Fir pizza- It's kinda in the middle, like, when you don't really want Anthonys again but you don't want dominoes either. It's a fair compromise between price and texture, taste, & size. Certainly nothing to write home about. They really sock it to you with the price of each topping. And the meatballs are OK, but i have certainly had better. Pizza is good, they have the best thin crust pizza in the area, not to mention, everything is made from scratch. However, they need to be a little more detail about giving out the orders to people. I waited over 1.5 hours for my Togo pizza for the family to only find out that my order was given to somebody else and that I have to wait for another 10 minutes. Which ended up being 30 minutes/ I suggest assume that you will not be able to pickup your food until 1.5 - 2 hours after you ordered. Especially on a Friday night. The place is jammed packed on weekends and ordering to go will not help get your food any faster. Fyi... they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. read more

Colorado has a notoriously poor reputation for pizza, especially if you're looking for NY style. As a NY-er, I'm in constant agony at what's available and worried Aurora would be even worse. But I was pleasantly surprised. The food is good and the atmosphere is great. Super casual and chaotic in the best possible way. Great for groups and kids. Staff is amazing and communicative, and their time estimates are spot on. Their hours changed, so you're relegated to going during the busiest times - my pizza was estimated at an hour and ten minutes on a Friday night. But it's worth it, especially if you're proactive and order early, or if you dine in and order by the slice. I enjoyed their wine options and the cannoli held up! That isn't something I can say about any other NY-Italian spot I've been to in Colorado. read more

I entered Lubos pizza restaurant at 8:30 pm, tried to sit at the bar for a quick slice and a glass of wine. I was told they were only taking to go orders and they close the dining room at 8pm. I mentioned the website as well as your front door say you close at nine?? I looked around the dining room, and there were many large parties which had not ordered, or just received their food. The restaurant needs to change their website to say the dining room closes at nine and only to go orders are taken an hour before their closing time. I generally like Lubos, but this was ridiculous. I worked in the restaurant industry for 12 years and we never turned away a customer walking through the door minutes before we closed. Apparently the person that turned me away. wanted to go home early. read more

Normally really enjoy Lubo's, good NY style pizza. However, pretty disappointed with our pizza this time. Ordered a large pizza, half cheese, half sausage and black olive. The toppings on the one half were scrunched into the middle of the pizza, leaving the outer half of the pizza with nothing but cheese. Given the toppings price, I'd say we were short changed, paying for 2 toppings (full pizza) and only receiving about 1/4 toppings at best. read more

This was our first time at LuBo's and we will be back! The pizza here is great. The cheese was perfect and the sauce was unique compared to the other NY pizza places south of Denver. Our cheese bread was not that great, but it was not terrible either, but with that pizza we will be back and probably trying the garlic knots next time. The real kicker to this place is the service. The way the employees handle the whole dining room and every employee addresses every table was incredible. Refills were quick and there was always someone available if needed (and it was a busy night). This way of running the dining room seemed to work really well here and I was impressed. read more

I'm a little peeved that I've lived near LuBo's for a few years and never knew that it even existed! But enter in Yelp on a Saturday night where my mom wanted Italian and I wanted a pizza and Yelp brought us here. This is truly a locals place, some families, older folks, younger folks and everything in between was here. They have cheap drinks and a nice little to go area along with a bar area depending on what you want. We dined in and each got half a salad and slice of pizza with a couple glasses of wine, service was good, a half salad was plenty and the slices are huge. I got my husband some lasagna to go and interestingly enough, their lasagna isn't meat with meat but you can order Italian sausage or a meatball on top. Yum! We were on the hunt for calzones and dropped into Lubo's based on the yelp reviews. Our server was very attentive and friendly, we each made our own calzone with chosen ingredients. I did eggplant, which was delicious. These calzones are also BIG, so we each only managed to eat half. You'd have to be really hungry to eat the whole thing. Stopped in and had a Calzone. All meat with pineapple. Good size. Good flavor. Service was good. I ate at the bar. Only thing that gave me a bit of concern was all the kids working there over the food with lots of hair not covered. Back hundred years ago when I worked in a pizza place anyone with long hair had to have a hat or hair net. I didn't have any issues at all with my food but the sight did cause pause. You get a lot of bang for your buck here! The pizza is cheesy goodness with homemade sauce and a nice breaded crust. BEWARE: Do not order through postmates!! They take at least 2-3hrs for delivery. I think the store quotes 75min for the order so postmates wont send a driver until that 75min is up! (I thought 3rd time would be a charm for the postmates app but NOPE) read more
