I called in for a to go breakfast order and my order was ready within 15 minutes. Luanas is located right off Thomas with its own parking lot. It's a nice cozy homey vibe inside it felt like I was walking into my friends parents house in the early 90s lol The customer service was super friendly and I was off with breakfast. The latte was great, not bitter or acidic and a good ratio of oatmilk and flavoring. The Rexfast is buttered rice with Spam topped with over easy eggs. It was demolished as soon as I got home with it. The side of Mac was good but a little heavy on the onion. I'll definitely be stopping in again soon! read more

Luana's has been one of my favorite coffee shops since moving to Phoenix a few years ago! I loved going to their old location and was sad when they closed - so happy that they are opened back up again and doing so well. The workers here are always so friendly, and the vibes are great. They have a big menu of drinks - their drinks are mostly one-sized and are pretty generous! I think my favorite might be their chai lattes. Their sandwiches and salads are so good! The portions for the salads are huge. Inside the cafe, the lighting is dim, the bathrooms are fun, and there are various types of seating like couches, counters, tables, etc. The parking lot here at the new location can get pretty full since they tend to be busy. However, I always find a spot. I come here to get work done a lot, and this is not the place for you to do work if you don't like loud music. They have a bar and a lot of people come to just hang out, so it's a pretty loud environment. However, I'm fine with loud noises, so it works out for me. Def recommend! read more

Luana's is a laid back coffee shop bar fusion. It's dim, has a pool table and an eccelectic menu of food and drinks. They didn't have a big non alcoholic menu but they made me something which was awesome and always a nice way to handle the request when the menu doesn't accommodate. I just wanted was a drink to have in front of me, didn't need anything special. Edited again to move down a star because the owner has tried to bully me and others on here for leaving honest reviews. I don't abide by that behavior and it shouldn't be rewarded. I was never rude in my original post and left honest feedback as have others. Perhaps this will be a sign to ownership to stay off of Yelp. Edited to add since the owner seems to think I'm knocking them for being busy. The place is CRAMPED and loud which when crowded is a problem. I'm all for businesses being busy but if the fit is too tight it's not comfortable for everyone and that's worth mentioning for others who might feel the same. Fun place but I think it doesn't know whether it wants to be a coffee shop or a dive bar. There is no issue with either but it's loud and crowded which makes it hard to have coffee shop vibes. The food and drinks were ok but I definitely think that this is somewhere better enjoyed during off hours if you're not looking for a crowded bar vibe. read more

One of my favorite spots in town! It has the vibe of a 90s dive bar with quiet, moody lighting and a quaint atmosphere. It feels like you're visiting a friend's house, and the service reflects that. The owner really wants to keep things affordable, which makes me feel right at home when I go there. The coffee and food are amazing, too! My favorite lunch sandwich in town is found here - it is called "When It Was All Up in Smoke." I like to experiment with different drinks here as I'm always up for trying something new, whether it's coffee, matcha, or energy drinks. They're all amazing! Good place to study, not a good place to order food. First of all, the surest way of a clean establishment is the bathroom. The bathroom was NASTY. The urinal looked like it had been treated as a toilet, the toilet had stains everywhere. I think they keep the lights off in there because they think we won't notice? I was very grossed out. Also, I think the pizza is digiorno. If it is, charging that much for digiorno is crazy. read more

By far my favorites at this place... The Thai Chile wings! Better than any wing shop. The Breakfast Pizza ,(night or day) on Cauliflower Crust is great and has a little heat. Truly a hidden little phoenix gem. The inside is decorated with a a bunch of mismatched furniture and random little antiques. Plenty of seating and some old worn and yet very comfortable couches and arm chairs. I got the s'mores latte and French toast and both were excellent. The baristas were kind and made sure one was well taken care. The only negative was the bathroom was dirty and had no soap or toilet seat covers left. I'm hoping that was just a one time event. I love the lemon bread, so good. I have had thier pizza, beer, and coffee. Never disappointed. The service for the most part is great, however one day the service was not great. When i walked up, she walked away to go talk to another employee, they were laughing so i know the convo could have waited. I think this is the coolest place I've been to in a while. Didn't have time to make a lunch for work so found the first place that had coffee and salads. Happy to say I lucked out! I hardly ever try new coffee shops but Luana's did not disappoint! They had vintage/antique furniture and knick knacks everywhere which was super cool. I tried Luanas for the first time a couple days ago. The barista was quite welcoming when I walked in. She helped me with the menu. I ordered the brown sugar latte. I picked it because she said they use a house made syrup. I also ordered a turkey BYO breakfast sandwich. I was disappointed in the latte, I was hoping that it would have been good, but unfortunately it was not. There was no great taste and it somewhat tasted spoiled. And sadly, the sandwich was not good :( When entering the shop, it also had a horrendous smell. Not even sure how to describe it. But work on the smell, and I'd love to come back. I'm on a personal hunt to try all the best coffee bars and this one is at the top of the list. Upon arrival take time to skim the menu then order at the front and find a fun chair with your friends. The staff are amazing and take the time share with you their fan favorites and items that others seem to love. I honestly can't think of anything on the menu you won't like. I came with a large group so the food variety at the time was pretty large and everything was top notch. I got the ex-girlfriend and the whip foam which I usually skip was light with subtle nods of lavender and sweetness. They then added some coco puffs which you may think makes no sense but the crunch of the cereal along with the whip is absolutely divine. If you're in the area and aren't a big coffee fan they have a full bar and special beer to tickle your fancy. read more

This place is amazing. I remember coming here 2 years ago when I was visiting Phoenix and it was so memorable. Now that I live here I had to come back again. The vibe/atmosphere is so warm and comfy. That alone attracted me, but to top it off with amazing food is insane! If you're hungry during a study break, order the BYO breakfast sandwich. I got it with turkey on a focaccia bread with harvati cheese. I wasn't expecting the turkey to be that good (it is turkey after all), but the sandwich was BUSSIN. The turkey was extremely moist and juicy, topped with the aioli, tomatoes and cheese with a crusty focaccia, to die for. Not to mention the pricing is great! The sandwich is $10! Luana's is my favorite hidden coffee/tea/cocktail shop in the valley, it's such a well-kept secret. This shop is located near Melrose and the aesthetics are so fun. I come here when I want a fun place to study and to sip on unique drinks. There are plenty of tables with charging areas nearby if you want to set up shop for the afternoon. I love their tea, I recommend their Strawberry Guava and Blackberry Herbal teas and if you are in the mood for a cocktail, you need to order the Passionfruit Mint Mojito. They have a good assortment of food as well if you're feeling hungry, I always like to nibble on their basic college girl board (focaccia with brie, fig, and apples). If you don't knew what to order, the staff are so helpful and willing to share recommendations. We've come here a few times with our toddler before/after events Downtown to either get a coffee or a cocktail, and our little guy likes to play with their wide selection of nostalgic board games. There's a variety of food and drink items on the menu (including pastries!), which is really nice. There's usually music playing in the background, which may not make it the ideal place for studying if you're looking for somewhere super quiet. There is free wifi though! I ordered the dirty chai and chipotle chicken salad, both of which were tasty! I wish the flavor of the spices in the chai were stronger, as I felt like the ginger mostly overpowered them, but overall it was still a good drink!
