I've rated this restaurant before but tonight, I was reading some of the low rated reviews and I must say my experiences have always been excellent. As for the one that talked about racial preference I have seen Alice and her team show everyone the same level of respect and my food has always been exceptional. I could always count on the consistency of my orders, which means a lot to me. It saddens me because I know what it is to be a small business owner and I believe in my heart that Alice, her husband and Mary do everything possible to please their customers. Ordered delivery of beef fried rice and egg rolls. The egg rolls were of the style I remember with the excellent fried won ton(?) wrap instead of the new-fangled very thin wrap which I don't care for that seems to be the norm now. These were very tasty and had some substance to them. The fried rice was good, and the beef was very lean and tender, however the rice could have used a little more oyster sauce as it was a little on the bland side. I added some soy sauce which helped, but in my opinion a little more oyster sauce and some chopped scallions would have been a plus. All in all, it was very good and we'll order more from them. read more

My job had ordered Lucky Bamboo for todays lunch, and I'm honestly appalled by the experience. Everything was going fine until I found a worm in my meal. My colleague immediately brought it to the attention of the staff, but the response was less than apologetic. No offer to replace the meal or even an apology. This is completely unacceptable, especially for a place that should be following basic food safety standards. Needless to say, I won't be coming back and I won't be recommending this place to anyone, especially not for a work event. It's a shame, because we were hoping to make it a regular spot. It was not tasty and I felt like it could've been cooked longer. I ate a few pieces and put it in the fridge to try again the next day, thinking that maybe my taste buds were off, but the next day, the dish had turned gray. Nope. Disgusting. Green beans - 3/5 stars. Not bad. Not great either. Egg rolls - 3/5 stars. Same as the green beans. Crab rangoon - 4/5 stars. These were the best part of my meal - very tasty. I'd order those again. The customer service is phenomenal. The lady that runs the front, I believe she may be the owner is an absolute joy. Even when its busy she makes time to acknowledge everyone. Now the food. This is the best Chinese food in the dallas area. The sweet and sour pork is a huge hit with my family. Everything is always piping hot and made to order. The egg drop soup is one of my favorite soups ive ever had. This food is amazing. The freshness is great. As a personal chef myself, this is the kind of food im looking for as a perfect night in meal. You wont regret it! Order direvtly from their site, its extremely easy to use and I love that for them. What a great experience with our order. Food was absolutely delicious, generous, and we loved the abundance of VEGETABLES in both entrees (Kung Po Chicken and Scallop and Shrimp Delight-hold the Scallops). Eggrolls were freshly made, so the filling had crispy cabbage, and the Chicken Dumplings (fried-meaning pot-sticker style) were also spot on. Can't wait to try other dishes. Best Chinese food we have found so far! We recently relocated from California (I know I know) and we are on the struggle bus when it comes to food. But we drove into Dallas last night to give this place a try and boy are we glad we did! There was a couple leaving as we were walking in, and they were so sweet and informed plus that everything is delicious, the owners name is Alice, and she is very kind and great with substitutions! Which is a big deal to us. They were right! Everything we ordered was AMAZING! She even brought us some pickled cabbage that was DELICIOUS! The egg drop soup was amazing!! I love adding some pepper to it. We were very pleasantly surprised all the way around. We will be going back for sure! Can't wait to see what we get next time! Also, the facility was very clean! So looking for a NY style Cantonese restaurant in Plano for my 88 yr old mom who we just moved here. We stumbled upon Lucky Bamboo. The owner heard we were from NY and she came over introduced herself and really took care of my mom. The hot and sour soup took me back to my Wo Hop basement days. We ordered 4 dishes that were right on point. After our meal the owner came by and gave us Chinese almond cookie and you know that feeling you get when you become nostalgic-- well. Every single item was the freshest possible and cooked perfectly. My waitress, Mary, asked how I liked the sweet dipping sauce. I said it was too sweet. She told me how they made it in the kitchen, with applesauce in it. She strongly suggested that the sweet sauce needed to be combined with the very spicy yellow mustard. I tried it on the Wanton strips and she was spot on! It was delicious that way. I had another food question and she had a thorough answer. They seem very accommodating for making food exactly how you'd like it. The restaurant was is a large open room, clean. When you walk in, it's very clear you've entered a Chinese restaurant.
