I have to say that I was back and forth on if I wanted to eat here or not. There are a pretty equal amt. of good and bad reviews. I had the BBQ pulled pork sandwich and French fries. My sandwich was pretty good and so were the fries, but when it was served to me it was luke warm. My dad had the prime rib with crab cake. He was not impressed. His meal was also luke warm. His "prime rib" was pretty much a thin rib eye, and his crab cake was pretty much all filler it resembled a stuffing ball almost. He did say his meal had good flavor, but could have been better. Overall I would say this was a decent place, but I would try somewhere else if I were to come back to this town. read more

Wanted some wings saw that they were bragging about theirs. I had never been in before so I was a clean slate. Service nothing to get excited about made me feel about as welcome as a turd at a janitors convention. I get the wings and ask for the buffalo style sauce. Not sure what they are thinking here the sauce didn't even come close to anything I've ever had that is called buffalo sauce. I was expecting something little spicy but got wings coated in an almost flavorless sauce. Also had a cobb salad, it also was nothing to get excited about. I added chicken but it had no salt on it or very little. Nothing worse than getting a grilled piece of any kind of meat with no salt. I'm not in a hurry to go back. The waiter I had was just going through the motions along with the owner who seemed aloof and uninterested in my experience even though he came to my table to drop off food. People forget that the restaurant business is a hospitality business and that some effort should be put forth to make you feel welcome. I have been to places where the food was good enough to bring me back even though the place and the people didn't do much to bring me back. Every Wednesday they have a fish fry and it is amazing. Freshly battered haddock with hand cut fries! If you eat-in it is all you can eat. If I order the fry, I do take out, which is still a huge portion of food. It's a nice treat once in a while! Their jalapeño poppers are also freaking awesome. As is their veg wrap! This place is AWESOME! We had a larger party for lunch and everything we ordered was PHENOMENAL!!! I had the prime rib sandwich with provolone, mushrooms and onions. It was one of...if not the best sandwich I've ever had!!! The burgers a few others had were huge and heaped with toppings!! The side salads were loaded with veggies and very fresh. My daughter had the crab and shrimp bisque in a bread bowl. That too was INCREDIBLE!! And the wings were PERFECT!! Our waitress who's normally a bartender was as good as the food!! Absolutely great neighborhood bar/restaurant. I recently moved to Danville and I eat at LT'S a few times a week. The food is always good, sometimes amazing. They always have at least one good beer on tap usually two, more choices in bottles of course. The staff is excellent and friendly, now that it's summer I enjoy sitting on the patio. I've eaten here twice, and while both meals were pretty tasty, both trips ended with me plastering my toilet with the unholiest of dookies. Also, our server this evening was not very good. This is a tricky review to write because the experience appears to depend on what night you show up. So long as it's a slow night and the kitchen staff is competent you'll get a solid meal. However the staff is the lynch pin here. They range from fine to unprofessional and will often put their own interests ahead of their job. The food is nothing to brag about at all, short order steaks and the like. Again, they're fine if the staff is on point that night. The pricing is straight out of a late night infomercial on how to maximize your business instead of reflective of real world expenses. Upselling is a big problem here. Where it really shines is as a bar. It's a relatively pleasant place to sit and have a mug in a town notorious for its lousy dive scene. (So long as there's room. The actual bar is pretty small.) I cannot recommend it strongly, nor would I actively deter anyone from going here. The pity is that this could be a genuinely great place if a little basic care were taken to shape up the staff and get some creative menu items on tables that are prepared by someone with some actual interest in the job. read more

Maybe I hit it on the wrong day. Maybe my expectations were too high based upon the Yelp reviews I read. Service - very good, but did not tell us of the upcharge on fries (who does that?) Appetizer - mozzarella sticks that came from the "Friday's" frozen food. Burger - seemed to be a "Bubba burger". That is, it was bought frozen en masse and then cooked. Certainly not home made. But it was cooked to my likeness. Bun was good. Fries - oh man, these were the worse I ever had. They were Ore-Ida. They had been frozen, baked, refrozen and baked again. Awful! When the waitress came over to ask how the food was, we said the fries were uneatable. She asked if we wanted "fresh ones". Yeah, that's what she said. We passed. Since it was Halloween night, maybe the good cooks had taken the night off, leaving others less experienced to do the cooking. I could tell that everything, except the bun, had been frozen and reheated. I can do that at home. The beer and the service was good. We were in Danville for a bowling tournament and the woman at the bowling alley recommended this place - and I'm glad she did. Had dinner here on a Saturday (prime rib), then came back on Sunday for lunch (baby back ribs) before travelling home. Both meals were awesome! There were 6 of us in our party and each had no complaints. It's probably easiest to state; anything on the menu is very good. They have a nice selection of draught beer including a few local craft beers. The back bar was full of liquor bottles, ensuring just about any mixed drink you could want. We went in on Saturday for a midday snack. We ordered a dozen wings and the big platter of fries. We definitely did not need all of those fries, but we got them and ate them anyway. We had the dry rub BBQ and they tasted like nothing except fried wings. The mild wings were delicious. The sauce was like a spicy BBQ and it was so so so good. Lt Evans is one of my favorite restraunts in the world. The family owned restraunt has reasonable prices, great service and extraordinary food! Everything is amazing! My favorite thing to get is the wings, with their homemade blue cheese dressing, but everything is great! They have wing night on Mondays, pick three BBQ on Tuesday, all you can eat deep-fried haddock on Wednesday and shrimp night Thursdays! Also every other Friday they hold a karaoke night! We usually go here with our friends on Wednesday night for the "ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH" We have also been here for the BBQ special. The food is really good, especially the fish. The fish here is as good or better than THE MONTOUR DELONG FISH FRY, and you don't have to wait outside in the cold waiting to get a table. We love this place and their wait staff do a great job. Deplorable and despicable attitude!!!! I placed a to go order and had to cancel it because my mother had a medical emergency. The rude and inhumane person on the phone "asked what he was supposed to do with it" and then told someone "can you believe they f#cking cancelled the order". The other person said "f#ck also". I explained to him that I was now in the emergency room and told them it was a courtesy call to let them know I was not coming. I understand it was an expensive meal but that is not acceptable on any level. I am new to this area and will never go to this restaurant or encourage anyone else. You have to be a heartless, greedy, and completely unprofessional person to act in this manner. this place sucked. I stopped to try it out because alot of the locals rant and rave about it. I tried the nachos and I wouldve rather eaten doritos n cheese dip. It was a very large portion...but all I could taste was cheap salsa all over them. They were a bit pricey as well...12 dollars and some change...for nachos??? I didnt even eat a quarter of them and told the waiter why and he took it as a joke or something. Service sucked...before I was certain if I wanted anything else the waiter was halfway back to the door or kitchen area. Also ordered some hot wings...which everyone rants and raves about...they're hot sause is a spicy bbq, at most...got 2 drinks during happy hour price and a beer....a plate of crappy nachos...and 8-10 wings...bill was almost $50....and we didnt even get a main course.
