Today we dropped our very anxious pup off to get his first haircut, we were so skeptical because he is very picky about which dogs he wants to be friends with. They reassured me that he would do great. They exceeded my expectations! I have an Australian Shepherd/German Shepherd mix and we got him shaved due to weather here in Florida. We love love love Lubas! She's the sweetest and so is nicole. We met her husband and last time and he watched my 18 month old in the lobby while we wrangled my dog lol. She takes her time, listens to what you want and will make sure you leave a happy customer and your dog looks their best! You won't regret it. I can't say enough good things about this place! I am not usually the type of person to write a review but I loved this place so much I felt I had to! I have a highly anxious dog and they were so amazing with him. They really worked with him and made him feel so relaxed and happy. What a nice place! I was greeted at the door, where the staff immediately bent down and played with my puppy, giving her a sense of warmth and trust. When she was brought back out, I could sense that she was still comfortable in her surroundings. We didn't leave before she was given a toy and some doggie cookies. I would highly recommend Luba's. Upset! Took all of my three dogs there for grooming until one of them came home from Luba's with an oozing burn mark on her neck. I sent a photo of it to Luba and she told me how to take care for it and said she would give me a deal the next time I groomed my dogs. I got a whopping $5 off the next grooming and I spent a lot of money there! My dog has a permanent black spot on her neck from where the vet said that it had to have been a 2nd degree burn! It is a permanent marking!! After the vet visit now knowing it was permanent I asked Luba for my money back on that particular grooming. She refused on the phone so I took my dog down to show her the mark it left. She denied at that point any wrong doing and said my dog must have scratched herself, she couldn't own up to the mistake! I did end up getting my $55.00 back for the grooming and have a found a new place that's less expensive and comes highly recommended. read more

I have been using Luba's for 7 years !! I will not ever use them again after this Monday. I have an elderly dog who has anxiety- I called on Saturday and asked when is a good time I can bring her in for her usual express wash - the girl told me they have an appointment on Monday at 8:00 or 1:00. I took the 8:00 am appointment so she would be first and they can get her in and out. I called at 9:30 to see how much longer they told me she was next to get groomed!! I said I made the appointment specifically for 8:00 am so she wouldn't have to sit in the crate all those hours... she barks incessantly when she is in the crate. The woman told me the groomers do not even come in until 9:00 am. Needless to say I was furious!! When I went to pick her at 11:00 they were still grooming her - I asked if one of the owners were there the girl said no !! I said you just lost a great customer I will never be coming back .. she said okay! When I finally got lulu she had small nicks on her underside by her vagina and her tale had been cut so close her skin is exposed. It was different when Luba owned the salon - she no longer does - the new people do not care read more

I have been to Luba's twice with 2 of my 3 dogs. The Studio is really nice - ultra clean and very orderly. We got a full tour of the facility at arrival, which I've never had at any other groomer. My two dogs, an 8 yr. old Chihuahua and a 17 yr. old blind Sheltie, went to Luba's today. Both dogs were long over due for grooming, embarrassing so. They both look spectacular and returned home happy. The care and quality of grooming was outstanding, particularly the grooming by Stephanie on the Sheltie. I highly recommend Luba's for both their care and quality of grooming!! The fees are also very reasonable. read more

Unfortunately, this business has given us our worst experience with groomers in the 23 years that we have owned schnauzers. Our dogs had some mats and while they called us and left a message to discuss, they did not wait for a response. The groomer shaved them down completely against our wishes and without discussing with us beforehand. Our youngest dog's ear was nicked in the process and has some slight razor burn. While we understand mats can be difficult, the decision to shave without first discussing with us indicates the type of rush they are in while grooming. In hindsight, there are other reviews noting that there have been burns on dogs from grooming and a refusal to discuss options on grooming. Our dogs have had long beards and fur for years and we are devastated at this grooming job. Although the staff took responsibility and didn't charge us, the damage was done and isn't easily fixed. We appreciate the gentleman who apologized to us. At the end of the day the owners should have had clear procedures in place to avoid this type of error. We are probably looking at a year plus to regrow the hair back to normal. We absolutely will not return to this business and will be going elsewhere. While we caution others with dogs so that they can be aware of what occurred to us, we hope that the owners address this issue to avoid future issues. read more

I had a very unfortunate experience this past year for my Shih Tzu at Luba's Salon. We had used Luba's for quite a while to groom both our little dogs and were quite happy with the results. However, in April 2019, I took my Shih Tzu and other pet in for grooming and the groomers on duty were well informed of a problem with his lower jaw being previously broken. This was well (supposedly) documented on his record with Luba. When I returned to pick up my pets, I immediately noticed he seemed lethargic and he did not seem any different when I arrived home with him and the other pet. A while later, I was examining him and noticed his lower jaw was lower than usual. I called Luba's and got a woman on the phone who said she was 'person in charge since Luba had left" and she admitted she had used some force on my Shih Tzu's face to hold him still. Blue Pearl Veterinary doctors repaired my pets jaw w/surgery; amounts totaling over $4300. Luba refused to admit fault in this matter. I would not recommend Lubas' to any responsible pet owner. My pets are my family members and deserve the best treatment available and Luba's personnel did not act in a humane manner on day in question. Luba's lost a good customer ! Great service at a reasonable price. The staff takes time to explain and demonstrate all that they offer. The tour alone is worth a visit.

Be warned - my cat came home with fleas after being boarded here a couple times over the holidays, and spread them to our house now. It's a big mess and I'm so upset. I recognize that I should have had her on flea medicine, but she was always an indoor cat, had never been exposed to anything, had never had fleas, and had never been boarded before, so I was a bit ignorant. HOWEVER, this should be in Luba's boarding policy - if an incoming flea check and proof of flea meds had been a requirement just like the vaccines, all this could have been avoided. I called to report to her what happened and asked that she update the policy - she said she would, but I won't be back to find out. Very disappointed. I asked for a partial refund due to the lack of responsible policies, but she said they "don't do that". I think the grooming studio is the main gig there, and the boarding is kind of an afterthought, so be warned! read more
