I was attempting to check out in the lumber area, when an employee started absolutely screaming at this poor kid working the register. I've never heard someone so disrespectful to a coworker in public before, but this lady took the cake. She had rainbow hair, and seemed to be in a management position. The kid looked like he was going to cry. The lack of professionalism was so horrific, and I can't believe they allow this kind of working environment. Product purchased is OK; Lowe's in Tualatin has totally incompetent and worse than useless customer service. My item was supposedly shipped weeks ago but never arrived - - only a shipping label was created. Their CUSTOMER NO SERVICE PEOPLE WERE UNABLE TO DO ANYTHING TO GET ME MY ORDERED ITEM. I spent literally hours on hold. The item ordered was never shipped. According to FedEx data, only a shipping label was created, and the item never entered FedEx weeks ago - - which the Tualatin people could also see.. The Tualatin Lowe's people could do nothing to get me the item I paid for - - even nearly a month after my order was placed. I finally solved the problem with the help of customer service in the McMinnville, Oregon Lowe's, where the item was in stock. DANGEROUS! DO NOT BUY A WATER HEATER HERE! Their third party delivery "company" was a dude in an ancient SUV, who transported our water heater ON ITS SIDE, and dumped it in our driveway. The box even said in big, bold letters, DO NOT TRANSPORT OR STORE ON SIDE. You can severely damage a water heater, especially a gas one, by putting it on its side. It also voids the manufacturer warranty. You'd think Lowes would know that, but when we pointed this out to the driver and tried to refuse delivery, he shrugged, wouldn't take it back, and drove away. What if we hadn't been there to see the crazy transport and dumping?!? We wouldn't have known until catastrophe struck. So we called Lowes "customer service" for help, but they treated us like idiots, condescendingly telling us we didn't know what we were talking about regarding damage and voided warranties. They brushed off our complaints about the delivery driver, saying "That's how everyone does it these days." It's taken HOURS of calling to get them to agree to an exchange. Then they made us buy the replacement one because it's coming from a different store! Lowes Tigard won't refund us until they pick up the damaged one, but we're still waiting for them to schedule that... They also refused to refund the shipping, which seems incredibly petty when I'm out thousands. I also wouldn't be surprised if they put the damaged water heater right back on the shelf once they finally retrieve it. Don't ever buy from here! Went into this Lowe's and immediately started getting followed/harassed. About two or three employees possibly more. They did not ask me if I needed help they were just observing me. I was with my two children. Their actions were uncalled for and offensive. Racial profiling and assuming I'm stealing is not ok. Im a hard working paying customer everywhere I go. I am not a fan of how few Lowe`s we have compared to Home Depot , since this can be a drive for few of us . On the other hand the good thing about this Lowe`s is that its very close to Costco , Walmart and a few other stores and hence you can make the most of the visit by doing the rest of your shopping on the same day . well stocked for tools but not so much for plants and other things . I was looking to buy a few trees for my yard and almost 70% of them were in very bad shape . I did buy a few but I am not sure how long they will survive . The staff is non -existent and it was extremely hard to catch hold of anyone on my few other trips as well . I have been coming to this location for a few years but have always found them lacking in customer service. read more

We paid nearly $15,000 for Lowe's to replace three exterior French doors. What followed was a nine-month disaster defined by incompetence, poor communication, and a complete lack of accountability. Multiple custom doors arrived severely damaged, including one that Lowe's knew had been damaged in their warehouse but failed to disclose until installation day. We were repeatedly given conflicting information about door sizing--first told all doors were incorrect, then later told the installers were wrong. At one point, Lowe's admitted that a replacement door was never ordered at all due to an internal system failure. Scheduling was a constant problem: missed deliveries, last-minute cancellations, and weeks-long delays. We ultimately had to transport a custom door ourselves just to keep the project moving. One replacement door arrived with a manufacturing defect that made it impossible to close, cutting off access to part of our home. The final installation was rushed and careless. Installers left without notice, damaged exterior trim was not replaced, defective doors were left in our garage, and no walkthrough or sign-off was completed. While one installer did excellent work, he was the exception--not the rule. This was one of the most unprofessional, disorganized, and frustrating service experiences we have ever paid for. I just drove 20 minutes out and back to purchase 1 cut board. I waited at the saw for the girl who was supposed to meet me to cut it and she wasn't coming so I stopped a guy. Awful doesn't even begin to describe this chain! If you look over my nearly 1k reviews you will see that my one star reviews are very few and far between. And those poor reviews were well deserved. So add Lowes to the list of businesses that I have never patronized and will never patronize. I went to this location to look at a refrigerator that I was interested in. I had already done my research and this is the model I wanted. So I show up at the store and they do not have a floor model to look at. Strike one! So after looking around some more I tried to create an account on the Lowes web site. After numerous attempts the confirmation e-mail never showed up. Strike Two! So I ordered the refrigerator as a guest with a delivery date of today. I never received a confirmation for my order and the cc company never notified me of a charge placed on my card. So today has pretty much come and gone and no refrigerator. Strike three! So I call their "customer service" number to ensure that my card doesn't get billed and a refrigerator doesn't show up at some random future date... I'm currently on hold being subjected to the loudest, most obnoxious, most staticy, annoying "music" imaginable. One has to assume that this is intentional. Lowes apparently hopes that callers will be aggravated enough to hang up eventually and just go away. Well.... mission accomplished Lowes! I will indeed go away. Permanently. On hold for 20 minutes. The nice lady on the other end of the phone said there is no record of any order attached to the phone number I provided so Strike four! It's astonishing that a company that goes this far out of it's way to fail miserably can still be in business. Unless you truly enjoy pain, give these characters a very wide berth. read more

I came in this morning to purchase some pavers and brick. Since I'm in the hurry, I ask for directions to locate items quicker. The staff at the painting department help and guide me the right place. At the check out, another staff name Amy helps me with entering the right code and greet me with a smile. She's quick and very helpful. Went to Lowe's today to BUY ($$$) a shower door and other items we might want for our current bathroom remodel ($$$). We asked an employee if someone could help us. He happily said he'd get us someone. Minutes later we heard an announcement over the PA system that customer service was needed in shower doors. 15 minutes later we decided we had waited long enough. As we were leaving we saw the assistant manager. I asked why so few people were working and his answer was....because there are so few people shopping. My answer was we're here and we waited 15 minutes for someone to help. Told him about the PA announcement. I was then told there were enough people working to help the people shopping. He then lectured me on how staffing a store works and how the PA announcement should have been done to get us assistance. Arrogant man just made sure we'd never shop there again. We left. Cabenits Lowes Spent over 12 hours and $10,000 to have cabinets installed. If you're thinking about doing it, don't do it, with Lowes, It was the worst experience, you're thinking the warranty will help. It's not worth all the headache go to a cabinet maker! I usually shop at Home Depot but because we were looking for a reusable Christmas tree, we drove 10 extra miles to our nearest Lowes, which had a new 2020 model tree. When we got it home, we realized that the plastic material was really brittle and when we assembled it, it looked uneven and when we tried to adjust the branches to make it look more full, the tips would break off in our hands. Polygroup makes a bunch of consumer products: these "Holiday Living" trees, Tree Parts, Above Ground Pools, Pool Toys, and Pumps & Filter Systems. Note to Lowe's don't carry Polygroup anything. Lowe's does have good in store recycling, such as fluorescent bulbs, and I will still go there even though they carried a bad product. read more

SHORT THIS STOCK. I can't imagine that Lowes will be in business much longer. This place is beyond incompetent to psycho customer service. It took three trips to this store to find the door salesperson. Since then that salesperson has been texting me repeatedly on her private cell to tell me that the specs and quotes have been sent to me. I have given her two email addresses and one text number. Each time she says "Thank you!" and nothing arrives. I tried to call the store to speak to the manager and after being disconnected the first time and put on hold for 20 minutes (and counting), I gave up. Convenient location right off I-5, this is a smaller Lowe's, which makes it easy to navigate. Store is well stocked and organized. Several staff members walking around so easy to get assistance if needed. Often get my cleaning products here. Winded for out door window washing is hard to find, but Lowe's has it in stock and best price. Same with barkeepers friend cleaning products and Zep. They have a decent selection of annuals and perennials plus planters in a variety of sizes, materials and colors. Lots of grills for BBQing season. Some outdoor furniture and pillows, although I'm waiting for end of season sale to purchase. Happy to have a Low's nearby. read more

Don't buy anything that you might need to return, such as extra materials purchased to make sure you have enough. If you are even one day past their 90 day return policy, they will never make an exception for any reason - not at the store, not at customer service, not anywhere. This is a new policy but they don't bother to inform you. I will be going to Home Depot from now on. read more

I have just about had it with this store. Recently I have been into their flooring department numerous times and there is never a worker in that department and when I ask for one no one ever comes. Every time I try to call this store it just rings and rings and no one answers. If I ask the automated line for a particular department like Flooring it just rings and rings and no one there answers. There is no way to email the manager or to email the store and when you call to try to speak the manager, you can't get anyone to answer. I was finally able to get someone in flooring on the phone today after many attempts but then he said he did not know in response to the question that I asked him that anyone in their flooring department should know the answer to. I can't even complain because Lowe's is set up where there is no way to complain. Their "contact us" on their website only works for issues like orders and shipping. They just have terrible customer service. I wonder how much business they lose because of it. read more

I placed an order online for pickup expecting it to be quick and easy, it was not. I called from within my car to do curbside pickup. After ringing 3 different times, I went inside to pickup. I waited in line for over another 10 minutes. It would've been quicker for me to just shop in store and checkout normally. I'm extremely disappointed in the service here. I tried - like I really REALLY tried to do the switch over because you here all these horrible things about the other home improvement giant but I switched back over. A different Lowes location a friend of mine went through to get help on their kitchen remodel which turned into - actually not turned into, just was...everything about her dealing with Lowes was apparently a complete and utter nightmare. Which brings me here. When you walk in you feel like you have the store completely to yourself - I mean, I know I usually shop fairly late but still ... it's awesome with no customers but does anyone work here? Like anywhere? It is an interesting difference as far as their products offered goes since it is completely different and I know during the time I spent remodeling my house we did go to both the giants for each room because there are some things which Lowes carries which the other guys do not have as many options. The best example of that was for when we remodeled our garage. I wanted a fancy garage with a fancy work bench etc and. I will say that we had to go to Lowes for that - they had some great options so I was able to get something sort of mid-price range but very modular, usable and I still feel good about it years later. My recent experiences have been hit or miss though and its mostly been a big ole miss. We will start with the hit....although, being fair - I did not side by side it to the other guys at the time and actually it was a miss when I really think about it. I ended up with a house guest from hell who I managed to get out but it was 8pm and a close friend suggested (no really...it was NOT a suggestion but a friend intervention) that I needed to change the locks. We are in the aisle staring at the sets of door locks. I can find a bunch of double sets in brass and bronze but not the nickel. A very long story made short - my friend walked through half the store trying to find someone and did, and brought her there who seemed confused just in general. Thankfully we found the pair we needed - its way cheaper FYI to grab a double set plus lovely when your back door and front door match for their keys (since I have a French door on the back of my house versus a slider). So, if you find someone they probably can't help you. The most recent drop by I did (which was the last time seriously...) was me looking up and down their tile aisles (they have next to no selection of tile btw) and I could not believe they did not have a simple slate tile. There was actually a very nice guy back in tile who flat out told me that the other guys carried the exact tile I was looking for and that unfortunately they did not have anything other than the two very short aisles I was looking at. I was in shock - seriously. Their prices on most everything just seem high also...with the amount they want you to pay it seems like it is set up for the people with more money so maybe that's who shops there. I am so used to having options and most of these things I would look for here I did not have options to choose from. So it was high end or nothing for most things. read more

When I called to speak to a manager about my experience they wouldn't give me their name which leads me to believe that I was never speaking to a manager in the first place. Went here to buy a freezer. I get there and they have 2 of what I want in stock! Awesome!!! Floor guy said, "Well, we found it and we can't get it out from the back. Sorry!" How do you stay in business when someone comes in and says, "here take my money," but you don't have a loader available to move a few items around to help make the sales? Normally I'd move on with life but this is a warehouse... moving things would be considered essential business needs. Unacceptable. Eventually had to call a different Lowes, which I chose Clackamas and got a very friendly and helpful person. Worth noting. Having just bought a new house, I was in need of a tool kit and fortunately (or unfortunately), Lowe's was having a sale and I jumped at the opportunity. When I first opened the tool set, it was amazing! So many different screws and bits (lack of terminology, sorry), and I was able to assemble my table no problem. Then it came down to putting away the cardboard boxes and I took the box cutter out. The blade was very sharp and my initial cutting was excellent. And my boxes were able to be cut down very efficiently. Then i tried to retract the knife... unbeknownst to me, the guard of the knife were not properly aligned and did not fit together snugly, and while retracting the blade slide between the guard and gashed my forefinger. After cleaning and applying pressure for 10 minutes, it continued to bleed and I had to further apply pressure. One hour and a pressure dressing later, it appears the bleeding has stopped and now I write my review. I had tried to speak with someone who simply said, "Sorry, you can return it if you want." Thanks customer service for your help. Anyways, I'm sure I'll live but what a dangerous defect. read more

Let me start by saying shout out to the self checkout guy because he's the ONLY helpful employee in that store. All I needed was help with carpet, but the FIVE, yes five employees that we asked couldn't help at all! Thanks to the first guy who saw us waiting and asked if we needed help then proceeded to tell us that he couldn't help. But whatever girl tried to help just made me wanna walk out. CHILL, if you can't help just say that. No need to act all frantic and make it seem like we are asking for the impossible. Literally just needed a scrap piece of freaking carpet! Like just say you can't help and move along, don't need the attitude or frantic mess you brought to the convo. And no it doesn't have anything to do with her being a girl she just happened to be the only girl out of the 5 people to "help" us. We took 3 laps around the store waiting for the one carpet guy and still not even a "oh sorry be right with you" or "what can I help you with" buddy you see us waiting patiently for your help, even a head nod to show you see us would be nice, you've looked at us so you know we're here. Oh sorry, I forgot men can't multitask, silly me. All the other workers just act too busy to help or say "oh I don't know" well what do you know??? Couldn't even tell me where the tape was. You guys sure are good at standing with your thumb up your butt. Plus the staple gun we bought doesn't work, it shoots staples every 4 tries and it doesn't even clasp. Staples are the same brand as the gun, so yea they are the correct size. Can't wait to go back and return that, it's almost worth biting the bullet and not getting the $25 back. Home Depot has my business, even if they wanna support the orange rapist, racist incompetent pres*dent. After searching around town for a new washing machine and finding very few stores that had any available for almost immediate delivery I decided to go to one of the big box options. Not sure why, but I prefer Lowe's to Home Depot, so that's where I headed. As luck would have it they were having a "truck sale" on appliances so I was ready to get a "great deal". I guess more than $200 bucks off on both the washer and the dryer is better than nothing (gotta have a matched set, sorry). Sadly, they won't allow for the Veteran's discount on top of the sale price, which I begrudgingly understood. The young man who was helping me was very sweet and was able to pull up inventory to confirm that they had them somewhere close and actually walked to the warehouse to make sure the set they said they had was really there. That process only took a minute and then we looked up shipping. He had told me that it might take up to a week and a half, but Tada!, tomorrow 1 day later, my new washer and dryer are being delivered and the old broken washer and perfectly good Dryer are being hauled away. My son tells me I should take the time to sale the dryer, lots of people just want one that works, but I don't feel like having a dryer in the middle of the kitchen or on the back patio until someone comes to take it off my hands. I went to return flooring and when I went to customer service the guy there said I can't return it because he thought I stole it and had the receipt then I asked for the manager he said he was the manager and now has me going to Vancouver, Washington to return it which is an hour away.
