I enjoy going here to look at the clearance section and also find myself oftentimes looking for a solid frame for a picture I need to frame for my household or am gifting. At regular prices, the frames are not worth it, but if they go on sale, it's a good deal. They have some high-quality products here, but the prices are pretty high. If you're patient enough, you might be able to wait until something goes on sale and get something for a good deal. A nice store but not real organized. I found it difficult to fine certain items and when I asked for help I was sent in a couple different directions. It seems several items are in several differ places. It was very busy because of the holidays so maybe when it's not so busy it will be easier to maneuver. Caution. Sales prices have all kinds of exclusions. I never go to this store because every time is a nightmare. And it is 2025. Will you get these checkers some scanners?? I went into the Oxnard California store to get stuff for a holiday party! This store was in disarray. There were boxes ladder's trash garbage Rude employees! I am a senior and I use a walker and couldn't get down any of the aisles due to boxes ladders It is just a horrible place to shop I would not recommend this place to shop if you are in a wheelchair or Walker or your blind of any type of disability. The hobby lobby is in need of new management! How is one going to get around in this mess? Stocking should all be done at night not on a business day. It is an inconvenience to your shoppers. This is a fairly decent Hobby Lobby. We hadn't been to this branch before, but we were looking for something specific and didn't find it at the JoAnn's next door (which is a horrible store!). There are definitely other Hobby Lobby locations that we like better, but we were able to find what we needed - and a few more things too. Honestly one of my favorite stores to get lost in. I'm an artist that loves trying new medium from vinyl to paint to yarn etc and they have it all with a few extra things in between. This store totally caught me by surprise. I've heard from many friends how cool this store was, but it wasn't until today where I finally was able to have my own, Hobby Lobby experience! Without even actually walking into the store, I began to get excited and had a good feeling from simply what I saw in the window display, which were a few furniture pieces that were definitely my style. As soon as you walk in, the size and openness of the store is quite overwhelming because it's very light, open and spacious. The aisles are spread out pretty well and therefore it doesn't feel claustrophobic. Not only will you find cute furniture pieces like shelves and chairs but they also have a huge arts and crafts selection. Like scrap booking?! Well they sell a ton of supplies for that as well, located closer to the back of the store. I personally LOVE all the home decor! They sell cases, picture frames and decorative pillows. I would have to say, if HomeGoods and Michael's had a baby...Hobby Lobby would best describe it. read more

I love Hobby Lobby and all the variety you can usually find at the Hobby Lobby stores. So, when I discovered there was one close, I had to check it out. This one was packed with items for decoration and for crafts. However, one thing I found missing was no fabric section with leathers and outside fabrics. Thus, it was off to other stores. read more

This location has horrible service I asked for help locating spears on the display tree and the lady just pointed to go look for them myself after not being able to find what I wanted. I stood in line for 1hr 20 minutes. All cashiers looked annoyed and unhappy to be at work no one was welcoming, smiling or cheerful. I will never visit this store again they were horrible and no one knew where anything was or what they were doing themselves. read more

I stopped in here the other day, worried it would be an overly religious store. It was not at all - I actually didn't see anything that stood out as Christian, which surprised and pleased me. It is almost Halloween and they had a fair selection of decorations related to the holiday. That said, it's not yet Halloween and it almost felt as if a good 15% of their entire store (and it's a big store) was devoted to Christmas already. Well, the good news is if you want to start your Christmas decoration shopping early, this place has what you need, pretty much guaranteed. They had TONS of ornaments, stockings, wreaths, door hangers, and home décor. Actually that was the other thing that surprised me - the relative lack of crafting stuff and overwhelming majority of home décor stuff. I saw some knitting/sewing/yarn craft supplies, lots of silk flowers, some DIY wedding crafts and framing supplies and some other basic stuff, but nothing like going to Michaels or JoAnns. I get that most places don't do fabric these days, but I didn't see any real sections for beads/jewelry, clay/sculpting, scrapbooking/paper crafts, baking/cake decorating, etc. Maybe they were there and I just couldn't find them in the mass of vintage metal signs and organizing baskets. I dunno, it just felt like a weird cross between some sort of simple craft/homemaking store and a home décor store. I didn't end up finding anything I needed/wanted to buy (ok not true, I wanted to buy some fake foods, but didn't want to splurge on the prices those things command) and didn't interact with any staff, though I did see several smartly dressed employees putting out merchandise and organizing the store. Last note, on the topic of fake food - this store has some really nice fake foods including plastic produce, pastries, cupcakes, desserts, grapes and cheeses. I was impressed by the nice quality of these items and the variety offered here. Not exactly "crafty" so much as for designers of home décor, but the products were still very cool. Parking can be a bit hard to find since it's next to a joann's and Ross, which hint the reason it's missing a star. I absolutely love this place! You can find almost everything you need in one location. I usually spend hours here walking down most of the isle. Best of all you can use the 40% off one item coupon from their website! They're opened 6 days a week and close on Sunday which not bad because they do think of their employees and their family. read more

So far I've only had great experiences here. But this isn't my first Hobby Lobby location, so I already kind of know how they arrange the store. And when I went my first time, it was with someone that already knew that store, so I haven't had any of the customer service issues many people have complained about. This location has basically everything as other locations, but no fabric. The reason they give is that it's a smaller store... The reason I assume is because Joanne's Fabric store is their neighbor. No need to attempt that competition unless you're willing to have a next to nothing margin on fabric. There are always great sales here and it's nice being so close to Joanne's, which has some crafts, and just a few exits away from a great Michael's. It's helps with bargain shopping, checking prices, and knowing that if one store doesn't have something you need asap you have others close by. Personally, I don't care about their political views. Everyone has a right to their own beliefs and where they put their money. This is just a craft store, nothing religious here. Overall, definitely a fantastic place for all things crafty! Check online for coupons you can use in store. Always shop the sales, which they make easy to do. read more

I was just there an my daughter purchased jars to make candles for an entrepreneurial opportunity at school. We were charged for more jars than we purchased. We got home and we unpacked all our items and began making a spreadsheet of their costs when we realized we were overcharged. I called the store and they told me I would have to repackage all my items and bring them back in. I live 25 minutes away. I can't. If Hobby Lobby is going to have a counting system of items rather than scanning each one - errors are going to happen all the time. This is a broken system and one unfortunately that affects me directly. Our checker was Ava. It would be helpful if your employees would count items correctly to reduce people being overcharged with nothing they can do about it. read more

I love crafting!! I have tons of stuff at home from sewing, to scrap booking, making jewelry, carving, and my new obsession the cricut machine, along with everything that is needed. Every week if not everyday I like to try new things so I head over to hobby lobby since they've opened it. I hope I find somewhere new to shop because the harassment I receive EVERY SINGLE TIME I go is ridiculous. You would think they would remember me by now since I spend so much money here and I visit often. But NOOO!! The second time I went in there, the cashier had the manager come over and check my 20s 10s and 5s. WOW!! I obviously was infuriated because I was the ONLY ONE they did this to. My friend actually took out his debit card to pay when he seen what they did because it's embarrassing. So I said loudly, "did anyone else's 10s and 5s get checked? No! Just mine?! Ohh ok cool. Make sure you check my ones cuz I just had a whole new batch made!" Today I went in and I left a few things but purchased some. Not only was there a second girl standing at the end of the cash register making signs at the cashier. Well when I went to grab my bags, I asked "these are mine? pointing at them" and she grabbed the other things I left and hugged them tightly as I grabbed my bags.. so I told her "yea grab them good cuz I might take them with me." Obviously being sarcastic because they're so ridiculous!! I even had an older lady following me the whole time and q every time I was walking out of an isle she would cut me off and say "oh Sorry". As I'm walking to the registers I tell her, " I'm walking towards the front if you wand follow me there cuz I might take something." As I'm walking out of the scattered isles and towards the register, she cuts me off again!! She actually followed me up their!!! I cannot shop here any longer!! Went to the "soft" opening today at 10AM. Was not overly crowded, browsed the store for almost 2 hours. Staff was VERY helpful, and friendly. The store does not have a fabric department, due to it being right next to JoAnn's. I personally thought that was really thoughtful of them as a new business coming in. However, JoAnn's and Fabric Town are just about the only fabric options available these days. Selection of items was amazing!!! Home decor was very fun to look through, especially if you are into themed centered rooms. Lots of craft supplies, great prices. I will not go back to Michael's, a store I only went to because there was no other option. While I live in Ventura, and really don't like driving to Oxnard (just over crowded), I will because this store is worth it! My only "issue" the aisles are rather narrow, and one can just make it when you pass another customer with the same shopping cart. read more
