I prefer Lowe's to Home Depot, and this one is just down the street. It's cleaner and more organized. They even have an app that tells you exactly where to find items you are looking for, by aisle and section. That is so convenient. They are also price competitive. Staff appear to be less stressed because there isn't as much foot traffic as its competitor. Restrooms are clean, too. Parking: Plenty of free parking in their own large lot. I needed a replacement kitchen faucet and decided to try to use the website to find one that was readily available on-line at my local Lowes store on Skypark. It was easy to find one on the website that was ready for pick-up or delivery. The "electronic assistant" found 3 models for me to pick from. I picked one; bought it and was told it would be ready in 3 hours. In less than 3 hours the system sent me a note saying it was ready to pick up. The brand I picked was on sale. I had the product delivered to my car - it was so easy to buy it and I often have trouble with web sites. Once I got the product home I looked closely at the box and realized I was given the incorrect finish. I bought the stainless steal model but was given a chrome model; a very easy to make mistake as the picture on the box looks similar. I called the store and talked to Sabrina in Customer Service. She researched it; discovered the problem and talked to her supervisor, the Asst Store Manager, Juan, and got me a very generous discount on the product. Isaac helped too in the Pick-up dept. The store didn't need to give me the extra discount. I believe the store really wants to be customer focused. They are keenly aware of the ratings. Give them a chance, they will not let you down. I called to place my order and he had a slow drawn speaking voice. I did not appreciate his condescending tone. AVOID THIS STORE!!! I can see why this business has a two-and-a-half star rating. The associates standing near the entrance and checkout warmly greeted me and directed me to where Mazen was adjacent to the key copying area. Such a nice college kiddo and took care of my key copies with care, speed and efficiency. Parking is easy in their huge lot. Great experience overall. 4 stars. I didn't think I would ever review a chain hardware store. I am not a "handy" person and usually wander aimlessly in the garden section after scrolling through too much social media. But we have a home improvement project going on and needed a door. It isn't a door we use often because it's next to the slider and the existing door is always stuck. There was damage to the bottom of the existing door, hence the sticking, so our contractor said we should purchase a door. Well, we went online and picked the wrong door. Did I mention I took woodshop in the 7th grade and barely passed and my husband missed Woodshop and metalshop all together. I just want to say, the fault was ours, we own that. We could have asked our contractor for help, but in our ignorance, didn't think shopping for a door online was difficult. This is why Lowes got 5 stars. They delivered the door, carried it to the backyard, and allowed me to inspect the first door before leaving. If only I knew what I was doing. So when we called them back and said, "We're lame and ordered the wrong door." Lowes said, "OK, it happens. We'll pick up the first door, give you full credit and drop off the correct door" FYI, since the contractor told us which door to buy, we were prepared. This all happened in 24 hours, including the original door being purchased and delivered. Our contractors weren't delayed. No harm, no foul. The delivery guys were the same guys. They were kind and professional. No eye rolls. They would have been entitled to a little annoyance, our pup barked at them from inside the house the whole time. Anyway, it isn't often I have a great experience from a box store. It is usually an acceptable experience to poor. I try not to complain because that is the new normal and those experiences meet expectations. This experience exceeded my expectations. We were braced for the worst because our lack of confidence in our knowledge. Can you imagine our surprise and relief? Thank you Lowes for listening and not judging. It took me three attempts to order 3.58 gallon Star Jasmine plants before finally receiving them. Before these three tries, I was able to order the plants without issue. I needed more so I thought buying 3 wouldn't be such a hassle but it was. When I tried to order there were plenty in stock and that my delivery would be by the end of the day. When the end of the day came, it showed a delay and then cancelled a few hours after that without a reason. The next day, I still saw them in stock so I tried to order again and after a few hours it was cancelled again. I contact customer service via chat and the rep says there are none in stock and I point out there are several in stock but he claims my first two orders could not be completed because it showed out of stock in his system. I said I'm seeing they are in stock now, can I order them and he says "Sure...". I ordered them again and again, I received an email saying delayed so I for sure thought it was cancelled. I reach out to customer service via email and tell them I am highly dissatisfied with how my orders keep on getting cancelled when it's showing they are in stock. 32 hours after my same-day order was put it, I received the order plants and now the website says they no longer can be delivered and only purchased in store... I like shopping here but it seems picking up items in-person is your best bet. Ordering same day delivery might end up with your order being cancelled. read more

A literally just walked into the store to try and purchase a RTIC cooler THE COOLER HAD SOME SCRATCHES ON IT, SO I ASKED FOR A DISCOUNT. The self check out employee said sure. No problem. When we scanned it. It showed a different price from the online from the Lowe's website. She called somebody else and she told me that store did not do online Price matching. She would do it at a courtesy for this time. I also mentioned that the cooler had a bunch of scratches on it and that the other person give me a 10% discount on it. So she would discount the cooler for the online Price, but not the 10% although cooler all scratched up You think the store needs to train their personnel better and understand their own policies. Log into Lowe's website. It clear Day says that they do to online pricing match. But she was adamant about that wasn't thing they do. I was very disappointed and just walked away. Lowe's Home Improvement on 2700 Skypark Dr. in Torrance has an outstanding Customer Service!! I encountered after a great called I had with "Eric" in Customer Service. I follow his suggestion the next day 6/15/26. I was directed to the paint's department and I encountered with "Beatriz" that was busy with a client and immediately she asked her co-worker to please take me to the aisle to find what I was looking for and "Agustin" took me very pleasantly and showed me my choices and I decided right away! I asked him if he can direct me to the water heaters section and he did it happily without feeling rushed or having an uncomfortable feeling about it. While checking the water heaters I had an extra question about the item and I heard behind that wall someone moving things so I approached to the representative and I got the surprise that I encountered "Agustin" again for the second time. I was impressed with his knowledge and patience and suggestions about the installation! I never felt that he was bother at all what an amazing customer service ! I didn't buy it at that time and he understood without feeling disappointed. I thanked him for his help and I started walking away when I remembered that I needed a toilet seat. I saw 2 representatives walking towards me and the representative Kevin gave me an eye contact and asked me right away if I needed help? Wow it is impressive and a wonderful feeling to be acknowledge in such a big store ! He directed me and I got to the section which it had plenty in stock so I looked for help and I found "Max"ready to paint something because he had a small roller with paint and I told him don't worry you are busy and he left everything to help me this is another representative that blew me away !! In my way back to pay at the registers I saw the self checkout registers and before I got in front of it "Joe"approached me asking if I needed help and I said well I need to pay and he went and scanned and got me ready to pay very fast and he was very welcoming man I really thank him for his help and I mentioned what a difference between Lowe's and Home Depot. Home Depot lost my business with the paint, the toilet seat and the water heater because I went back in the evening of 6/15 with help and I got my efficient water heater because of their great customer service with "Augustine" and all the representatives I encounter at that particular time of 6/15!! When I went back to buy the water heater I met in person the famous Eric from customer service that is what I called him. I spoke with him the day before and because of him they got my business. I mentioned to him that he helped me with the paint the day before and he remembered me, what a patient, helpful representative even though he was busy that evening I can tell you that he took his time to help me!! I value that a lot and he was really the beginning of my experience with Lowe's on Skypark. Their pricing was very affordable and I really love my new water heater! I don't want to forget the installer I contacted, he called me right away, very polite and professional. This is the closing, I can tell you that Lowe's has a great team and that is fantastic! I really think that we go to Home Depot because is convenience in a big shopping center, I rather experience good customer, because I don't have to put up with people that are not helpful, they are rude, they hardly answer their phones. Been waiting in the return line for 10 minutes, 1 person working the register. 3 workers with "customer service" on their jackets walked right past me without acknowledging me. Maybe the attitude of these workers is "not my problem" or "they don't pay me enough for this." In the past I've had great service at Lowe's when I needed advice for products. Disappointed with knowledge by store employees on discount programs offered and price of items. On May 24th I visited Skypark store and was assisted by a male employee with a miter saw. The price showed a mark down of $50. I asked how long the sale would last and was told that it was not a sale price, it was a mark down possibly because it would be replaced by a newer model. The gentlemen noted that I could use a military discount if it applied to me. I advised that I had attempted to use my First Responder (FR) discount in the past, but it had been unsuccessful. On May 25, I returned to the Kobalt 7 1/4 miter saw, the FR discount was not applied upon paying for the item. I asked a female employee who said that Lowes does not have a FR discount and it was only for military. I told her that there is and is noted on LOWES web site. She said that she had never heard of it and suggested that I apply for a CC to save 20%. She further said that the price mark down was a sale price and there is no double dip on discounts and therefore I could not use the FR discount. Well, isn't 20% discount for applying for CC a double dip? I did not want to create a scene so I left and will probably return the item and go to Home Depot to purchase the Ryobi saw. read more

On August 22, 2025, I tried to file a claim online, for our GE stacked washer/dryer, and wasn't able to, so my wife and I went to Lowes located on 2800 W. 120 St., Hawthrone, CA store #1555, to request assistance. We have an extended warranty that is active, until May 2026. The guy working in appliance told us that he couldn't help us, because the washer/dryer wasn't purchase there. We didn't believe him, so we drove out to Lowes, 22255 Western Ave, Torrance, CA 90501, store #0250. We went to the appliance department and talked to a very nice Salesperson named Cirpey. Cirpey helped us with trying to contact the service department. It took about 20 minutes to get someone, but she was determined to help us. Cirpey said that she saw we were from Inglewood and wondered why we drove that far. No, my register does not have change for a $100. No, we don't have a decent selection of shade/part sun annuals or perennials. No, I can't help you - I'm leaving for a break. On our walk into the garden center, I could not help but notice the obvious bud worm problem on all the petunias. Many of the blooms were eaten away. We were next in line. The attendant left the register without a word. While we waited for someone else to help us, we were forced to watch another attendant clean the register without so much as an "I'll be right with you". We didn't even get a "thank you for waiting". Instead we were instructed hand over 1 of our mums so it could be scanned. Off day for the staff? Maybe. The weather was so beautiful today we couldn't help but laugh at the sad exchange we had just experienced. I paid with credit card because changing the $100 was impossible. Best part of the day? Leaving and heading across the street to Home Depot. Do better Lowe's. Your garden center staff needs an intervention. read more

So far my experience has been CRAPPY!! We were there on June 27, 2025 to buy a security screen door and have it installed. Lowe's contracts their measuring. On July 7 Hermosa Window measured my doorway. On July 9 someone called from Lowe's and did not leave a callback number. I have called Lowes several times. No one ever answers at the extension. Today is July 15. I am on my 5th phone call with associates and supposedly managers and once again on hold over 13 minutes for the 2nd time today. I am profoundly disappointed with my experience at Lowe's, a retailer that promises quality service but fails to deliver, quite literally. This local Lowe's sells appliances yet outsources delivery to a third-party company utterly unprepared for the task. This delivery service demonstrated a shocking lack of competence, unfamiliar with the area and apparently unwilling to conduct even the most basic research, such as a Maps search, to understand the terrain they would navigate. For a company whose sole purpose is delivery, this level of negligence is inexcusable. Lowe's, it seems, prioritizes profit over integrity. Once they have your money, their commitment to customer satisfaction evaporates. Promises made during the sale are hollow, replaced by indifference and inconvenience. Any issues that arise post-purchase are unceremoniously dumped in the customer's lap, to be resolved at Lowe's discretion and on their timeline. Their customer service is nonexistent, offering no solutions, no accountability, and no effort to go "above and beyond." This was my first and unequivocally my last experience with Lowe's. I hung up with someone from Lowe's customer service today at 4:02 p.m. who said he would call me back. It is now 9:00 p.m. He never called me back, nor did anyone else. I rest my case. They have my money. I do not have anything in return. Nothing, not even an expected date of delivery. I strongly advise against shopping here. Save your money for a retailer that values its customers, honors its commitments, and demonstrates basic problem-solving capabilities. I will not recommend Lowe's to family, friends, or colleagues. Never have I had a more miserable experience. We hade tile replaced in our entryway but have incomplete tile around around baseboard. We have talked with no less than 12 reps (part of the problem) of which not one returned a call when promised. They are disorganized use outside contractors to do the work ,outside contractors to give the estimate and then another contractor to order . NO ONE comes to see in person the job at hand. They have damaged our tile baseboard drywall leaving 4" raw and damaged. They ordered the wrong trim and now wont replace with the correct trim. Not one person knows what the other is doing...no one person has your order there are many many reps calling never knowing what the other person has done or said they will do .No one can find your order details. It boggles the mind that a company this large can get away with this kind of abhorrent service. Bait and switch tactics are at the crux of this debacle .There is too much to say here folks. My advice is to RUN RUN RUN away and do not order any flooring from this company. It has been an apocalyptic nightmare that is yet to be resolved. I truly wish I could give a negative number but am forced to give 1 star. read more

Went to return an outdoor Christmas decoration that literally stopped working after two weeks. I paid $130.00, and at checkout the guy said to return if any problems. Went back into the store lugging the outdoor Christmas tree and was told they aren't accepting any Christmas returns, despite selling me a piece of junk. This company doesn't stand behind their merchandise and I won't be supporting this brick and mortar anymore. Terrible business policies. Enter JD who asked if we had any questions we first asked him for the 499 one but I told my husband go big or go home! So we changed our mind to the 599 one. I'm used to being ignored by the Home Depot employees. They had a good selection of stuff. And when I asked if someone can help me with my DYI project. Pretty cool but weird location. This Lowe's is across the street from Costco but it's location is a bit awkward. The store front doesn't even point towards the street. And Skypark Drive is less busy so there's less driving down this street to attract customers. Easier to go to Home Depot nearby and stop by other stores around it. I like how there's dedicated reserved spots in front of the store for 'Fire Department' but easy to load stuff using that spot. Interior is huge with lots of selection. The aisles are well labeled and easy to see which aisle has what. I was looking for like pliers, hammers, etc and all were not in any aisle but at the front of the store. Took a while finding it. Great selection of products. The employee had veteran patch on his vest and glad this store hires and promotes veterans. read more

She gave us all the options of prices, answered all our questions, checked the inventory (going all the way to the back more than 3x), explained the differences between the washers, and explained to use the best options for our budget. I ordered a new doormat online with store pickup at this Torrance location. My order was estimated to be available for pickup in 8 days. On the exact date of their estimate, I received an email that it was ready. I headed over today and parked in one of their designated stalls. Within a couple of minutes, an employee came to my car to assist. I showed her my order number and ID, and remained in my car while she called for someone to bring it out. I popped my trunk open, received my new doormat, and was on my way. The process was simple and safe. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was the long wait time from placing the order to actually getting it. read more
