Terrible. Luciano's used to be amazing. I have been going since they had a location in Tysons mall. Over 20 years. I have given them so many chances to be great - but it's just awful. Luciano's you should be ashamed of yourselves for calling this New York style pizza. I'm so sad because it was great then it was good on occasion and now I wouldn't choose this over Wawa. Dry sesame, one pat of butter, good but not joyful. I wish the butter came on a plate, and that I got a bread plate but alas. No oil etc. I like that stuff when I get it, adds a nice atmosphere. I ordered the special. Pasta with sausage and peppers in Alfredo sauce, with a Lemoncillo martini. My server was so nervous. He dutifully wrote it down but forgot about it. Young and nervous but nice. Martini was strong. Garlic bread with cheese ... eh. I was expecting something different. More. It's the table bread cut in half, with melted cheese, toasted. About $5. Best pizza. Used to go to this restaurant when it was at Tysons mall but I have been going here since they left. This pizza is the best. I get the works. I get it well done and it is beautiful. Very nice. Flavored crust toppings are excellent. their sausage is the best bar none And it's sliced not crumbled on the pizza. In fact, I got an order this last time of extra sausage as a side dish. We have been going to Luciano's for years. Even though the ownership has changed this is still a great local Italian Restaurant in Oakton. Today I had the special, which was homemade Italian sausage, grilled chicken on penne with onions, red peppers and little Marinara sauce. The dish was very good! Omar was our waiter. I wish there was a review star for " Eh". The food entrees at $19 and above are good but if you order anything less than $20 you'll barely get any quantity and WILL go hungry afterwards. See attached photo of the 4 fries you'll receive with your sandwich or the $9 barely there any salad except iceberg lettuce. Whoever thinks we all want to pay more than most area restaurants PLUS an extra $15 delivery and tip to get what we already have in our fridge at home is CRAZY. Nauseating overpriced. A great restaurant when it was at Tysons Corner not sure what this is but horribly overpriced bad tasting food. The meatballs ($12 for two) were tough and tasted like shoe leather. They charged us for baked ravioli and gave us ravioli (which was cheaper but not what we ordered). For $23 you got like four pieces of ravioli. I dont know how they stay in business. I wont be going back. read more

We had a nice late night meal at Luciano Italian Restaurant. The Calzone Puglia was hot, with a bubbly, crackely crust and stretchy cheese. It was filled with Pepperoni, Sausage, Mushrooms and Mozarella. Themushrooms were so earthy and aromatic, you could smell them before cutting int it. The Meat Lasagna had nice crispy edges, and a fresh tomato sauce. It was filled with ground beef, ricotta and mozarella cheese. Been going to Luciano's since I was a little girl. The former Tysons location was the best. This location has been good but the past few visits have been subpar. We usually get pizza but we decided to order the calamari appetizer too. Please, stop yourself before ordering it.....horrible, rubbery and served on top of red sauce! If I wanted calamari in red sauce I would've asked for it. Even forgetting the sauce, the rubbery, chewy, inedible texture was unforgivable. Nothing worse than rubbery calamari. All new servers at the restaurant. None of them know what they're doing. We ordered a pizza with toppings and 35 minutes later he brought out a plain pizza with no toppings. We asked him to please take it back and he said they can't put it back in the oven because it had been delivered to us. We didn't ask for it to be put back in the oven, we wanted our pizza correct! This place has free parking, which is a plus and has a semi-"romantic" ambiance (sort of a Jersey feel to it). Service is ok but the waiter struggled with taking our order. Food was ok but not something that will draw us back. No major issues, just not for me. For an appetizer we had eggplant with tomato sauce, my wife had spaghetti with meatballs, son fettuccine alla Erma, and me a white pizza. Frankly flavors were not that impressive for any of the food and my pizza crust was tough. Just not a keeper. read more

Quaint home style Italian place. Attentive staff and well worn and comfy interiors. We started w mozzarella sticks wc was Just ok but the marinara it came with was fresh and Chunky and flavorful. Hubs had calzone which was excellent, no scrimping on filling and the best delicate crust. I had the lasagna wc came w salad and A Nice house Italian dressing. With no indication on the menu, the family meal of chicken piccata consists of nothing but slices of chicken ($ 52) No sides, no bread , no pasta and you don't find out until you get home because it is cleverly concealed in a covered pan. First time at Luciano's and was recommended by my uncle to try after my sister's graduation. The restaurant had nice decor and wasn't too busy. The service was really good, as we were treated well with no complications and nice servers who were actually willing to chat with us. The food in my opinion wasn't anything special, but it was good Italian food. I had a special pasta with shrimp and chicken. The steak and cheese was also ok. Very good restaurant! I love the staff here. They make you feel right at home. That's a big part of it. The ambiance is ideal for a date, or perhaps a meal with family. They also greet you right away. As soon as the door moves fast. That is impressive! Their best dish is chicken parmigiana. Yes that could be cliche, but it is my favorite meal ever. Fantastic. Are here as a kid but recently rediscovered I still love I personally ate both a 16" pizza and 24" pizza over the course of 3 days. I really like their pizza. I think they could use more sauce, but it was fresh and sweet and very tasted. The crust is both crunchy and chewy. Excellent food and friendly service. We had the Chicken Caesar Salad, the Veal Scallopini with Marsala sauce, and the Veal Scallopini with Lemon sauce. All were very tasty and cooked perfectly. This was my first time hearing about this place and going. Our waitress was nice, patient and sweet. She shared some options and some of her favs with me as a first timer. I got the special personal pizza for one minus a few toppings. I got the sausages on the side thinking it would be a small portion... shoot! I can make some noodles and have another meal with that. Best pizza in the DMV if you're looking for a true NYC slice. To be honest it's better than most pizzas I've had in NYC that were supposed to be "the best." It's a tiny family run place that's been around since I was young. True hometown diamond the in rough. Going in to pick up an order feels nostalgic almost. I also love their calzones and cannoli. Food remains decent, but the service has gone way downhill in the last three or four months. The change in ownership and staff inexperience are starting to show. Waiting 15 minutes for water, 30 minutes for two starter salads and more than an hour for our simple entrees in a half-empty restaurant is unacceptable. My husband and I decided to stop in since we live super close by! Overall we enjoyed the restaurant. We loved the bread they give you in the beginning. I would love to order like 5 of them and use them for sandwich bread! We decided to try the ricotta lovers sampler and the fettuccine a la erma. My husband thought the fettuccine needed some more salt and pepper but overall liked it. I really liked the ricotta lovers sampler. It has the baked ziti, cheese ravioli and lasagna. I wish it was a bit separated so I could tell which item I was eating. My favorite was the baked ziti though. I could tell what that was because of the type of pasta it was. I thought the meat (assuming it's from the lasagna) could have used more seasoning to it. My husband also had some basil cocktail. We got takeout for my birthday. I had had a really great eggplant parm here just pre-pandemic, and even though we could not dine in yesterday for health reasons of a family member, I really wanted that same taste. We ordered garlic bread, calamari, artichoke bruschetta, eggplant parmigiana, and veal parmigiana. The garlic bread was thin slices with little garlic. Not what I'm used to. The bruschetta was OK, the bread was mushy, though the artichoke topping was decent. The calamari was rubbery, and not cooked all the way through. Putting it in the oven for ten minutes as leftovers on day 2 helped, but not entirely. The veal parmigiana was not cooked to the right consistency, also rubbery. And the eggplant, sad to say, although at least not out of the frozen food box like at Santini's, was stringy, not cooked all the way though, and the entire mix of eggplant, cheese, and sauce just did not combine into a cohesive whole. Very disappointing. Will not order anything from them again. Even if it takes a lot more time, and it's a treat to have someone else do the cooking, I can make much better myself. read more

not sure what is going on but I have been going to Luciano's since I was a kid and they had a restaurant at Tysons. I have been going to the Oakton restaurant for 20 years. During summer of 2024, I put in a web prepaid order for antipasto salad. I live nearby so I decided to walk up with my dog. I was going to eat outside of the restaurant. I went outside with my salad and noticed that they barely gave me any dressing. I went inside and ask for a bit more dressing. They said, you owe us a dollar. I said I don't have a wallet on me and that I had ordered this salad at last 80 times over the past years and I have never had a problem with the amount of dressing. I said for some reason I barely got any dressing. I did not recognize any of these people (maybe new ownership) and I said well I don't have a dollar and I have never had this issue before so can u just give me a little more dressing. I said if you are that worried about a dollar , next time I am here , I will give it to you. The lady said no I'm not giving you any extra dressing. I told her that it's a shame that I have been a very loyal customer and they have lost my business. Have not ordered from there in six months. read more

My family loves this family restaurant. We usually order to go and have only dined in occasionally. The interior is a bit old fashioned, one may say. We love their pizza, the gnocchi treviso and their minestrone soup. Oh, and the cheesy garlic bread. The food is consistently good and fresh. We never had any issues with our orders which are ready in 15 mins or less. I'd like to try the other items on the menu, but we love our faves so much that we keep ordering the same stuff! read more
