    Never enough

I discovered lucky dog as they were just getting started 7 years ago. At that time Scott was still experimenting with his black label - IIRC the initial batches were still amazing but lacked a bit of heat. Then he threw in Trinidad scorpions and wow, game changer. If you haven't tried it you haven't had real hot sauce - there I said it. Throughout these years I've always tried to keep some lucky dog around at home but they just go so quickly - every friend that had tried it wanted me to buy them some. The unique thing about lucky dog is that the sauces are packed with flavor, incredibly well balanced - never too much sweetness, vinegar, or too much capsaicin found in a majority of hot sauces out there. Thanks Scott for spoiling me and never wanting any other hot sauce again. My personal favorites: - year of the dog - black label

Great sauces for many things. Bloody Mary's, fruit, bbq sauce....love the flavors. Cherry chipotle makes or breaks my bloody marrys now, can't go without it.

Anyone who knows me at all knows my love of hot sauce. I'll try anything, but really on the hunt for the best sauces with good consistency, lots of kick, and great flavor! I joined a girlfriend for dinner at her house a couple nights ago and she whipped out a bottle of Lucky Dog that her friend had given her. She said she was terrified of it just reading the scorpion-pepper-filled ingredient list. I responded by grabbing a spoon. This stuff is soooo good! It was hot, but not so hot I didn't enjoy the sauce with our meal. It didn't leave my mouth stinging (though, she looked like she could have used a glass of milk with it!) Great flavor!! I'm in love and now I totally want to try the other varieties! Really neat they are a local company too!

Trash. Went right in the rubbish. Lost several customers from my household. We won't ever buy again and certainly don't recommend.

Scott has the BEST hot sauce! 3

Love the hot sauce. The fruits in the hot sauce are amazing and should all be tried for adventure unless you can't handle the heat.

Ask the Community - Lucky Dog Hot Sauce

Are you at the Hayward farmers market still?

Hi, sorry no - I’ve been at the Grand Lake, Oakland farmers market for a few years now. Snappy’s Cafe on A St carries most of my varieties though - it’s right around the corner from that market!…

She was extremely nice and accommodating, even outside of the bakery's business hours since we were super late. We taste tested and loved ALL the flavors, but ended up with matcha, ube, and vanilla. During the day of the wedding, Natalie and her team promptly delivered this beautiful 3 tiered custom themed cake. It was completely hassle free (I don't even know when she dropped it off on the hectic day), and exactly how we imagined it to be. Additionally all the guests loved the design and especially the flavor, so we were definitely feeling a little proud for choosing for this place. Thank you Natalie for this amazing cake!!

Hands down they have the best drinks, cookies, macarons, cakes, and now salt bread! I always come to get treats for my kid's teachers (for their birthdays, teacher appreciation week, just because, etc.). I've brought friends visiting the Bay Area to this bakery, which they have loved. Always Yours also has fun cup sleeve events, macaron classes and afternoon tea from time to time. We love supporting small businesses and this one is definitely worth supporting! P.S. with all these drink places popping up in the area...we still think the drinks at Always Yours not only taste better, but also are of higher quality.

I finally found some time to visit with my cousin on a quiet Friday early afternoon. We were greeted to a beautiful, clean, and well organized store by the kind and polite owner, Areej. The vibe of the store very much so echoed a candy store you'd find in a shopping mall, except all the sweet treats are handmade and imported from countries such as Palestine and Turkey. Areej was very kind and welcoming and walked us through each of the different sweet treats, such as truffles and Turkish delights. There are also various mixed roasted nuts options with unique seasonings, and even Dubai chocolate strawberry cups! Areej was kind and generous, providing ample samples of the Turkish delights in flavors like Oreo, Dubai chocolate, birthday cake, and even sesame chocolate! My cousin also really likes their mixed party nuts that had a great spicy kick to it from a special blend of imported spices. Because of Areej's hospitality and generosity, as well as the prime quality of the chocolate truffles, mixed toasted nuts, and Turkish delights we were able to sample, I definitely did not hesitate to take home some delectable goodies (see photos). There also were skincare products made in Palestine, and I bought this homemade rose scented olive oil soap that I'll be gifting to my friend for her birthday :) Thank you so much, Areej, for being so welcoming! We will definitely recommend to others and come back! PS: It was mentioned that in the past, many people would walk in, sample large amounts of the shop's goodies, and then rudely leave the store without buying anything. Honestly, that's so distasteful! We need to support small businesses as much as possible, and even buying as much as one tiny chocolate truffle helps sustain businesses like The Old City Roastery. Businesses that make our diverse SF Bay Area so rich in culture and high-quality foreign culinary cuisines. Have some decorum, yall!!
