We were impressed with their recommendations, service, prices and felt they were fair and not pressuring us into spending more. So far we've used them for 2 smog checks and a handful of oil changes. While there isn't always a confirmation for appointment requests online, they've always been able to accommodate us when we came in for service. Their service is quick and reliable. This morning I had an issue with starting my car. I called SK Auto in the afternoon and Chris let me know they could check my car today and change the spark plugs or battery if needed. I came in as soon as I could and 15 minutes later, Chris returned with the mechanic's findings and quote for repair. I appreciated Chris's explanation of the issue and recommendation. After an hour and a half later my car was fixed and I'm on my way out the door. Give SK Auto Repair a try. They are reasonably priced, provide excellent service and get the work done quick. Check then Natomas Shopper for coupons for smog checks, oil changes and repairs. They have earned…read moremy very hard to obtain personal recommendation (I am very particular about pretty much everything). My truck was involved in a fender bender around a year ago. Unfortunately, it was just serious enough to require panel repair and a bumper replacement, even though the speed was low. The truck was less than a year old, and I was devastated because I planned on eventually giving it to one of my kids. I did a ton of research on Honda-certified repair centers and determined, based on multiple factors, that Kniesel's on X Street had the highest likelihood of doing a proper repair. I brought the truck in, got my loaner car, and left it there for about a week. When I came to pick it up, I was so excited to get my truck back that I ended up leaving without doing a thorough walkthrough. On top of that, they pressured me to come ASAP in heavy traffic right after work, even after I told them I would barely make it. I'm a nice guy, so I obliged and later regretted that decision. The next day, I walked over to the tailgate and noticed the bumper didn't line up with the body panel, the tailgate didn't align with the tail light, a small body-colored plastic square was pushed out and would only temporarily snap back in, and the metal body panel had not been properly corrected where it had been pushed in at the corner. I then went to the passenger door and noticed there was a hole burned into the paint (likely from polishing) that had been clear-coated over. I sent photos to Kniesel's customer service, and the manager promised that if I brought the truck back in, he would make it right. At the time, I had a lot of family issues going on, so I didn't have the availability to bring it back in and be without a truck for several more days, and I was also worried about the same team working on it again. A little less than a year later, my schedule finally opened up, and I decided the issues still bothered me enough to bring it back in. I contacted the X Street location and discovered there was a new manager, Joe. He informed me that there was a completely different crew working there now, aside from the paint team, which he said was already very good. I agreed that the paint and clear-coat quality itself was actually exceptional, and that my issues were primarily with the body and panel repairs. Joe promised me that the new team was excellent and that they would fix everything to the highest standard. He sounded very sincere on the phone, so I decided to trust him. When I brought the truck in, he listened carefully to my concerns and offered to order the necessary parts, have me bring the truck back later, and cover a rental car for me. In less than a week, the truck was ready for pickup. Upon inspection, all of my concerns had been addressed. Joe was eager to make sure I was satisfied with the follow-up repair and seemed genuinely concerned about both my satisfaction and the quality of the shop's work. I spoke with a couple of guys in the shop, and they were all very kind, professional, and happy to hear that I was pleased with the finished product. When I got into the vehicle, I even noticed the glass had been cleaned and the interior surfaces had been wiped down. The truck had also been thoroughly washed. It was a breath of fresh air getting my truck back and knowing that a passionate, customer-focused team like Kniesel's X Street had taken proper care of my new truck and restored it to its former glory. I was so happy with the work that I offered to buy the team donuts, but Joe said he would take care of that part himself. Thank you to Joe and the team for doing the right thing. I brought in my 2020 Lexus RX 350 after an accident and wasn't even sure if I should go through insurance. Tim took the time to walk me through everything and helped me make the right call. I haven't been in an at-fault accident in about ten years, so that guidance meant a lot. From start to finish, Tim made the entire process easy. He was extremely communicative, kept me updated, and explained everything in a way that actually made sense. I don't know much about this stuff, but I always felt informed and taken care of. They completed the repairs in about a week, which was way faster than I expected. There is one small piece on backorder, but I'll be able to come back and have that installed later. I also had them fix some scratches on my mirror that weren't part of the accident, and Tim worked with me to get it done at a really fair price. What really stood out was how upfront, honest, and genuinely caring Tim was throughout the entire process. You can tell he takes pride in his work and really cares about the customer experience. We left it overnight, went back to pick it up he was nowhere in sight. Although he knew that she was coming to pick her car up. No phone no text no email. Finally I texted him that I needed some work on my car and I was in the area and he picked up the phone. Now mind you he hadn't picked up the phone for my niece for the last at least hour. I handed her the phone his explanation was, that his phone had been broken he told me the screen was broken and he couldn't see who called was calling. When he finally arrived at the shop, I asked him what the problem was he said his phone had broken he showed me a phone that was off, but there was no broken screen. I asked him was he done as he had been supposedly working on the car since the day before. Usually replacing in power steering pump is a one to two hour job for a good mechanic he said he was bleeding the system I saw no hoses or anything anywhere the problem came when I requested the old part which we never got. Also we had to come back for the car which was supposedly bleeding. The next day while driving the vehicle it start to smoke and they were flames. We found out later the distributor was loose. Apparently someone had bumped the distributor and the carburetor, and that was leakage from the gas or other fluid flammable no less. I'll be very Leary of taking my vehicle to such a dismissive repair shop and I use the term loosely. The customer service is nonexistent. And after I asked about the part that he supposedly removed I was told GET THE F OUT REPEATEDLY. Needless to say there was a verbal altercation that almost got really bad. This man has no respect for his customers their autos do not leave your car in this man's care. Do not trust what he says is wrong with your car. According to the automobile bureau, a customer has the right to receive the removed part. We are taking our vehicle to the automotive repair bureau in rancho Cordova, to be inspected for proper repair. To be forewarned is to be armed.
