I've been going there for YEARS. This is what I got after asking the dude if it was fresh...he said 20 min out...sorry,, this is not 20 min out. It's a burned out bottom. Threw both slices in the trash. And I'm devastated about having to give this review...granted, I did call, and the owner answered after my 2nd call, (1st call, I was hung up one and I was NOT rude or nasty) I assume, offered to replace, however, I am not leaving my house again to pick up slices again after I specifically asked if they were fresh. Nor do I want to make some poor delivery guy deliver when I am NOT going to tip him. And, the prices have gone up...if I wanted burned pizza slices, I could make my own or buy frozen. It's just totally unacceptable. I will pay higher prices...I get it, but NOT for burned food that I cannot eat. read more

Delicious quaint spot. Wasn't busy at all and the aroma drew us to have brunch for breakfast. The service was friendly and the food is delicious! Small sit down area and take out keeping locals very happy. I stopped in and tried a chicken Marsala gourmet slice and, Wow! - did they do it right! Not too salty and well balanced on the ingredients and satisfyingly filling. Wow, that was really great pizza. I grew up in this area, but live in DC now where I can't get good pizza. So every time I'm back in NYC or Westchester, I try to grab a slice. This is probably my favorite pizzeria in Westchester. They do have a free parking lot, but if it's full, you can just park out in the front. The staff is really welcoming and it feels homey inside. The slices are huge and I always get two to satisfy my hunger. Perfectly melted cheese, robust tomato sauce, and thin crispy crust - what more could you ask for in a pizza? YUMMYYYYY! Picked up a pizza. Got home and found the entire bottom was burnt. Called and asked for another delivered. Guy on the other end wanted the pizza to be brought back for proof. I tried a couple of different kinds of pizza from here. I would give five stars but I am only giving four for a couple of reasons - one, this is definitely a no frills pizzeria - a little decor wouldn't hurt...second, I felt they could be a little more friendly with their customers - not just me personally, but everyone in there. That's just my opinion when people are in any service industry. All in all, in terms of the pizza, no complaints whatsoever! Their pizza was outstanding. Far better than I imagined. Marg style and a classic slice and YUM. I will definitely be back. Just hope they can at least smile next time, or I suppose in today's circumstances, just sport a mask with a smile (not that I'm a fan of masks)! I have worked in restaurants, retail, you name it...and even if you aren't having the best day at work, it's crucial in these types of businesses to appreciate the fact that customers pick up on vibes and want to eat, shop, etc. where they feel welcome. There is a lot of competition for pizza supremacy in this area. Lucio's is one of the best. I have gone here for years. Coming from the Bronx, I know what pizza should taste like. Lucio's makes a great pizza. The crust is crisp. They don't overdo it with cheese. In some places I have to ask for extra sauce and well done. Here I just order and it is the way I like it. I absolutely love this shop! It's a great family owned business that makes pretty much everything from scratch. They have a ton of delicious options to choose from as well. I live in Rhode Island and every time I come to New York I HAVE to stop in and grab pizza and usually take another full pizza back with me. My personal favorite is half buffalo chicken and half barbecue chicken which they will always make with whatever toppings your heart desires so it's your way. Whenever I come in, I'm treated as family which is not something you see in many places anymore. My coworker and I often visit this place for the pasta. They're usually nice people. In the past when we've ordered stuffed shells we have received 4, because we split them. Today we received 3 and were told that's the amount they usually give. That's a lie. Once we began to eat the shells we realized they were cold on the inside. No one apologized or was even remotely sorry. They just put it back in the oven and when it was done had us to come and get it. Good pizza but sometimes their pies are hit or miss. One day, you could get a stellar pie; another day it's a very doughy disappointment. I find these guys are better on weekdays than during the Friday-Saturday dinner rush. They do non-pizza items pretty well like hot chicken parm and egglplant parm wedges. Great pizza. Was in the area and in the mood for a good slice, so I checked yelp and decided to come here. Got a plain slice and a grandma slice. The plain slice was awesome, probably one of the better slices I've had. I would absolutely return just for that alone if I am in the area. The crust to sauce to cheese ratio was perfect, and was seasoned very well. I didnt even need to add my usual garlic & red pepper. The grandma slice on the other hand wasn't great. I think partially it was too much cheese, and partially they overcooked it a bit when heating it up for me. But even with that not being great, I'd still return for the plain slice. Lucio's Pizzeria is pretty good. If you buy it there, the pizza quality is the best ever. If you deliver it, the quality is still good. For the most part, it's cheap. They are not observing mask etiquette. We picked up pizza from here a couple of weeks ago and they didn't have masks on (though they put them on after we were inside) and so we gave them one more chance tonight. Unfortunately, they still weren't wearing masks and they didn't even have the door propped open. This time around the employees never put on their masks while we were there. Personally, this makes us very nervous and other people should know that mask protocols are not in place there before choosing to go. (this isn't reflective of their food... we simply think people should know ahead of time that it doesn't seem that masks are worn) read more
