEN CABINETS from Lowes. We ordered about $30k (price after discounts) of cabinets and counters from Lowes in March. They were supposed to be delivered 7/3/22. Lowes measuring team measured wrong by 3 - 4 inches. We contacted the local Lowes and national once we found out. It took 3 weeks of calls and emails before they sent someone out to remeasure. Then they had to modify the design and resubmit it. By that time, the original cabinets we ordered were already built and shipped. We asked if they could install the island since its measurements were not affected. NO. The entire order was cancelled. Then we were put at the back of the line for the corrected order. Finally the cabinets arrived 10/7/22 six months later. Called Lowes to see if they could help expedite the installation since it was due to their screw up. NOPE. Not our problem. I've always been a fan of Lowe's over Home Depot. After my most recent experience, my opinion may have change. See my timeline of events below: 09/02/2023 - Went to my local Lowe's in search of a new gas grill. Found a really nice Napolean grill that happened to be on sale. The guy in the grill department informed me that they are currently running a deal that gives free assembly AND free home delivery. He told me it could be delivered on Monday (09/04/2023). This sold the deal as I was already going to be off of work on Monday due to it being Labor Day. 09/03/2023 - My DAD received a call from Lowe's stating that the grill would be delivered the next day (as originally scheduled) between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. Notice that I said they call my dad. My dad and I have the same name, so they somehow mixed up the phone numbers. No worries...my dad relayed the message to me. I wasn't worried. 09/04/2023 - My wife and I hung around the house on this afternoon and waited for the grill to arrive between 2:00 and 4:00. At 4:00, there was no grill and there had been no phone call. I called Lowe's in search of information. I was informed that as of 8:45am that day, Lowe's had determined that they didn't have the grill in stock and would have to get one from the manufacturer. So, Lowe's knew at 8:45am, but nobody bothered to call me and tell me that the grill would no be arriving today. The woman on the phone said that it was scheduled to be delivered on Friday. I also gave the woman on the phone MY phone number so that she could make the change and they would not call my dad. 09/05/2023 - My dad (yes, wrong number yet again) got a call from Lowe's to say that they got another grill and that it would be delivered the next day on 09/06/2023. OK great, that's not so bad. 15 minutes later, he got another call stating the exact same thing. My dad then gave them my number. An hour later, my dad (Yep, wrong number again), got a call from a woman stating that the grill they got was damaged and they would have to get another one from the manufacturer. However, she said that she was unable to get it for some reason and was going to have to cancel my order. She suggested I go back into my local store and reorder the grill again. She put a note under my name saying that I should receive a discount on the reorder. I immediately headed up to my local Lowe's. Spoke to a very nice young lady there who was very apologetic and understanding of the situation. She informed me that they had the grill in stock there! Why the heck didn't they just send that one in the first place?? Anyway, it wasn't assembled at this time. So she contacted someone and told them that she needed an assembly to come in tomorrow (09/06/23) to assemble this grill for delivery on 09/07/2023. So I placed the reorder and she applied the discount. Still irritated, but the discount helped. 09/06/2023 - Got a call from the local Lowe's delivery department. He informed me that they didn't have an assembler today so they would not be able to deliver the grill the following day as promised. I just couldn't believe it!! This was the worst experience ever! I had no choice but to agree. The guy on the phone ASSURED me that the grill would be assembled on Thursday the 7th and delivered on Friday the 8th. He also assured me that I would be the first stop on Friday and I would have the grill by 8:00 or 8:30. I said OK and made arrangements to come in to work late on Friday in order to receive the grill. 09/08/2023 - 8:30am came and went. No phone call, no grill. I called the local store. Customer service answered. I asked for the delivery department. They transferred me to the self checkout person. What??!?! This person got me transferred to the delivery department. I spoke to the same person in the delivery department that I had spoken to the other day. He said they were short staffed because someone had some sort of emergency or something, but assured me they were loading the truck as we speak. An hour and a half later, the grill FINALLY arrived at 10:00am!!! What a terrible experience! read more

Went in to buy a Weber grill late in the day on Friday. Once we were assisted and picked out a grill we asked to have it brought out so we could buy it. We were told that there was one showing in stock and when the lady came out she rolled out with a three burner unit instead of a two burner unit. The manager of the store was there and he was aware of the situation and that we were indeed wanting two burner unit due to its size and price point. He then offered on the spot to match the price for the three burner unit, I looked over at my father and we both said yeah sounds great. This was $120 difference. Once we got to our vehicle after we paid they were kind enough to give us a new bottle of propane gas instead of a beat up one. Then we realized that we needed to remove one of the side arms so it would fit in the trunk of the car. A gentleman named Junior who also goes by Chris was kind enough to help us with detaching the arm and loading our vehicle. He was very helpful and very informative as was everyone that worked at Lowe's that day that helped us. At one point I was asked by my wife to run and get a 4 foot planter as well as a lattice. The ladies in that department were very helpful and very sweet. I enjoyed my visit to this Lowe's and so did my father, you highly recommend this location. They've sent us companies with poor service and currently 2 months into a claim that just doesn't get fixed with the unscheduled, unexpected service visit. When our washer and dryer were delivered in a rented moving truck, it was 4 hours past the timeline. The delivery personnel borrowed our tools and still did not provide a proper set up. Let me be clear - the employees at this location are consistently professional, have massive amounts of know how and have treated me like family. I just got engaged and am trying to improve all aspect of my home. I'm a pilot, not a handyman, but I'm giving it a shot, so I opt to upgrade my faucets in the bathrooms and kitchen. I try, and I fail. I go to Lowe's with all kinds of parts and tell them my sob story that went something like 'I tried really hard!' and they offer a sympathetic ear and prompt assistance. Brian (Plumbing), Nick (Hardware), Chris (Cashier) and Natalie (Manager) are standout employees with Dawn (Customer Service) making returns on used and unused parts very, very easy and hassle free. In all sincerity, thanks to the Lowe's team I'm alot more comfortable turning those screws, getting under the sink and making the improvements that I've always wanted to do. read more

Had the worst customer service experience I've ever had with this store. If I could give them negative stars, I would. Special ordered an induction stove from them, which they have never delivered. They freely admit (after having to call them multiple times for a new ETA) that the stove has been sitting in their distribution center for some time. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told they were on vacation. Naturally, I asked for the number for their district manager, and they directed me to the 1-800-44-Lowes number, who could, they assured me, connect me to a district manager. However when I called that number, they told me they couldn't. So in addition to being incompetent, they flat out lied to me. Again. Stove meanwhile has been cancelled and I will not be doing business with Lowe's ever again. I recently used their online ordering for a few purchases and the process worked well for me. They even called me to let me know one item had been delayed. I always thought Lowe's and Home Depot were the exact same thing, and typically ended up going to Home Depot since it's closer to home .... until I received a gift card to Lowe's. My husband and I were wanting a few specific things to spruce up our house a bit: a bracket for a broken towel rack, a doorbell, and air duct filters. We couldn't find the bracket so we asked someone and were told they don't carry anything like that, so we ended up buying a whole new towel rack. There weren't many to choose from and if I didn't have a gift card I'd never have chosen that one. They also didn't have any doorbells that would replace the one we have - the basic round button kind. The covers were too large for the space by our door and again there were only two round options to choose from. They didn't have our size air filters at all. They had just about every other size you could think of, but as luck would have it, we were out of luck. We ended up returning the towel rack because we found a 59 cent bracket at Home Depot. It took 30 minutes in line at the return counter. We also found air filters at Home Depot. I'm sure everyone won't have the issues we did, but it's just strange that we were looking for three completely random items and none of what Lowe's offered would fit our needs. Looks like we'll be spending the rest of that gift card on some light bulbs and a new garden hose. read more
