I went here on a gorgeous day for a friend's birthday. It was a decent experience. The best thing about this place is the layout and the Beer Garden itself. I wasn't overly impressed with the prices and the service. I ordered a queso and chips with no Chorizo. It was good, but I didn't think anything else looked worth getting. You have to order at the counter and they also include a tip in your total. This is at the counter and for the bar. This is what I ordered: Colorado Braised Beef $13 Braised beef, caramelized onion, horseradish crème, Swiss cheese on a French roll with a side of au jus. Mine had no onions or horseradish creme. It was just a pile of meat with this incredibly salty jus that seemed more like straight soy sauce. I ordered a side of fries and the longest fry was probably 2 inches long and most in the half inch range. Maybe since my order was to go they figured they would give me the leftover fries? Great Lowry location with plenty of parking, this place has outdoor bench seating that allows for a comfortable seating environment, with most covered, and heaters available if your thermostat isn't fully functioning. Unique system where you go to the rear of the property to order food and beverages in seperate lines, so they do not have table service. They have an excellent, versatile menu, and I have really enjoyed what I have ordered, especially the tasty poke bowl choice last time. Burger was great!!! Also the hand cut fries are good. One thing that they had that we both loved was the ranch dressing... I know that's a strange thing to call out, but it was good (especially with the fries and the little chicken nuggets). My wife also said the salad was good. I'm sitting on the patio and I wish I would have asked the bartender her name because she was so sweet! I am trying to socialize my reactive dog and the bartender went out of her way to walk my drink out to me without me even asking. I think she could just tell that I was nervous to leave my dog ,scared alone on the patio. She made an AWESOME basil Paloma for me and gave me some nice words of encouragement. It's hard to navigate scenarios with a previously abused dog and just her words alone made me feel so much better! My husband and I love this brewery. Not only is the beer good but the food is tasty! Both the beer and food menu are extensive. I had a hard time picking what I wanted. I do like that you order up at the bar and they give you a pager to let you know once your food is ready. It's open seating but there are a lot of big picnic tables and people are friendly enough to share tables. Big plus is the rocket ice cream shop! read more

The beers are craft and the three I had were all delicious; including the ever elusive "Pliny the Elder" from Russian River. The beer baristas are knowledgeable and helpful, pairing the right beer with your meal or palette. I had the elk and jalapeño sausage and added the Airforce 1 toppings which included cream cheese, caramelized onions, and jalapeños on a roll of some sort that appeared to be fresh baked, Green Chile fries ( fries with cheese sauce and green chiles) and of course, a beer. Perhaps, the fact that I was starving had a little bit to do with my lapsus mentus. I'm a rookie at LBG but the learning curve is almost non-existent. Go up front, order what you want, and take the, "your order's ready vibrator" back to your table. The food items will satisfy carnivore and herbivore taste buds equally and the suds will wash it all down. The restaurant is family style and the crowd ranges from hipsters to soccer moms and it's perfect for first date or family get-togethers. The pop and Arnie Palmer's flow infinitely so the kiddos might get a bit charged if left unattended. I give this spot a solid 4 stars and hope to frequent it more often. read more

Kicking myself for having this spot bookmarked for years, but still never quite making my way over. How great is Lowry Beer Garden?! Very close to the house (5 miles or so), this was the reason that pushed me to finally stopping in on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I wanted some drinks, some food, and a pup-friendly patio and Lowry Beer Garden checked all three boxes. I learned that this is located in a little area called Hangar 2 which is home to the former Lowry Air Force Base. Lowry Beer Garden sits right next to Wings over the Rockies Museum and right behind Rocket Ice Cream (look for the big, silver rocket, and big, silver airplane! you can't miss them). A handful of restaurants, coffee shops, cafes - why did I have no idea this place was here?? I will definitely be making my way over again VERY soon. Okay, back to the Beer Garden...they expanded their outdoor patio area, so there is a TON of seating available. They also have some tables inside if you prefer. We lucked out and scored the only table available at around 3pm, but I think the folks after us had a little bit of a wait. Service was great and they had a good selection of beers and cocktails on the menu. Food was also great - I ordered the Salmon BLT and the hubs got in on one of their burgers, the Mt. Elbert. I LOVED their fries - both the regular french fries and sweet potato fries. Could go for both again right about now. Just a great place to grab a drink, grab some food, and even take a stroll in the museum next door afterwards, if that's what you're feeling. Can't wait to go back on the next sunny day! read more

Their food selection is better than most bar food, with a good selection of salads, sandwiches, burgers, brätts, and sides. They have fantastic seating for small or large groups. This is a great spot for a beer and a hot dog, burger or some snacks. This is ideal for visitors to the Wings Over the Rockies, as it's right next door. The food is quick and delicious and the service is very friendly. The Windy City dog is filling and delicious. Toasted bun, peppers, mustard and onions. I added sauerkraut. The onion rings were crispy and well worth it. I nibbled on my kid's chicken tenders and those are quite tasty. The fries were good, not great. The soft drinks are great. They have coke, but their flavored sodas, which include lemon limeade, creme soda, and others. They have 16 beers on tap with a nice variety, not just IPA garbage. Great spot! We enjoyed a Memorial Day lunch at Lowry Beer Garden today. It was a pretty warm day and the shady spots were quite popular, so we ended up sitting slightly outside "the garden". Would love it if Lowry Beer Garden invested in more umbrellas to increase shady spots available. I myself am highly in favor of misters being installed throughout the venue, to help infuse a more enjoyable ambiance for a warm day While there is staff there to help clear dishes and run food, it's mostly a "self-service" for silverware and napkins, a buzzer is used so when the food is ready you are notified and don't have to stand waiting and listening for your name. A great thing about Lowry Beer Garden is it offers a variety of food options including some hearty sounding salads. In terms of food, I had a Eisenhower hot dog, which was tasty with caramelized onions and jalapeño cream cheese, the bun however was more of sandwich bread... we also shared a side of Brussels spouts and sweet potato fries. I would give the Brussels 8/10, could have used some garlic/ onion. My partner had a burger and found it appealing. One of our favorite parts was all the dog/ puppy action to be had. I'm sure that their beer is good. I'm a non drinker myself so I can't comment on that part. But what I can say is there were 3 of us and we each had a meal. Mine was a hamburger and onion rings, one friend was a sandwich and fried pickle, lastly my other friend had fish and chips. They must have drop the salt shaker on the sides. It was ridiculous, none of us could finish the sides it was so heavily salted. Tried brushing it off, but that was useless. A few hours later at home I was sicker than a dog paying homage to the porcelain god. Never again, sorry to say. Good note is a wonderful job of social distancing with the outdoor seating. read more

Their twist in the Cuban sandwich is tasty, the poke bowl is fresh and flavorful, the burgers juicy and delicious. The atmosphere is casual and clean with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.
