Came for the grand opening and it was clear how many people were thrilled to have this location! What a beautiful historic building it's in and the newly paved patio has us imagining spending time outside with a cold beer in the future. Like the other location, you order at the bar. Considering how busy it was, I was impressed how fast our food came out. We got the fried chicken sandwich, fries, corndog frankfurter, and a Bavarian pretzel with cheese sauce. We would definitely get the pretzel, cheese sauce, and fried chicken sandwich again! We brought the kids too. Minors are allowed until 9pm. Kids were not that impressed but the adults will be back! hi! I want to start this off by saying I'm a server bartender, and had gotten off of a 9 hour busy shift before coming from my local pub I work at. My friends and I came around 9, and it seemed pretty busy. Long story short, their was a super pretty bartender who was female presenting with red hair. She tells us that she in the only one on staff and to find a seat and she would be over. A little bit of an attitude, but I get it, they are busy. We waited for 20 mins, and ended up having to get our own menus. We then watched her help three new tables that had walked in after us. Not super cool, but I get it. Turns out there is another employee there, so she lied I guess? He takes our drink and food orders and was nice and timely. The drinks were good and our food came about 45-50 mins in. But it's busy, so I get it. The female presenting bartender brought us our food, and we realized it was missing an advertised item. It was the Irish fries, and it did not come with carrots. It was also kinda cold, but we chose not to say anything about that, so that's on me. That's not a big deal, but we ironically got it soley for the carrots. We ask for her to come back, and very politely tell her that we don't see any carrots and just if there was any way to check and see if we could get them on the side. No apology, except she said "I've never had it, I wouldn't know. it's a new special and has been here for two days". Okay and? Thats literally the same job I have, and I would have treated the situation so differently. She comes back, and tells us that they ran out. No offer to a different solution, no apology, just being rude and dismissive about it. I understand that our male server probably didn't know, and could have told us before we ordered with him, but we are still customers at the end of the day. Look, I'm usually a die hard 30% tipper and I only tipped 2$ on the tab. Since I work in the area, and in the industry, I myself have even recommended to customers at my job that I have heard good things about loyal legion and they should check it out. My friends and I wanted a second round of drinks, but ultimately decided against because we didn't want to give y'all our money with how we were treated. I was excited to, but the service time was so long and the attitude was not appreciated :( I don't want to be a Karen, and never post bad reviews of places. Plenty of seating inside and out. Outside is a bit sunny without a lot of shade, bring a hat. Place your order at the bar and they will deliver your food to your table, but there isn't table service. The bar service is excellent with a huge variety of brews and ciders. Excellent variety of alcohol available. I ordered the roasted Brussels sprout salad $13.00 and it was burnt. Returned it for a non burnt dish, the waitress was not happy and had a poor attitude. The replacement bowl wasn't burnt but definitely overdone and dry. Two glasses of water and I still tasted the burnt flavor. Not worth the hour drive from our house. We did notice a lot of breweries in Beaverton, a nice surprise. read more

They also make some good cocktails and a good smash burger. It's pretty much counter service style with first come, first serve. This place suffers from being too popular. Parking is a nightmare since this is in a hotspot of popular places, with mostly street parking or over priced mini lots. You have to order at the bar, if you can get someone's attention. Good luck if they can hear you. Even when the place isn't full it's too noisy to hear the person across the table from you, and while I enjoy thumping music normally it doesn't help here. Finding a table can be a battle. Grab a table when it's dirty and HOLD it. Hopefully someone will eventually clean it. Don't ever leave it unattended or someone will take it. All that being said, wow this food is good. Great burgers, crispy fries, everything I have ordered here is great. If I was here with a smaller group and plenty of time it would be perfect. read more

My double patty smashed burger was very tasty and so was the Hazy IPA. The inside has a pub feel to it that was comfortable. I didn't like the bolted to the floor tables and the requirement that you put in your order with the barman. It probably is for the owners to keep costs down. The BLT is so good! Thick slices of bacon all packed into an amazing sandwich. There's plenty of workers walking around that are actively bringing orders, cleaning tables and answering any questions customers have. You have to order at the bar and wait for your drinks then go back to your seat which seemed little odd to me since there are so many workers walking around already. Why not have service at the tables? If you're a heavy drinker like my husband, he was going back and forth multiple times haha. Not a huge deal to me (maybe my husband) but if I had to make any negative comment, that's my only gripe. Other than that the experience was great!! I'm reviewing again because the service at Loyal Legion sucks. I ordered a chicken sandwich, which comes with habanero aioli, but I asked or regular aioli because I don't like spicy. The bartender said ok and put it in. When my food came, the server handed it to me and said "chicken sandwich with regular aioli" but it actually did have habanero on it! I went in to tell the bar I couldn't eat it. He was like "no problem, let's comp that and get you a new one" I took my number and went back to my table. Waited, waited ... my friends finished their food and drinks. It got late. Still no sandwich. Finally we were ready to leave so I went back to the bar to check and he said "oh they still haven't gotten to it, there's a lot of orders!" ....OK but why wasn't this "make up" sandwich bumped to the top of the list? So I was there for more than two hours and didn't get to eat. This is the second time I've had horrible service there and I think that's enough. Won't be going back. Walking in for the first time it is very confusing. Where to go or what to do. Eventually I saw a small sign off to the side that said to take a menu and seat yourself. After watching for a while I still could not figure out where to order, so I had to ask. I had the Super Smash Burger and a nitro IPA. Other than creating a nice head on the beer, I don't see the reason - but that's probably pretty subjective. The burger as average if I'm being generous. The both the bun and patties fell apart. It had bacon, but there was no smoky flavor that you would expect The sauce, pickles, tomatoes and lettuce all had a lack of flavor. It seemed to me that the produce is of a lesser quality than I would expect for a $12 burger. Not a bad burger, just not worth remembering. It thing that really got me was the amount of dust that was on all of the lights that hand directly above the tables - where you eat. Knowing that they have been open for 7-8 months and how well lite the area is - it was hard to miss. But it makes me have concern about if they are not cleaning the obvious - what else is not being cleaned. read more

I was finally able to visit this location and glad I did. It's a nice atmosphere with a fun, fresh vibe - a great addition to the Beaverton Neighborhood. It has a really wide variety of beers on tap. I ended up meeting a friend here for a few cocktails and we shared fries. It was a Thursday night and the place was already hopping around 4:30. I was able to get two seats at the bar. The service was a little slow even at the bar but everyone was nice. The only part I think needs improvement is that you seat yourself and you have to go up to the bar to order. It's not comfortable if you are sitting at the bar and have people hovering over you to get in their order. They should designate a place at the bar to take these orders. read more

Loyal Legion is a welcome addition to Beaverton. I was a fan of their original location on the eastside and this location delivers what we've come to expect - an impressive list of local taps of all varieties, a selection of old fashioned's as well as a few other cocktails for the non-whiskey drinking crowd. They also have a full food menu (sausages, burgers, pub snacks.) at reasonable prices to go with their drinks. As for the space, I love what they've done to this place that used to be a dance studio. The bar is gorgeous. There are plenty of booths and seating arrangements for both large and small groups. It does get loud in the main room with the music and all of the other conversations but the side room is much quieter and I prefer it. They've also got a large patio which should be great for the summer. When busy, it can be difficult to find a seat, just like the original location. People tend to get packed up at the front as you have to order from the bar (makes sense, as it's a bar). But, I have found that the bartenders are pretty quick and you can usually find a spot. I'd recommend timing your visit to off hours though if you have a larger group. Definitely check out Loyal Legion if you're looking for drinks and some food while in Beaverton. read more

We were there on a Friday night and the Ducks were on, but there were only two bartenders for the whole room. Needless to say, service was a bit slow because the bar staff was overworked. I loooove loyal legion so to see them doing well after the pandemic and opening a second location in downtown beaverton was such a treat. the space itself is stunning with a big oval bar right in the center with spacious booths inside, a secret upstairs private dining type area and tons of outdoor seating for the summer months.. this is such a great addition to the area. They have at least 100 Oregon taps for beer and cider as well as a pretty awesome cocktail program. The food is the same as their southeast location but I love everything they do, particularly their sausage bowls(Olympia provisions sausage) and burgers. Loyal Legion is a Portland staple and I'm so glad they've added another location on the west side of the river. read more

Tap list is mighty. They have an upstairs speakeasy that opens at 5, similar to their Portland location which has theirs downstairs. However, I felt like I was putting the servers out. It was disappointing to feel unwelcome, as I liked their Portland location and the service there much more. The food was pretty decent at the Portland spot, too. I might give them another try a few years down the line, since it felt like the current staff were a bit avoidant or reluctant to interact with guests. I probably would have ordered more beer and stayed longer, but.. I really felt awkward, like I was inconveniencing folks. We had been to this location prevously when they had a pop up market. It was great to see how it transformed as it really is such a beautiful space. Even though the menu is limited and casual I was impressed with what we did have. I loved the mac n cheese and our friend ordered the brussel sprouts salad. These both would be my go to dish if I was to go back. The one thing no one liked was the tomato soup with the homemade cheese crackers. The soup was rather bland and I think the crackers sounded cooler than they actually were. I was amazed at how efficent this place was. There was not an open table when we dinned there, but yet, once we placed our order I think our food arrived in less than 10 minutes. Decided to try again on a Friday at lunch, and it didn't not disappoint! If you haven't been, you need to order at the bar, and seat yourself, I like this casualness, but it's probably harder to bring my kids here. Ordered couple beers, they offer a half pour for most the menu too, my wife's stout was a pretty generous half pour. I had the super smash burger, pretty much how I remembered from their original location on the east side, delicious, some cripyness on the edge of the meat, fresh vegetables, wasn't sure if the bun was warmed up, but no biggie. My wife had the kasekrainer, she thought it was good, I do want to note the sauerkraut is $1 extra. Our beers were fine, really felt indifferent about the taste, will certainly be back to try some other beers on tap. Fun new addition to Downtown Beaverton. Come for the 100 beer options, stay for the dirty fries. The interior is fun and feels more upscale than your normal tap house. Gets crowded early. We Arrived at 4 and it was every man for himself. You just find a seat,gird your loins and belly up to the bar to order. It's a bit like the stock exchange but service is efficient. We had jalapeno burger (doesn't come with anything. Just a flat burger. It was just a basic cheeseburger (meh!). The Brat was good but the carmelized onion and warm Kraut that accompanied it brought it to the next level. The pretzel and cheese sauce were everything we wanted it to be gooey, smokey, deep and flavorful. The dirty fries are excellent. And they have a full bar and serve great food I often go to their Beaverton location, in a beautifully remodeled former bank, with lots of comfortable indoor seating (booths, separate tables & a large 2-sided bar) with a large covered outdoor area with heaters. They're in the up & coming Beaverton restaurant mecca and in my view rate highly compared to many tap houses and restaurants in the area. read more
