A Hotpoint 15.5 Cubic Foot Refrigerator displayed in the showroom area of the Appliance Outlet Store located at 32211 FM 2978 in Magnolia, TX 77354 was purchased on August 29, 2023. The unit we viewed was in pristine condition. The transaction was completed by Mike in the sales department. The unit was delivered the following week by a third-party delivery service contracted by Appliance Outlet. It was shrink wrapped upon arrival and was installed by the delivery personnel in a designated area of our garage between a wall and a shelving unit. Paperwork was signed and the delivery service departed. The front of the refrigerator was flawless, however, closer inspection revealed that there was severe damage to the upper, right-side corner and the upper right side of the freezer door and the lower right side front surface where the refrigerator door seals to the frame. The unit runs more than it should and consumes a lot of energy. Condensation forms inside the refrigerator section because the door will not seal properly. Mike, the salesperson, was contacted immediately. During our conversation, Mike mentioned that he did not recall any damage to the unit we were shown. Mike requested that we text pictures of the damaged areas for evaluation. Several days passed before a response was received by Mike, only to tell us that we needed to contact the customer service department because he was in sales and did not handle customer service or warranty issues. Four calls were placed with the customer service department before a response was finally received. Our request for a replacement unit or a refund was denied, and we have since been ghosted by Appliance Outlet. Two causes for the damage are possible: The first being we were shown the pristine refrigerator in the showroom and a damaged unit from the store warehouse was delivered instead (AKA bait and switch). Or the delivery service did not properly secure the refrigerator in the truck, and it fell over inside the truck while enroute causing severe damage. Neither the Appliance Outlet nor the delivery service will take responsibility or be accountable for the damaged unit.

While the shop as a whole embraced traditional furniture offerings, I occasionally ran across a few items in other styles (an oversized burl coffee table, boucle accent chairs, and various farmhouse pieces for example). The pricing is pretty competitive, especially if you're willing to overlook a few minor markings of wear and tear. It far more expensive than your Goodwill, or Junior Forum, but less expensive than your inner loop curated consignment boutique, and certain a better value that purchasing new. More than that I appreciate the demeanor of the staff. They're helpful but not at all overbearing. They're friendly and available without hovering. It's a relaxed, low pressure environment that allows the customer to feel comfortable taking their time to make decisions. In addition to carrying high quality furniture they also carry decor, framed artwork, jewelry, and handbags. It's my favorite piece of furniture in my house. We looked around and they have really nice 6pc bedroom sets for only $600. Queen mattresses for $200. Extra large corduroy recliners for $300. I was really blown away by all they had and how inexpensive it all was. Their store seems small but they pack plenty of furniture in there. If you don't see what you're looking for just as the sales person - they have other warehouses in that same shopping center packed with furniture. They probably have what you're looking for. We paid cash for our items but you can do 90 days same as cash financing. Except it's not really "same as cash" because if you finance you have to pay 10% more for the item - okay for some people, but we just preferred to pay cash and avoid the financing. They offer very reasonably prices delivery/assembly, too (around $50). They deliver it the same day or the next day (in my experience) and the 2 men who delivered and assembled our items were very friendly and quick at putting everything together. Our couch was delivered at night and they were both so kind to work late so they could come and put it together for us. I've told all my friends and co-workers looking for furniture to stop by here first. They have almost wholesale pricing and great service. You won't be disappointed.
