I've been a loyal Lowe's customer for decades and have watched their customer service grow progressively worse with every purchase. Their third party vendors are the worst I've ever seen and their management team knows about them, never follows up and accepts little to no responsibility for their actions. The store managers are never available and hide behind the.... even worse...... 1-800 Lowe's number. If you are shopping and used to Quality customer service, Lowe's should be one of the last options for you. They have consistently disappointed me and my family. read more

My shopping experience was a 100/100. Met Tracie- Manager of the Painting department and Cynara. Both were extremely helpful and provided World Class Service which is rare at your competitors. What I wanted, Cabot Gold Walnut Sunlit stain, was abundantly stocked. This is huge to consumers; thank you. I am speech impaired and both Tracie and Cynara treated me with such respect and patience. I purchased two storm doors and was assisted by Isaiah. He was able to get the doors delivered within two days. On the day of delivery, the third-party company ran into some system issues and didn't deliver during the timeframe I was quoted which was 8 am-12 pm. I contacted the delivery company and they were apologetic. I went into the store and spoke with the manager Aster who assured me that the doors would get delivered, and I could take care of any errands I had to run. As soon as I got to my car I received a call from the delivery team to let me know they were in route to my home. They were efficient, polite, and handled my items with care. I know this store has a lot of negative reviews, and mine could've been one as well but I did get my purchased items and things happens. I hope this helps. read more

Terrible service. 1) Garden center is always understaffed and usually has a line of 6-8 people at the register. Slow checkouts, too. 2) If you want a flatbed cart to load bags of mulch or soil on, they tell you to go to lumber -- all the way across the store -- because the flatbed's "belong" to the lumber department. (How stupid and anti-service is that, eh?) 3) If you call to talk to a manager, the phone system tells you it is routing you to the next available associate. It rings for 20 seconds, and then goes to a fast busy signal. I tried four times today. No thanks. read more

****Sour Location***** Every experience I've had with Lowe's has been great. Up until the Lithonia location. I give this place cool points for being very clean, orderly, and fully stocked. But other than that nada one. I decide that my first home projects would be painting. So I head to Lowe's on Day 1 and pick out paint samples. I also needed to grab replacements lights for the porch so I head over to the 'lighting' isle, but apparently light fixtures and light bulbs need to be separated, so I ask someone, she gives me major attitude, or maybe not being that she just stared at me like I was from another planet. I thanked her for her help or lack thereof and walked off. Day 2- I decide on my paint color and return to Lowe's (because I had a gift card) to purchase my paint. Well the paint chick appeared to be a mute. When asking her questions she was very vague as if she didn't know the answers. She asked what texture I wanted my paint...I mean really how the hell should I know? The one that looks good on interior walls! I'm not a decorator I'm a numbers gal. So she laughs and hands me a sample stick with different textures. Could she not have handed me this to begin with?? So I pick glossy, she says I can't have glossy with the colors I picked, umm again, this could have been stated when she handed me the stick. Final complaint. Instead of picking the paint you want, you give the paint person your color sample and she picks out your paint. I get to the register and my bill is over $100 and this is with a 10% off coupon. Granted 10% isn't that much but geez, when did paint cost as much as a Coach clutch on clearance?? Next time I will stick to what I know...and I know paint is WAY cheaper and probably just as good at Walmart. read more

I will not go into detail the long long list of issues that I've had with Lowe's in Snellville Georgia. But I will say save yourself headache and frustration and from having to takeoff three days of work for their company to not show up. DO NOT shop at Lowe's!! Extremely poor customer service at Conyers Lowe's on Hwy 138. I just spent 45 minutes trying to get assistance. I found a kitchen faucet on clearance. But did not seen any on shelf. I stopped and associate that was walking but the aisle. The look on her face indicated she did not want to assist. I asked her if she would check to see if any of the faucets were in stock. She said she'd call some one to assist. 4 minutes later I heard the call on PA. I waited another 10. minutes. No one came. I called customer service. I was on hold an additional 5 minutes before I spoke with someone. She said she'd make another call on the PA. 2 minutes later the call was made. I waited another 10 minutes. No one came. I called customer service again. 5 minutes later spoke with same associate. I asked her if she could help since no one would come. After a little back and forth I finally got her to understand I simply wanted a stock check. She put me on hold. 3 minutes later she asked me for item number. Then told me it was out of stock. I asked her if I could purchase the display. She said she'd need to check with manager and put me on hold 8 minutes later she said manager said they don't sell displays. There was never an apology made for the wait. I have multiple purchase I need to make for a kitchen renovation. I will not be making them here. read more

Where are the zero stores. NEVER go to this store. I was still shopping near the end of their closing time at 8pm. I went to the register at 8:02pm on 12/01/19 and they refused to check me out saying all registers were closed. Whomever the woman was managing the registers had a nasty attitude. I couldn't see anyone hiring her to manage any facet of business. What a horrible store, definitely needs new management. Nearly makes me lose hope in commercial businesses in this area. I had a much better experience at the Conyers location, on 138. That'll be my go to Lowe's in the area from now on. NEVER again will I spend a dime at the Lithonia Fairington Rd location. Possibly the worst customer service experience ever. Saw a riding mower there I was interested in. Literally took them an hour and a half to determine what the price was. It had no price tag, etc. They "gave" me $100 off for the inconvenience. I paid to have it delivered to Powder Springs. Yes, they a store here but not with that mower. The mower was delivered. I checked the oil, connected the battery and put gas in it. It ran once and had an electrical issue. I called the store and after quite awhile someone answered. They advised me to bring it back. I responded that I cannot bring it back myself, it had been delivered because it is too big. I was transferred to another person who had the same response and was transferred to another person who suggested I mess with the throttle and some other things. I responded with I shouldnt have to do that with a new mower. He told me, Well I dont know what to tell you. I said thank you and hung up and called the powder springs store and the phone was answered in 3 rings. I was not transferred and she scheduled a pickup. The mower was delivered on Monday and picked up on a Thursday. I called corporate customer no service to inquire on the refund. I was told not to worry, they have strict policy on processing returns. I called corporate customer service again after about a week to check the status. I was advised that the mower had not been received back at the store. I was livid. Spent nearly on the phone with corporate and then a powder springs manager trying to locate the mower. The powder springs manager got someone from the Lithonia store who was off work to answer the phone and promised to handle it. I called him the next day and he was getting ready to process it. I called corporate to praise him. Too early to do that. Approximately a week later I am checking my credit card balance and see no credit back on the mower. Called corporate and get the we will get with the management team and get back with you in 48 hours. At this point I dont care to hear that. Customer service from corporate has been no help other than apologizing and saying this shouldnt happen. No shit! So, I head from powder springs to lithonia and call the lithonia store to speak to someone about the issue. I was transferred twice and not hung up on, but put on hold for literally an hour before I hung up. Got to the store and insisted I see the manager and was advised he/she was on vacation. I was passed to an assistant. So, after all this, I find out the mower was received back the day it was picked up. It WAS NOT lost. Nobody gave a shit until They had to deal with me face to face. I lost time from work. Took 3.5 hours of my Saturday going back and forth from the store and getting the BS straightened out. Had to pay 200 to get my grass cut. I WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER OFF BUYING FROM A CUB CADET DEALER, Paying a little more and having alot less headaches. The store in Lithonia did not give a shit until I was there in person. Corporate customer service supposedly passed the problem to the management team who went on vacation. Apparently, as long as they pass the problem on to someone else they are good. MY SUGGESTION IS KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS, DONT EXPECT THEM TO DO ANYTHING TO HELP OVER THE PHONE, KEEP TRACK OF WHO YOU SPOKE TO. This store is a joke. Went in today about 10am for some bathroom tile. I wanted to remodel my entire bathroom. Found the tile I wanted, needed 6 cases so I asked all around this store for an employee to help me. No one offered assistance and then told me an employee was not scheduled for the flooring department until 11:30am. I asked what a customer should do if they needed help before 11:30am in this section of the floor and was brushed off. I asked for a manager and was advised the manager, Donna, said she was too busy. Last night was the worse experience I have had with this Lowe's store in Lithonia. I went in to purchase a washer and dryer and a portable hanging closet to install. I press the button in the closet area for someone to come and help me. I literally had to press it twice and waited 30 minutes to 45 minutes for someone to show up and when the person showed up there was no customer service and I told him it's fine he can leave. I went back to the washer and dryer area where I told Miss Leoni who is very nice that I will be back because she had 2 to 3 customers in front of me when I first got there when I got back she left and went to lunch can't really be mad at her because she's the only one there all day and she had to take a lunch however, my friend went to the front and asked to speak to a manager, because we needed help in appliances to make a major purchase, he was told that the person that works in appliances is at lunch, but the manager, Miss Donna was right there at the front, which we feel she could've come and help I sat back there from 7 o'clock pm about to leave around 8pm and I saw Ms. Leone coming back from lunch. I still made the purchase because I need a washer and dryer. However, I did ask her to call the store manager Miss Donna, because at this point I felt the inconvenience of having to sit there over an hour to wait for someone to help me. She called Miss Donna twice over the intercom, and she did not one time call back or come to the appliance section , this will be the last time I shop at this Lowe's there used to be great customer service great people working there but last night was the worst. I went to several Lowes and wanted to get wood to repair stairs on my back deck, their saws for cutting were not working at all the Lowes I went. I asked for a manager to find out what was the problem and one manager walked right past me without saying one word completely ignoring me. This is piss poor business and customer service. The young lady in the paint department told me the sample ceiling I brought in wouldn't match 100%, because it was a popcorn ceiling. I was very disappointed. She then told me, my sample looked like regular white ceiling paint. She open a can tested it on my sample & it match perfectly. I left there a happy customer. read more

I recently visited the store on 12/24/2017. I originally when in to purchase a can of paint. I had nothing better to do so I browsed the store. I came across a refrigerator that I liked and it was on sale. It was a floor model. I spoke Kiara a sales person in that area. I asked if the store would consider accepting a little less for the demon unit. She was quite rude in her replies. I asked to speak with a manager and after discussing things with the manager he looked up the unit and discovered it was further discounted. Kiara didn't apologise for her rudeness or for not researching the device before she gave me incorrect information. I walked out of the store spending over $1800 because the manager saved the sell. Associates like her cost companies a ton of money due to lost sales. I will follow up with the store manager later. So if you see Kiara at the store, avoid contact with her. I hate spending money at stores with disrespectful employees. If it wasn't for the department manager, I would've went to Home Depot. read more

I wish I could give negative stars. This store went from having excellent service around 8-10 years ago to the pathetic service that you get there today. Associates try not to look in your eyes hoping that you don't ask them to do their jobs. They removed all of their buttons for customers to press when assistance was needed etc. They always lock the door at the contractor entrance during hours that the store is open. Many of the associates don't have a clue about what good customer service looks like. This morning I had an associate yell across the store in a very unprofessional manner. "My man" "We don't open until 9 o'clock" Lowe's should invest some of its earnings into teaching their employees good customer educate. Go to Home Depot instead of this place. Department : Appliances Thanks to : John and Tina We decided to buy a refrigerator from Lowe's after ours died at the another location close to me. After an unsuccessful fit (Tip : measure the space where your fridge will go with baseboards in mind) we decided to make a trip to Lithonia to get the refrigerator which was a floor model (we needed one ASAP) which hadn't been on the floor for long. Matt (very knowledgable) helped us and Tina was able to get it scheduled to be delivered next day as an add on. She did everything to her ability to get this fridge scheduled to get to us next day. Next day arrives and their third party delivery service was a nightmare to work with. This is why I am only giving this Lowe's 4 stars instead of 5 stars. As painful as that experience was, John (who wasn't present at the time of our purchase) did everything he could to ensure we kept in constant communication to let us know where we were with everything. He even called us on behalf of the third party service (who claims they could NEVER get in touch with us - which is hard to believe since we were glued to our phones) to keep us updated. Our LG was finally delivered the next morning after this whole ordeal and then we got a call from the Lowe's delivery manager stating he was sorry about our experience and was sending us a Lowe's gift card. Despite the challenges , this store did everything they could to help us out and gave a great customer service experience. SO happy we made the trip to this store. Thanks John and Tina! read more

In General, I have a positive view of Lowe's but NOT this store. Very unhelpful group of employee's if that is what you want to call them. They have no idea what they have in the store, they don't know what Lowe's policies are regarding anything, and the worst part........They spend more time playing with each other than helping the customers. Active duty overseas about to head back to retire and ordered not 1 but 2 LG fridges 2 weeks ago. Wife and 2 kids in states already at house with old fridge. 1st fridge is another store issue, but Lowe's over all because it was the same fridge on both orders. Delivery set for 07Jul2020 got an email Sunday night confirming. Company they use to deliver has a 1 star here on Yelp "Spirit Logistics Network" HD uses them also. Nice site sends you a GPS update link for EST time for delivery. Ours was about 4-4:45pm. About 2pm GPS feed goes dead. Call the number listed about 1600 nobody. Call the Lowes "Lithonia" listed on the receipt...Oh it was not put on the truck. After 2hrs on the phone calling from overseas to the store to find out....guess what we don't have them in stock in any of our warehouses in the US, but they are still listed on our WEBSITE as in stock....sorry....do you want to buy a more expensive one. Go the F%$ to He$*. Called the 1800 line...............same story......none in stock we can sell you X-Y-Z........with $20 off....I am online right now and that is a better deal. Try to call this store you will be bounced around from phone to phone think it took me 15mins to find a "person" to talk to. SHITORI tried to help but said her manager would not work with them trying to fix there mess up. Lowe's in Anderson, SC ended up giving me the same fridge model different color for about $1800. Total shit show from the start of phone calls. I'll go to Home Depot. Lowes has eliminated about 30 positions at each store to,include all the department managers. The only manager in the store is the store manager. They only hire PT so they don't have to pay benefits. Additionally they got rid of HR manager in each store as well. read more

had an oven delivered today and they cracked my kitchen tile and stole my gas line to the wall.

I bought StyleSelections peel-and-stick tiles from Lowes. Flooring sales person said to clean to existing vinyl tiles well, and simply peel these and stick them on. I looked at the instructions on the box, and they were ambiguous at best. The tiles didn't stick. Corners and edges were flipping up. On July 14, I went to Lowes, the sales people (and Store Manager) helped me file a complaint (I had photos from my kitchen floor - which I sent to the StyleSelections person while I was standing in Lowes) with the manufacturer, and I was told I'd hear from them in the next day or two. Two weeks later, hadn't heard from anyone, went back to Lowes to follow up. Was talking to the assistant store manager this time, who assured me they'd follow up. I mentioned that their own store display had a tile that had fallen out. (I have a photo of the display with missing tile - would post it here, but can't figure out how to do it). Still didn't hear anything after 3 or 4 more days. Went back to Lowes, told a guy in flooring about the problem, and he said he'd call StyleSelections tech support and have someone call me to help me. Haven't heard a word from anyone from Lowes or StyleSelections. I'm starting a home rehab company, and this $300 (now $1,000 after re-buying new tiles and paying labor again) experience will result in Home Depot getting all my future business.
