I'm visiting in Longmont and my friend suggested we try Lucile's since it was close to the house. Great choice! He got an omelet that was humped like a turtle shell. Huge! I got the Cajun Breakfast with beans and ham and poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce. Tasty. We both got grits and Creole seasoned potatoes that were delicious! Both breakfasts came with a "biscuit" that had been made in a pan and sliced up. It, too, was huge! It came with deseeded strawberry jelly. With a coffee the bill came to $41. We both left very full and satisfied and feeling like we had just discovered a gem in the area. The five star review was well deserved. A must try. read more

One of my absolute favorite breakfast and brunch spots in Longmont! We've been here multiple times, and the food and service are consistently wonderful. You can always count on the food being fresh, delicious, and cooked to perfection--which is something I really appreciate in a local spot. And I have to give a special shoutout to their biscuits and gravy... hands down, the best in all of Boulder County! They've become one of those places that we know we can always count on for a great meal and friendly service. My only wish is that they were open later so I could enjoy their food all day (and honestly, sometimes for dinner too ). If you're local to Longmont and haven't tried them yet, definitely add them to your breakfast/brunch rotation! Such a gem in the community. Lucile's is a must, especially for breakfast. The Beignets were incredible! So fresh and the perfect texture. They may very well be the best beignets I've ever had. We split a 1/2 order (shown in photo.) My Pain Perdu was absolutely perfect, as well. It's a New Orleans style French Toast. Nice texture using a unique bread. The Louisiana sausage was delicious, slightly spicy, and full of flavor. The dish came with a nice variety of fresh fruit -- orange slice, strawberry, and grapes. But the coup de grâce is the house made syrup! Cinnamon notes and ??? (The syrup is not clear, but cloudy.) So good... and warmed. Service was friendly and on point, too. Ambiance is very quaint. i've only ever been to the Lucille's in Boulder. But since I was in the area, I decided to come in for breakfast. Since it was the middle of the week, I felt it was pretty non-busy. I still love the home-y vibe as well the yellow tint to the house. My favorite food will always be the biscuits and their homemade strawberry rhubarb jam. Ended up taking two biscuits and a jar of their jam to go. For two biscuits and jam it was around $16. It was definitely an expense, but I feel like the homemade jam is always worth it read more

Not too sweet with a lovely pillowy center! With coffee this is a slam dunk. Just don't make the same mistake I did and blow on it to cool it down (powdered sugar EVERYWHERE). - Blackened Salmon - $18.90 - Great blackened flavor. If you like Cajun blackened flavor then you'll love this. Salmon perfectly cooked as were the eggs! Cajun home fries was pretty good especially if you like that Cajun seasoning. - Country Fried Steak - $16 - This was absolutely delicious. We visited this place for a nice breakfast before heading up to Rocky Mountain National Park. Our Airbnb was in Longmont, so this was conveniently in the same area. The food was super hearty and tasted like a home cooked meal. Food ordered: - Beignets: Delicious fried pillows of bready pastries covered in a generous dusting of powdered sugar. The pastry was not too sweet, which was nice, and tasted yummy with their homemade strawberry rhubarb jam! - Cajun Breakfast: A ton of food, with red beans with meat, 2 eggs, hollandaise. Having lived in New Orleans it's wonderful to have this New Orleans style restaurant in my neighborhood. The music and the ambiance bring back memories of my time in NOLA. One of my favorite dishes is the Pain Perdu which is New Orleans style French toast. The homemade syrup is swoon worthy! I add an extra egg & substitute the bacon for sausage. There's also fruit in the plate! The servings are so large at this restaurant! They have one of my favorite chais in Colorado. However (and I may be the only person who feels this way), the beignets are nothing like the ones in New Orleans. They are supposed to be light and fluffy on the inside, but these are heavy and do not have the correct consistency. Ok ok - so this place is so darling. It is an old home converted restaurant. Very charming with surprisingly a lot of seating inside and outside. I decided to take first available because of how packed it was but would have loved to enjoy the outside space. ( especially in good weather) Food food food: Gumbo - was warm and I didn't return it but felt it could have been hot. It felt like it was left out for a while and then served or brought to me. We have always loved this place but haven't been here for awhile. It has clearly changed management since we last came. We arrived and were greeted promptly, seated. Then we were ignored for 20 minutes with no water, which would be understandable if it were busy. It was not busy at all which should have tipped us off since historically it is always busy. When the server finally got around to us, she was friendly enough and then she promptly forgot us again. When our order arrived she had forgotten a side which I reminded her we had ordered. Then she ignored us again, never bringing the side. It was terrible service and we both agreed the food in the Fort Collins location is better. (Bigger biscuits and larger servings). Very disappointing for those of us who have great memories of how good the food and service was here. Sadly we will not be back. read more

I have the memory of an ant, but I remember breakfast at Lucille's in Fort Collins ten years ago. I vividly remember where I sat, what I ordered, and how incredible I thought it was. Apparently folks have caught on and Lucille's has grown like weeds. I knew I had to go when I heard a location up in Longmont. I overheard a waitress saying that the owner was in the kitchen today. The grits and biscuit were too salty though the grits texture was perfect. The biscuit is cut from a sheet pan, not a round biscuit and cake like in texture. The creamed spinach was tepid, flavor was good, didn't seem fresh. The eggs were properly poached. The three medium shrimp were boiled or poached, tail on, not grilled as is typical in the South. Lucile's is the cutest little cafe! We love coming here for breakfast! Their coffee and teas are delicious. I always get the Homemade Chai and Beignets to start. Their menu has lots of Cajun/creole specialties such as, andouille, hot Louisiana sausage, grits, red beans, Cajun style salmon, béarnaise sauce, Gulf shrimp, etc. Also their buttermilk biscuits are huge! It's a great place to go if you want to try something new and different or if you're from the south, I'm sure it would remind you of home! The restaurant itself is not large, it has been transformed from a house built 1910! It is very cute and cozy inside and has old photos of Louisiana and Mardi Gras decorations on the walls.
