Known to berate people out on a whim is another deal. Geez, tone it down a bit and give people some space to relax. Pros: *Super quiet *Staff helps guide rigs in to park. *Probably not great for kids. *Beautiful location on the river. *Bathrooms; very clean. *Prices are reasonable. *Decent wifi. *Owner pays attention to keep the riff raff out. Cons: *Gravel spots. *Super small patios that are heaving which could lead to twisted ankles exiting rigs. (Request to owner: Remove some of the lawn and improve patio size, this much needed improvement would also use less water and allow patio furniture more space). *Uptight guy owner. *Many deer hazards on the road to town.

Our site had a picnic table and fire ring on the BACK side of our back-in site, by the neighboring RV's door/windows, so it was inconvenient and uncomfortable to use them. The older lady with short hair who works there hovers over the game room/laundry facilities area. We went upstairs to play pool while waiting for our laundry and she hurried into the building, yelling, "Excuse me! Have you been here before? Do you know the rules?!" (Ummm, we're just a middle-aged couple playing a game of pool.). We replied, telling her we know the "rules" and continued playing, but she remained there, standing at her post and watching/listening to us. It was so awkward and we couldn't understand why we were being watched. PROS: The campground is in a beautiful setting and great location. There are some open field areas where you can play frisbee and catch and it's only a short walk to the beach.

If walking isn't your thing- this location makes for a short drive to the heart of Bandon. Excellent customer service, even before we arrived and on site to make sure everything was good to go for our stay. Onsite laundry ($2. to wash, $2 to dry) was a double bonus for us as well. Super clean bathrooms if you need them- we are self contained and prefer using our own. Great place to walk the pets close by (lots of doggy bags available to pickup after your fur babies) We used their BBQ grill to cook dinner. Several comfy spots to lounge outside- small picnic table at rv spot. 5 stars all the way around- can't wait until our next visit. Thanks again for accommodating us!

I can't say enough good things about Bay Point landing!! We stopped here on a Pacific Coast…read moreroadtrip and after a two-night stay, I was so sad to leave. The property is just a 15-minute drive from downtown, and located off a decently busy road. But when you turn down the driveway and pass through the tree line, it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. The bay surrounds the site on basically three sides, and the views were just so stunning. We stayed in one of the cabins (a tiny house really) and loved it. It's super comfortable and modern, and the heat, hot water, kitchen appliances, etc. all worked perfectly. Even though this place is technically a campsite, you're not roughing it at all. One of our favorite parts was the little porch and fire pit alongside the cabin. They give you a starter kit with wood, kindling, and a lighter, and you can purchase more from the property store. Speaking of the store - you can text the front desk to place an order, and they'll deliver it via golf cart for no additional charge. Such a nice perk since the property is a decent size. We walked down to the beach each night to watch the sunset and couldn't get enough of it. The place was pretty quiet while we were there at the start of off season, so it was calm and peaceful, but it seemed really family friendly too. Bay Point was the highlight of our time in Coos bay, I might have to come back to this part of the world just to stay here again.

The lobby/store has useful supplies and there's a number you text any time and they will bring you stuff. The staff is friendly and efficient. We have only been there on long weekends and it is a little pricey at that time but I would say not prohibitively so. We went to Bastendorff beach, shore acres state park / cape arago loop trail / simpson beach, and John Dellenback dunes trail - all of which are really close. I also like that the property seems quiet and isolated, but you have access to multiple big stores just 10min away.

It wasn't as big as I expected, but they had all of the slot machines I enjoy playing, so I was happy with the selection. I also appreciated how clean everything was. I constantly saw employees wiping down the machines, and the ventilation system does a good job of keeping the casino from feeling overly smoky, even though smoking is allowed. On the downside, the non-smoking room still smelled like cigarette smoke, which was disappointing. The slot machines also seemed pretty tight during my visit. I wasn't impressed with the rewards program either. New members only receive $5 in free play after signing up for a player's card and spending $10 first, which seems a bit backwards. It would be nice if the free play was available immediately as a welcome incentive. Despite those drawbacks, the clean casino, great machine selection, and waterfront location made for an enjoyable visit.

Our guides--Peter, Anna, Kristen, and Jonas--were ideal leaders and companions: friendly, skilled, professional, and hard-working. The lodges were a treat, especially at the end of a rainy day, and the food at all of them was excellent. I only wish that the trail-hiking option (hiking along the river trail while the rafts floated) was more clearly explained in WRE's website info, I would have brought hiking boots if I had known about that option.

This is a popular hub for road trippers and travelers to sleep in the parking lot behind the casino and use their bathroom. I felt incredibly safe sleeping here, security patrolling and a nice bathroom inside the casino that is available 24/7. They have complimentary drinks ( coffee and soda) and you can play slots if you want! Warm heater inside casino and my fav part was waking up to the beautiful forest, nice cold weather and having a bathroom I can use in the morning.
