Pretty good! There was no one when we walked in- not a single customer or staff. We looked around and ordered on the tablet. Someone eventually came out. This restaurant opened relatively recently (past few months) and is tucked away in the Newgate Shopping Center next to Trader Joe's; it's right next to the billiards shop. Here's what I tried: + Cheesy garlic focaccia (appetizer) + Pepperoni picante (pizza) + Meatball ricotta (pizza) I decided to dine-in because that way I'd get to enjoy the freshest and hottest pizza coming out of the brick oven. So glad that I did! I could see the pizza coming straight out of the oven and right to my table. Everything here was delicious! Both of the pizzas that I ordered were loaded with ricotta as well as freshly cut basil. The focaccia was jam-packed with garlic and was so cheesy. My boyfriend and I got 2 pizzas for takeout: Dolce Vita and Margarita. I was hoping to be impressed since this 'za is a little pricier than what I'm used to paying (also dominos is right next door lol). Dolce vita: the flavors of this pizza are super unique and work really well together. Unfortunately, the structural integrity does not work (at least for takeout). When we got home to eat the pizza, it was very soggy and falling apart. I think the steam from the pizza plus the already wet ingredients tanked it. You can see in the photo I posted that the center of the pizza is just mush. I'd want to try this pizza again but not for takeout. Margarita: this pizza was just okay. Nothing special. I also noticed that basil looked cooked? Typically, in my experience, Margarita pizzas are topped with fresh basil AFTER the pizza comes out of the oven. So not sure if the cooked basil was intentional but the basil lost its flavor by being in the oven Overall, the $19 dolce vita pizza was not worth it. And $14 is probably the absolute maximum i would pay for the margarita. read more

I am doing Christmas pizza this year. It is not my first, but this time I wanted to try another place. Artisana was that place. The menu is small, but great pizza choices or you have the option to create your own. The pizza size only comes in maybe a small , but I feel it is a great size and doesn't allow me to over order. Today I got the Pepperoni pincante ( without the hot honey) and the Blanca. Both were deliscious. On the first one the sauce has a slight sweetness and is deliscious. Good crust on both. I am glad I came in today. I met the owner. The space is medium sized and open, so you can people watch as well during the day. Our first time ordering here was fine- delivery was a little longer but the food was tasty and hot. Second time was tonight and we ordered at 9:01 with an estimated 25-48 delivery window. Staff helped us decide on the focaccia and meatball ricotta pizza which were both ready quickly. Always love trying out a new pizza joint that isn't a chain. This is located a couple doors down from Trader Joe's. It wasn't busy at all when we went and the staff was very nice. The restaurant looked very clean and I do enjoy that the pizzas are made in an actual pizza oven. The pizza was good. My kid who is pretty picky was a fan. We ordered a cheese pizza and I was a little surprised there was no size option however for 16$ 20 once tax and tip was added into it I didn't think the pizza would be small. It was small. If you have a growing kid this is almost a personal pan size. I am comparing this to our go to pizza place in Clifton which has the same price pizza but it is significantly bigger. Been looking for legit NY/NJ style pie for a while ever since Pomodoro's in Fair Oaks closed down. This is more Neapolitan style but damn is it great. I have been going straight down their menu and finding favorites quickly. The Margherita is one of the finest I have tried, pretty much order one weekly now. The meatball ricotta is loaded with chunks of ricotta and the meatballs taste house-made. The Pepperoni picante is incredible - don't complain about the size of the pepperonis until you experience the flavor profile. Truly something special. The Dolce Vita was a bit sweet for my taste but quite savory as well. Did I mention the brick oven? The interior is nice and clean with a full bar. Staff is friendly. Reasonable pricing. Artisana Pizza has a new digital tablet for ordering in the restaurant. The problem is, it does not work well at all. Worse, the employees cannot take your order themselves, you literally have to use this digital tablet or you cannot order. It would not let us build a custom pizza. We asked for help multiple times and then asked multiple times if they could just take our order manually. They refused so we walked out without ordering. Worse, they were very rude to us and it was obvious they had no interest in helping us. They have great pizza, but who cares if you cannot actually order one! What is the point of having employees that cannot take your order. Rediculous. We will not be returning until they fix this new system of theirs. We spoke to several other people in the attached Bar and they had the same issue. So it looks like they are losing a lot of business. Just came here for dinner. Ordered the Burrata and tomato, cheesy garlic focaccia and Dolce Vita pizza. The Burrata and tomato says it's fresh Burrata and Roma tomato. It was neither. I watched the guy behind the prep counter open a plastic container like what you can get at Giant and plop two balls of not fresh cheese on a mountain of arugula with a few slices of average regular tomato. NOT Roma. Not even close to ripe. The Cheesy Garlic focaccia was one of those three. Cheesy. No garlic taste at all and the same dough they make the pizza with which is ok but it's not focaccia. The Dolce Vita pizza... tasted very floral. Thin slivers of ham and another pile of arugula with a few blobs of fig "jam". Can't recommend. The server was friendly but that's about it. Felt at home my server Giselle was a good server and made me feel comfortable the meatball ricotta is forever my fave pizza there.

Although the pizzas seem to be good quality with good ingredients, they only come as mediums. So they are a bit pricy for what you get.
