There are hundreds of options from huge brands and lesser-known designers. I would always recommend looking in the clearance section, too. The clearance section has a ton of great options for a discounted price (they even have some big brands back there sometimes). On my most recent trip I saw Crocs, TEVA sandals, Steve Madden, Betsy Johnson, and Birkenstocks in the clearance section! Whether you're looking for a casual shoe or a more formal option, DSW has you covered. I walked away with new tennis shoes and a pair of heels. If you're going on vacation soon, I noticed a ton of fun sandal and heel options! You can really shoe shop till you drop at DSW! The reason DSW loses a star, for me, is because of the checkout process. There always seems to be only one cashier when I'm there and it makes the line move pretty slowly. I wasn't in a rush so it was no big deal, but it has been frustrating in the past (especially when there's another associate nearby doing ... something else I guess). Who's been desiring to visit a real local urban sneaker shop. Hype Beast definitely delivers the drip for youth, men & women. Up to size 14 in men's. They also purchase Dead stock (brand new shoes) for market value. I personally love the security here, and the way these gentlemen was patient with my young man, on his first time experience visiting an authentic local shoe shop. He only tried a half dozen shoes on. Lol. They have a shoe event this month! With about 75 vendors attending. My teenager left here feeling inspired. Thank you both kindly.

So, why did I come here? I mean, western wear is not MY thing. I came because at the end of this month, my department is dressing up for Go Texan Day and nothing in my closet screams western. I was on my way to another boot store to check out their western ring selection and decided to detour to Joann Fabrics to find a turquoise pendant. Surprisingly, Boot Barn was conveniently located next door. I love convenience! I've never been in a boot store; ever! So, upon walking in, I was in awe! Wall to wall boots. Shelf after shelf after shelf. Well over 300 pair!The aisles were spacious enough to maneuver through the sea of boots and everything was so well organized. I found myself in the middle of the store like a big kid when the store clerk, Jerroll, came over with big smiles to ask if I needed help finding anything. He was dressed like a true cowboy; leather jacket, blue jeans, cowboy hat and boots. Yaasss!! I told him I was looking for the jewelry section and he walked me right over. They have a nice and reasonably priced selection of earrings, bracelets, rings, etc. I had no problem finding my rings here. The assortment of apparel on the men's side is good, but I wish they carried a couple more items. The service is great tho.
