Update on flooring dept- what we thought was a good deal on 'sale carpet' turned out to be a miscalculation on the bid, they hadn't taken the new baseboard price into account (which was on the paperwork but overlooked?). Turns out their price is almost identical to other local carpet outfits except Lowe's carpet was of lesser quality AND we'd have to paint our own baseboards....we're going with Vallejo Flooring Co, better quality of carpet for the price. I order wood panel floor and Lowe's gave me estimated time frame, then they changed the date, called back and once again got a different arrival date, last they replied they had no idea when the materials would show up. Finally, the wood floor arrives an its the wrong order! They then said they actually had it all along in the backroom, and last they once again screwed up again and said oh its not here its out at the Lowe's Vacaville. Very unprofessional and unreliable. No one wants to take the blame for the mishap. So here we are driving to Vacaville to pick up our materials that we have been waiting for weeks! read more

I went into this Lowe's to pickup some wood toned stain. As I walked in there were 5 "greeters" all talking jive to one another and not one "greeted" me if that's what they were there for. So I asked another Lowe's rep who was reading something by a check stand. He told me to section 4 where I found the wood toned stain. I couldn't find anything for a redwood color. Since the paint lady was on lunch I asked a Lowes rep who was walking through the aisle with his customer or friend and asked him if he knew anything about stain. He didn't but he said to ask a female rep who was walking from the other end of the aisle because "she knows stain". She didn't. So I waited for the paint lady who was obviously not in a good mood. Although she answered my questions, she was less than welcoming so I left for Home Depot. I expect more from Lowe's because they charge more for everything. read more

I would not Recommend this store!, I ordered a double oven and was told I would receive by 10-9 then I called on 10-9 because I didn't receive a delivery time , then was told you will get it Friday 10-I2 , i did not receive a call so Friday 10-12 I called corporate and they said the store will call you in 48 hrs, THEY DIDNT, I called them, to be told it wasn't on the truck, but I should get it by Friday 10-16, then 2 hrs later I get a call from a mamager, That said I can get you another stove with the same functions , I said great, but he needed to verify when it would be delivered, he then calls me back with, I will get your stove in Oregon on weds, and it will be another 2weeks from that for delivery, I asked what happened to the other stove? He then states it would take 30 days for that stove, so when he told me he could get another stove, he lied ! So go to HOME DEPOT, THEY ARE DELIVERING in two days at the same price ! Vallejo store was used to deliver product for me when I ordered double oven, cooktop, dishwasher and they had me cancel standalone hood as they could not deliver? I had problems with store personnel from beginning and manager of delivery department finally fixed problem I was having on keeping my cooktop order in and not cancel though is was on backorder for the store. Now my contractor opens dishwasher and finds dishwasher has large dent inside of dishwasher and parts missing and broken. Contractor says looks like the dishwasher may have been dropped and put in new box as the box was not damaged but the inside of the dishwasher has a dent on lower right side. Waiting for assistant manager of store to call me back to find out how this may get resolved. The dishwasher was delivered 8/21/17 and contractor tried to install 9/22/17 and because its over 30 days they will not exchange... read more

I went in to get 14 bags of mulch. While I was looking for the mulch the guy who works in that dept. told me where to find it. He stated that if I was getting a lot of bags that I could just take one bag to the counter and have the cashier ring up 14 bags. After taking care of the payment he said I could go around back and he would just load the other 13 bags into my truck. The girl at the cashier station seemed pretty confused by this but I told her that the guy that works that dept. told me to do this. I waited out back for him for around 15 minutes and he never showed. I went back in to the cashier and she said we don't have a loading area and I am not sure why he told you this. I had to go and load up the 13 bags of mulch onto a large cart which I was willing to do in the first place if I was not goaded into driving around back. Very poor service and his action were not very professional. I am pretty sure he and some of his fellow workers got a good laugh about it though. I will NEVER buy anything from this location/store again. To summarize my interactions with this place is after purchasing a washer on July 4,2020 and scheduled first available delivery date July 27th, on July 26th 6pm I had not received a confirmation call as to delivery window time so I called store and was assured the delivery would happen on 27th. I called back on 27th only to be told product was never received at store from manufacturer and new delivery date is August 8. I insisted they called manufacturer for a firm delivery date of washer, found out washer wouldn't be available until late September. I found another washer at Lowe's and was told it would be delivered today July 27th but that didn't happen. Lowe's lack of attention to details cause my new washer NEVER to be loaded on truck today for delivery which I found out after calling Victoria the store Specialty Assistant store manager at 4:30pm, she had promised me on July 26th by phone that she would make sure my washer was delivered on the next day. I again went to store today at 6pm to speak to Victoria about non delivery and she spoke to me like I had a tail and was bothering her. I am so disappointed with this store and their lack of empathy for their customers after you make a purchase you get NO support. read more

We enjoyed driving down to Lowes in Vallejo to research on appliances, gardening needs, power tools and equipment. The staff is most helpful and efficient. Their savings coupons really worked on us as we purchased many things and from all over the store. Sometimes an online price is better than in the store, so the price match system works great. However, ..... We experienced a nightmare when having many things shipped as one big order. On one hand large expensive appliances that were truck delivered came to our house in less than 24 hours, great!!!... The parcel shipments experienced some haunted credit card charges that didn't match our purchase. Lowes credit card services personnel were very nice but yet unable to correct the overcharged activity which resulted in a huge waste of time as well as new credit cards and account numbers. I just went down to the store and purchased the items at the store. When at the store purchasing the items I originally wanted shipped I realized I wanted upgraded products and purchased better products because of the helpful staff. I give a four star rating because the in-store staff is so great, the store is so comprehensive and the prices are "LOW at Lowes". read more

It seems like a vocal minority of people want to badmouth Lowes. I recently bought a washer, dryer, dishwasher and range all from Lowes. Honestly, they had the best prices. Use consumer report and the like to narrow down your choices and check them out in person there. They rotate which models go on sale, so if you can wait a month, it is very possible that the exact appliance that you want will be discounted substantially. With the 10% moving coupon, it is better than the best price of their competitors all year. One item went deeply on sale, and since it was within a 30 day window, they happily refunded me the difference. Delivery was reliable and everything showed up without a scratch. Customer service and communication was excellent. I would recommend to friends and family. read more

I went in this Saturday, to buy two barbecue grills which I had seen at another store priced at a lower cost; and Lowe's didn't disappoint. When it came to their price match Lowe's did what they promise to do, which is match the price and give you an additional 10% off! For those of you reading this, the catch is that they will match a competitor's regular price and not a sale or discounted price, don't want to misinform anyone out there. The gentleman named Isaac, at the customer service desk displayed good customer service skills and adjusted the price for us, he was friendly and attentive to detail. After paying for our purchase we had to wait for the grills to be brought out to us from where they store them in the back. There were two men that did so, I did not catch their names but one was an older Filipino man, and the other was a younger stocky Latino man that upon bringing them out scattered away not offering any help. The barbecue grills weigh 191 pounds each...Really guys?!?! We loaded them up to be easily pushed out of the store and into the truck, but not before going back to the customer service desk and requesting some much needed assistance. I asked a lady there if someone could offer us some assistance with our purchase and she immediately walkie-talkied someone for assistance. A gentleman by the name of Richard came to the front of the store and helped us load up the two barbecue grills into the truck, he also demonstrated good customer service skills, and was friendly. We saw this gentleman earlier in the store and he looks like he remains busy as he was constantly bombarded by customers asking for assistance, and he never seemed to lose his patience or temper. I believe the Latino and Filipino men could, and should take notes from these other two employees, but definitely take notes from Richard! I give Richard and Issac five stars for the great customer service provided to us. Unfortunately, I do not recall the names of the other two gentleman, but the experience with them wasn't memorable rendering their names un memorable as well. read more

I hate to post negative reviews but I have been at this lowes in Vallejo tonight for almost an hour to purchase one item. One item that unfortunately needs to be brought out from the back of the warehouse and there is no one working!!!! We finally got some in appliances after waiting and asking for help to be told it will be waiting at customer service. No we get to customer service and wait and wait and finally get old it will be at least another 20 min wait to get our one item cause they cannot find it. While we have been here there has been call after call overhead for customer service in different departments and no one helping. This is a horribly u set staffed and poorly run Store. After being a former lowes employee who extended my services above and beyond! Having customers return to speak to me directly, assisting in help with there needs! Having a good work moral awards to prove. The quality in service needed in my own personal house renovation wasn't there i guess due to firing most/ leaving due to unfair work conditions! The great workers have been replaced or left! I love the company and store manager Greg Carlton great man! Knowledgeable in many fields made me love my job but I guess the company is lacking its management to improve their problems by under staffing leaving problem managers etc. With being a former employee id expect a bit of more help as some of my old co worker's being present! I gues the company just lost its touch ! I say it sadly as i expected to return to return to the company. But i guess they don't really care about much anymore. I was truly sad to see AL leave not only as a employee/customer who helped me renovate my house with all his help. Great products but the customer service is horrible - no one ever answers the phone, you are lucky to get a live person, mostly just goes to the "hold music". If you do get a live person, they tell you that the department you are trying to reach will call you back - they take your name and number so that you think someone will actually do that, but they don't do that either.....How are you suppose to get any data from them, Also the "A" list people only work in the day and the "B" and "C" list people work in the evenings and on weekend evenings, as though that's the only time one would need great advice. I'm trying to get data on a sliding door for 2200 and a windows - no cheap transaction and yet, I could keel over before someone gets back to me.... UGH!!!! read more

Lowe's in general has at least as much inventory as Home Depot, slightly better pricing with the Lowe's card rebate, and way more staff to help in all departments. This Lowe's, unlike the Concord store, always has plenty of good quality lumber on the shelves, ready to go. The Concord store is nearly as bad as the Home Depots, leaving rejects on the rack until you are forced to buy them. The alternative is wasting 30 minutes getting someone to bring in a new pallet, something I am tired of doing. read more

Turns out Lowes Vallejo "pulled" my stove from their delivary schedule early this morning and didn't bother to tell me. Just went in Friday to buy wood laminate. Was told that they were serving lunch at the parking lot so my son and I went. We were given piece of paper for some items that they were raffling off. When I got home, there was a message on the phone that I won the raffle and that I can claim it that day or the following day. I went the following day. I was told to go to the lumber cashier. I went but was told that the person in charge was out and the person I was talking to did not know anything. He took my information and was told that I will get a call that day or the following day. We'll 2 days after I called again ( I did not want to waste my gas again!!. Got connected wit a certain Bruno who said he is transferring me to another phone which unfortunately was disconnected. I called again and was told that this person is already on break and they got my information again with a promise that I will get a call back. I am still waiting for a call back. This sis a very crammy way to welcome loyal customers. Congratulations Lowe's for promoting "Badwill" to your customers. I'm back to shopping at Home Depot. read more

I compared prices on paint between HD and Lowes and found Lowes less expensive for the same paint. Unfortunately, the checker (Cherrie) was rude and dumped my change onto the top of the paint cans. I handed her a hundred and when I aksed if it was too much troubloe to hand me the change she stated "{You didn't put it my hand"; I did hand her the hundred but what difference would that make anyway? The manager either doesn't know of this employees stupid behavior or doesn't think it matters. It Does matter, this woman is an employee and if she doesn't know how to be pleasant and polite to the customers then she needs to be removed. I have just tried doing business with Lowe's online and I recommend that NO ONE do this. Their systems are designed to provide incomplete and incorrect information! I ordered a ceiling lamp on 12/22/17 and got an email saying my order is "in process". When I didn't receive any updates I called almost a week later and was told that this was a special order and the vendor didn't update the information (please notice that they immediately blamed the vendor). I was assured that the order would be updated and it would be delivered prior to 1/1/18. When I h as DELIVEREDit 12/29/17 and still had no updates, I called again and was told they couldn't provide me with any further information because it was Saturday and the vendor was closed. I checked the order status this morning (1/3/18) and it's listed as DELIVERED!!!!! So, yet again, I call and I am told that if the order goes past the delivery date it AUTOMATICALLY says "delivered." In other words, they knowingly provide inaccurate information. When I asked them to provide some form of recompense for spending hours of my time I was quoted fine print from the online purchase agreement. Yes, really! What are they willing to do? I haven't had any major problems with customer service issues but I can say that the bored looking associates here are much more jolly than the bitch resting face girls that work the garden center for Home Depot. Every time I come here the store is always clean and usually fully stocked with whatever I need to get! I love the garden center because everything is neatly organized and laid out for easy shopping or access. Home Depot is an old store but their garden center is always a MESS and majority of their plants are dead. Lowes at least separates their dying plants for discount away from the living ones. Although I do admit if you have a question... Good luck finding help because it's rare you will ever find anyone working the floor bedsides the actual cashier. I ordered a perhola after the vallejo store told me to order it from another lowes in union city n said that delivery would not be a problem, i fought with that lowes for 1 day and a half to get it delievered cause my lowes said ut was with in the deliverry miles of the store. Then i did on online order for the one in vallejo. I got an email saying it was ready went next day to pick it up. Went to customer service a lady named DENA had me sign a paper and said it is ready, i told her i had to grab some stuff n would be back. Came back and and waiyed in line because i didnt see my item. She told me oh u can just take it and when i told her that what she pulled wasnt mine she started to tell me it was. I let her help the 2 customers in front of me and waited my turn. Then i was told oh someone picked it up last night and she had to pull the pick up sheet. I looked at the table she tried to have me take, it was clearly someone elses didnt even have my name or order number in that sheet. 20 minutes go by she comes back saying oh some one picked it up an hour ago.... i tried to tell her she had me sign for it when i came in but she clearly didnt remember. So after waiting another 20 minutes she asks with attitude if it was my signature and i explained again she had me sign this amd told me it was ok to go shop. After this a manager went to go get it from the back because it wasnt pulled he rolls it up front n just walks away. I asked for help loading it in my car n that seemed to be a problem but ut was done. The same manager rolled it outside and put it in my car for me, great! The roll cart he had it on hit my car he looked at it then me n didnt say a word n just walked away! Through both experances not one manager or associate said sorry for anything. This rating is for the new store in Fairfield and not the one in Vallejo. I purchase a lot of tile in the Vallejo store. They did not have all I needed but looked on their computer and said there was plenty in Concord or Vacaville to complete my project. When I call ed the store in Concord the floor guy there asked me what dye lot and size tile I needed. Up until this point nobody had told me they had different dye lots and four different sizes of tile. The size varied by as much as a quarter inch. Great! So I called every Lowe's in the bay area and as far as Stockton. Most stores were unhelpful or did not know what I was talking about. There was no tile in the dye lot and size that I needed. Then I called the Fairfield Lowe's and talked to Shannon the floor manager. He checked the tile he had at the store and he had the tile I needed. I explained the problem to him and he told me the store had not opened yet so they had no cash registers or any way to sell me the tile. They were just in the store to set up and get ready for their grand opening. He came up with a solution. If I would bring exact change he could sell me the tile and give me a hand written receipt.
