If it was only the dinner and our waitress at dinner, I would give 5 stars. Just delicious. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and pleasant. Where I have disappointment is the whole vibe before we sat for dinner. When I arrived, I let the hostess know I was a little early for my reservation and just wanted to check in and I was going to the bar while I waited for my friend to come. At first she couldn't find my reservation and I stood in awkward silence while she looked. And then barely a response when she found it. It just felt very unwelcoming. So I went and sat at the bar, where there were only three other people sitting. Not busy at all. The bar staff was noticeably annoyed at something and complaining to each other about something, which as far as I'm concerned should not ever be seen by a customer. There were two bartenders - one was clearly the service bartender for the wait staff, and there was another one for what appeared to be for the bar customers. I was there for probably a good five to ten minutes before anyone even made eye contact with me. Mind you, the bar was pretty much empty, I was alone, and the bartender was leaning against the bar with her hands folded chatting with a customer. It felt like I was purposely being avoided. Very strange vibe and not what you'd expect at a restaurant such as Luciano's. Eventually I called the bartender over and she gave me barely a hello. I asked if they had a blood orange martini and she just said no and then silence. So I asked if they had anything similar to that, and she said "not really" and again, silence. Really strange. So I ordered my normal go to, a dirty martini. She walked away and made it without a word. When she gave it to me, it was very full and spilled all over the cocktail napkin and she just walked away. I'm not even sure it was a dirty because I didn't really taste the olive juice but she was gone so fast I couldn't ask her. I asked the service bartender if I could have some olive juice and he gave me a side car of it without a word pretty much. When my friend got there and joined me at the bar, she pretty much got the same treatment. After she sat for a few minutes and no one greeted her or asked what she'd like to drink, we called her over and she ordered her drink. This was not a relaxing or enjoyable feeling so we decided to just go to our table then. Thank goodness the dinner experience was good, because it did not start out that way. When you go out to a nice restaurant, you are paying for the experience as well as the food and drink. Very disappointing that a restaurant with this much history and success would be like this. I hope it was just a fluke and isn't the direction the restaurant is going. Luciano's is one of the few truly elegant restaurants left in the area and service is so important to the experience. read more

Lucianos canceled our reservations for 6 one day before the Super Bowl because a 5" snow storm that is schedule to end mid morning. The reservation was for three couples traveling from three separate states all with hotel reservations. We've checked the Foxborough area for other nice restaurants but no one has availability with such short notice. When booking the reservation 2 weeks ago, they expressed that they would have a 3:30pm last seating to allow their employees to get home for kick off. Looks like they're more interested in games than customers. This had been one of our favorite places. It's too bad that they don't keep their commitments. read more

Four of us Visited Luciano's on Sunday January 14, 2024 in Wrentham MA. The Veal Parm was served with cold spots throughout. The server said they would provide a new one. They ended up using a microwave to reheat my Veal Parm and it did not taste very good afterwards. Later on - After ordering a crème bruelle desert Luciano's server said the manager had removed the cost of the desert from the bill for our inconvenience. When reviewing the final bill the manager nor our server removed the cost of the Crème brulle until we noticed and asked. The other three meals were fine but the Chicken Parm was served only luke warm. Truly disappointing from what Luciano's was once known for. read more

Super friendly host! He made some small talk with me as he kindly walked us to our table, and made us feel welcomed. Our server came to us right away and she dropped off our menus along with filling up our glasses with water. She also dropped off some yummy breads. We ended up ordering a shrimp scampi, a gnocchi entree, and two specials that they had that day. The special was a salmon plate. The food was delicious! My salmon was cooked perfectly. It came served on top of mashed potatoes along with spinach and artichokes. It was soo good! The gnocchi was also really good! They were very creamy! I haven't been to such a great Italian restaurant since Lina's ( little Italy) NYC. Traditional old school atmosphere, excellent and knowledge wait staff. The medley appetizer was amazing. Eggplant, sausage, stuffed mushrooms, calamari that was crispy and light. The specials were perfectly put together with a ribeye tomahawk that was amazing! The chicken picatta was light and perfectly seasoned with lemon and butter. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back! read more

This was my first visit to Luciano's.My husband had had dinner there a few times in the past, during business trips to the area and each and every time he would tell me how much I would love it there. He was right! We were finally able to eat there together last weekend. It was as good, if not better, than how my husband had described it. The restaurant itself, is large and nicely decorated. The staff was welcoming. Our server, Cam, was very competent. He knew the specials by heart, described them in detail and graciously answered all our questions. He was attentive and respectful. As soon as we sat down, they gave us two kinds of bread and a dipping sauce. For appetizers, we ordered raw clams and raw oysters. They were nice and fresh. We were served small house salads with our meals; just the right size and with very tasty, local tomatoes. My husband ordered the swordfish, which he loved. I ordered the Chilean sea bass, which was cooked to perfection. As a side dish, they served us cauliflower in béchamel sauce. It was exquisite. My husband mentioned to Cam how much I liked it and he brought us more. We didn't have room for dessert but I did have a decaf espresso for the perfect ending to this lovely meal. We dined here with another couple who suggested we eat here and boy are we happy we took their suggestion! This is old school Italian food at its finest. Two kinds of bread and olive oil was provided as soon as we were seated. We opted to skip appetizers and enjoyed a simple house salad which came with each of our entrees. A vegetable side was served family style at the table. My wife and I spit two entrees, the Vodka Pasta and Chicken Parm. I loved the Vodka Pasta which had pancetta and peas in it, the pasta was homemade and perfectly cooked, the sauce was luxuriously rich and flavorful. The Chicken Parm was cooked perfectly with the outside of the chicken being crispy and the inside being juicy. The chicken part had a good amount of Mozzarella/sauce on it and was one of the better versions I've had. The apple tart was delicious as well. Staff was attentive throughout the meal and the restaurant itself had a warm intimate feeling. This is a great place for date night and high quality Italian food! read more

Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary last night 10/3. When we were first married we would go there for our anniversary until one year was not satisfied. Decided to give it a try as it was our place to go and have to say we were not disappointed! Greeted as we walked in and Kevin our server and was very friendly and efficient! The food was delicious. Started with calamari and French onion soup...yum. He ordered chicken parmigiana and I had the chicken Francese. Oh, the lemon drop martini and chocolate martini delish. The Caesar salad served in what looked like a huge plate but was actually a small bowl, very disappointing, the lettuce was far from crisp. The meatballs were shameful, flavor was nonexistent. The food was good however my husband's birthday was ruined. We were a party of 8 and spent over 700 dollars for very rude service. We watched our food sit for quite a long time to the point my oldest son went to the manager. The food was preprepared again however our server than when serving our entrees said sorry it took so long and so many people walked by. When I confronted him regarding his statement he said he was referring to the cork on the bottle of wine. Not only did he miss out on our usual 30% tip but he also made sure we will never return. We are locals but it was so bad and his treatment of me so rude that my oldest son left his father's birthday celebration due to his anger of how his mother was treated. We went into this place on a whim after a busy day with the kids. We walk in and was immediately looked at by the desk lady at like we didnt belong there. We immediately felt uncomfortable. We were with three kids that were very well-behaved, but constantly felt like people didn't want us there, including the staff. Don't get me wrong. The food was delicious. The bread was absolutely out of this world. Everything was nicely cooked. My daughter enjoyed the torte. Our creme brulee was still cold but very good. I understand it was a more upscale restaurant, but I don't feel like we should've felt uncomfortable the entire time just because we are with three kids. I don't live in the area so I did not know they frowned upon children being in the building. I definitely would return, but probably not with kids. Went to Luciano's last night for an anniversary dinner. We had 14 people in our party and were pretty much ignored. It was 2 hours before we received our food! They rarely came to check on us. I finally had to tell someone about it. It was really bad. It was only then that we were paid attention to. They comped our 2 appetizers, but I honestly don't think that was enough. This is my FAVORITE restaurant to visit. I have travelled quite a bit and I think Luciano has THE best filet mignon and italian food around. Even beats the big city places if you ask me. Been to the Foxboro/Mansfield area so many times and didn't discover Luciano's until my last trip. It's definitely going to be part of my rotation of restaurants now. Got the NY steak and it was really good....much better than expected to be honest. I wasn't expecting much from a random Italian place i stumbled across in a small town.... and being a bit of a steak connoisseur I was quite happy with my meal. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion, having family dinner or on a date night, Luciano's won't disappoint. Luciano's has been in business for over 30 years and the consistency and quality of his dishes has not changed. Our favorite appetizer selection is the Melanzana Ripiene and Mozzarella Caprese. The tomatoes are huge in the Caprese! We especially like the Chicken Marsala and Chicken Saltimbocca main course. The chicken is so soft and tender, no knife needed to cut! No need to leave before dessert. Luciano's has a wonderful selection! Tiramisu is a must have! Service is good in restaurant, I am disappointed about no take out on Saturday evenings. The focaccia bread served as appetizer has changed. It used to have a nice blend of tomatoes and garlic. Now only has some cheese topping and garlic. I am disappointed that the original topping blend was changed. If you arrive early afternoon, there is usually an older crowd but as the night goes on it is more diverse. Bon Appetit! read more

My friends and I went here on a whim (we were trying to go to foxboro stadium area but there was too much traffic for a preseason game). The service, food and drinks were all good. They had some extras they gave us, like two versions of bread and also cauliflower gratin (I wasn't a fan of the gratin but appreciated it nonetheless). The meals came with a salad and the house Italian dressing was good. I got a shrimp dish - Gamberi Alla Toscana - it was very good. I didn't love the strawberry shortcake but could be personal preference. My friends got chicken dishes and enjoyed them. I would return if in the area again. read more

It's rare to see management bussing tables, but the sense I get is that everybody is there to help each other to make the dining experience delightful! Absolutely awful experience at Luciano's tonight. We ordered the appetizer Caprese Mozzerella and it was never brought to us. We were given our salads and the waitress told us it would "be right out." However, our main courses were brought out before we got our appetizer. Which typically is no big deal...just remove it from the bill. I ordered the special, steak au poivre. It looked great, but when I cut into it, there was a long black string. I couldn't tell if it was a piece of a hair net or what. I pointed out to the waitress. She apologized and then took it away. She came back to the table about 10 minutes later saying they were cooking me a new one. I wished she would have asked me if I wanted that. After seeing the string or hair net, I didn't really want to eat anything. A minute later, she brought over the steak which looked burnt on top. At this point, I asked her to bring a box and the check because I was over this experience. When I received the bill, she had taken off the Caprese Mozzarella, but charged me for 2 of the steak au poivre. I pointed this out to her and asked her to remove one from the bill, which she did. Overall, this was a terrible experience. We made reservations for an early Valentine's Day and it turned out to be really crappy. I am disappointed in Luciano's food quality and the lack of management even attempting to come over to speak to us. We will not be back any time soon! read more

We came from out of town and spent the day shopping at the Wrentham Village Premium Outlets. It was late by the time we finished up and we wanted good food so we turned to Yelp. What a terrific find. This is a local restaurant, and very old school in every way. I wish I had brought along a blazer given how most people here were dressed up. The majority of the customers appear to be regulars, and they look like they've been coming for decades, and now I know why. We had seen reviews that service is gruff, but it is actually just very traditional. Our server, Franky, was not of the Fake Smile School of Crap Service, but he was very efficient and got everything we needed and then some (more on that later). He pointed us to some very choice items on (and off) the menu. I ended up ordering the burrata with grilled peaches, arugula and a honey / reduced balsamic vinegar drizzle, and the seafood cioppino over linguini. The combination of the creamy burrata with the savory, sweet, sour and bitter notes of everything present on the plate made for a flavor-packed starter. The freshness of the seafood and the sheer size of the cioppino at the price I paid is a steal; it could have easily fed 2 starving people. The best part is that Franky surprised us with an oversized cannoli for dessert, on the house. We didn't do anything other than make sure he knew we were enjoying our meal. If you are anywhere near Luciano's, even if it is slightly out of your way, make the effort to stop by here. You will not be disappointed. read more

Having driven by Luciano's many times over the years, we finally had the opportunity to go for dinner. We got there a little early, even though we had a reservation for 5:30 and promptly seated. The food: We started off with some chianti and the bread/oil and focaccia bread. Enjoyed all of this very much. The waiter said the special was meatballs with a bit of ricotta on top. You just know we had to try that! Very good. Just the way Abner likes them. Entrees come with a salad, with a Balsamic dressing. A little too much dressing for me, so I should have asked for it on the side. I got the Paparadelle alla Bolognese and Abner got the Fusilloni Arrabiata. We both enjoyed our entrees very much. I think I read they make their own pasta there. Service was excellent. This was our first time here and I wasn't a fan of the room in which we were seated. There was a funny smell in there and they had scented candles around, which made me wonder if there was an issue going on. An odor they were trying to conceal. The table was in a high traffic area, so that was distracting for me as well. For these reasons, my overall experience wasn't 5 stars. Before leaving, I walked around and saw the other rooms, which were much nicer and I will keep this in mind for future visits. We were so stuffed by the time we left, that we had our leftovers for dinner the next night. A little pricey, but you get a lot for your money. read more
