I saw an ad on instagram and of course had to try it. I love the vibe of the entire place and you can tell the staff like working here as well. I loved that besides Mac and cheese you can also get flat breads. We came with our kids and they devoured the food so it's a spot we will definitely come back to. You pick a base and a sauce (noodles and think cheese sauce like kraft, bleh). Have option to add veggies and a protein and then they "top with cheese". The top is the only actual cheese you get, the rest is just pasta with the cheese like sauce (don't even really get much of that either). It was dry and didn't have much flavor at all and to top it all off wasn't much cheese to speak of. My kid did not like it at all and asked if we could go somewhere else, I took a bite and asked her where are we going next? Had 1 prior experience with a couple gal pals last year and enjoyed it so much that I knew I'd eventually bring Hubs to try himself....he's a Big Mac & Cheese fan. Well, last night was the night I suggested we go for Valentine's Day. A Friday night around 8pm, we walked in and were immediately greeted. No line but about 3-4 parties either eating in or waiting for their order. We took our time pursuing the menu, but mama already knew what she was having. It was Hubs that needed to figure things out. Seeing he was taking a bit of time, an employee behind the counter offered a printed menu (w/more details) to look at, which helped. Once a decision was made, we stepped up to the left order side and with a smile was asked what we'd like. After wishing the nice lady a Happy Valentine's Day, I quickly told her I wanted the $24 Lobster Mac & Cheese. She asked about making it a combo which added a side & drink and I happily agreed. Chose the Mac bites as the side, since we had initially contemplated them. Hubs opted to get a BYO grilled cheese. Was pleasantly surprised he could choose up to 4 cheeses, whoa!!! He decided on Swiss, cheddar, & mozzarella (perhaps they could've doubled on one? IDK but might ask next time). For his proteins, he got ground beef & bacon, no veg. We were then asked to pay at the register at the right and grab our drink cup. Guy there was so nice, offering a cup for water. I couldn't help but notice him wearing covering over his full grown-in beard, obviously aware of hygiene cleanliness, something I as a patron definitely appreciate! We got our fountain drink, Dr Pepper, then grabbed a small table near their decorative wall. As we sat waiting for our order, we continued looking over the extensive menu offerings, noticed a TV playing some sports highlights or some NBA game, as well as the seating which were about 5 tables and 4? hightop seats at the window. We also noticed the workers seemed to be related, so assume this is a well-run family-owned establishment. They ran the place like a well oiled machine, as many people steadily came in & out, for both in-eating and takeout. Knowing this spot is open till 11pm, it definitely makes for a great late night eats spot and is absolutely great for date nights. Vibe was nice & chill, and again great friendly service. Wait time to get our food was probably the only weak link in the whole experience, which was maybe 20-25min. But hey...good food takes time, especially when orders are nonstop coming in. I recall my first experience was the same on wait time. We didn't mind since we had no where to go, so don't come in a rush if planning to check this place out. We heard our name called, grabbed our meals, and (after mando pics: camera eats first! lol) dug in! I couldn't wait to try this lobster mac & cheese!! And it didn't disappoint, coming in a cute heart-shaped bowl! First, the cavatappi pasta is absolutely a favorite of mine, and this was cooked perfectly al dente! Creamy cheese sauce without being drenched in it, super big chunks of nicely cooked lobster, and a hint of green onion mixed in with a light bread crumb topping. It was DEE-licious! Thought it'd be too much to eat it all, but it was soo good I couldn't stop and ate the whole thing!! Mama can eat y'all! And I really liked that the creaminess never faltered, even through the very last bite! The Mac bites were also quite good, with an excellent outer crunch yet creamy inside. Dipping sauce wasn't actually needed, although they do got that good ranch! lol Hubs said he enjoyed his meal as well, but not being a fan of crispy cheese (he calls burnt, but tbh isn't), some of the edges were a bit 'overcooked' for him. Taking a bite, I actually enjoyed it. The side tots (which we didn't expect) weren't anything special, but that marinara sauce used for dipping was a nice surprise, being tomato-y and kinda like a slight creamy pasta sauce flavor. I'd have that on some pasta, for sure! Side note: they also have other menu items like flatbread and are vegan-friendly! I may just give a broccoli mac & cheese, or chicken flatbread a try next time, and don't miss out on the short rib protein option (I tried the first time) since it is quite good too! They got that pulled pork protein too!! All-in-all, this place 100% has my stamp of approval and I honestly wouldn't mind seeing an expansion location out in Roseville, which would be slightly closer for us to visit. We were driving downtown on our way to Jets for a Beetlejuice-themed dinner before heading to the drive-in to watch the movie. Along the way, we noticed a new establishment and decided to stop in. We were not disappointed. The menu offered numerous options, which made choosing quite challenging. If I were to visit again, I would avoid pairing pesto with cheese on my mac and cheese with cauliflower, as it imparted an unusual flavor to me personally. On a positive note, the staff were exceptional--informative and genuinely pleasant. I value excellent service, and this team certainly delivered. We dined at a more expensive restaurant this evening, where my husband noted that while their mac and cheese was good, it didn't compare to what we had here! If you visit, I highly recommend trying the chicken with whatever selection you make. Oh and the broccoli side, both of which were delicious. For dessert, the marshmallow Rice Krispies treat was divine. The restaurant's ambiance was delightful, with beautifully designed interiors and a nostalgic music selection reminiscent of old iPod playlists. They also offer catering services. I parked at the East End Garage for $2 and it was an easy walk down 17th Street. It's located across from Kitchen15. If the overhead screens are hard to read, they do have paper takeout menus. Place orders at the left side and pay at the register on the right. There are big and small tables and window high tops. There is a pretty big structural column that can be in the way if you're trying to navigate to the line. Appetite activated, I opted for BOTH the Chicken Parm Mac & Cheese AND The Cuban Grilled Cheese (made one a combo with tater tots) for myself, dine-in. Mi amiga Sonia C. had the Chicken Parm Mac & Cheese combo too, shared the Bacon Jalapeno Mac & Cheese Bites (3-piece), and took home the Lobster White Truffle Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Lady Dionne "Dee" T. had the Shortrib Philly Mac & Cheese (sans mushrooms) combo for here, and sandwiches to go. Firstly, the Chicken Parm. I went with the standard macaroni pasta as a base, and it comes with breaded chicken, cheese sauce, marinara sauce, parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, and pesto. This was very good, creamy and melted just right, and a good portion in the heart-shaped bowl. Not sure exactly how many pieces of chicken but otherwise the ratio of pesto and marinara to cheese and pasta was on point. Filling for someone of normal stomach capacity. The tater tots were OK but could have been a touch more golden brown and crisp, maybe some kind of parm sprinkle on top? Ketchup and hot sauce packets are available near the utensils. If you got the mac and cheese bites there were several dipping sauces to choose from. Secondly, the Cuban. Sourdough Bread, Mojo (BBQ) Pulled Pork, Ham, Swiss Cheese, Dill Pickles and Mustard. Why did I save this for last? Because it turned out to be the BEST. I was a little suspicious of the diced ham but the pulled pork pulled it all together...the buttery bread and melty cheese was so so good. I finished the entire sandwich in the same sitting after polishing off the bowl of mac & cheese and most of the tots, and one refill of soda too! The only leftovers/takeout for me leave the establishment inside my tummy! Next to the Coca-Cola fountain drink area was a table with their catering information, and free yellow branded cowbells! Sometimes, when traveling with groups, it can be difficult to make sure all parties feel accommodated and heard when it comes to meal time. I think this place is a winner in this area for sure! They were friendly and happy to help us, even with 6 people which was honestly so nice. We were able to find a table off to the side that could fit us all too! It was comfortable and easy to get around. My husband and I split the Lobster Truffle Mac & Cheese with Tots and it was great! Super filling so it was easy to split too. At first glance, I was surprised to see a rating of 3.8 stars in March of 2024. After reading over several other reviews just to understand what the consensus of service is.... I always ask her to bring a receipt (because I've noticed a trend of getting over charged for items at various businesses, but this is unrelated)..... so, the first thing I check is the receipt. I was like, $30 for a Mac and cheese bowl and grilled cheese and soup????????? They ARE expensive. I'm just going to call it like it is. I have not personally experienced having toppings be limited or frugalized, but I have very much felt the expense for any add-ons. Beyond burger crumbles? Extra. And they always promote a combo. In fact, they look at you sideways if you DO NOT order a combo! I've literally had to repeat myself, "JUST the sandwich, please" The Mac n Cheese is really really good. I have had both classic style and vegan, both really delicious. I am not a fan of the tomato soup even though I love that style of soup. The tots are OK, but nothing to write home to mom about. Went here on a whim. The staff was very nice, service was great and fast. I ordered make your own bowl. The concept is similar to Pieology, Chipotle, Poké Bowls, and Blaze Pizza. You choose your base, type of sauce and cheese and unlimited toppings then it is heated up. I had to have them heat mine up twice, it was not hot enough the first time through. I thought the sauce was good and the combination of the cheese I picked was great. I enjoyed my mac bowl. I also ordered the Mac n cheese and thst was good. We ate it with a side of their tomato bisque soup, that was good too. The restaurant is small and clean, it is well lit and not too loud. Hopefully they will thrive. I dropped in for lunch with my girlfriend who was on her break. There wasn't much of a crowd so service was fast and within a few minutes my order was cooking. I went with the chicken parmesan Mac and cheese. If had chopped breaded chicken, marinara sauce and parmesan over a bed of cheesy macaroni. This dish was creamy, and the portions were perfect. I shared a couple bites but my appetite wouldn't allow for more than that lol. The container was heart shaped which my girlfriend got a kick out of. Lol. Service here was really good. I'm a huge fan of macaroni and cheese, and customizable menus, so this place was made for me! I came on a weekday lunch time and it was already busy, word is spreading fast about their opening! I'm not a fan of the layout inside because it can get really crowded if a line forms. There are signs for the side to order and where to pickup but people were still getting confused, I think because there are two entrances to the restaurant, and the overall narrow seating area. Luckily we were still able to get a table before the lunch rush and they even had high chairs available. We wanted to try a bowl and a sandwich so we picked the Lobster Mac n Cheese and the Best of Both Worlds grilled cheese. It took about 10 minutes to receive our food nice and hot! The heart shaped bowls are so cute. The sandwiches come with tater tots and a mini tomato soup dipper which is great! You can upgrade to a combo for a bigger side of tots or different side option, plus a drink. The Lobster Mac and Cheese was very creamy. I liked that it was more saucy and didn't get clumpy when it cooled down. For $23.99 though it is a relatively smaller portion and could use more protein, but that's pretty normal for lobster food items at other places. The Best of Both Worlds grilled cheese was nicely toasted and actually stayed together pretty well while I ate it. The meat was so tender! But again, wish there was a bit more meat. They do the classic mac and cheese right, but if you're looking for something more unique - they have some options like: Chicken Parmesan, Buffalo Blue, Lobster and White Truffle. I got take out from here in the afternoon on a Wednesday. I called my order in instead of ordering online to make sure they got my order right because I'm vegan. The employee who I spoke with on the phone was very nice. I ordered 2 of the vegan Mac but had some omissions from one of them. They informed me that they were out of one of the ingredients: the beyond meat crumbles but offered to replace it with a beyond meat patty at no additional charge. I appreciated that and then asked for one of them to not have the beyond meat, tomatoes, onions, or chives. He repeated it to me as he wrote it down. The pickup process was easy and the macs came in heart shaped containers as promised. Yes, I will be reusing these containers. Here's where things go downhill. They didn't make any of the modifications I requested so both orders were the same. I don't like beyond meat because I stopped eating meat over 30 years ago so I spent a lot of time picking it out along with other ingredients I wanted omitted. Once I had picked out all the beyond patty pieces, there was a half a bowl of Mac left. Is that the ratio of meat to pasta they give everyone??? Seems excessive. So, unfortunately, the broccoli was undercooked, there were only 2 thin slices of mushrooms in the entire dish, and the flavor was so bland that I had to add a ton of salt just to eat it. And why were there just chunks of cheese slices in it? I was very confused and disappointed. I'm still giving them 3 stars because they were very nice on the phone and I love the heart shaped containers. But I would not order vegan Mac from here. A carb lovers dream! With non carb options too! There's something for everyone here! We came in after a group of people so we weren't quite sure where to go, but luckily there are yellow arrows on the ground directing you to go to the correct counter to put in your order. We had a little wait in line to put in our order but that gave us time to thoroughly read the menu board above. We got bowls and I asked to make my own. The server walks you through the OP options as they build your bowl for you. When to get to the end of the line you pay and get your drink cup. After filling up at the self serve soda fountain, we grabbed our seats. The place was kinda busy so there were orders before ours but the wait was only like 10 minutes or so. We watched the shows they had on the couple TVs inside. When the food was called we went up and grabbed the trays and raced back to the table to dog in! Mine was really good seeing as how it was personal pan pasta made by me. My husband's bowl had very little buffalo sauce in his so he went and asked for more. We also tried the jalapeño bacon Mac n cheese balls and tater tots. All the food was really good and comforting! We'll be back for sure. read more

Ordered the tater tots with bacon and scallions bowl. Added a side of Mac bites. The food was great and piping hot! Customer service is awesome and ambience is great. They have bar stools and a nice backdrop of their restaurant. Tater tot bowl was nice and cheesy. Good portion of food. I do have to admit, don't eat this before going into meeting. Food coma is killer. The Mac bites were ok. I should've gotten the bacon and jalapeno version. All in all, good spot to try and I'd come back to test out more bowls! Happy eating! read more
