The Plunge was a pleasant discovery after I saw a play on the Broadwater main stage. It's a small space that gets cramped when people pack in after curtain call, but it's worth popping in for a cocktail to talk about the show with your companions - and possibly with the actors themselves. I loved the classy, Old Hollywood aesthetic, and I didn't mind the classic cocktail menu (no cutesy-named, experimental drinks). I had a Manhattan, breathtakingly strong, served in a coupe glass. The prices weren't outrageous and the bartenders were pleasant. I was absolutely delighted to discover shelves of stageplays that one can flip through whilst enjoying their drink. For this playwright and erstwhile theatre actor, the Plunge is a perfect spot.

The experience at the Broadwater Theatre in Hollywood is vibrant and intimate, with high-quality performances in a cozy setting. The adjacent bar adds a lively touch, offering a perfect spot to unwind before or after the show, enhancing the overall evening with its relaxed atmosphere and easy access. I really enjoyed the Mexican mule this evening, the perfect drink before the show!

Went over to this area to see a Fringe show and stopped in at this bar. What a cute little place. They had a large screen tv, small seating area and several seats at the bar. I took a seat at the bar and honed in on the bourbons/whiskeys and saw A Midwinters Night Dram. The bartender, Jacob said it was a special seasonal batch, which would explain the price tag. Ok, I had to try it, and it was awesome. Jacob was super friendly and helpful with the info. I sure wish I lived closer, this would be a fun hang out.

The water here is available at the bar and it comes in a small glass. It is cool and without ice.

Went to this bar to celebrate after an evening of theater. You don't notice these places until nighttime when it's lit up. We parked several blocks away and walked here. Very busy area. We walked in and it was quite crowded. I could not really see what the venue looked like due to the number of people but it seemed like it was popping! Maybe one day I will be able to make it back to this place.

Checked out this bar with a friend before seeing a show at The Pack Theater. The ambiance is pretty casual, although not quite as far as divey. In comparison the bar is extremely nice. Lots of different bottles displayed and a planter growing herbs for their drinks which I thought was really cool. They have a pretty extensive menu with a lot of specialty cocktails given their full bar. I just happened to go on May 4 and they had a whole menu of Star Wars cocktails available as well. Unless you're just getting a beer, the drinks can get pretty pricy, over $10 but they are well-made cocktails. I went on a Saturday night around 10 so it got quite lively but not too crazy. It's more of a bar to talk and hang out rather than to party. I think most people were like me, just grabbing a drink with friends before or after a show. Although it got quite loud I was still able to hold a conversation with a friend without having to yell.

So I was so happy that the tacos here were so different and delicious than anywhere I've tried. There are so many fusion variations of tacos here including the Asian Fried Chicken taco - our server, Nathan (big shout out to the tremendous service!!) mentioned that a woman from out-of-state returns to this location just for this taco! And it's genuinely worth the hype. I also really enjoyed the crispy shrimp taco and the fried squash blossom taco. The street corn is a must! The margaritas are soooo delicious here and I love the variation of flavors - especially passionfruit and blood orange. We came right at golden hour which was perfect to enjoy the sun a bit before enjoying the sunset and hanging out thru the evening. The bar is beautiful and it's such a great atmosphere to kick back.

Our favorite place to lunch at for sure. What made today even more special was the lovely Romy. She had a terrific and wonderful energy. We ordered our usual repasts and she was a joy to interact with. What a smile!!! I loved my ahi poké bowl and she had a breakfast taco and a shrimp taco ... delish Their chips and salsa are superb and we were full and very happy:) Parking was a breeze, which is highly unusual, which set the tone for a wonderful time that we both had. Highly recommended AGAIN AND AGAIN

I had the Tokyo 1992 Ramen with a fried fish bun, while my spouse had the Spicy Tan Tan and the Unagi rice ball. We also couldn't resist adding an order of gyoza, which I'm glad we did. We both loved the food. Everything was beautifully presented, and it was clear that this was not your typical hole-in-the-wall ramen spot. I especially enjoyed the fish bun. It was fried fish with a spicy coating and tartar sauce, and it was delicious. The ramen was excellent as well. My spouse really enjoyed the Unagi rice ball, which even came with a little fortune inside. The restaurant has a modern feel, and that same attention to presentation carried over to the dishes. The gyoza arrived in a cast-iron pan, and our server poured the sauce over it at the table, sending up a cloud of steam. It was a nice touch and made the dish feel a little more special. Our server was helpful and friendly throughout the meal. This is definitely a place I'll be going back to!

Person at the front checked us in and walked us to our table. It was my first time using the Blackbird app and the server (didn't get her name) was super nice and walked me on how to use it (thank you!). We got the fish baos and the unagi "rice ball" to start with. Both great, the bao was really good, the sauce was great, the cilantro gave it the perfect touch. I thought the fish could have been a bit more flavorful but still great. The unagi rice ball was great, just really hard to eat without it falling apart. As for the ramen, we got my favorite, the smoked dashi ramen, and their classic tonkotsu. They also had their OG tonkotsu ramen on a special menu, which is similar to the classic but the main difference being the type of pork meat that they use (pork belly). The smoked dashi ramen was as good as I remembered it, but the classic tonkotstu ramen was tasting a bit better surprisingly. I wish the smoked dashi ramen had the option to choose between clams and pork. For dessert I was really excited to try their banana pudding and also got their matcha kaki-gori (shaved ice). Although the banana pudding was not bad, it was the kaki-gori that blew my mind. The tonchin honey cream sauce was absolutely delicious. The overall texture of the kaki-gori was perfect, not chunky at all. And best of all, this was free thanks to the Blackbird app promotion! (Shameless plug to use my referral code bb-4r9xyi to get you $20). If I had the choice, I'd go with the kaki-gori instead of the pudding if you're only going to have one dessert. I can never go wrong with Tonchin. My absolute favorite ramen spot. Vibes are great, music not too loud, great date spot. I will be back again soon!

We're very picky on how we like calamari and we all enjoyed it. The branzino was served with potatoes and blanched spinach. The fish was cooked perfectly where it was soft on the inside but nice and crispy on the outside. The potatoes were also seasoned and cooked well however the spinach was slightly salty to our liking. Now the pizza... it was not a margherita pizza, it's just cheese pizza, like you can find anywhere else. The three of us were pretty disappointed so I would recommend getting a different pizza or trying their pasta dishes. Most folks around us seemed to be having pasta dishes. The tiramisu was delicious and a nice way to end dinner. We were very full but was able to make room for it. The service was well, very friendly. My dad asked for a white wine that went with the main course and the server gave a good recommendation. I judge an Italian restaurant by their margherita and it was by far the most disappointing so I'm not sure I'll be back, but if pizza is not your thing, don't let that stop you from giving this place a chance!
