ZERO STARS!! WARNING! Lowe's is dishonest and cannot deliver as promised. They are quick to take your money and deliver NOTHING. Ordered a refrigerator and waited weeks for delivery. Calls to the appliance dept. manager proved unproductive. I was not successful in reaching the store manager. They kept calling me week after week telling me the fridge would be delivered next Friday, and I waited patiently, only to be disappointed once again. Finally the last week of promised Friday delivery, no calls were received so I had to initiate a call. I spoke to Frank, the ONLY honest employee who told me that the fridge was on backorder and he was sorry but could not tell me when it would be delivered. Why couldn't the dept. manager tell me that weeks earlier? If you have a family and no refrigerator, you know how inconvenient it is, and Lowe's just added to that inconvenience. What happened to honesty, integrity, and plain customer service? Just be honest with your customers. If Lowe's would have just told me the truth instead of just trying to make a sale, I would probably gotten another model, a sale would have been made and both parties would have benefitted, but the disrespect of my time and lack of customer relations experienced at Lowe's will guarantee that I will never do business with them again. read more

Wanting good customer service is wanting too much apparently. We ordered bathroom cabinets, counter tops, plumbing fixtures, kitchen appliances, Pergo flooring for our entire home. We ordered all this in July and we still don't have our bathroom up. Why? Because of mistakes on cabinets ordered, mistakes on counter top ordered and a bathroom tub faucet and spray with the diverter rod missing from the package that was told to us contained everything. Today I'm out of patients. Today Lowes showed me they really don't care about the customer only about taking your money. @ 6:36 I'm still waiting on a promised return call from Sarah. I phoned early this morning regarding the diverter missing from the moen faucet we purchased in July. Our plumbers were here to install a free standing bath tub and the faucet. As our plumbers look thru the items to be installed they noticed the diverter rod was missing. As they were working down the street he told my husband, no problem go back to Lowes and get it, call me when u get back and we'll still do the install today. What happened was my husband went to the customer service desk, was told by Sarah to go to plumbing to receive help from an associate in plumbing. That individual told my husband we would have to call vendor ourselves to have the missing diverter rod replaced. WHAT! My husband returned home with no diverter rod for our install. Since when is it the customers responsibility to take care of a part missing from merchandise sold? We we're told when we purchased this item...a open box item that everything we need was there. The associate that helped us order the special order bathroom cabinets and counter tops "Oscar" personally looked in the box and verified everything was there. So we took the moen faucet home. We found out today it was not. We are also still waiting for the vanity fillers and glue to install the vanity tops we did not receive with our bathroom cabinet order. Oscar now at the pro desk reordered the items 6 to 8 weeks ago.(I've lost time all sense of time, it's been so long) we had not received any updates as to why we had not received our items. My husband had to go into Lowes, spoke with another associate and was told the items had not been received and since 30 days had past they would have to resubmit the order. We have now been without our bathroom for 3 months. I told this to Sarah today and she said she had to go to lunch but, she would phone me with a solution when she got back. Sarah phoned said she told me that the faucet we purchase did not come with the diverter rod and had to be purchased separately. I looked at the box and that was not correct as the parts list included the diverter. She ask for the sku number and found I was correct. She proceeded to tell me the she would have to special order the part from the vendor as this was a special order moen faucet. I told her we had not special ordered this faucet, Oscar had pulled it from the shelf. Sarah then told me it might have been ordered for another customer and then returned to the store. I told her apparently since this item was opened it was possible that a customer opened the package used the diverter rod and returned it to the store without the part. The items returned should always be checked to insure that all parts included on the parts list are returned for resale purposes. This whole situation could have been avoided. Sarah told me she would order the part also check on the status of our bathroom parts reordered and not received and she would phone me back. As I write this it is 7:17pm and still no call from Sarah or any other associate from Lowes. When I phoned this morning and asked for the store manager, I was given to Sarah. I have since been made aware that Sarah is not the Store manager. That I should have been connected to Anna. At this point why?... several associates have been involved and no one follows up on items not received by the customer from the vendor. I worked years for a home improvement store as a kitchen design associate and as a project coordinator. I knew customer service is important. read more

I ordered 48 cases of Pergo last July and installed 25 of them while in remission from cancer. In August my cancer returned and I had to go back on Chemo. We kept the remaining Pergo figuring I'd install it after I was done with Chemo. I found out last week I'm not coming off Chemo this time. On Wednesday Feb 11 I called the Oxnard store to talk to the manager 3 times throughout the day to see if I could return it even though it was outside the return window. Every time I called the manager was in a meeting. On the 3rd call they told me the head cashier can do that so I talked to her. I explained the whole situation and how long it had been, she looked up the item number and said they still carried it so they would take it back. I had my son come over that evening before work and load 1200lbs of Pergo into truck. The next morning I went to Lowe's and had to unload it onto a cart myself. Luckily another customer saw me struggling with the cart and helped me push it into the store. Once in the head cashier said it wouldn't let her do it because it had been 6 months. She got someone else who said straight out no. I explained that the id called the day before at which point the head cashier changed her story to I didn't tell her it was out of return window (why else would I have called). I asked to talk to the manager several times and was refused. I told her I'd take store credit or an exchange to have carpet installed in the area I couldn't get to. I tried to explain that they told me yes the day before and I had no one to help me unload it when I got home, there had to be some kind of deal we could work out. She eventually had two guys come push my cart outside and put it back in my truck. To be clear I'm not upset that they don't want to take back stuff outside of the return window. I'm upset they told me on the phone they would then changed their story trying to cover their buts when I got there and refused to let me talk to the manager. read more

Is there a way to give no stars? These guys are crooks. I bought a drum auger which turned out to be defective, and when I tried to return it, they gave me a bs excuse about not being able to return products used to clean drains because of a biohazard risk. Seriously? No one is going to re-buy this. It's not going back on the shelf because it completely unraveled and broke when I used the drill attachment, leaving a length of wire in my shower drain. This is just a dodge to get around returning defective products. The manager didn't even care when I pointed out my dissatisfaction, and how I can easily drive one more block up the street to Home Depot from now on. Awful service. Awful product quality. You're better off going to Home Depot where their employees actually know what they're talking about and practically bend over backwards to help you learn what you need and how to use it. Shame on you, Lowe's. I hope you go out of business. read more

There is hardly any people around you can ask for assistance for and when there is it seems like they want to avoid you instead of asking if you need help with anything. I recently went to buy blinds I waited for a very long time just to get them cut...I went a week later to buy a new set to finish my living room and no one was around again so i just bought them and cut them myself poor customer service. read more

Corporate greed at its best. $40.00 charge to have a floor installer come to my house an give an estimate on floor installation!! I had 3 other smaller stores come and not one ask for payment. Corporate greed!!! Lowes should be ashamed. New home owner here, I was planning on spending several hundreds of dollars at the Lowes which is 5 blocks from my house. I will never shop there again and cancelled my Lowes credit card. Corporate greed is disgusting and the smaller privately owned flooring stores all provided great quotes for free. read more

The customer service was ok. The people working I the floors customer service was at four star at least to my face they seemed to care. But don't ever but an appliance from this store, especially if you plan on special ordering something paying thousands of dollars, it comes in a month late and it's all dinged, scratched, dented and obviously struck with a fork lift! And they barely helped me with anything not to mention the delivery was late and by late I mean next day late! I would not recommend but an appliance from here unless you see it right in front of you and you make sure it's working. read more

Unbelievably bad client retention. Gabby and Ana, and even the smartly dressed rep in the paint department, don't seem to understand that customer are doing physical labor, and don't need to shop at Lowes for a bag full of attitude. Then recieve detailed and condescending instructions on how customers should make the Lowes employees job easier on the customers next visit. Sorry, no next visit now. We usually shop at the Ventura Lowes store since it is closer to us. Bought a mirror closet from the Ventura store but discovered one of the sliding mirror doors was defective half way through installation. Took the one door back to Lowes in Ventura but they didn't have any in stock to do the exchange. Suggested for us to check with the manager at Lowes in Oxnard since they have the inventory in stock. The Oxnard Lowes Customer Service staff was very courteous and called the manager from that department for further assistance. Manager Brian came shortly and after we explained our situation with the defective door, he approved the exchange with a smile. He asked Eddie who works in the department to bring a new box and assist us with exchanging just the one sliding door. The entire process was painless and very professional. Thank you Manager Brian, Eddie and the Customer Service team members. They are AWESOME!!! read more

Went to Oxnard from Santa Barbara to shop at Lowe's. Had difficulty finding anyone to help me load 40 orchid terra cot flower pots into the cart. The person who finally helped me did the minimal amount of work to help me. Got to check out where the female clerk was chatting with two co-workers. I asked if they had a way to wrap them as I had to drive back to SB. She said no, and I asked why. Her comment was, "We are just a hardware store." I left feeling like I was disrespected and not planning to return. read more

We paid $40 to get out house measured for carpet. We picked a carpet, we just hadn't decided on the color. When we went back to pick the color, they loaned out the carpet board. They only have one of each carpet type and they loan them out. This has got to be the worst business practice. We are going to try and get out $40 back. It's unbelievable that you go in and you don't get to see all the carpet they have to sell. We would have spent $5000 and we are going to take our business elsewhere. The employee told me they have been trying to get this changed for years. They have no idea who has the carpet samples. We can't be the only one who's gone to anther company to buy carpet. read more

I had a wonderful experience here today! I needed a lawn mower this morning. I was able to locate the one I needed while speaking with David on the phone. HE WAS THE MAN! He was so awesome, he answered all of my questions and had it all ready for me! He is so knowledgeable, friendly and had the BEST Customer service! I thought I would make him go crazy with all of my silly questions.... but I didn't! Thanks Rey, in appliances for helping us pick out and order all of our appliances. We had to special order to fit the demensions. Rey helped us pick out all matching pieces and went over prices and delivery dates and even printed out the information for us. Big kudos to Rey. The 5 stars is for my review regarding Daniel in the restroom /plumbing fixtures. We have a big project and needed to buy about 3 carts of items and I had a list. Daniel went aisle by aisle assisting us and going over the items. We even waited for him while he helped a lady to her car. We were happy to wait. The other guy in that department doesn't seem to be to happy about his job . He just points at where the things are. I purposely avoid him! On this day we had been shopping for hours. He even made sure my mom was okay because she wasn't feeling too good especially shopping for hours! Daniel even scanned our items to make checkout easier . I overheard a coworker mention Daniels lunch was soon, so I tried to hurry and he explained his lunch could wait! The next few times I've gone in, I have looked for him and he has helped me even if it's a different department. Talk about customer service at its finest. In today's world, where everyone is in a hurry and pist off , it is so nice to find someone so helpful and pleasant. Management I hope you take notice in Daniel. He is the only reason why I return to Lowes in Oxnard. read more

I like going to Lowe's for the customer service. I feel like the associate helping me knows what they're talking about and they prove that by suggesting items I actually need to complete an install. I've never had that kind of help at Home Depot. The selection at Lowe's is definitely not up to par with home depot. So, it's a tough decision when I'm shopping for home products. Do I want some good customer service or lots of selection??? I guess it all comes down to how much help I need in figuring my purchase out. read more

Went to purchase a refrigerator .. Associate Ben, very helpful. Went out of his way to help us from finding product to completing sales. When it was delivered it did not fit down our hallway.
