Service was great! Food was Tasteless. "Roasted Duck" Extremely salty. Not really that edible when it's to salty. "Wonton Soup" No flavor in the broth not was the wonton noodle,and meat inside flavorful. "Beef Chow Fun" No flavor at all. Overall I think they need to not put so much salt whether it's soy sauce or whatever in the roasted duck,and possibly add salt to the other dishes,and also might want to taste the food before You serve it. Yes, finally! Some tasty beef chow fun. Everything coated, not a white noodle in site. Also, they were not skimpy on the beef. My hot and sour could have been a touch more spicy. An okay place for Chinese food. Flavor is good but textures are a bit questionable. Some of the Mongolian beef was mushy also there was barely any mushrooms in the Bok Choy w/mushrooms. Probably 5 pcs at max. The food was pretty pricy as well considering how much they gave compared to what you can get from other places. Overall they weren't bad but not as good as we hoped for on that day. I can see why they have a solid 4 stars. 1st - No dine in right now, take out only! My first time here, never even noticed the place in a desolate tiny strip mall off Tennessee, behind the (non)Dollar General. I ordered bbq pork fried rice and the lady taking my order suggested cherry chicken. Never heard of it, but super glad we tried it. Cherry chicken was hella crispy, fresh, piping hot and delicious. Rice is flavorful and packed, not the "soy sauce" rice some places serve as a filler. This is officially my go-to place for Chinese in the V. I'll be back to try more. read more

There's a white board with dim sum plus a large menu of traditional and local Chinese options. Shumai with a flavorful soy sauce mixture. The war wonton soup with a robust chicken broth, wontons, bbq pork, and chicken. Also loaded with fresh veggies. The combination chow mein had shrimp, chicken and beef. I started coming to Lucky Garden a few months ago on a whim. We were looking for some decent Chinese restaurants in Vallejo, have tried a few other places once before and finally came across this one. We asked the woman at the front counter for any suggestions or what her favorite dish was, she told us to try the "Cherry Chicken." We loved her pick so much that we've gotten it each time we've come back and have also tried plenty of the dishes so far. I also like the hot n sour soup! Ever since one of our favorite Chinese restaurants closed down, nothing has ever compared until we tried Lucky Garden! I have been wanting to try this place for awhile, but we don't go out much and rely on food delivery apps. When we found out that the owner was the original cook from our old favorite place, we just had to go. We ordered our entrees to go off menu posted on yelp. Be advised the prices are not up to date - the pictures of the menu are a little dated. Many of the entrees are still current. Just ask when you call! We had the salt and pepper pork tenderloin, bokchoy with mushroom, beef with Chinese broccoli, and crispy flounder with garlic and onion (you can't get this anywhere else - I've looked). Everything was so good!! The inside of the restaurant is very clean. I think we've found our new favorite place. I didn't think to take pictures of our dinner. We recently moved to Vallejo and tried Lucky Garden. Quannie Ly answered the phone as it was close to 8pm, but she made our 1st experience just perfect; she was kind and really helpful. I loved the spicy beef noodle soup..perfection, and the veggie mu shu was just fine. On our next visit, we got the chinese broccoli with garlic and ginger sauce, veggie chow mein, and mapo tofu. Hubby and I are on a Chinese food kick. We looked on Yelp and this place had some good reviews. When we arrived there was a sign to ring the bell if the door was locked. We rung the bell and in no time were let in. We were the only customers And it was was chilly but they turned on the heater and it began to get warm. We ordered the seafood fried rice, Beef Chow Fun and Mushu pork. The Mushu pork and fried rice were good and we also enjoyed them as left overs the next day. The Beef Chow Fun was greasy and even though we had some left over we avoided eating it as a leftover. We will definitely be back cause this is the best place we've found in the area.
